Reviews of Garden of the Gods Club & Resort 4*
Beautiful overnight stay at the resort. Dinner on site was amazing. The massage at the spa was divine. Everyone from the bellhop, to front desk, to our waiter and my masseuse, were friendly and helpful. Kids club staff was fun and kind to our baby. The view from our room of the “kissing camels” was great! Overall an amazing stay!
Its a must visit place if you are in colorado.
Wonderful visit! Hotel staff was very helpful and very polite. Scenery is second to none.
This is an amazing place. Excellent service food and great attitude from all the help. I will definitely be back.
Loved it! Dear walked across the lawn in front of our patio, massage was awesome, and our meals were exquisite. All of this was topped by the most amazing view of the red rocks!
Fabulous view great service!
Amazing setting. Food was good with cocktails and dessert being standouts. Service was lacking. She was very nice but drinks took forever (both rounds) and just generally slow. Took about 10 minutes for server to initially come to the table. Hostess brought water and took first drink order then We sat for a while.
A beautiful place with incredible views. Lovely staff that did everything to make our stay just perfect. We look forward to returning to this magical place again! Thank you!
Great atmosphere with plenty of room to relax and spend time with friends and family.
The impeccable customer service and personal attention along with the spectacular location and scenic views at this resort make it unbeatable!
Amazing! Highly recommend!
Word on the street is that Garden of the Gods club got a new chef. Sure tastes like it and the views can not be beat. Great place to say if you want to spoil yourself while visiting Colorado Springs.
Great food. Great experience. My second time today. I’ve been here 2 yrs ago.
My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon and we didn't want to leave! The resort was beautiful and the view is unreal. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and the food at the restaurants was excellent. We also got a massage at the spa and it was probably the best massage I've ever had. I highly recommend this resort.
Stunning views, wonderful people and kind staff.
Beautiful place to stay in Colorado Springs. All the employees whom I have met are very friendly. The employees go above and beyond for you. Excellent service!
Such lovely hospitality, VERY CLEAN. Room service on the balcony more than amazing, and the view, BREATHLESS! … absolutely BREATHLESS! (lovely pool too)
Service is amazing. Hotel is ☆☆☆☆☆
but
the view is priceless.
Casitas are absolutely amazing. Definitely worth the price.
Amazing staff, facility and views. Food is great.
Huge beautiful views, comfortable accommodations, and great people and service. Would love to come stay again.
Absolutely everything about this place is second to none. Especially the staff.
Amazing place, but what makes this place even more special is the outstanding staff. Rarely have we experienced the care and interest that they showed for their guests.
Cannot recommend this place enough.
Can't wait to go back. Gorgeous views and a heated pool where you swim even in winter. Very good food and service.
Great atmosphere, gorgeous views, great service! It’s our second stay in less than 2 years. Not cheap, but appropriately priced for what it offers. The Ponderosa room has astounding views of Garden of the Gods and Pike’s Peak.
Great place, views are fantastic.
The Casita was lovely and well apportioned. The bed was wonderful. Fireplace is a nice touch.
Everything is so nice. From the room to the dining, spa, pools and the views. Spectacular.
Amazing place the food was outstanding for the wedding I will be back.
Awesome Resort… with exceptional service… and spectacular views.
Great rooms and great views. Staff was extra friendly.
Friendly staff, great rooms and views.
My friends and I just checked out of this establishment. We had high hopes and great expectations upon arrival. However we were entirely let down by the resorts inability to provide good costumer service. When we arrived we were told our room wasn’t ready and that we were being moved. Our room happened to share a conjoining door with unknown neighbors, which we could hear them all through the night playing loud music and partying till 4:00am in the morning. When we did call the front office about our situation, the person who responded wasn’t very helpful and did little to help us. To add to all the noise the door that we shared with our neighbors somehow had opened in the middle of the night and we were unable to to lock it and securely close it. We called the front desk for them to fix the door. After 45 minutes of waiting for someone we called back and someone finally came. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing stay-cation to celebrate my friends 30th birthday and a time for us to bond before we report back to our classrooms. Unfortunately I would not recommend this resort to any of my friends or family.
