Service was not was so bad at almost check in we drove done. 05 miles and spent every little more and got nice competent person. It's my money I will not just stay any where. I need to be treated with respect. Don't stay here!

Just wanted to finish, previous review was sent in error before I was finished. Regarding the rude behavior of the upstairs guests. At 8pm when I spoke to Steve, I told him it had been going on for a couple hours but as long as they toned it down by 10pm that would work for me. He obviously spoke with them as it quieted down around 9:45pm. I appreciated Steve for handling this matter for me. The room was sleek, clean and covered all the required bases. Cost was an acceptable exchange. A larger ice bucket would be a great addition. I recommend this efficient & hospitable establishment to all. I'll be back!

We had a good stay. Other than having to have our keys remade because they only made them valid for one day when we were staying 2 nights. The beds were poorly designed any movement on the bed pushes it away from the headboard. Causing you to lose your pillows. The bathroom lacked proper amenities like shampoo or conditioner. The shower had rust marks on it making it look unclean. Other than that the room was clean and nice. The lighting and the establishment is a little weird. There should be more lighting.

We had a great time. The ladies who checked us in were very friendly. Margaret and another person. Check in was easy. They were very helpful regarding where to eat.

Rooms were clean, decent but a little small. However for the price, can't complain. Clean and calm.

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean, and all the room equipment (AC, power, bathroom) and TV worked well; easy to use. Very limited amenities, and use of Wi-Fi required a small fee. Situated by a busy street intersection, so the sound of vehicles was apparent, but not too noisy. It is a good motel to "crash" for the night…

Really enjoy staying here. Stayed here a few times now. I have never had any issues. The Staff has always been accommodating and kind. Today I ment the General Manager and she was the ut most accommodating. Got in early and had us checked in without a hassle.

Clean. Would recommend… my small dig stays free. The best reason to stay, since rooms have been updated.

Like checking into prison. They required everyone's IDs, was expecting them to do a cavity search next — do they do this based on race? Then they proceeded to tell me if I need soap, etc, to come to the office. Didn't mention Wi-Fi was extra. Room felt so cold and uncomfortable, kept banging my shins on the bed frame that protruded. Bedding was threadbare and dirty. Floors were sticky. After they required all IDs on check in, they wanted only one specific person to do the check out? Keys stopped working before the check out time. Are you in the hospitality business?

It was good for what I needed. I was in Walnut Creek for a job interview and needed a one-night stay in a reasonably-priced hotel. Major ding because the sheets and towels were really thin and cheesy.

The location is great. Near the freeway, close to downtown shopping and restaurants. I liked the attention I received. I even got a phone call from the front desk asking how soon before I arrived. Thank you very much for the friendly customer service.

I have stayed here a couple times. I am very happy with this place. The front desk people are very nice. The housekeepers are super nice.

The staff can be helpful if you get the right person if however if you happen to get the opportunity to deal with a female staff member… well it's up in the air what you're going to be charged and what the rules are going to be that day. I think it's all dependant upon what kind of mood they happen to be in. I've been charged more than I should have been and not as much but I've also been charged less. I've been checking in or extending my stay and have been treated fairly and respectfully some of the time. Other times, not so much. Let's see. D! The rooms are in decent shape and Wi-Fi is not free.

Motel 6 is an affordable motel with lovely staffs ever ready to assist and make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is also strategically positioned with nice view of vehicular activities from the rooms. It is verry close to Walnut train station and easy to locate for the first time visitors.

It was a quick check-in. The room was in good working conditions. I had a very pleasant stay. Everyone at the front desk was very approachable. Thank you very much!

I stayed at the Walnut Creek, CA Motel 6 for 2 nights. I had a very good experience. Everything about the room made me feel comfortable. The decor was much improved over years past. The staff made me feel valued by checking on my comfort by calling me on the room telephone. I would gladly stay at this Motel 6 in the future.

