This place is a solid, great value hotel. Beds are comfortable with plenty of fluffy pillows, and the room and bathroom were very clean. Great service at check-in, free parking, and free breakfast in the lobby. Ten to fifteen minute drive to Kings Beach, five minute (if that) drive to central Truckee, which has a lot of cute shops, boutiques, museums, restaurants, bars. Extra bonus star: they allow dogs, only an additional $20 fee (which is beyond reasonable for the area). Booked this same day, and got a great deal. Will definitely return when in the area.

Great rooms, great pool, very friendly staff, Very good morning breakfast. I don't have any complaints about this place. I love when you first walk in it has that winter lodge like feeling. A couple bars within walking distance. A really nice place up a mountain.

We stayed 1 night. Everything was wonderful. Check-in was seamless. The remote wasn't working but the front desk traded it out immediately. We had breakfast the next morning. Food was good. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. We had no complaints and would stay there again.

This was a much better deal than Hampton Inn, one mile down the road, in terms of price per night. Not a fancy place, but there is a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room, and the breakfasts had several hot items available (scrambled eggs with and without meat, pancakes, make your own waffles, cereal, tea and coffee choices). Definitely a better breakfast offer than many places. The only down side of staying there was a pillow mattress that was too soft and had a big mound in the middle.

Check-in/out very speedy and efficacious. Staff all-around very courteous and helpful. Elevator available. Breakfast room well maintained, good variety of foods, coffee/tea/water available all day. Ice machines on both floors. Beds very comfortable, high mattress may be difficult for shorter stature guests to mount. Shower pressure could have been better but similar to most hotels. Couple of restaurants next door. Downtown walkable if a good walker and not hot out. Golf course adjacent. Management/staff response to malfunctioning air conditioner excellent.

When I return to Truckee, I already know where I'll be lodging… at the Best Western Plus, Truckee. Friendly and efficient staff, clean and comfortable rooms, great breakfast… great location. Why would I go elsewhere?

The most comfortable bed I've slept in! Room was small but cozy. Staff were friendly and helpful. It also has a nice small shopping complex next door with good food.

The Best Western hotel in Truckee is a nice hotel that I stay in during my ski trips to Tahoe in the winter and when I vacation in the Tahoe area in the summer time. The rates are are affordable and reasonable and the overall service very good. There is free Wi-Fi in the rooms that have had a bathroom upgrade. The jacuzzi which also has been upgraded is very nice and there is a nice fire pit area that has been added. The free hot breakfast is a definite attraction.

Traveling to ID, stopping along the way we looked this hotel up on yelp and it got good reviews. I like breakfast at a hotel, this one has a large assortment of hot breakfast food and healthy choices, as well as cereal. I had scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy and refried beans, all very yummy and hot. Staff very welcoming. Hotel and room clean and comfortable. I would recommend a stay. Comfortable fluffy bed.

Reserved a room with two beds. I got a call the day before stating that they have over booked and only had a room with a king bed but would provide a roll out bed at no cost. When I got there there was no roll out bed so I went to the front desk to see what had happened and they stated that they need to be informed by me as soon as I got there, and there was a $20 fee for it. (Which on the phone they stated it would be noted in the computer) I was shocked. They also stated that they had to check to see if there were any available for me anyways. They finally located one and brought it to my room, but brought no extra pillows. So again I had to go to the front desk and ask for the pillows and extra blankets. I was told they would bring the pillows up in a bit but not blankets. They brought me a sheet! I will definitely not be staying here again. No apologies or anything!

The costemer service was amazing and s were the rooms. Breakfast was amazing. I recomend that anyone interested goes to this beautiful hotel.

Good place to stay especially if you are going to ski in Heavenly. The hotel locates at very convenient location, staffs are very helpful, the breakfast is one of the best among hotels providing free breakfast. Room is good for family with kids as it comes as 2-queen bedroom. Overall it's a good hotel to stay at in the area.

Nice hotel for the price I paid. Breakfast was better than most. Good location to access skiing at Northstar.

My friends and I loved this hotel — it was such a comfortable stay. Breakfast was fantastic, and the pool area is clean, beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean. Staff was incredibly nice.

Best best western I've stayed in. Bed was super comfy. Rooms were good sized and well furnished. Breakfast was well stocked. Nice place overall.

Very nice property, excellent value. Beds are exceptionally comfortable, rooms clean and attractive. Nice pub across street, downtown is 4 min away, the lake about 15 mim.

This motel is extremely over priced at $334 per night on a non holiday weekend it was not worth even half of that. 1. We waited in line at front desk for 20 mins whole one overwhelmed desk agent tried to check everyone in 2. The beds were so uncomfortable we barely slept and we had a big race the next day! 3. The motel is old and musty and dark in the corridors, the layout is confusing and the ice machines were nit clearly marked 4. It was under staffed and ill equipped to handle a large number of guests all at once I wouldnt recommend you ever waste your hard earned money here. Bright note the breakfast was better and more plentiful than expected. Also a large hot tub.

Clean rooms. Comfy beds. Really good breakfast for the price. Gotta love bacon with biscuits and gravy! Waffles too.

