Great meeting place … business, close to BART … great location.

Love everything about the hotel and stay there a lot. Gym access, staff, rooms are all great, but one thing needs fixed. The breakfast buffet scrambled eggs aren’t recognizable. Please fix this.

Good amenities. Recommend for Family & Business people.

This is a nice and cozy place tucked away in a manner that feels peaceful. I didn’t expect to see all the many different sport activities you could do during your stay.

Robert outside cabana was excellent server. Keith in valet was excellent he also was a driver drove us to excellent restaurant he suggested. Friendly staff. Spa was excellent crystal gave wonderful massage and spa treatments.

A very high class hotel, from what I'm used to starting on. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and showers. It's great to have a trail head right across the street, since I'm a runner.

This gym is awesome as it has a great location. Besides, those who work at this Walnut Creek Renaissance Club Sport can enjoy a contemporary & classy restaurant and bar along with other anenities such as: high skilled gym instructors in a variety of classes, spa, weight room, swimming pool, shop and massage facilities. As if it were not enough such indulgence, correct your back with Dr. Scott, physiotherapist who attends in the same venue. Check the bar out for some Tuesday Tacos nights!

The best hotel and club in the Bay Area. Pool, gym, great hotel, bar and restaurant. I live and work in the east bay and this is an amazing Oasis. Family, corporate work outing, you name it this place can handle it. Staff is amazing. Seriously, best service around. Check it out!

I come here almost every week for work (M-Th) and the staff knows my face and name. The biggest selling point for staying here compared to any other hotel is the awesome gym! All hotel customers can use the gym and classes without a membership. I’ve only gone to the spin class and it was tough and challenging but that’s what I look for in a good workout. The hotel rooms themselves are pretty standard but a little larger than the average hotel. The bathrooms are spacious enough that the door is not constantly in the way unless it’s closed. The hotel restaurant has a very good variety for breakfast and dinner with healthy, low calorie dinner options.

Equipment is not the best. Spa is spacious but lockeroom is crowded. More of a social scene.

Great gym with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Plenty of outlets in the lobby if you need to get some work done. Friendly staff and a really good veggie wrap as well. Haven't tried any hotel services but I would imagine it would have the same high quality.

Some good stuff, some not so great. Unfortunately, my room had some trash from the previous guests behind the nightstand when I got it. The fridge buzzes pretty loudly and the bed is really inflexed in the middle. It is unclear what is included in the price of the room and what isn't. I would have liked electrical sockets near the bed. However the free Wi-Fi is good, the TV selection is good, the soap smells really great. Rooms are spacious (though not much of a view). Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great hotel for exercise fans. Nice gym in hotel. Short walk to train station into San Francisco.

If you are an active couple, looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay, this is the place for YOU. Squash, volleyball, basketball courts available for use. A massive gym, and fitness classes running all day was such an unbelievable perk. That along with the location of the hotel is enough for me to recommend to all. We went to California for and NBA game stayed here and were so thrilled. The transit was so close, rooms were clean and trendy. Love love loved it here.

This is, by far, my absolute favorite hotel. As a consultant and frequent traveler, I have spent many thousand nights in hotels, including Four Seasons, St. Regis, etc and, in my opinion, none compare. Rooms are lovely, staff is wonderful (they can't do enough for guests) and the gym on site is incredible. While the restaurant is not 5 stars, it is fine and there are numerous restaurants in downtown Walnut Creek. I am always sad to have to leave!

I am a member at the gym here. Amenities are great. Group fitness and personal training here is the best! I have not stayed in the rooms before, but hear they are very nice.

Can't but love this place. From Valet, to front desk, the kitchen staff and the gym attendants, everyone is genuinely friendly and wants to make sure you have a great stay. Always clean rooms and exceptionally prestine bathrooms. Great job.

Very nice place, beautiful rooms. One bad thing though, my brother showed up at 230am, told them he got locked out. Gave the desk my husband's name, they gave him a door key card! No ID was asked for and he came into our room while we were sleeping! When checking out I was going to say something, but it could've gotten ugly.

Location is not very close to downtown WC, but the service is great and the rooms are nice. Didn't visit the club, but heard good things.

The rooms were really nice and the beds were comfy. The lock on our bathroom door did not work. The service and staff were very great and nice. I enjoyed the restaurant downstairs although the menu seemed limited to me. I really like the food trucks nearby and the Tonli Ramen restaurant across the street.

Patronized the spa several times and always had a pleasant experience. Favorite spa in the east bay (I like it better than Claremont in Berkeley). Thinking about becoming a club member. The hotel employees know what excellent customer service is.

Nice rooms. With good beds. Nothing over the top fancy, but the essentials work well and are very nice. Free access to the sports club with a hotel stay is great. Love having a true lap pool full service gym and multiple courts for various sports. Also has a nice lobby/bar area for relaxing somewhere other than the room.

