Nice place to stay at Wel Resorts. Either Nortstar or One Village Place.

The sales staff makes you believe that you can reserve a week for your family during the high season of skiing (because they want to close the deal). They go so far as to say" you should not have any problem booking. " The problem is that when you call the reservation center they tell you "you have called too early" and then when you call back All the rooms are reserved. The most tragic part of this is that we doubled our investment to book for that one week and so far we are incapable of receiving a reservation for our family.

It was a great experience with John Anderson who I feel like is the most competent representative of the welks lodge. For all of his good work there was a young lady I did not know that at the end of the orientation when me and my wife said that it did not fit our needs she was short and very unprofessional I do not know her name. But I would recommend the visit and the orientation to anyone who can have an experience with John Anderson thank you.

The Staff was AMAZING and helpful. The rooms HUGE and beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom Room and it had everything we needed for the 4 day stay. Other guests were friendly and talkative. Excellent stay.

Family had a great time at the resort. We stayed for five days and the kinds had plenty of activities for them to stay busy at the activity center. Had some maintenance issues which were taken care of quickly. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our family needs. Only downfall is they are not pet friendly. They mentioned that it is something they are looking in to as more and more resorts are becoming pet friendly. Well worth the stay.

Northstar has a nice facility and the staff is friendly. Summer time is dead with many storefronts closed. Summer time has mountain bike trails and winter is the busiest and has skiing. Although our room air was broken so we had a portable air conditioner vented with a hose out an open window. Also the pool area did not have lifeguards nor any children activities like the other well resorts.

This place is great. Beautiful large room. Quiet. Lovely pool. Clean. Great activities for kids. Staff are great.

Its a great place to stay for an extended period. It has a kitchen and nice bathroom. Very clean. The hospitality staff are on point. The conceirge is going to try to sell you stuff, and make sure you understand which facilities you are able to access, and which you cannot. There's a HOA recreation club that you can't get into.

The booking and conceirge didn't give me accurate info about the services and grounds. The place is beautiful and everyone was helpful. I like the place, but there are places you don't get access too.

Bad experience. Nobody cared to tell us where the hidden parking garage is. We drove around for quite a while. There are no signs anywhere to tell you where to park. After returning to the lobby we were finally shown where to park. Our room number started with 2. It's on the third floor. The hallway carpets were badly stained and the smell of chemical cleaners made your eyes water. This place lost any chance of me returning, before I even got to the room. The coffee pot didn't work. When maintenance came, they discovered the doorbell didn’t as well.

I'm a timeshare owner here. The property is well maintained and offers rentals for non owners. It's an extremely popular place for skiing in the winter. Absolutely beautiful up here in the summer surrounded by trees.

There were only two issues I had with staying the night here. The first was that, in order to get our parking pass we had to talk to the concierge, which means we had to hear a pitch about timeshare rentals. The second was that the noise between rooms was very loud. It was mainly due to the fact that we had a doorway going between rooms, which they locked, but was still loud throughout the early morning. Everything else was fantastic. The room was clean the stuff was helpful. I would come here again.

Great accommodations! Beautiful area! The units are well appointed and comfortable. Professional and knowledgeable staff were very helpful!

Nice big 2 bedroom suite. Two different deep bathtubs. Two identical walk-in showers. Great underground secure parking with appropriate ventilation system. Clean rooms but had to wait twenty minutes past initial check-in time which was hard with a hungry toddler, a toddler needing a change and groceries that needed to be in the fridge. The rooms are big and take a while to clean, so don't try to check in early. Better off showing up a hour later or call ahead to see if your room is ready. They forgot to issue a parking pass too so I had to go to the front desk and get a parking pass a couple of days later. Convenient self serve bell carts for luggage.

Beautiful resort! Great location next to the Village that has restaurants, shops and the gondola. The rooms were great, we had a 2bd Villa with lots of space, loved the big soaking tub! The only thing is I wish I could have stayed longer.

Love this place. We are part owners now. Best choice we ever made. Couldn't be any happier.

