The room we got was neat and clean with no funky smell. That's a big thing for me. And there's a seaport literally right in the backyard! How cool is that? Its location is a big plus too. Being away from the noisy busy streets of Oakland, it is still within a comfortable distance.

Nice staff, coffee was empty in the am. I was a bit sad but it was clean and everyone was friendly. Great view!

Having stayed here before on a few occasions I found that the entire staff was well equipped to help satisfy all my needs. Having expressed a few small issues I had personally both manager Justin and assistant manager Stephanie did all they could to make my stay extra exquisite. Any and all concerns you have here they make sure to do their best to accommodate you. I believe the gentleman name, Jeremy was who took my complaints and passed them on. I would definitely stay again! For housekeeping ask for Biba, she is the best and so sweet.

Location location location… You pay for location when you stay here, I was hopeful that the rooms would be decent but they are not. The hotel is pretty dingy and kind of smelly. The Wi-Fi didn't work on any of my devices and they try to upsell you on a faster connection, its 2018 they should provide a free reliable Wi-Fi connection. I didn't want my bare feet on the carpet so I had to wear flip flops and I got some Clorox wipes to wipe down the room (door handles, light switches, bathroom, remote, etc. ) just so I could feel a little more comfortable in the room. One of the days I walked in the front desk person was chewing out another employee and you could hear it all the way down the hall. If you are staying here in the hopes that the room will be better than expected, chances are high that you will be let down.

I have never stayed at a hotel less prepared to host guests. Refrigerator broke (then the door got put on opening the wrong direction), the laundry room has no detergent and none for sale, they had no silverware (except plastic spoons), Wi-Fi is unreliable. "Continental breakfast" means one batch of coffee and granola bars. Thin walls.

Clean and easy to locate. Nothing fabulous occurred.

Hotel is a great location with a nice view and the staff were super nice and helpful especially the manager. He went out of his way to make sure I was accommodated. Very professional and though the hotel itself may not be 5 star, the staff and location definitely make up for it.

Price + (Compared to hotels in the area) Room — (Sparce furniture, dinged, chipped worn. Noisey fridge. No coffee maker, no utensils, plates, cups, etc. (Available for 'check out' at front desk). Dim lighting. Not enough light to shave in bathroom mirror. No tile. Only one waste basket (in kitchen). No waste basket in bathroom or bedroom. Internet — (free super, super slow. Upgraded $5 only super slow) View +/ — (Marina side +! North side, industrial) Breakfast — (Coffee and row of prewrapped muffins) Staff / — (Mediocre affect) Water pressure + Lobby filled with folks from Chinese retirement home watching TV during the day. No idea if they are staying here at night. Many people at night, seem to be work crews in shipping, rail, freight, construction. Lots of hard hats and safety vests. First night quiet (crews have to be up early? ) Next night, yelling Ebonics explitives and wall banging.

Great room. Awesome prices. Pool and Jacuzzi tub. Wow.

The web site says this has a fully equipped kitchen. It did not have any kitchen items; no coffee pot; no glasses, cups, plates, utensils, … There was no hair dryer; no wash cloths, no hand towels; no instructions for the TV; no notebook with local information such as restaurants, coffee shops, … The items lacking can be checked out at the front desk, but the coffee pot did not work. Got wash cloths and hand towels from the front desk, but half were stained. I'm not willing to wash my face with wash cloth stained by unknown people. We tried to trade the stained items with housekeeping, but they did not have clean wash cloths to trade with us. The room was okay and was a place to sleep. The best thing I can say is the place was close to where my meeting was, but next time I will pick another place.

Located right next to the water providing a beautiful view. The staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious.

Hotel room was very dingy, carpet was dirty and stained, bed was stained. Bedspread was dirty and not washed, smelled of body odor. I went and bought my own sheets and blankets. I would have checked out but my company couldn’t find anything for me right away. Cars are broken into often in the parking lot. Do not leave anything in them. No ice machine and no dishes in room. Have to check them out at the desk. Took two weeks for a toaster, had to buy my own. My room was to be cleaned every sat but since I worked on sat and have a dog in the room it never got cleaned. I bought stuff to clean my self. When finally moved to another place I left 2 bags of groceries there. When I called them to tell them they said they weren’t there and the maid never seen them. Worst stay ever.

Excellent view from the window. Staff is kind and cooperative. Rooms need maintenance. Like in my room, water tap was non-operational, one of the stove top wasn't working.

The hotel is a nice clean place relaxing and quiet. The rooms are clean fresh and arranged real nice. Service was with smiles and willing to help us right away.

Its okay. Getting there, you have to pass through a lot of homeless camps. Actual grounds are decent. Walls are thin.

The internet speed is awful. The free Wi-Fi was. 47 mbps. I paid for the $5 upgrade and the speed went up to 5 mbps. I then tried to connect my laptop only to find out the $5 upgrade fee is per device. Don't stay here if internet has an importance to you.

Staff was very accommodating for our wedding party while we were they. Very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great location with a great view if you're on the right side of the building.

