Very nice and great service.

I'm writing about my 3 night stay 2 weeks ago, which was largely unpleasant. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because of the amenities listed: jacuzzi, pool, sauna, steam room, and gym. When we arrived, there was a notice at the desk stating that one of the days we were there the pool was out of service, which was inconvenient, but we thought we'd at least get one day to enjoy it. It wound up being out of service for the 2 days we were there (we arrived at night on a Tuesday and left early Friday morning. ) The steam room was cool and not steamy, even after I turned it on, worked out for an hour, and came back to it. The sauna as well. I notified your front desk staff and she did refund me the amenities fee, a mere $62 of the nearly $500 I stayed to be a guest in your hotel. In addition, we were awoken every morning by 7 a. M. To the sound of construction trucks beeping near our window. As well as having no notice of the amenities not being in working order, we were not made aware that we would be staying next to a construction zone. While the listing does state there is no air conditioner, there was *1* window that opened in the whole suite, which made is stuffy no matter the time of day. We were not aware of that either, as the listing shows 2 windows, but it appears the other is just for show since it does not open. There were cigarette burns in my sheet (I took pictures) in what's supposed to be a non smoking room.

Apartment suite has 2 stories, 2 bathrooms & full kitchen. Clean & affordable.

Great suite. Basically a condo. We were completely surprised and delighted!

If you want to ski in and walk out your front door and hop on the left, there’s not a place in the valley that’s closer. Staff is awesome, parking is as close as you can park to the village.

Easy access to the ski trails. My family and I are always favoring this resort. Room is more spacious.

Fantastic experience. Friendly staff, very clean rooms that are equipped with kitchen living area and comfortable beds. There is something very comfortable about the rooms!

Place of the 1960 winter Olympic Games. The lodge was old and beautiful. Scenery spectacular and staff were superstars. Phenomenal!

Really nice tucked away hotel right underneath the mountains. Super close to the shops and restaurants at the village and affordable rates. I will definitely be staying here again!

Stayed in an Airbnb, which was nice but dated. It had a range and dishwasher decades old but well-maintained. Location is hard to beat for access to the Squaw Valley gondola. Some nice amenities available that we didn't really take advantage of. Underground parking with permit. Nice front desk woman.

Do not stay here. The rooms are arranged around the pool area. I have been here for two weeks so far and there have been screaming kids at the pool all day long every single day. No restrictions on noise and no requirement that the kids parents are present. Quiet time starts at 10pm, so that’s when kids come inside and run around. The walls are paper thin and the pool area is located in a place where the noise can be heard very clearly. Find somewhere else to stay.

Great location and lodge — we stay here most times we visit Tahoe — summer or winter. The rooms are reasonably sized and the staff is quite friendly. Parking can be an issue during busy seasons but there is enough street parking. During off season if you are willing to wait untill the day of your stay you can get great deals.

I've only stayed here once but my experience was awesome waking up so close to lifts is a really great way to start the day. A.

Nice quiet relaxing week in Squaw Valley. Ski area just closed, so completely empty. Well maintained resort, full kitchen, helpful staff. Will definitely return.

This is a nice location with wonderful views. The family was very happy with their stay. The rooms were excellent and the activities were what we expected for this lodge. Overall good experience.

Amazing location, ski lifts right outside. Loved the apartment we stayed in, plenty of space. Freezing pool with about five hottubs both inside and out.

It was beautiful. Historical venue and great views. Awesome hikes. Cool village for human interaction as well.

Stayed 6 days end jan 18. Condo was perfect, exactly as described, amazing location, well equipped, cleaned daily. 2 bed suite was spacious, layout well designed. Booking process began very well with Helpful Hayley who was a pleasure to deal with and continued to checkout. Very happy with our choice.

I was directed to check in here by the people at the lodge that could not find my reservation. The folks at the lodge check in desk we fast and polite and let me know I did not have a reservation here. They were nice.