Hotel is extremely inconsistent in what they offer when you're interested in booking a room block and after you book, they pull pack on what they promised you and claim it's never part of their policy. I've booked a lot of hotel blocks and private spaces for events and have never dealt with this level of incompetence and inconsistency. They change their offering and provide no good reason why, even after you've already given them a ton of business. If you're looking for a room block or event space in WC stay clear of this place! Matt their sales manager is not great to work with and provides the stupidest reasoning. After we showed interest in booking a room block they said we could have conference room to have an after party in and then took that away for no reason at all besides saying it's not their policy to do that. They change their offering after they get the business, total scam! Do not give them any business! You'll absolutely regret it. And I even have high status at SPG and Marriott. Avoid this place!

I accidentally made a non-refundable reservation for a date that was 6 weeks out. It was not clearly stated that it was non-refundable and I realized that it was a mistake as soon as the charge came up on my phone with American Express. I immediately called the next morning to cancel and explain my situation, but "Get a Room" — which was the name and number listed on the credit card — would not accept the fact that it was a mistake and issue a refund. Not only did I try to cancel the very next morning after making the reservation, but it was very obvious that it was a mistake on my part. I opened up a dispute with American Express and will continue with whatever means necessary to get my refund. It's obvious from the transaction date, the date of cancellation, and the date of the stay, that is was a MISTAKE. To not work with a guest who made an honest mistake is deplorable, unacceptable, and not good business practice. I'm an event planner for a large corporation and I've already checked your occupancy rate for the date of my reservation. You're sold out… which means you kept my money AND sold the room to someone else. If you value your customer service and reputation with the public, I would sincerely appreciate your company doing the right thing and working with a guest who simply made a mistake. I didn't make the reservation, wait until the dates of stay, and then ask for a refund. It was done immediately which indicates it was CLEARLY A MISTAKE!

Very impressed with the facilities. Felt as if I were walking into a resort coming in. Rooms have a ton of natural light and great bathrooms.

Being an active person, I was impressed with the gym and athletic facilities. Didn't have to pause my workouts while traveling. Played basketball in the morning and lifted weights. Glad you see a pool and different classes for future visits.

The rooms were great. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was almost spotless. There was one hair on the floor in a corner. I enjoyed my stay there. My only complaints are: the elevators are too slow, the bar doesn't stay open late enough, and you only have valet parking. That said, most of the time the valet was quick but there was one afternoon were I waited a long time. So though the valet says it will only take 5 mins I would plan for it to take 15 when all is said and done. But on the plus side there were always willing to help and give u directions if needed. I stayed on the 6th floor and had a good view from my room. If part of a big group you may be able to get a discount on parking. It was normally $27 nut the group rate got it down to $15 per day.

Decent hotel, clean and comfortable. Stayed here for business but if I was paying for the trip I'd be disappointed in the small details for a "high end" hotel: no shaving mirror in the bathroom, super cheap toilet paper, door air seal makes a constant noise like a fan running, no spare plug sockets by the bed etc. On site restaurant is 'healthy' fare, although noting spectacular, but it is reasonably priced which helps. I haven't had a chance to make use of the health club attached to the hotel — this would be a major selling point in other situations — with a well equipped gym, Lap pool, etc.

Renaissance Club Sport is a very nice place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They even wrap the toilet paper in a gift wrap with a bow. The food is healthy and delicious and moderately expensive. Room service isn't available past 11pm unless they have left over wraps from that day. One of the nights I had to end up ordering Dominoes as suggested by the front desk. I would recommended anyone to stay here and I would love to visit again.

Clean, spacious and non-intrusive staff. The locker rooms are comfortable and we'll maintained. The equipment is in great shape and (the vast majority of the time) clean.

The staff are always courteous and helpful. Accommodation is simple and well appointed. Bed and pillows are definitely above the usual high Marriott standards.

Went for happy hour, their food and drinks were great. The service was also good, especially for how packed it was. And their parking was also great because they do valet parking for free. Great place to go after work.

Excellent spa. Great costumer service. Decent restaurant menu (needs more vegetarian/vegan options). Only thing missing from the spa is a cold plunge pool.

Lovely rooms, and grounds. Restaurant is kind of expensive, for a breakfast, but the food was good. Wifi I absolute garbage, and would be nice to see USB ports at the bed side.

Their gym is extremely nice and the restaurant is nice, but a little pricy. They need to buy more basketballs though, as when I went they were running very low. Overall great place.

We used their Walnut Creek location's daycare for our baby while we excercised in their weight room. Their locker rooms are clean and their workout area is equipped with a great variety of machines and free weights. Their staff was friendly and cleaning up after guests as they used the facilities. We also enjoyed a few games of basketball. There were many people at the courts, but definetely enough to accomodate at least 4 games. Daycare services were very secure and the staff were very good with our baby, making sure to change diapers and feed whenever necessary.

Rooms are great and the free gym access for hotle guests make this the place to stay in Walnut Creek. Bart is across the street making an evening in SF doable. Restaurant dinner menu is stale and old. I have been staying here for a few years and the menu has barely changed.