Never again as a single woman. I originally had reserved for two nights for $198. Upon arriving, I saw 3 vagrants in the parking lot having a fight and I called the police (and they ran off). When I went into the office to check in, I had to wait behind a crew of construction workers who were checking into 3 rooms WITHOUT identification and I waited a LONG time. As I sat there and watched, I decided to change my reservation to one night only (I tried to find another hotel for the night but nothing was available in the area). I was charged $128 for one night! Even though my booking said the charge was going to be less. The clerk rolled her eyes when I asked if it was safe but did put me in a room close to the office. I didn't even unpack and slept with the lights on fully clothed. In the morning, I saw a homeless person exiting one of the rooms. Hoping to God I didn't get bedbugs.

The water pressure in the shower is a 5*star. The rooms have dust on everything that can be improved. The location is wonderful. But I have noticed a lot of cop activity. The staff in the office are very helpful and nice and willing to answer your questions. Maids are very nice but need to smile when they greet you.

Pleasant staff, clean room, quiet bath fan, ample water pressure in shower. Everything worked and worked well. Pleasant experience. I wish I could say the same at other locations I have frequented. You can tell maintenance is a priority. Good Job!

I have used motel 6 all over the country, coast to coast, for a lot of years. This is the first facility i've used that I was not satisfied with. The staff on the site were cordial, the room was clean with a few adjustments. Preparing to go my my conference in a facility down the street. In the morning I discovered there was no hot water, shower or sink. Very disappointed. I'm considering to use another of your competitors in 2 upcoming seminars in ventura, stockton and san luis obispo within the next 30 days.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They helped me out and ensured I had a safe place to park my motorcycle during the day while I was at a convention down the street, even after I checked out. Thank you all so much for making my stay great.

It is a great place to relax and be still. I work hard at my job so I need a place to meditate and look back on my life as well. It is a great place because it has the interest of the client at heart.

I had zero problems with staying here. We drove 400 miles to get to la and arrived at 8am even though Check in isn't until 3pm we tried our luck and they had our room available! Which was awesome because we were beyond tired and just wanted to sleep for a few hours! I've never been to a hotel that they let you check in that early. The beds we're so comfortable and the place was clean. I would definitely stay here again. As far as people being rude, we were checked in by someone named adrian and he was very polite.

The best thing about my one night stay was the front desk staff. Good location and easy to find. I secured a same day reservation by phone and even got an early check-in. However you could have a very nice motel if you invested in staff to clean the rooms better. The room, the bedding, the bathroom had a dirty smell. Especially the stinky bedding. The room was nicely renovated, so it is just the cleaning staff. Not good at all.

Place was clean, AC worked great which was essential as there was a heat wave. Margaret at the front desk was helpful and friendly. Place is off the freeway. Easily accessible.

Ok experience. Requested 1st floor room in reservation months ago because we would be traveling by bicycle. Upon arrival, we were only offered 2nd floor rooms. I guess nobody reads the requests? It was 107 degrees outside and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes past the check-in time for our room to be ready. Staff did provide a key to the pool for us to wait. The shower had obvious dirt in it and was not clean. The toilet was running intermittently. Better than many Motel 6's I've stayed at, but could be better.

My father and I planned a five-day stay at the Walnut Creek Motel 6 because we had business at Berkeley and we were going to do some exploring in our free time. We stay at this location because it is located on Main Street in Walnut Creek, minutes from downtown, the motel has been recently updated, the rooms are always clean and the staff is always very friendly! What is even better, is that at the end of the day, you know you can park right in front of your room, kick off your shoes, relax and watch the big screen TV in an air-conditioned room! This is especially important as my father is elderly and after a full day, it is very easy to get to the room and relax right away! On this trip, we did have a slight problem with the door one morning, but the staff switched us to another room without any issues at all!

A little small but what can you expect. It was very clean overall and the staff was very friendly. Good for just staying the night when on business.