My friends and I wanted to take a relaxing trip to Garden of the Gods resort to celebrate my 30th birthday. The views looked incredible online and we saw nothing but great reviews and so our expectations were high. Upon arrival, our room was not ready at the original time stated. We were given a room number and “amenities keys” to use the pool and fitness center while we waited. Our amenties keys did not work. We had to badger staff to let us in and out of the building at the pool until our room was ready. Once our room was ready, they abruptly switched the number and area of the cottages where we were originally supposed to stay. No one helped us find our room and it was very confusing to find our cottage. We even stopped to ask the woman at the wellness desk who also did not know and tried to call the front desk for us twice. No answer. We eventually found our new room on our own and it was not a full cottage with a fire pit as promised. The room was small and the views were orange construction fences and dirt. Also, it clearly conjoined with the full cottage next door. Our neighbors were extremely loud shouting and playing music throughout the night. We called the front desk to voice our concerns and were assured someone would ask them to “keep it down. ” The noise continued. While our neighbors were especially loud, the walls were so thin you could even hear our neighbors dropping coins on the floor.
LOVED! This hotel it was amazing grounds were beautiful rooms were spectacular and comfortable but just be aware if you are a plus size person the robes will not fit you so bring your own to both the spa and the room. We had a full blizzard that pretty much kept us locked up but I didn’t mind it at all the massages at the spa were great and staff was so nice and accommodating my only issue was inless your into super fancy food there wasn’t much to eat at the restaurant except 2 items so we had to venture away from resort for food but other then that was a great experience and I can not wait to return.
This place is awsome, very clean room with amazing views, and the pools are perfect!
This place is amazing, and the staff is perfect! Absolutely beautiful!
Imagine waking up to a picturesque view you'd find in national geographic and you'd have what overnight guests are offered here. With the monolithic sandstone pillars of the garden in the foreground, and Pike's Peak as the backdrop, I don't think you will find a more amazing view. Couple this with the resort's attention to detail and helpful front desk staff that attend to you in a way that makes you feel like royalty, and it's hard to imagine a more perfect place to stay. The room is spacious, comfortable, and with nice touches throughout. Thoughtful things from quality coffee, to a personal blanket to keep warn while you watch the sun light up the mountain formations from your personal balcony leave you with the impression that they don't believe in cutting corners here. Only negative was the in-room service but that wouldn't/won't stop me from coming again.
Beautiful place in a beautiful location. I didn't stay here for long but the people that worked there were very nice and the place was spotless clean. I bet it would be a nice place to stay the night or to have a nice meal. The dining area was impeccable.
I absolutely love this place! The views are just phenomenal and really show the miraculous works of God. Although there isn't much shade, that doesn't stop me and my dog from having a great hike. There are many opportunities to hike off the main loop around the park which is great. There are bathrooms in different areas, and is dog friendly.
An amazing place to stay, the rooms are beautifully appointed, nice size and very comfortable. The staff are incredible and very attentive. You won’t find a better place to stay in the Springs. Love it!
I'm here for several days for a training event and it has been wonderful. There was a slight problem with my room and the staff worked to address it immediately. The meeting rooms are beautiful and well-catered. The event staff is professional and extremely competent. They organized a team building event for us where we competed to concoct the best ice cream sundae, which was very fun. Highly recommend this as a place to host or attend events.
Mixed review. Rooms and view near five stars. Food is way below par and borders on pub grub. Very few newspapers — " Get here early if you want one, we only get a few" says something. No lobby coffee or pastry also speaks volumes and even more so at the very high rates. Fitness center is more YMCA like than resort. A generous three stars because our family of five in two nice rooms had a great stay and make the best of a mediocre expensive "resort. " With the above suggestions, a little more generous attitude and vastly improved food, Garden of the Gods Resort could deserve five stars. Give it a try.
My husband and I stayed here for our First Anniversary. We were blown away by the views and stunning amenities. Jill was extremely accommodating and even upgraded our room for us. This place is amazing and we will certainly be back!
A very customer focused experience. Excellent staff and amenities. The views are amazing. There's a little construction ongoing on the south end of the resort, but this is opening up some amazing options far beyond normal rooms.