We've been coming back for a few years now, we stay several weekends each season. The hotel is great, location cannot be beaten and the staff are great. Hayley was fantastic in helping us with our bookings this year.

We had a great stay. It's close to the lifts, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are well kept and clean. We look forward to staying here again!

Extremely friendly staff, easy check in experience and clean spacious rooms. I've stayed here twice and it is my go to location if I'm skiing at Squaw Alpine. It is basically a stone's throw away from the lifts and The Village. Great location for families as well.

Several issues came up during our stay. While the location was spectacular, since it was right in front of the ski resort, first they messed up our check-in process and gave us a key to the wrong room. Second, the house service never picked up our calls. Lastly, the shower at one point only had freezing cold water. Other than that the snow was wonderful!

The location of the lodge is great, but we had a check in issue: The key we got was for a room which already another guest checked in. Nobody took house keeping call. The size of shower boiler is not large enough. I don't recommend this place.

We are enjoying our stay here at Squaw valley lodge. The one bedroom apartment is perfect for our family of three. The convince of having a kitchen, when traveling with a toddler, makes a vacation even more relaxing. The location is the best selling point. Everything is right outside the premises. We will be coming here for spring, summer and fall vacations in Tahoe.

The staff at Squaw Valley Lodge is absolutely incredible. Honestly like nothing I've seen elsewhere. The units are maintained impeccably and the facilities are perfect for a mountain stay. The gym has everything you'd want and the pool/hot tubs are a great place to end the day (and have surrounding mountain tops in view too. This is due to the fact that Squaw Valley Lodge is located closer to (aka on) the mountain than any other accommodations. I 'definitely recommend staying here!

The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The lodge also has a nice set of hot tubs and other spa facilities.

1bedroom with kitchenette. Is quite spacious, can fit 4 adults easily. Has a pull out sofa bed. Bathroom is a good size. Has double sinks and a separate area for toilet. Also has a pool and hot tub. The building and decor has that old cabin feel.

A beautiful place to stay, very friendly staff, and very pet friendly. Only downside I have is that it seems maintenance needs to step it up a little. Our room was visited by room service only once during our visit and some liitle things in the room needed to be fixed. All in all a fantastic stay, and will be visiting again hopefully in the winter next time.

This place is beautiful. The rooms are amazing and cozy and very spacious. The entire area is the most beautiful location. What more can you ask for than to wake up at the base of the mountain and walk out your door and jump on the lift or walk around the village and enjoy the food and shops. We will stay here time and time again I am just sad our visit this trio was not longer.

Large comfortable fully equipped suites, great value if you need more than one bed!

Just steps to the village. Nice, modern and clean condo homes available. Large pool and hot tub even offering an indoor hot tub as well. The gym has about 12 cardio machines, Nautilus, free weights, balls and rollars. The main Lodge has a lobby and the staff is friendly providing great referrals to restaurants, recreation and coupons for these places, too.

I enjoyed our stay at the Squaw Valley Lodge. It's location is super convenient if you're skiing. The tram and lifts were within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The service was friendly and inviting. I loved how close we were to the Village.

This is my second stay. Great ski in ski out lodging at Squaw Valley. Deluxe studio has a queen bed, kitchenette, large bathroom, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and range but no oven. Staff is friendly. The fitness center is well-equipped. Overall, a bit pricey but eorth it for the convenience of being close to everything.

Just got back from a week at squaw valley lodge with my husband and 20 month old daughter. If there were nothing else good about this lodge, I'd give 5 stars for the shower! Amazing pressure, instant hot/cold water. Great indoor AND outdoor hot tub, very relaxing after a busy day in the slopes at 19°F. Yes, it can definitely use some updating and room service is only every 3 days, so we had to use same towels and take the trash out (with dirty diapers) ourselves… Also, website advertises cribs available but there is none, we managed to arrange the pull out couch with pillows and our little one seemed comfortable, not a problem. We could hear our neighbors quite often and snow plows at 5:30 am… Couldn't ask for better location though, literally ski in and ski out. Ski lifts right over our heads. Walking distance from the quaint little village with shops, restaurants, hot chocolate kiosks by fireplaces. And the mountain view… breathtaking! Absolutely gorgeous!

