We loved this place! Staff was very friendly, room was so clean (and I’m pretty picky), bicycles are an added bonus, and breakfast was yummy. I’d definitely recommend. We also saw lots of deer right on the property.

Most friendly staff — very helpful. The place is very relaxing and is in the best location. All the major sites are within 10 miles. They even offer free access to bikes!

Impressed how they thought of much of a cyclists' needs! Never been to a "bicycle" resort before! My bike and I had a great time LOL. Less than a mile from Garden of the Gods… and close to Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak too! Super friendly staff! I felt so much at home… thank you!

Awesome staff! Calli at the Basecamp Bike Shop goes above and beyond to serve your needs! she knows her way around ANY bike! A rack of loaner bikes that have something for everyone! games, and micro brews in the lobby!

I was staying at the RV park directly behind the Buffalo Lodge ran into them by accident super cool owner invited me on one of their rides which we did had a great time and spent most of the weekend there instead of our RV park I would highly recommend a place to live entertainment was wonderful and we had a very good time thank you Buffalo Lodge.

Great location, friendly staff, and comfortable beds. We loved riding the bikes around to explore, and my 7 year old loved the ping pong and giant kerplunk game on the front porch!

My cousin and I had an amazing stay. The rooms were nice and comfy. The atmosphere truly gave us so much to smile about. The staff was beyond amazing. Tori thank you for visiting and talking to us. I loved the location at the base of Pikes Peak & Garden of the Gods. The price was GREAT, and the updated modern rooms are super cute! The owner, Tori and her staff were very accommodating with excellent hospitality! Nice cozy lodge has a bar and a lot of board games to chill and play while relaxing. Free bikes offered to patrons as the old hunting lodge has been made over and is now geared toward bicyclists and other outdoor activities. I would highly recommend resting your head at this cozy, conveniently located lodge for mountain adventures. Thank you Tori and staff for the wonderful hospitality!

What a great find the Buffalo Lodge was! We only had 2 nights with them but are already planning our trip back. Great location, great people!

Just stayed here on a short vacation to Manitou Springs and really enjoyed the place. The rooms are newly remodeled, cute and cozy. Great for cyclist and non-cyclist and very friendly staff. Will be staying here again if we come back to the Springs.

This is the most amazing place I have ever stayed away from home in Alabama! The owner is wonderful with unremarkable customer service.

I rented a room at Buffalo lodge between the dates of 8/12 and 8/16. The one person we saw was nice and they were pretty accommodating. I really would like to recommended this place as it is not a bad place. But to pay 93.92 for 3 nights then 105.76 for the 4th night then 151.09 for the 5th night makes it awfully hard to recommended. Kind of my fault as I didnt look over the charges till I got home. Could of stay in a pretty ritzy hotel for the price of 105 and 151 with a better breakfast. Even 93.92 was a bit pricey. Oh well live and learn.

This place has been nothing short of AMAZING! From the moment we arrived on property, the staff has been welcoming, the atmosphere has been warm and inviting and the rooms were perfect! I can not recommend this place enough!

Super friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Very clean rooms — me and my nose are picky — with a great location very close to red rock canyon and garden of the gods. And if you are there for the biking, this is a great way to plug in to the community while your visiting. I definitely want to return!

We had a BLAST staying at the Buffalo Lodge; I’m so glad we stayed here. The property is vintage and quirky; the interior of the cottage we stayed in was tastefully decorated with fun bicycle themed touches. Beds were comfortable. We had a kitchenette & backyard with a view of Pikes Peak. It’s off the main road and my kids loved riding the bikes and checking out the horses next door. What a treat to get to stay here and meet the kind and tenacious family renovating this historic property!

This lodge was very unique. It is an historic lodge thought to be a favorite of Teddy Roosevelt back in the day. It is mostly composed of duplex structures which have been redone to modern standards with bicycle themes. The office building is impressive. There is a pool and breakfast is included with your stay. Garden of the Gods park is just a few blocks away. On Fridays, there is a farmer's market on the grounds with live music. We bought cinnamon rolls and marinara sauce. Next time we go to Colorado Springs, we will definitely stay here.