My king bed room wasnt available at my arrival, they saps there was a "plumbing issue. " Ended up with a double just for myself. The room seemed like it wasn't prepared for an overnight guest. There were a couple hairs on the sink and lint or small things on the towels… like they hadn't used that room in a while. Also for an "extended stay", I would expect hair dryers in the future. And the complimentary "conditioning shampoo" made my hair stiff. But that's on me for forgetting my toiletries. Grab n go breakfast items start at 6am. I had to leave at 530 so early risers don't get to benefit from the breakfast muffins and coffee.

Your reservation means nothing here. Booked a double room for a month. Was told we only have single queen rooms available upon arrival. Then what exactly was the point of me making a reservation for something you don't have, then driving all the way over here and waiting in your chaotic lobby for close to an hour. Then they charged my card anyway and handed me room keys for the queen room. Totally incompetent front desk. A couple of kids in there running the hotels operations. Completely unacceptable.

Horrible the room smelled stale I went to the front desk to ask for dishes and was given minimal dishes and one small pot. Upon preparing to leave my husband who has cancer and uses medical marijuana to control. Nausea went outside to smoke and came back in took his pipe from his pocket and began to gather his things the assistant manager came to the door asked if he had smoked marajuna he answered yes outside I just came back in and she then told us that the room smelled of it. (Because his pipe was on the table) she then said that I would have to pay 250 dollars. A Fine for smoking marajuna I explained he was not in the hotel while smoki. G he was in his car she stated its a fine you will pay it.

Manager cares and makes it personal! Overall nice place.

It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in… it would be awesome if ice machines were on every floor but other than that, love my stay!

The bathroom door didn't fit the door frame. They provide housekeeping every eight days and make you go to the first floor to pick up any extra towels, blankets, etc. There are tons of ashtrays in the non smoking room.

Great location, breakfast could have been better.

The biggest turnoff for me was the every 8 days housekeeping schedule, which meant housekeeping never even looked at my room during my 4 night stay. Service was a bit slow. The location is pretty decent however, and its conveniently close to the city without having the hustle and bustle staying in the city can bring.

It was okay. The view sucked, out my window was a view of the cranes at the oakland port, nd a big silo thing, all rust n faded out looking. Ya know, the outskirts of inner city oakland. The staff was nice enough. A guest who tried to befriend me was a local and I thought he was a drug dealer. I got out of it what I went there for. A nights rest, undisturbed. I checked in, settled in, passed the drug dealer person a couple times as I went out for a Ciggarett. Slept n checked out. Nothing special. However, The other side of the building, the view was waterfront and looked a lot better…

The guy in reception is still watching TV rather than minding guests. Other receptionists are no better. In other hotels receptionists welcome the guests and make them feel at home. Here it is as if they are doing a service to guests by allowing them to stay! Grab and go breakfast is useless. The kitchen utensils are not good. In fact, I got two severely chipped tea cups! Rooms are supposed to be cleaned once every week. Mine did not happen. Even after following up with reception, nothing happened. Only reason I may think of staying here again is because Alameda is a calm & safe place and there are stores/restaurants nearby. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel. Otherwise this is a hopeless place unless the staff show cheery attitude.

Absolutely the most frustrating front desk staff! Hotel is old with thin walls and being underneath a stomper that seems to pace is not conducive to a good "nights" rest while working graveyard. Informed the manager and desk creek 4times who called however the tenants phone was always disconnected. When informed of this the Manager did not follow through by physically going up to the 4th floor. Tom the desk clerk is more interested in his cell phone and has zero social skills and mumbles and avoids eye contact while addressing customers. He seems lazy and poorly educated.

Ruella, the hotel manager, is so awesome and accommodating! We transferred from the Oakland Extended Stay America, which was disgusting and the staff was so rude, on short notice so there were only 3 rooms open in the Alameda hotel. They were smoking rooms so Ruella took us up to all 3 so we could pick which room we wanted. They ended up not being that bad smell wise which was nice. She offered us to switch rooms when a non-smoking room was open. When the air conditioner wasn't working right we went to her and she had it fixed within 2 hours! The rooms are clean, all of the staff is friendly and helpful, and the view on the marina side of the hotel is really nice.

Beautiful location but poor service. If you are planning to stay one night or two it might be ok. The service gets worst as you need your linen changed or your room to be cleaned. Do not depend on their washer or dryer machines, totally unreliable.

Avoid Extended Stay! They charged my card numerous times at higher rates without authorization, and refused to admit or correct their mistake. My non-smoking room smells like smoke. They wouldn't move to another room because they might still be able to sell the other room at a higher rate. The manager, Ms. Ruella, is mean and made the situation worse. I paid in advance for a monthly rate and Extended Stay canceled my reservation while I was living at the hotel within the first week, and kept most of the money, all without my approval.

Dirty rooms, stained carpet, everything was dusty, the drywall was broke so they put a corner cover instead of fixing it. Floor peeling up, poor building maintnence and horrible housekeeping. Gross. Never again, not suitable for young children. I was afraid to put my son down because he was wanting to crawl on floor.