Located just outside Truckee in a quiet setting. No where near any freeway noise. Minutes to Old Town Truckee or Northstar. 3 nice restaurants next door. Recently renovated well appointed rooms. Very clean, quiet rooms. Plush beds, down pillows and comforter. Wide screen TV. Full breakfast was good. Nice assortment of entrees. The courtyard was very spacious with plenty of lounge chairs. Didn't take advantage of the cold and hot pools. All in all, very pleasant and we would stay there again.

Conveniently located to the location needed for the business I needed to conduct. The hotel is clean and comfortable. A good morning breakfast and a time saver.

Great hotel. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Stayed here 16 nights and slept very well everyone of them. Breakfast is standard but good and a nice variety. Location is a little far from the downtown area, 4 miles or so and they don't have a shuttle.

My family and I generally stick to Marriott or Hilton however the best Western plus in Truckee is our new favorite. The absolutely silent room comfortable beds and amazing pillows and almost unbelievable continental breakfast absolutely exceeded our expectations. Add to that the biggest and most wonderful hot tub and most comfortable pool we have ever experienced along with the kind of friendly and upbeat staff absolutely exceeded any expectations!

Great place to take your dogs. A very spacious room for all of us. The room had recent attractive updates. Breakfast was very acceptable.

Well to give a 5 star rating I would have to spend more than a night here to thoroughly assess this locale. Since my family and I arrived at 12am on Saturday and will be leaving before 10am of the same day our stay here for a single nights lodging has been a hefty price tag. What did turn out to be excellent and excruciatingly delicious was there on-the house intercontinental breakfast. My family loved it and bluntly so did I. I wouldn't recommend taking our route of a single night stay since there is SO much to see and explore. For those planning a long getaway this is a great place to call a hub while you explore Truckee's beautiful surroundings. Add the fact that your only 13 miles north from Lake Tahoe making your visit to Truckee that much more exciting.

Front desk very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Both Mary and Lourdes were amazing! Will definitely come back again.

A nice place to stay. Rooms are clean. The room I stayed a little small for two queen beds. The free, fast Wi-Fi a plus. Parking spaces are around the building. Free all-you-can-eat breakfasts can keep you come back you Best Westerns.

A really nice stay in beautiful Truckee. The extra long hot tub is great in the cold winter. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay there again.

I was impressed with how clean and nice everything appeared. The pools were immaculate and the perfect temperature. A man was working on the pools and told us the temperature of each. We saw a maid and asked about towels by the pool and she gave us 2 towels just to be sure. Breakfast was one of the best for a complimentary breakfast. Waffles with a cute best Western logo. Beds were comfortable and nice decor. I would definitely go again.

Can rooms. Great service. Nice location next to a great brewery. The Asian food nearby is parsable. Solid breakfast and very comfy beds. Rooms had a fridge and microwave. Bonus.

This is a perfect place to stay. Great hot breakfast, wonderful rooms, beautiful weather and area. Restaurants close, walking distance along with many points of interest and food offerings. Yummy.

We had a two queen bed suite and we're able to get extra beds. Breakfast wasn't amazing, but the common area had a pool, lap pool and fire pit. Overall decent experience, no complaints.

The hotel was clean but they overbooked rooms with two double queen beds and gave me a room with a king bed instead. I didn't mind that but the second floor was closed off for renovation and they started hammering and doing other work right above my room at 8AM. This was not cool at all. The front desk just said sorry when I brought it up. The room I was in was remodeled but the shower door only opens up from the far side of the faucet handle so you get blasted with ice cold water when turning it on. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Fifty Fifty brewery and near the Truckee airport.

Very clean, super comfy bed, outdoor fire place, huuuuuuge hot tub, pool, fitness center. Great deal on priceline! fridge/freezer and micro in room. Next door to great restaurants and 5 mins from northstar. Awesome!

OK Hotel, I don't think the rates are worth it though, nothing different than any other Best Western around the country… I guess the location drives the rates though. Stayed here in July 2015. We were here for 5 nights. We forgot an article of clothing when we checked out. Called and asked if they could mail it to us (had to call over 4+ times to get someone who could handle this small request) no need to Fedex, just US Mail. It is now the end of August, still waiting for it after they said that it was in the mail… I guess after spending over $650 with them, spending a few bucks to snail mail it was too expensive for them… Customer Service! Would have appreciated the truth and just tell me they will not do that instead of lying to me…

I have never stayed in a more welcoming place in my life. The Employee's at the front desk was more then helpful, it didn't matter what time of the day or shift that they had changed to the greeting that myself and daughter received was more then welcoming.

Down here from Oregon Fighting fire. Protecting Tahoe National Forest from Truckee to Sierraville. Rooms are nice, Staff Is good, Hidden costs suck. My company will never use this motel again. Nice to know we get treated this way when we put our lives on the line.

I would agree with the reviews that sleep on the second floor. It is very noisy on the first floor. Other than that. The beds are fantastic. The in room coffe is even pretty good. It is very quaint and nice hotel.

The room is quite nice and the bed is amazingly soft and fluffy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Heck, even the complimentary breakfast was good. I kidd you not, a buffet style breakfast with crispy bacon! The next time I'm in Truckee this is where I want to stay.