One of the cutest places I've stayed. It's got character for days! The farmers market on Fridays in the warm months is a great addition. Biking is the big theme for this place, but even if you're not a biker, the charm this place gives off will win you over.

Very uncomfortable and rather dirty! The decoration is outdated and the beds are the worst we had out of a 3 week ride from San Diego to Denver. In term of safety, the electric plug close to the kitchen sink… scary! In the bathroom, no place to put our toilet bags, we had to put them on the floor. The tub… Dirty… the air conditioning very noisy. The kitchenware the simplest you can imagine… a smell of smoke and humidity in the room… I guess the room we had was not a renovated one. I hope so, I can’t imagine it can be worse that the one we got It doesn’t deserve its 4.3 grade!

I am planning my third trip to the area and absolutely looking forward to returning to the Buffalo for a few days stay … would not miss it! The hotel rooms and property are clean and comfortable… it is quirky campy and a great place for the kids to get outside to play while you hang on the front porch… but the best part of your stay here is their customer service and how nice everyone is!

What a charming little gem! We stayed with our kids and my parents. When we checked in and they realized we were together, they rearranged our rooms to be side by side. The rooms aren't anything super duper fancy, but they are certainly clean and the beds are comfy! We got a more updated one and it was all we needed. The location is perfect, it's near everything we wanted to see! The staff was very friendly, the lodge had a great selection of local craft beers that you could enjoy around the property. They had a collection of board games you could borrow and bikes you could use. The breakfast wasn't too bad, the coffee was delicious and my kids were big fans of the waffle maker! We were in Colorado long enough to stay at 3 different places and not only was The Buffalo Lodge the most economical of the 3, it was the most original and all around favorite of my entire family. We look forward to visiting again! One of the highlights of the trip!

Staff was great, my room I stayed in was nice and updated (they are renovating the entire complex to this). Floor had a bit of some dirt but that was probably from me walking into the room and tracking it in. Bed was comfy, bike racks on wall. It is a really nice cozy place, favorite part was taking a walk out at night with all the outdoor lights. Gives it a nice feel. Not to mention you can make a quick ride to town for all the sites and other attractions. You are right next to garden of the gods Thanks.

We stayed here on our way to Montana from Texas. THE OWNER was super nice and the place was adorable. We got in super late which they helped us since we missed check in. We did not have time to hangout at the hotel but the next morning we got to look around and it would be a super cute place for a weekend getaway. This place is a must stop if you are in the area. The owner let us fill our to go cups with coffee for the road and told us the must sees in the area before leaving. This place is Texas approved.

I wish we had more time. We spent the last night of our 7 night vacation here. Three adults and three kids in beautifully renovated room 117 (a king, a double or queen, not sure), and a set of bunk beds. We had plenty of room. The beds and pillows were comfy. From the outside, BL is multiple adobe buildings, and it’s clearly historic. I knew what we were getting, but the rest of my family thought I had lost my mind since I’m a bit of a hotel snob. When I opened the door to ou…r suite, they were clearly impressed. One of my fave moments of our trip. Anyway, we arrived around 7:30pm, and had to leave by 11:30am to catch a flight out of Denver. The front desk was extremely helpful in giving us tips more maximizing our stay-where to eat, must-sees at Garden of the Gods etc. Breakfast was fantastic. In addition to the traditional waffle toppings, a jar of Nutella was set out as well. Yum! I gave this 4/5 stars simply because we could hear our neighbor’s TV through the wall. People noise when I’m trying to sleep is a pet peeve. We remedied this by turning the A/C fan on for the night. We have more exploring to do in the CO Springs area, and can’t wait to return. We will definitely choose Buffalo Lodge again.

Amazing place with down to earth people and the new ownership is outstanding! Best off the beaten trail place to stay for bicyclist and families together. (Swimming pool, bean bags "corn hole") and of course bike rentals! Not to mention the Friday farm market that includes great local artists, playing anywhere from Tom Petty to Johnny Cash. Owner and staff are great! If you want a real local experience without the congestion of the tourist attractions, but within 5min of downtown Manitou Springs, this is the place to be!

