Amazing views and a peaceful comfortable place in nature!

Beautiful grounds surrounded by Mountain View’s. Close to hiking and nearby alpine lakes. A great get away only three hours from the busy San Francisco Bay area.

Great place to come to relax.

This is the best resort to stay at in Squaw Valley! We come up with our kids and have a resort condo, 5 hot tubs and they even heat the outdoor pool! There is a kids game room, club house where we hang out when we have other friends up. We have a separate bedroom and sofa pulls out but is super comfy! We cook some pancakes for breakfast, and come down from skiing and either walk to the village or bbq some steaks! We have everything we need! We just joined for $900 a year for a full week stay and get Bonus Time rentals nights for $100 per night. You just can’t find anything remotely close to this gem!

Great place for families. Feel safe to allow kids to run around and have fun. Love the location. Beautiful. Been going here for 13 years for summer vacation.

This is hopefully a better hotel during the winter season because there was a lot of bugs on all the outside hallways. There is no AC in the rooms and they are pretty small. The rooms were clean but had not been updated since around 1960. It’s a pretty location but I don’t think it’s worth staying in a tiny, old, and hot room.

Great place to get away to. Tucked back in the corner of Squaw Valley, it is a quiet location (if one is looking for some peace and quiet).

Great location, awesome grounds — multiple hot tubs, pool and bike rental a great. Only thing this place needs is an update, it's straight from the early 90s rooms feel dated. The shower was amazing though.

Turned out to be a great place to stay. Location was beautiful with plenty to do in Squaw Valley and close enough to Lake Tahoe. The resort feels old, but the amenities make up the difference.

We enjoyed this resort. Even though it is fairly small, maybe 75 rooms total, it has all of the amenities that we needed. It has a sauna, three hot tubs, a swimming pool, water aerobics, yoga, shuffleboard and more. The room layout is adequate but would be better if there were pocket doors instead of Swinging Doors. The building itself is probably from around 1959, built in anticipation of the 1960 Winter Olympics here. There are 2 TVs with extremely sharp pictures and two DVD players. TV choices are adequate but no premium channels. On Monday morning there is an orientation presentation which is low key and definitely not a timeshare pitch. The water feature, which is a pool in the central courtyard that leads to several streams, it's very attractive and restful. There is free usage of a wide variety of bicycles. There is also a nice hike up to Shirley Falls. The mountain air and the friendly staff were very refreshing.

Tucked in the corner behind the Olympic Village Lodge, is a little cozy resort style INN. Our suite was clean, it was off season when we went so it was very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery. No laundry or restaurant on campus. Close to Squaw Valley Skiing and Truckee Riverside trail.

A bit dated but spacious compared to a standard hotel room, and has a kitchenette. Some difficulty using the shower — need to pull hard on the handle — which is also pretty cramped. The front desk has been very nice. And great location less than 10 minutes walking to the village.

Great location with free shuttle to Squaw Valley ski area and Okympic Village. Comfortable timeshare units, nice club house with full kitchen, bbq, game room, pool with lap swimming times, several spas.

Rooms are small but very clean, and the staff has been very helpful. Took the ski tour they offer for Squaw and had a great time with friendly staff.

Attended the Alpenglow Film Series presentation. An awesome event put on to support local non-profit organizations. An excellent event at a beautiful venue.

After working for the place for 2 years you find out that the place is pretty much paid and built for by illegal immigrants. All these rich ass up here have all this money because they've Used illegal workers bringing them into this country if you believe in America you would boycott this place FOREVER. LIES AND SKIRTING THE LAW feeding alcohol to minors and nobody did anything about it many managers reported it nothing ever happened these rich bastards skirt the law never give him your patronage.

Been coming here for years with my wife and her family and it is always a great time. Being a quick walk from the village is always a plus.

I loved the location and the scenery. We went during the winter and it was gorgeous. Our room was had a comfortable and relaxing vibe, there was Wi-Fi, what else can we ask for. The only unfortunate part was that the hallways were outside so it was freezing to go back to our room from the jacuzzis. Besides that there really were no problems.

Great improvements on the in-house amenities. We've been staying here since 1985 and it keeps getting better.