The place and the views are amazing. Dinner was delicious at the grand view dining room. Breakfast was just so-so. Room was warm, and it wasn’t during the summer. I felt the AC was inadequate. Also when we had breakfast brought to our room some fruit had mold and I had to call 3 Times and got attitude from the lady when I told her. Overall I would stay again.
This place is quite awesome. When we first saw the club/suites it looked like a motel 6 on the outside. But looks are deceiving! This resort/hotel is fantastic. There is free valet parking and the staff is super friendly. We got checked in by Jill and she was super friendly and really made us feel welcomed. Our room have great veiws of the mountains and the garden of the gods. There are fireplaces in the room, which was nice on the cold nights. The only thing I would have liked better would have been the pillows. My wife and I like our pillows firm and they have feather pillows. Overall this place is awesome! I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a nice get away.
The view. Wow the view. I could lay on my bed and look out the back door and see the kissing camels. It was amazing. The only reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is due to thin walls where I could here the people next to me. Otherwise no complaints. I will stay here again.
Garden of the Gods Club and Resort is one of the premier spots in Colorado Springs. From the moment you arrive, you'll sense a touch of class and elegance from the setting and the welcoming valet (you can also self park). The lobby is simple yet elegant with rich floors, decor and seating. The staff is extremely accommodating. I delivered some roses and champagne in the morning and asked them to have it in the room when we checked in so I could surprise my wife, the gladly did it for me. The views are some of the best in the world. We had a nice workout in their gym while my wife enjoyed a massage with champagne and strawberries. We spent some time in the hot tub and outdoor infinity pool. The entire experience is top-notch through and through. There is also world-class golfing available. This is a must-visit place if you're looking for a refreshing getaway.
Super nice almost over helpful staff. Everyone who works here seems to be smiling. The room we stayed in was wonderful. It was clean and comfortable with lots of closet space and a large dressing/bathroom area. A bit pricey but worth every cent.
We just left the resort this morning and we will definitely be back! This is our second trip to Colorado Springs in a year and we’ve stayed here both trips. The staff is unbelievable! I can’t say enough about them! Brandon and Jill both went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect! Jill went on her lunch break and got me Oreos! The rooms are clean and big, the amenities make everything feel luxurious and the view is unmatched! It’s simply breathtaking…
Best resort in Colorado Springs. Attentive service, cozy room with a great layout, and the most incredible views of the Garden of the Gods. One feature I really appreciated was the ability to text with the front desk when I had a question or needed something. One tip if you have kids: no kids menu on room service menu but they do have choices if you call. Also a nice cafe to get your latte in the morning.
This place is great. It has the best views of Garden of the Gods that you couldn't get anywhere else. The area is quiet and it has many different places to sit and relax. The rooms are nice and the entire complex has a nice modern feel to it. The staff are funny and make you feel very welcome. If you come to the Springs this is the place to be. I enjoyed the meals that I got too. The bison burger is incredible.
This resort is incredible! Beautiful rooms provide a gorgeous view of the Garden of the Gods and the mountainside. The employees are very attentive and helpful. The in-lobby restaurant provides high quality but affordable breakfast & lunch. Plenty of excellent bars, restaurants, recreational dispensaries, and outdoor activities within a 20 minute drive. I wanna stay here every time I visit Colorado.
Gorgeous View of Garden of the Gods. Great menu for breakfast and lunch. The space is very tastefully decorated and very elegant without being to "stuffy". Had a wonderful brunch and our party of 11 was easily accommodated. The staff was very friendly as well!
Great location, with excellent views of Garden of the Gods! However, service is not so Great. Especially in the bar lounge area. A lot of staff running around looking busy, but service is very poor.
I'm a member here, and I am enjoying it so much! I'm young (early 30's) so I wasn't sure how it would be, but WOW it's gorgeous and the amenities included in your membership are worth it. The views are sensational! The new gym and spa are also worth checking out. My husband plays golf all the time and the course is well-manicured and the golf staff is truly nice to work with. The brunch on the 1st Sunday of each month attracts my Denver friends down to the Springs for bottomless mimosas and fancy delights!
I was there for a work luncheon. Food was mediocre at best. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. And the view is second to none.