Our first time in this beautiful area and we couldn't have gotten luckier in finding this gem! Personal, generous and sincere staff are like family and they truly value your experience with them. We will be vacationing again, and this is a top stay on our list. Rooms are clean and eccentric in such a unique way. The property is truly worth the 16 hr drive we made to stay here and we would look forward to it again. 10 stars if I could give it! Thank you to everyone at Buffalo Lodge… you made our trip memorable in your very own way.

This rustic family owned hotel was one of the best places I've stayed! The owners and the staff are very friendly and accommodating all you have to do is ask. The rooms were always clean and the pool was nice and cool after a hot day of sightseeing. The second day they even had a farmers market and live music. The common area was a very nice place to enjoy an evening of beer and good company. I will be going back and highly recommend this place.

Such a nice little lodge, different then a normal hotel stay. Very friendly staff and nice new renovated rooms. They even offer local farmers market on site on Fridays as well have different bike riding activities throughout the week. 10/10 would stay again!

Absolutely amazing people that work here. The staff and the owners are incredible people, they go out if their way to make you feel at home. Very positive vibe to this place. If you are looking to be close to the sites, yet have a place away from it all this is the place to book! :) You will regret it if you miss this place!

Great restored motor Lodge! Very cool, as restorations using bicycle theme throughout! Neat bar in lodge, serving local craft beer and moonshine! Amazing people there! Perfect for unique travelers who are looking for an experience, not just a hotel room!

My wife and I were vendors at the Roll bike art festival today. The event put on by the Buffalo Bike Lodge, and headed up by Owner Tori and team. Simply put, we absolutely enjoyed every moment of this family oriented event. Packed with fun, and engaging activities. We were introduced to many wonderful people. My personal favorite was meeting owner Tori's mother and 90+ grandmother, both of which provided for a fantastic visit. I was truly inspired when I watched them ride away on a recumbent tandem, an awesome site! We recommend Buffalo Bicycle Lodge for it's fantastic Colorado Springs cycling location, and for it's wonderful owner and management.

Stayed here with the Wounded Warrior Project for a few days and had a blast, I really wish I could have stayed longer. You should definitely take a chance and stay here all the way from the ownership on down this place is spectacular.

Probably the best decision I made booking this little lodge. The staff was so friendly and made us feel at home. The rooms were clean and super comfortable. The location is perfect, it's close to nearby attractions (Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Manitou Cliff Dwellings). I loved this place so much I had to cancel my hotel in Denver just so I could stay another night. Definitely going back again!

Quaint, eclectic, but serviceable accommodations in a restored old time motor court. Interesting facility, with a unique bicycling theme. A very good management crew that went out of their way to give us their best service when we suddenly had to make alternate arrangements due to the health needs of one in our party.

Torie has done an incredible job with this historic gem! The renovated rooms are sweet, and they have some great local beer in the lodge! Just a stone's throw from Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks Open Space provides great riding opportunities!

Stayed here with my sister in October of 2017. Originally booked the room because the rates were cheap and we were on a budget. When we got there we found out the place was under new ownership and they were in the process of renovating. We stayed in one of the yet to be renovated rooms. It was dated but very clean and served our purpose for a place to sleep just great. The staff that checked us in were extremely friendly and informed us it was happy hour at the bar. Our bartender happened to be the husband of the owner. We sat and talked with him and had a few beers (they had an excellent selection of locally brewed craft beers) over the course of a few hours. He recommended lots of good places to eat and things to go do. Two of his best recommendations were to eat at rasta pasta and hike the 7 bridges trail. Both were awesome suggestions. Will be staying here next time im in colorado springs and I can't wait to see how far the improvements have come.

Stayed in the paint brush and pals cabin and it suited our family of 5 very nicely. It is centrally located and was very easy to see the sights and experience Colorado.

Under new management and the new family is awesome. They are working hard to fix the place up and it really shows. My family stayed this summer in the hot tub suite and my little 6 year old was in love. Also they have a bunch a loaner bikes for the family and a fun little play area. Clean beds, affordable rates and great staff. I was very happy with our stay!