I will give this place probably a zero but can't. Their floors are so thin that you can hear people walking on the floor above you. We got woken up at 11:30pm because the family below us complained of noise but we were asleep and my son had gotten up to go to the bathroom. No one was making noises but their floors are really thin. Next day we wanted to extend another day the lady on the phone was very rude telling us that rooms weren't available even we could see them on Priceline available at a cheaper rate. She said that we needed to check out at 10am and come back at 4pm to check in again. We asked for the managers information but she said no one was available to speak with us. She refused to give us his name or the general managers name. After a couple of hours my husband called and the manager answer the phone and offer us a room of we wanted to extend but we had already make the decision to leave due to the bad customer service. Probably we won't be back.

Rooms are spacious! Really can’t ask for a better location — so close to the mountain and you can ski in ski out with a private lift. They also have a ski valet so you can check your gear and don’t have to bring it in to the room.

This place is really close to the ski resort, and if I was not staying at this place, it would have been really difficult finding a parking spot, and also would have stuck in the traffic for many hours. The facilities are good, and good number of people could stay in one room. Nice come with 2 or 3 families together.

Northstar Lodge is near Lake Tahoe and sometimes, at wintertime, there is snow! The rooms are big when compared to other resort/hotel rooms. The service at the hotel is natural and good. They clean your room once, midweek, to not use up too much resources from Lake Tahoe. In my opinion, it is a very good and natural hotel. I highly recommend it to people looking for a place to go to for vacation near California.

First, upon arrival we learn that we are provided only one parking pass per room. Even though we had a three bedroom suite. Everytime we need assistance the employees are courteous, but it's take asking 3+ times to get anything done for various reasons. Once it was understaffing and another time it was that they don't own or operate the pool 50ft from the front office. The rooms are nice, but slightly outdated, but we were informed the rooms are being updated in a couple months.

Everything was pretty awesome! The room had everything you need for an awesome weekend at Northstar. Loved the kitchen and bathroom and everything!

I had a great time over the summer when I stayed at Welks at Northstar. It was an off week so hardly anyone there. I explored the mountain and all the trails, visited the lake, it was a wonderful time to just enjoy the peaceful serenity that is found during the 'shoulder season'.

This place is beautiful and steps from the village and skiing. Plenty to do and close enough to other skii resorts and the lake. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint about the Welks resort's, is that you have to walk through the resort to throw your own trash out. Reminds me a little too much of home.

This resort is pretty nice. Very convenient — right next to North Star. If you are looking to ski, skate, or snowboard, this place is awesome. But if you are looking for entrainment, I recommend South Tahoe.

Love this place. Beautiful scenery and the rooms are well designed. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

This Lodge is absolutely beautiful. Vacation ownership is absolutely the way to go for somebody with a fair amount of money that wants vacation for years to come and leave a legacy for many generations. I definitely recommend this to anybody who can make the upfront sacrifice and join their family.

The 3 bedroom was amazing. They had a cool Starbucks machine and neat snacks. Very cool place.

Beautiful lodge. Great scenery and wonderful accommodations. Check this place out especially during winter.

I won a trip of 3 night stay and Disneyland tickets with them. Over a year I tried to plan my stay. You can give them dates and they say they will let you know 2 weeks to a month before it's approved or not. Mine have never been approved because there have been "no available rooms". I gave them so many dates and for some reason never available they just make you take the tour for your prize and try to scam you into a timeshare… then never give you your stay.
I think …the way they get away with it is that it has a year expectation date. And they make you space your dates a certain amount of weeks apart and then you can't choose other dates till those go away. Then by then it's already 3 months. They are sneaky. And it's just a way to get people in their door for buying a timeshare. They had a bunch of people that "won" in there at one time bunch of tables you go on a tour and then they sit you down and try and talk you into a timeshare and they are ready to run your credit. They were so pushy during the tour. It's such a scam for the giveaway. I'm sure everybody that enters will get a phone call for a tour and the "prize"!
Oh and the people you speak with are rude and never call back like they say! Awful experience… funny thing is… if we enjoyed ourselves and their hotels they could of had another customer. We don't buy from a tour. Sorry. We buy from our experience. And this place blew!