We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days after our wedding and had a wonderful experience. All the staff were super friendly and attentive. They also have a day spar which is superb. I recommend getting one of their massages if you get a chance because it'll leave you relaxed for the days! Overall we had a great experience and a wonderful time.
We went for my husbands company Christmas Party. We were in a conference room that was elegantly decorated. There were 2 Christmas trees with 2 nice chairs between them. Perfect for a picture opportunity. There was a guitarist playing Christmas music by one of the trees. Out in the hallway the had the bar and buffet line. We had a wonderful time.
My husband and I just got back from a week at the garden of the gods resort. What a week it was. We have stayed at many resorts, this one is by far our new favorite. The views are to die for, the food is amazing, (try the Rueben) the rooms are so cozy and the staff is super helpful. I can't wait to return someday soon.
Hands down one of the best places to stay in Colorado Springs. Every room has a view. I enjoyed the butler's pantry with the separate closet and vanity area from the largess of toilet rooms accompanying a shower built for 2.
What a beautiful place to spend a night or a weekend. Very friendly staff that were always helpful. Spent our Anniversaey night here and it was perfect!
This resort has solid customer service, and really beautiful expansive views from outside your room and in the lobby area by the restaurants. The drinks and menu at the casual restaurant are very contemporary and creative. The one thing this is a big minus is that the pool overlooking the Garden of the Gods is adult-only — and the only pool the kids are allowed to go in, is a club pool located 2 miles away from the lodge. It would make much more sense for families staying here for the lodge to offer family swim time at the pool — maybe until 1 pm, and adults only after that — or any other solution. Otherwise, families staying here for weddings or events get separated from other friends. Also, why is there a "Property Improvement Fee"? I don't get how a hotel is allowed to tack on fees at the end of your stay. The fee was $8.53/per night. I don't get it. This is just wrong plain and simple. What fresh-out-of-grad school consultant came up with this? I wish I could just come up with a "Cost Recovery Fee" or "Profit Improvement Fee" at my work.
My wife and I got married here yesterday and the experience was incredible! My wife got her hair and make up done at the on-site spa and since there was no wedding party they also helped her get into her wedding gown and dressed. The entire staff at the spa was extremely helpful and accommodating. We were supposed to have an outside ceremony but it was rained out. Instead, the hotel staff allowed us to use one of their terraces that overlooks the Garden of the Gods, it was beautiful! I cannot say enough good things about the service at this resort.
One of the best massages I've ever had, left all my knots on the massage table. Massage was customized to treat my problem area (neck). It is such a relaxing environment and professional services. Lovely and accommodating staff. 10/10 would recommend!
Positives — great views, very nice rooms, generally good service. Negatives — wine glasses and a cheese platter in the room, but no wine to put in the glasses! No mini bar. I guess you have to pay the $6 room service fee to get them to deliver a bottle? Negatives — cocktails in the dining area took FOREVER to arrive, and were terrible. Didn't taste like a cocktail, just straight spirits. We mentioned this and were delivered two more, which were not much better. Very disappointing for a "high end" resort, having no one who knows how to make cocktails. So we had the privilege of spending over $20 on two cocktails that we didn't drink — and the resort staff didn't seem to be bothered about our feedback, even when we checked out. Crazy that some yuk drinks might put us off going back! They need to invest in some knowledgeable bar staff! Our waiter was lovely, but you could tell he was very green. We think they have new seasonal restaurant staff? The phone call to see if all was okay with our room was nice, but over the top given they were interrupting us for no good reason. Have given four stars for the great view and nice room. Otherwise not a 'resort' experience, and not worth the additional $30 resort fee. Disappointing as I would have liked to return, but will try somewhere different next time.
We only stayed for one night but it was amazing. We went to the bar after checking in and got a class of wine, a martini, and some truffle fries and tamales. They were extremely accommodating and lit a fire outside for us, pulled a portable heater close by, and had housekeeping grab us some blankets. The room was gorgeous and breakfast on the patio is something I will never forget — we cuddled up with some fur blankets and watched the snow fall over the Garden of the Gods with some delicious room service breakfast and lattes. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be stopping by.