Read all reviews. Most said was great place to stay. Staff was very polite. Rooms were not great. We had 2 king rooms. Both had weird smell to them. Freezer was frosted over. Had air conditioner that didn't get very cool or turn all way up. Heater was a long wall heater no way to adjust it so both ran at same time. Water went from to hot to freezing in shower without warning. The tub was very slippery with no mat. Almost fell. Understand they are renovating but rooms very outdated. Nicer places to stay for around same price. Website said breakfast. Got there and breakfast was not available except sat. Office only open 12 pm to 8pm.

Have you ever been to a place that hugs your soul in a way that makes you feel "Have I been here before? " Well that is the Buffalo Lodge. The owners of The Buffalo made us feel right at home… we are from FL. They treated us like family and were very gracious. Ask Torie about The 7 Bridges Trail by a waterfall. The setting is glorious by the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. The Locals are warm and unique. It is an artsy place with a lot of things to do within a 5 mile radius. The Buffalo Lodge has Free bike rentals for guests and it would be easy to spend hours riding along the trails and watching the local scene. We even saw a man playing drums in the park along the river. He was freely bopping his drums to the beat of mother nature. It is a beautiful place with beautiful and loving free spirited people. I cannot wait to go back soon.

The Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort was nothing short of fantabulous. A delightfully unexpected gem. Decided to stay on a last minute whim and it paid off. Upon arrival, I was a little apprehensive because, frankly, it could use a good coat of paint but the airy, eclectic lobby/common area, as well as, the effervescent staff made me feel right at home. They have a excellent selection of local craft beers at a fair price which made for a decidedly "happy" happy hour. Enjoyed the added benefit of an upgraded room, which had been recently renovated. I'm rarely surprised but the complete attention to detail, the cleanliness and style, literally, rendered me, momentarily, speechless. It was quiet, quirky and quant. And aside from a slightly finicky shower head, I couldn't find any maladies. The continental breakfast was the usual fare with a variety of fruits, cereals and waffles. Pedestrian but efficient. The coffee, however, was quite tasty and fresh. All in all, I would not only recommend it to my friends but I plan on staying there again.

This is a great and affordable hotel if you're staying in the Colorado Springs area. The rooms are clean, and if you're lucky enough to get one of the newly renovated rooms you'll be blown away. Tori and her staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. Within a few minutes of arriving we felt like part of the family. You're also right at one of the entrances to Garden of the Gods and so many other great sights and businesses.

This place was cute AF and, as a bike nerd, I was freaking out with all the bike decor and amenity. Our "king suite + futon" was huge! Like, I wish it were my apartment. Great location next (literally) to Garden of the Gods. Not your average place to stay but in the best way possible. Ex: got there an hour after we were suppose to for check in and the owner got out of bed without a grumble to let us in and even ventured off to get us extra towels we requested. Hope to stay again for more than just a night.

Torie and her family offer an experience like none other in the region! There is always an opportunity to do something fun from taking a dip in the pool, to riding a bike they loan for free, taking a guided bike ride, grabbing a brew at the watering hole, or visiting with guests from around the world. There are even weekly yoga offerings as well as special events like painting. The breakfast is abundant and delicious, the staff are warm and welcoming, and the property has a kitschy 50's feel with beautifully updated rooms and a bicycle theme throughout!

It is such a great place to stay! Everyone is friendly and accommodating. The pool is wonderful and everything is clean.

I stayed here on my way to Pikes Peak (which is less than 20 min away). I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the location and staff. The place sits in a good location with restaurants and entertainment venues nearby. Speaking of entertainment, they have outdoor activities like corn hole, a pool, and a picnic area. I had a chance to talk to the owner and their plans for renovations and more activities sound amazing. I'm totally coming back for another stay! It's a great place for families and an even better place for cyclists!

The Buffalo Lodge has great staff. We stayed there for a few days. Every time we got back to our room, room service already had cleaned. I recommend this place to people who like having close access to downtown Colorado/Manitou Springs and for people who like the feeling of living in a small village. One thing though. If you have AT&T, you will not have service in this area; you will need to depend mostly on Wi-Fi.

