I am closing out my second night here and the stay has been great. The rooms are awesome and I am so glad I chose this space. Come early for parking though.

THE ONE STAR IS FOR THE QUALITY OF THE ROOM WE HAD… if I could rate the customer service here, I would give an absolute 0 to the manager and his ability to handle situations. Let me start off by stating that me, my son, and my boyfriend came from Los Angeles to come and visit family who has rarely gotten to see my son. Apparently, there is a “No Guest” rule there and my mother was hassled out of the building after a few hours. That being said, we were not aware of this “no guest” rule at first, but we asked the front office if my mom could park in the empty spaces for a few hours while visiting her grandson. A lady said “yes, she can for a few hours. ” We checked into the office every hour or so to make sure everything was okay. We let them know she was NOT staying the night, just visiting her grandson, he is only 2. They asked us to move my moms car from the driveway, so we moved it onto the street no problem. But once I came back into the office to tell them we moved it, the Manager said we needed to leave and that my mother was not allowed to walk back inside to gather her belongings or else there would be a “$15 guest fee” even though she was not staying and just wanted her things. Things turned into a big hassle, so my mother left. The manager comes knocking on our door telling us to check out tomorrow (even though we had rented the room for two nights.

They have a nice quiet location that's near almost everything both day time and night life and the rooms themselves are beautifully designed with a more larger size layout as well as a up to date like style that has a 'top shelf' real feel inside there rooms. P. S the bathroom with the what I like to call transform ur slf area was fab with such great lighting so thumbs up lol just consider me to be a returning customer.

My nieces stayed here overnight and the front desk told them that check out is 12noon and when morning comes someone came knocking at their door At 11:30am and telling them that check out is at 11am and that they have to pay a fee for checking out late, when I heard this from my nieces, I feel angry. They took advantage of my nieces because they’re young, ages 16 to 21, they will never stay in this hotel again. Shame on you.

Convenient location. Very clean. Staff is extremely courteous and nice.

I booked a room 6 weeks ago for my birthday and a concert the guy was going to send me an email I never saw it so I called about 2 weeks ago and he had my info said everything was fine I get a call 1 day ago saying 2 rooms have water damage and they can't be fixed before my stay date so now I have to pay triple to find a room that is farther away and there are rooms on line at this hotel now for twice the rate other reviews say there known for doing this so I would not book if it's something important.

Do nooooooooot book here. The rooms are nice but the price isn't really worth it, unless you wanna spend a lot of money. I spent nearly $300 for 2 nights and they threw a curve ball at me with a $250 deposit, that I wasn't told about. I didn't even get to stay in my room because of that and I'm still waiting for the money to get back into my card. Way too overpriced, imo.

During last six months, I stayed here for work weekly. The rooms are newly renovated, modern, and very clean. The staff is very attending and helpful. I never had issues with parking or checking in, even when arriving late. The hotel is right in the downtown with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Couple of grocery stores are on the same street too. When I’m back to San Jose for work or leisure, this is my place of choice to stay.

I had a great stay here for work. My check in was smooth and my room was lovely! I had no issues with parking and the staff made sure to check in and make sure I was okay when they saw me out and about. There is a cafe and restaurants on the same street so finding food isn't and isssue. I will be back!

I'm writing this review because this hotel or, Inn and Suites what they like to call it but I would call it more along the lines of boarding and permanent living because I would say about 30% of the inn and suites are being held by what looks like actual tenants. We got a suite and with two king size beds four four of us and when we arrived we had to pay 40 extra dollars for two people. Then the cashier or the clerk said our card was declined only for what things to be the owner to say that our card was declined but they put a pre charge for their deposit on the room and because they were charging my girlfriend two different charges that were more than $150 her credit card was becoming declined. So no big deal we got our room key and started walking up to our room and the owner stopped us asked us if our other guests were staying and how long they were staying and proceeded to say it there was a curfew for the hotel. Which is ludicrous but at the same time the door opened and his dog ran out so my assumption is that he lives here and he just doesn't want any loud noise hence why I say it's more of a boarding house. So the owner didn't want loud noise then when I got into the room the room was nice but hot and II Suite door was locked. Had to go back down and get him to open it. Just very frustrating and not professional at all.

The outside of the hotel doesn't look like much (looks like an old apartment complex) but the rooms are being renovated right now. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms and it was very nice. Brand new beds, flooring, paint, showers. We were pleasantly surprised with our stay.

I was happily surprised by the nice service and how new and clean that room was. The bed was so comfortable. I recommend. Do not worry about the exterior.

What an absolute dump. No refund when my family arrived we saw bedsheets for curtains. Trash and dirty paint on all the doors. The lobby was locked at 7 p. M. Good reason shady people all around. The owners definitely slumlords. Google it look at this mess It's not a hotel it's a flophouse. I give it less than one star. Rude, snappy reception and first words out of his mouth No Refunds! If you stay there bring a gun for protection.

Edited: wanted to post an update that the folks at CCI&S contacted us and gave us a full refund. Don't know if it was because of the earlier review or just common decency, but we thought it was nice. Just wanted to take a minute to warn people not to book with this hotel if there is ny possibility that you may have to cancel for circumstances beyond your control. We had a reservation to stay after a concert that was cancelled less than 24 hours before opening. I realize these things happen, and it's not the hotel's fault. It's not mine either. While I understand the hotel's standard cancellation policy, this was not a standard circumstance. Now I have to pay for a night in a hotel that I won't be using. I have no reason to be in San Jose now. And you can bet that when the concert gets rescheduled, I will not be staying here. Badly done. Poor customer service.

Location is a little hard to find. Parking is crampt but no helping that. Room was spacious and comfortable. Room was very clean and well tended. Staff were nice and friendly. My only major complaint is about the bathroom soaps and washes. They are "aromatic" types, which are very strong and almost a bit gross. The body wash smells like eucalyptus and the shamboo is a combination of sweet and almost minty smells. Otherwise it was a nice place to stay the night.

Stayed in a new remodeled room on 3rd floor; spacious and clean and overall very nice. Power — & USB outlets at bedside. Some minor traffic noise from the street in the morning (Wed), but not more than expected from the location. Very friendly folks (seems to be family owned). I would certainly stay here again. (March 15, 2017: When I left I asked to see one of the few old rooms still to be remodeled (8 to go of which several were undergoing work) and owner was happy to show me. Woohoo! — I totally understand previous comments. I wouldn't spent 5 mins in one of those (and I hope they don't rent those out and definitely not without telling people). )

While the exterior reminds you of an average 1960's model, the remodeled room was modern, clean, and comfortable. Definitely, do not judge the book by its cover.

The outside doesn't look special but the room was actually very nice with an affordable price.

People siad it was a hidden gem, and I wasn't disappointed. Arrived early knowing that my room wouldn't be ready and was told that I could go ahead and park in the free secured lot and come back later to get my room key. Yes, from the outside it doesn't look like much, but the inside is beautiful and very comfortable. All modern decor, fixtures, amenities and soft comfortable bed. Neighbors can be heard walking by though.

Renovated room, however, a little noisy due to wrong and aircraft noise.

Outside looks like a place you don't want to be, but the inside is pleasantly surprising. Cons: brand new looking carpet made my feet black from walking barefoot in the room, you can tell which rooms are for weekly renters (dirty curtains, shady looking people), we had to walk past weekly renters outside smoking constantly, parking lot is tight. Pros: newly remodeled rooms are beautiful, king size bed was amazingly comfortable, great location is within walking distance of many dining spots, the manager/owner is super nice and helpful. Wish I could give it 3.5 stars, it's just not quite 4 though.