We love the Garden of the Gods Club and Resort. The spacious rooms, wonderful linens, and magical views of the "Kissing Camels" are a favorite of ours. The entire resort has recently had remodels and upgrades. Really lovely, and the personnel is all excellent and helpful with many long term employees. In the lounge and dining room you will find a careful, reasonable wine list and dining menus that offer sides and entrees prepared with care and knowledge. Delicious! — — There are spa and wellness features offered here as well as golf and about anything else you might want to do.
Absolutely breathtaking view, fabulous room & service. Easy access to garden of the gods park. Only complaint is that it's a little far from restaurants, doesn't include breakfast, and they charge you a resort fee. Regardless, would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly to anyone looking for a great place to stay with a gorgeous view!
What a beautiful property. The views of Garden of the Gods are breath taking. Service at the restaurant was a but spotty but we had a very large party so it was mostly understandable. Highly recommended to enjoy.
I was really nervous about the Groupon deal before we went after the last review, but it was AWESOME! We'll be going back for sure! I would guess this is their peak season for the pool as there were maybe 15-20 people (mostly older) out at the infinity pool, but it was still great. The view is just like the pictures show! Massages were good with some essential oils and a nice warm foot warmer near the end. Locker rooms are what I would expect for a smaller spa. Steam room and co-ed hot tub were beautiful. "Complimentary drink" on groupon deal was 1/2 glass of champagne, but that's not what sold the deal for us anyways, so no biggie. Yes, there was an additional $50 from what we paid on groupon, but that's pretty customary on spa services to automatically add 20% gratuity, which is a lot easier than having to ask about it and carry cash, etc. Not having to drive up I-70 to an expensive spa or fly somewhere, this was an excellent stay-cation (even just for an afternoon)!
Staff is very professional and friendly. Food is excellent and hotel gives plenty of information on surrounding events and activities. Best one is the garden of the gods which is less than 10 minutes from the hotel room. Pike's peak is also very close.
Spa was awesome. Roxanne is great. The reason I will not be spending several hundreds of dollars there again is the restaurant service, quality, and the way the wait staff treated us. My boyfriend and I took our moms as a Mothers day gift to them. It was pretty embarrassing to be treated the way we were. This has now been since late April since we were there and I complained that day as well as called twice to have someone call me about the unacceptable service from the restaurant. NOBODY has called, great customer service! Horrible experience, everything from extremely slow service, to over charged on "double" drinks, to a waiter that told us what he could bring us but didn't, to a COOKED ahi tuna $28 salad YUCK! I have pictures, It is ridiculous. We were treated like garbage that day. VERY embarrassed in front of the moms. Maybe if we were members we would have been treated differently, who knows. I saw myself and family spending a lot of time at this place but I guess not after the horrible experience followed by lack of customer service. Our first visit on March 30th was really nice, (spent$250 that day). This visit, not so much, ($565 spent). I am sure I will be treated better somewhere else, maybe somewhere that values my dollar as well as my business.
We bought a Groupon for a couples massage which was to include 2 complimentary drinks, a 50 minute massage, and full use of all amenities at the spa (pool, spa, exercise room). The massage was great. No complaints there. But, we were not given complimentary drinks, we were not given use of the pool or any other amenities and we were charged an extra $50 on top of the $150 we had already paid for the Groupon. Also, the girls working up front were having some sort of dispute over their lunches and who owed who money. It was very unprofessional and one girl in particular who was working the front desk was kind of rude and pushy. We won't be back.
Great View! Good food. Slow service.
The food was amazing and the views were absolutely breathtaking! The staff that served us at the event were all very friendly and proffesional. If I were a member there I would be over there probably every day!
It was a great time! The staff was very helpful and the fries were delicious. They also took good care of my mom who has food allergies. We also got massages and pedicures which were wonderful.
Absolutely fantastic experience overall! The staff are all very accommodating and friendly. Views are terrific, our room was very clean and spacious, and the food was great. Would absolutely recommend staying here!
The room we stayed in was wonderful. We booked through a 3rd party and the pics on their site didnt to the room justice. The view was spectacular and the bed was a trap… we had a hard time leaving it. Who could blame us with that view and fireplace and bathrobes? Will return soon.