Slightly pricey for the quality but you are paying for the convenience. It's very well located — close to the village shops, next to the slopes. The rooms are spacious though dated in terms of furnishing. Have now stayed here a couple of times and it's been comfortable each time. Kitchen is well equipped and staff is friendly and courteous.

This place is beautiful, comfortable, well furnished, the spa is a heaven. Good for summer and winter also.

Rooms are nice and spacious. Lodge is a bit older but very close to hiking trails as well as the aero tram so a great summer location.

A fantastic ski-in/ski-out Lodge at the base of Squaw Valley Mountain. Staff is friendly. The one bedroom Studio Deluxe is quite adequate and well stocked. That is comfortable. Skiing is awesome even know it's the end of the season. Everybody has a positive attitude.

Very good location, you can take free shuttle to the village and main area or just walk, very easily (10 min) Rooms are ok. There is no Wi-Fi though, if you are not only for having fun. Nice place for 1-2 nights.

Good room, there were no problems at all. It took a while for our room to get ready but that's not very surprising considering the massive amount of people that were at Squaw when we were coming in. Overall a good experience. Accommodating and nice hotel. Room very well kept.

The Squaw Valley lodge is in a great location for ski-in/out at Squaw Valley Resort. Our no-frills studio-style room was clean, had a kitchenette and was spacious enough to support three guys. The lodge had a nice large outdoor hot tub (although there were two, only one was functional) and a non-heated pool. Overall, even though there are no-frills for this particular hotel, it's location and value would bring me back.

Some rooms have ski-in ski-out and good views. Generally good location and a variety of nice rooms. Also love the outdoor pool (in the summer) and hot tubs, among other amenities.

We stayed at a 1 bedroom for 3 nights during Thanksgiving holiday. Our room was overlooking the slopes, closest to all the lifts. The staff was friendly, they let us check in early and start skiing without worrying about our luggage. The village itself is great, they have everything you need. Highly recommend everything about it, will come again this season.

Great time with my family. Clean and people are helpful. I like it is convenient to ski right out your lodge and get in the chair lift.

Stayed here in 2012, hotel was mainly picked for its location, near friends on the Upper and located in Midtown it was great. Right near Grand Central and a few minutes from Times Square. Hotel staff, especially the bar staff are extremely polite and helpful.

It's no doubt a good value, but given the option, I'd shell out for a place a little more kept up next time. The suite I stayed in had a decent size, and good amenities including a functional kitchenette, a microwave, a minifridge. But everything showed its age and felt in need of some TLC. The bed and the pillows were strangely uncomfortable (there was one pillow in particular that my travel companion and I really tried to figure out, engineer to engineer, why it was so uncomfortable — — which is the kind of discussion I don't remember ever needing to have about a hotel pillow! ). And either we had really loud neighbors upstairs, or the walls were on the thin side, but either way, the stay ended up not being as restful. Giving credit where credit is due, I will mention that the service at the hotel was great. And the location is super convenient. So if you don't mind the things that I've mentioned above that tend to bug me about a hotel, there's no reason to write off this place altogether.

Great both the location and for the size of the rooms. All in-room amenities are solid, but there's not a lot outside of that. The parking garage isn't well-designed and kind of a pain (had to circle around twice to find an open parking spot). Still, might be the best value in Squaw.

Squaw valley in my opinion is the best ski resort in northern california. It has mild groomers to hairy rip roaring runs for the adrenaline junkie in you. The lounger offers fine dining and after ski drinks that will suit anyones pallet.

Great location. Right next to the funitel and lifts and if Sunnyside is open you can ski to the lodge entrance. The hot tubs are great after a day on the slopes and the staff are friendly, helpful and are always happy to help. Facilities in the loft apartment we stayed in were all we needed.