We stayed here over the new year 2018 — The room was very nice. I believe it has been remodeled very recently. The layout is excellent if you have a small child. The main front room with the primary bed is on one side, then a door to the restroom, which you pass through, then a second door, into the second main room which has a nice kitchen and a big couch that pulls out into a 2nd queen size bed. This room had then be separated from the main room by two doors, allowing different sleep schedules. Each room has a small outdoor locking ski closet which is very convenient. The facility is very close to Squaw village, perhaps a 10 minute walk or less, but they also have a shuttle that will take you over and pick you up. I found that every morning the shuttle was ready to bring me over to the village without my calling or waiting, and every afternoon it was waiting at the village to take me directly back. It was VERY convenient.

Nice, peaceful spot. Great view of the mountain. Easy walk to Squaw Village. Great hiking. Love the pool and Hot tubs.

Older place and was the original dorms for the US when the winter Olympics was held here in the 60's. No real complaints. As my dad said "this would have been really posh in the 70's but now it's just a bit lacking. " I agree.

Very cozy, homelike stay. 5 hot tubs, heated pool, clubhouse with stove and extra fridge n freezer space. Not lots of people so it was quiet aside from some construction going on inside. Would recommend to friends and family.

Older but great amenities. A little far from any real restaurants but great views of the valley!

This place was located in a nice spot but there were some major disappointments. The rooms are very outdated. The hot tub access wasn't ideal to the common area and it wasn't kept at 104 like it should have been.

Have stayed here dozens of times. I have a great time every time I'm here. The staff is friendly, the grounds are well kept, and the rooms are clean. They have a small kitchen in each room, so it feels like you're staying in a small 1 bedroom condo.

The hotel is a little older and the decor is outdated. However, they have started to remodel. The rooms are nice and cozy, featuring a kitchenette and all needed dishware. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The staff is very nice and inviting. I would stay here again.

Rooms have not changed in 20 years, good for 2-4 ppl, walking distance to Squaw Valley Ski Resort.

This is the village the Olympians used in the 60s. So every room is basically a mini aprtment. You get a bedrrom and living seperated by a full bathroom. The living room has a micro kitchen with a two burner stove. They offer free bike rentals in the summer and snow shoes in the winter. My family has brown coming here for a few years now. And plan on making it a tradition.

I booked this hotel stay at this hotel hotel 3 months in advance. Suprising the day I arrived at the resort I was told my room was not available and they wanted to switch me to another hotel off site. I booked this hotel along with an RCI timeshare confirmation for entire week and explain that I needed to be with my family for my cousin's wedding. My whole family is staying at the same Resort and I find it unacceptable that they are telling me to go somewhere else when I confirmed my hotel stay in cash. To stay with my family s why we stayed there and payed thousands of dollars.

Great location Squaw is heaven in the summer. Lots going on in the village, fireworks, concerts, art and wine festival. The resort is well maintained, great pool area​, grills, fire pit, always a great week.

Cozy, but right in the heart of the action in Olympic Valley. Friendly staff, great hikes, lovely hot tubs and pool. Stones throw from many diverse eateries, not to mention world class skiing!

The initial experience was less than exciting. Checking in on Sunday afternoon took a very long time. Only 4 people ahead of us upon arrival, but took at least 45min. Room size reminds us of a large cabin on a cruise ship, but overall very accommodating. The sofa sleeper has a memory foam type instead of the old spring mattress with the bar going through it. It's a nice surprise for our daughter. Beautiful mountain views and very close to the ski lift are great. Also, shuttle to Squaw Valley is continuous. 2 small hot tubs have good jets. The large one near the pool only has 2 good jets. The rest are all uneven and at bench level with no pressure.

My family and I love Olympic village inn. It always brings nice thoughts about the olympians that housed here while competing at Squaw Valley ski park. The staff are all super friendly and the shuttle and it's drivers are great. We are owners and stay 3-4 times yearly in the ski season months.

The rooms and amenities are all very well kept and has everything you would expect. Including a large, and two small hot tubs; a sauna, a workout room, an arcade room and probably more I haven't explored. The rooms are two rooms, a bedroom, and a kitchen/living room with a comfortable pull out couch. There is also a shed outside each room that locks, good for sleds or some skis but don't expect it to hold everything. All in all, it's not especially fancy, but it's got everything I would expect and more.