The location is perfectly placed in front of Garden of the Gods and it is amazing for a traveler. The view of the red rocks in front of Pikes Peak from my balcony is breath taking. My room is fairly spacious with a comfortable king size bed, a fireplace, a granite desk, nice tv, couch, and a beautiful privacy room. The restroom/privacy room — or whatever you'd like to call it — opens to a large sink in the middle and then on each side opens to larger areas. One side has another sink and a great makeup station plus a walk-in closet with hangers and robes, and the other side opens to hold a fridge, wine glasses and a cooler, a mini coffee station, a safe, and many cabinets plus a separate room containing the toilet, shower and bathing tub. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and there is much to do. They provide a map that not only shows you different things to do in the hotel, but it also tells you the hours each place is open which I found very helpful. Side note — their two dining areas were fantastic! In the am I slept in and missed room cleaning, but before I left for lunch, I called and asked if they could stop by anytime I was gone and as I was getting into my car, I saw room cleaning going to my room and I very much appreciated that they took that much effort and care. While leaving to explore close by local places, I noticed security in the valet parking each time which also pleased me very much and reasured to me that my car was in good hands when with them.
Fantastic, unknown gem. I highly recommend it.
Spectacular views from the lobby and from all the rooms. And great luxury class service all around. Highly recommend.
This was my family's favorite hotel by far of the 5 hotels we stayed at during our trip through Colorado. Beautiful grounds for the hotel itself, and the view of the Garden of the Gods was peaceful and serene. Wish we could have played the golf course, but it was fully booked up the next day and we had to move on to our next stop. We thought about changing our plans to stay an extra night we liked it so much. If and when we come back through this area, we will definitely stay here again.
Amazing! Beautiful resort overlooking the mountains, great customer service. One of the best rooms I've ever stayed in! Amazing will go back!
My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip out to Denver and Colorado Springs while she was off for the week and had a great experience at the Garden of the Gods. The resort itself is very simple, small and straightforward. They have the standard amenities we wanted (pool, hot tub, spa, room service) and not a lot of frilly extras. Due to the limited amenities, the resort fee was minimal. We spent multiple nights enjoying the hotel bar and the bartenders were quite friendly (and generous on their pours). However, the best amenity was the view. From our patio, we had an incredible view of the Garden of the Gods in the foreground and Pikes Peak in the background. There is no better view in the Springs area. I will definitely be returning to the resort.
If you are thinking about having a wedding or event here, DON'T! I had the worst experience with a business I've ever had in my life. There is a long story involved, but to keep it short, the staff was incredibly dishonest and rude with me in trying to have my wedding there. When I saw the view there, I knew I only wanted my dream wedding there. It took my fiance and I 5 days, numerous phone calls and a few emails to finally get ahold of John. He gave us the details and prices regarding a wedding. The price was ridiculously high on the reception and we were hoping for some flexibility regarding the quote. We received none. After discussing we came back to John and said we wanted to have only the wedding ceremony. He had told us we could have our ceremony at sunset for $2, 000. When we came back and said we wanted just the ceremony, he said it would now cost $3, 000. When we asked why, John responded very rudely, in a way that I honestly can't believe. Furthermore, we felt taken advantage of because the price went up. We emailed the GM of the club and told him about the lack of response, rudeness and underhandedness we had experienced. He told us the club was trying to get away from weddings at the club, unless a member, and that he didn't know if we could have our wedding there period now. Seriously?! We were obviously devastated and asked again, so he came back and said if we wanted to, we could still do the wedding BEFORE 2pm for $3, 000. This is ridiculous!
Best view in area of The Garden of the Gods — from your room, the dining areas, bar, pool, … WOW. Wildlife outside your glass door (deer, rabbit, and by photos at desk — — bobcats). Beautiful star filled sky view from bed or couch and what a sunrise. Did I say they have excellent staff, great service, and very comfortable rooms. Gas fireplace adds to charm and romance. TV sound in all rooms, Starbucks coffee… We loved it. And, as my hubby said, "If you golf, who wouldn't want this view! "

Absolutely breathtaking views! Super friendly staff. The one improvement they need is some sound absorbing furniture in rooms, it echos pretty bad due to high ceilings I’m guessing. Otherwise it was amazing!