Beautiful rooms, an up and coming area. We visited for the timeshare tour. Almost bought but not the time for us right now. But reasonable prices compared to other timeshare ownership out there.

Had to move my room 4 times. Guy downstairs was incredibly rude to me when I asked to be moved the 1st time. I had specifically requested a certain tub and when my 1st room didn't have it I politely went down and asked if I could be moved to a room with the specific tub. The tub I had even shown a picture of to the girl who originally checked me in. The guy told me that he could move me but couldn't guarantee me the tub and could only move me this one time. So I agree to move in hopes that I get the tub. You know the reason I am staying here. I get to the 2nd room. It is successful! Tub is in place. I go grab my bags from the car and have my fridge unpacked. Then the manager calls and informs me that the room I'm in needs maintenance on the fans and I will need to move rooms. No big deal. So I move up a floor. Now on room number 3. Also has the tub. So still happy at this point. Go to fill up the tub. Cold water. Let it fill thinking it will get hot. 15 minutes later still cold water. I check the shower. Also nothing but cold water. Call downstairs. They now move me into a 4th room. That does not have the tub. I give up. I stay in the room without the tub. The one reason I wanted to be here. Would not recommend.

Service was incredible. Friendly staff ready to help. The area sits between Truckee and Tahoe, so is especially convenient and breathtakingly beautiful. Rooms are top-notxh and can be subdivided from 3 to 1 for occupancy purposes.

Loved the scenery, shop's, restaurant's and bar's. If you're a romantic then the outside fireplaces and Jacuzzis are for you. There's also an outside skating rink and a kid's center.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom and it was lovely. It was clean and well kept. The kids had a great time at the pool and rec center and we all had fun taking the gondola up and down the mountain.

It was beautiful, and very nice accommodations. Very family oriented, which is great for families, less so for childfree couples like my husband and I. Also wish we could have brought our dogs.

We have a timeshare there so kind of bias. It is a beautiful place, especially the two newer buildings. Kids love the atmosphere and wife loves to relax on the porch. We have our own cabin/lodge on a lake off Sugar Pine on 108, and this place competes well against our cabin. Reserve the theater as soon as you get there. Invite other families too for more fun. Fun activities winter or summer.

I visit here about twice a year… They out-do themselves each time. Really an amazing place. Beautiful rooms and great service.

The rooms are beautiful, new and very luxurious. The staff as attentive and very friendly. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked in.

This place is a joke. We were approached at a baseball game and offered flight, hotel and 2 tickets to Disney. Turns out there was no flight. That's at least $1000 of a promise not fulfilled. They gave us two nights to Disneyland and two 1 day passes to Disneyland (not a hopper). They pressed hard for the sale. We declined and they gave us the phone number to Casablanca Express, their travel agent partner… This is where I lose my sanity. This Casablanca Express place is a joke. They never answer or when they do they put you in hold for 10 minutes then hang up on you. They told us to pick three different weeks and then they decided which week to give us. They told us to call them a month before our trip to book our hotel. They wouldn't answer the phone again. We left message after message and sent emails. Nothing. So we finally just booked our own hotel. I finally go through to them and Nadine, our agent tried to sell me hard on upgrading our room. I told her that we didn't need the free rooms because they wouldn't call us. Can do we booked them ourselves. So she says she'll email me the ticket vouchers… 18 calls later and we finally get them emailed the day before we leave. Then we get to Disneyland and it turns out that the vouchers aren't good for the day they booked us for. We had to pay $17 per ticket extra to use them on the blackout day. This place is a joke and their travel company is a scam. What a headache. It's places like this that scar the word TIMESHARE.

This has been a horrible experience! I went to a presentation and decided to purchase an audition with Welk. They took an hour and a half longer than promised and had "printing problems" causing us to be extremely late for another appointment. Due to the extra time we didn't read through the contract as carefully as I normally would have. We weren't given MOST of what we were promised in person. I have worked very hard to communicate with Welk to remedy the situation and all they do is give me the run around. I stopped making payments when they were completely unable to help me access the various aspects I was promised. Even though I had been communicating with them they decided to send me to collections. I am now in the process of filing with the Better Business Bureau and looking into hiring a lawyer to get out of my contract.