There people here at the resort have been great! Very friendly always willing to help out. Lots of activities to do through the week hosted by the resort. Rooms were also nice, had a good mountain feel while still being a great room to stay a week in! Would for sure come again and would also highly recommend Olympic village inn.

We stayed in summer and enjoyed the surprisingly long gondola ride and all up there even in summer. The little village tried and the beer and friendliness were very good. We found a great Mexican Restaurant by the lake and drove the entire shore road and up and over to Reno. Lots to do there and really pretty with mountain pines.

Recently renovated 2nd floor rooms good place to call home for a week.

It was a decent place. It was clean. We went on 4th of July weekend, so it was cramped full of people, but the days following, they went home and the place became pretty quiet.

Location, location, location. It may not be as close to cross-country ski area as Red Wolf Lodge is, or has as nice rooms as the latter. But 500m to cable car is a great feature — closer than from Red Wolf if you walk. They even operates a free shuttle every 5 to 15 minutes! Rooms can be awkward at first. (Converted from hotel rooms) My unit in my first visit had bed room at door, with half kitchen, half living room inside. But can't complain about the views. On my later visits, the door opens to the half kitchen, half living room. The half kitchen, though tiny, is highly functional for casual meals. Bathroom is also tiny but highly functional. Room equipment is very well maintained except the noisy air conditioner on my first visit. (They couldn't really fix it at the time. ) I have not had this problem in later visits. The building shows some age but generally well upkept. The only other problem I found was ants during my last visit. Maintenance came with some sprays but that did not solve the problem. If you ski, the Inn Store just steps away from the cable car offers extremely competitive rental — ask for discount card or order online. You can check your ski at the office. Staff is very courteous and helpful. They also organize various activities for skiers and non-skiers. O can you see that I'm posting via free Wi-Fi? (That was several years ago. Now they charge a daily fee to cover the shuttle, ski check, Wi-Fi and stuff. )

Love the location, great for skiing and they provide activities during the day for guests and shuttles to squaw valley resort every 15 minutes.

Good value for the money, conveniently located with shuttle to the village. Living room is a little small but well equiped. Front desk and housekeeping are very helpful. Very nice club house and community kitchen, will keep it in mind for next time. Free Wi-Fi, multiple hot tubs on site, DirecTV etc. Haven't done any resort activities, but there is a calendar.

Old but great place to stay if skiing at Squaw.

Not the fanciest, nicest or biggest resort in Squaw Valley, but there's no place I'd rather stay. I think my 4 year old daughter put it best when she said "it just feels like home. "

I am original owner since 1982. The management is excellent and emphasizes customer service and exemplary people skills. The resort home owner association board members are elected by the owners. The board has demonstrated superior fiduciary responsibility to the owners and has implemented rational and responsible upgrades, repairs and maintenance to this resort while keeping home owner fees at a competitive advantage to similar resorts. The maintenance of this resort has been so good that replacements and remodeling have not been a necessity. However the homeowners and board recognize that rooms need updating and the rooms are being sequentially remodeled. The long standing commitment by management and staff and associated low turnover rate is an asset to the home owners and guests. This resort is truly a home away from home.

Stayed here for my wedding (total of 4 nights) and it couldn't have been better! The rooms provide you with a living room with kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It was perfect for having my parents over because we could hang out in the living room area which was smartly connected to the balcony. The kitchen has full cooking and silverware supplies plus a small fridge which was very convenient. It was the perfect spot for before and after the wedding. The staff was also very nice and accommodating which went very well with the beautiful scenery. We will definitely stay here anytime we're in Tahoe and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it.

Poor — I have owned here for 20 years but I am very unhappy. This is a good ole boy run establishment with high fees, no email and no responsiveness. The board is handpicked by the management, always all men, very poor communication with a total lack of email for reservations, payment of dues and outdated procedures. The rooms are shoddy and maintenance is poor. This place needs a change of management.

Olympic village inn "IS" my second home. I Stay here for a week multiple times a year and I couldn't ask for more. Heated pool, 6 hot tubs, rec room, gym, grills, hammocks, EXCELLENT staff, especially Lee at the recreation area, he can answer all of your questions! Words cannot express how beautiful and homey this resort makes me feel.