It is clean and has a TV, that’s all the praise it gets. If all you want is a bed that doesn’t cost you your first-born like most other places in this area, this may be an option for you — if you can ignore the 8 lane highway a stone-throw from your nightstand that is. But for anything beyond this, avoid this place. The bad experience starts out with the registration, when you can’t get into the room unless you are the credit card holder, even if you you called ahead to tell them about staggered arrivals. It worsens when your find out that Wifi is extra, more (4.99/day) when you want the download rate to keep up with the speed with which you read your emails and this for every device that you want to connect. But the mood really bottoms out when you enter the small room. There is no fridge, no coffee maker, no dresser, no shelf to put any clothes, so you’ll live out of the suitcase the hopefully short time you’ll need to stay here. The towels are only slightly bigger than a washcloth, but that is all right, since the shower doesn’t generate enough water pressure to really get you wet anyway. So since all you can think of when you first see the room is to leave as quickly as you can, you probably don’t mind the missing curtains either, that force you to draw the completely opaque drapes to preserve any measure of privacy but keep the room in utter darkness, making you switch the lights on in broad daylight.

Pool in the back was nice. Rooms had awesome lighting. Comfortable decor. An amazing experience.

Very basic, no perks, but that's all we needed. Friendly staff, clean room, and quiet. Mostly construction workers who got up early, as we did too. Traveled with my husband and Labrador Retriever.

Bed bugs! Theft by maid. Owner looked the other way and did nothing to return property. Was told I, the motel guest, couldn't preside outside of my room at night and talk with other neighboring guests. Since when do motels restrict when common areas, like hallways, can be utilized by paying guests? The woman at the front desk was rude and had deranged mood changes during conversations. I did not feel safe here. Will never stay here again.

This motel is the best for your money in town, cleanliness, location, felt safe, good customer service, not to far from restaurants, gas stations, or the 680 freeway. If your expecting a fancy high end accommodations this is not your motel! I for one enjoyed my stay here & had no complaints or "expectations" about a MOTEL 6!

This is by far the best Motel 6 I've stayed in, and honestly, you get exactly what you pay for. They're reasonably clean and the staff is fine. The pool is fine, it's usually not crowded. The freeway noise is surprisingly unnoticeable. You don't get many amenities but that's ok, you're staying for really cheap for a motel. There was a lady complaining about the lack of laundry facilities, and harassing the staff and I felt so sorry for the poor young girl. I just wanted to tell the lady that we're all here because we can't afford something nicer. If you think you're too good for it here, go to the Marriott down the road. Oh, but the shower was slightly dirty, like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned since the last guest.

Room clean but very small and bed so hard we could not sleep.

This pet-friendly motel is in an excellent location in Walnut Creek — veery safe, near BART, shopping and entertainment, and handy to the freeway. The only problem that bothered me was the slow internet that seemed to be bad during anytime of the day or night. Still, it is nice, inexpensive, and the location is ideal, so we will continue to choose it as our Walnut Creek base, and hope they do something to speed up internet access.

Walking distance to BART and to downtown Walnut Creek — — and inexpensive. 30 min BART to downtown San Francisco. Walnut Creek has great shopping and dining — — and very little worry for personal safety — — it's OK to go out to dinner in the dark. The room didn't have any nasty carpet — — clean, fake wood floor. Funky seat and bistro table with an extra chair — — very usable. Comfy bed. Lots of lighting. Clean sink and dressing area. Really, all I needed. I spent most of my time in The City. The motel staff were very nice. I plan on staying at Motel 6 in Walnut Creek again.

Great service and clean, freshly renovated facilities. Quiet, even though adjacent to Highway 680. The only minus I can name is the fact that the parking is tight and there were several pieces of heavy equipment parked in spaces when I got back from a meeting.

They just renovated, and the new rooms are much nicer. No more "what decade was this comforter made? " feel, and the flatscreen tvs are a nice addition too.