I have never experienced such down-to-earth hospitality like this before. We traveled from Texas with our 10 yr old special needs daughter and her service animal. We weren't able to book a room that is designated for pets for the length of our stay without having to stay in one cabin for 2 days then switch to another cabin the 3rd day. We decided it's what had to be done to get lodging at a decent price considering the time of year. Well, let me tell you that the owner and staff have gone above and beyond to accommodate my family and our needs. Complete strangers that could've just stuck to the options given at 1st but, no, she thought it through and was able to get us a room that we could stay in without having to move. It was pricier but she was so considerate in offering a discount AND waiving the pet deposit in order to help us afford our stay.

I've seen reviews on here about how outdated or old the place is. Well, it is! It's an old lodge that has so much history in it! It absolutely amazing and being here brings nostalgia to the surface. All I can think about, when I sit on the patio or picnic area or walk the property with my little girl in her wheelchair, is my childhood spent camping through the 70s and 80s and meeting new folks from all over and enjoying our camping experiences before so much prejudice and judgement entered our world.

New owners working hard to update. Everyone pleasant and accommodating. Clean and adequate, a work in progress. A historic destination that was the go-to-place 75 years ago. Best of luck with your vision and dream. Update: had a tour of completely renovated rooms and they get 4+ stars. Very nice and modernly quaint. We are here for a family reunion and they have been great to work with.

My husband and I stumbled upon the Buffalo Lodge when we decided to take our puppy on her first away from home adventure. We booked our room without much thought as we expected the room would be the least eventful part of the trip. We picked The Buffalo Lodge because of its proximity to Garden of the Gods and affordability. As it turns out our stay at The Buffalo Lodge was one of the highlights of our trip. The first night we became acquainted with the staff and owner while having drinks at their charming beer bar. Our puppy loved all the attention she received and we loved how everyone was eager to assist us in our training needs. The lodge is under new ownership. The owner and her staff are passionate about creating a hotel that's more then a place to sleep but also an experience in it's own right. We slept in one of the three pet friendly rooms which was recently renovated and felt like it was a steal for the price we paid. If you visit Colorado Springs and don't sleep at the Buffalo Lodge, you're missing out.

Will stay there again for sure. Dave at the counter was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were in very good shape for being such an old historical place. The beds were nice also. I absolutely love places like this. It was WAY BETTER than the quality Inn we had just stayed in in Kansas for less money.

Rustic, clean, charming and great staff!

The management here is AMAZING! They are very friendly and went above and beyond to accomadate us. The rooms were extremely clean and well kept. There were plenty of linens and towels for all of us and more room then we thought possible. These rooms definitely have lots of space to move around and you will not feel cramped in the least bit! It's a quaint place to stay and certainly has the small town homey feel you would hope to encounter in a mountain town. I would recommend this place to anyone planning a vacation to Manitou Springs and would want to enjoy real friendly come stay in our home kind of feel because that's the feeling you get here each room is a part of their home and they welcome you whole heartedly!

Servicable room, fast Wi-Fi and good service.

We felt as if we had stepped back into the heyday of old Colorado City by booking a night or two at this lodge. It doesn't appear that much has changed here over the years. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed & the staff are friendly. Make sure to take the kids into the office so they can see the animals mounted (Rumor has it that Teddy Roosevelt may have even contributed a big game trophy or two). Don't come expecting new accommodations, but please do expect it to be clean and suitable for a peaceful night's sleep. The cabins are nothing special but the beds are clean and the bathrooms are, too. Only downfall for our group was no cell signal and the Wi-Fi was terrible. It never hurts to put the phone down and play dominos tho.

The Buffalo Lodge is owned by the most wonderful people you would ever want to know. Conveniently close to Garden of the Gods and my favorite business establishments and restaurants. I love the rooms and I have stayed in different ones at different times (although I have a favorite and always get it when I request it). The place is extremely special to me and as long as is run by the present owners, there I will stay when visiting Colorado Springs.

Neat little spot… offers continental breakfast with coffee. Has Wi-Fi and a BBQ area for large groups or family dinner. The staff/owners are very accommodating and friendly, will be back for sure!

We have been staying here for the past 7 years, It's a wonderful stay, off the main road so you don't here all the traffic' nice pool, bbq pit, bring horse shoes, they have a horse shoe pit. Liz and family always make you feel welcome. If there is any problem, they take care of it, very family friendly, prices are great. We will continue to go there, atleast 2 to 4 times a year.