Very spacious rooms, close proximity to the slopes, and we even got free hot chocolate. It's an amazing place to vacation.

Wonderful experience. The 2 bedroom condo at Lake Tahoe was very large (could easily fit two families). The king size beds were very comfortable. It's located right next to the Village so food and drinks are just around the corner. The pool/hot tub area closes at 9:00 pm each evening, and we wish it could have been open later. Everything else was wonderful!

The room is very nice. We had a double room with each one having its own master bath. The kitchen was spacious. The decor was very nice. The resort itself is very nice. The snowboarding was fantastic.

Pretty convenient to the mountain but the mountain itself is crowded so if you stay here even if it's convenient you would have to choose whether you're down for the crowds or not.

The rooms are great! Built with everything you need, including a washer and dryer! The village is right across the way and is a great place to go when you have free time. Equipment rental is also very easy and convenient.

The lodge itself is very picturesque and the landscape that surrounds it is beautiful. I had some difficulty confirming my reservation, but the staff was willing and able to work it out. The rooms are fantastic, with plenty of space and very well sectioned off. The lack of trash cans and the gltichiness of the television were minor flaws. Great place to vacation.

Wow, this place is fabulous! This apartment meets hotel, we had a two bedroom, two bath, full kitchen, living and dining spaces, in unit laundry, in and outdoor fire places. Gated parking and a back ski up entrance too. Big pool, cool hottub with three separate areas, great gym and even a theater room you can rent out. Best part it's right next to the village.

Location is great. The people there treat you so nice. My husband and I were super excited to join the welks family.

Stayed in the newly built Fremont building's two bedroom room. Careful attention to homey detail and sophistication make for a luxury feel without sacrificing comfort.

We were invited for a timeshare presentation. The resort is gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful. Pricing for a timeshare is actually not all that terrible and MOST of the employees we encountered were great. The last two employees, however, once we confirmed we were not purchasing became aggressive in their tactics and flat out rude. We are still interested in purchasing through welk, but unfortunately they peddle their deals as being one day only and basically rip you off if you return later and interested, so we'll see how that goes. Might just buy a "used" welk Northstar timeshare.

Really beautiful view! We did the tour with Jeff and really enjoyed our time there. He was friendly and easy to talk to. Definitely recommend doing the tour and checking it out.

We stayed in a 3-bedroom suite and it was beautiful. Full kitchen, gorgeous dark wood floors, large and comfortable beds and a spacious living room that was perfect for social gathering.

Planned the reservation 2 days prior to to going. Tried to bring the expenisve price down but they were unwilling to budge. Reluctantly booked the room with a one day lift ticket for 2 adults. They tried to sell me on a two day lift ticket but I was only going to be able to use for 1 1/2 days so I saved myself +$120 by declining. We arrived Friday at the resort and checked in at the entrance location. We got to our condo (ski-in/ski-out) right up the road. Moved our gear into the condo quickly then bundled up and headed to the village. There were a couple things we forgot such as helmets and ski pants for the gf. We walked around the shops and everyone was more then delighted to help us. No one tried to push us to buy anything and told us to check out the other stores around for prices and better fits. We ended up exploring a few stores and got the gear we needed. We headed back to the room dropped off our stuff and back to the village. We stopped at a Mexican restaurant and got 3 baha fish tacos and some chips and guacamole. It was delicious and went great with a couple beers, small plate before dinner in a couple hours. We went back and hung out at the condo prepping our newly bought gear. Took a nap and back out to the village for a late sushi dinner. We split the ramen and a roll. And guess what, back to the condo. The next day we hit the slopes. Waled right outside, took the ski lift up instead of the gondola. Great idea if you want a mini run to get the day started.

The lobby was clean and well appointed. At times it was difficult to find help, however signage was adequate. Restaurant was good but not great, however location was outstanding.
