Service was good and room was ok. The room had wooden floors, but I had expected and hoped for carpet. I expected a refrigerator and a microwave, which it didn't have. This was the 1st time staying at a motel 6. We usually stay at not very well known and cheaper motels and even they included those items. Also, we found a roach our first night. It could've been from the humidity in the room that night (we had to turn the ac lower right away. Seemed nicer outside), but thank God it didn't get into our son's playpen and thank God that was the only one.

I was very happy about everything. The room was so very clean that it looked like a brand new room. Like I was the first one ever to have that room. The staff was EXCELLENT! I believe her name was Rae and she was fabulous. She made things a whole lot easier for me. Didn't need to worry about a thing. Ever single worker there that I encountered were so very nice and very professional. The location was perfect. Perfect spot for a motel. You got the freeway right there close by, restaurants everywhere, and the trolley right across the street, by the way that I used to get to the San Diego Convention Center. I will indeed stay at this clean and friendly motel again. Thanks Motel 6 for making my stay as relaxing as it gets.

I always use Motel 6, never had such a unprofessional encounter. The associate asked me"HOW CAN I HELP YOU". No hello at all. In addition I had let him know I requested not only the top floor due being kept up all night on my last trip but a non smoking due to my daughters asthma. He said he can only accommodate one which was the non smoking so I didn't mind because he explained that there was more reservation then just mine but when I went into the office later they took 2 walk ins. One was non-smoking and they gave him a top floor. Other was a smoking and they also gave 2nd floor. I brought up to the other gentleman (not the original associate that helped me) he said he sorry and not sure what happened but they were booked and couldn't do anything about it.

The location is nice but that's it! The security precautions at this hotel speaks volume of the residential guests and their related problems. The room smelled like an ash tray and the flooring was in great need of a good sweeping and mopping. I was there for only 2 days and couldn't wait to leave. Ugh!

The motel is dilapidated and old. The rooms are small and uncomfortable. The amenities are completely lacking. I'd pay $50 for a room like this not $200. Wifi wasn't offered, there was no breakfast and the coffee wasn't even good. The only creamer offered was the chemical dry creamer that no one likes. The staff wasn't very nice and short. The price would way over what the experience was worth. It'll make me think twice before staying at a motel 6 again.

The staff was helpful and friendly and my room was clean but I give this place 3 stars because that's about all there is to it. The room was very small for a motel and no other amenities we're covered besides a bar of soap. This place is great if you need a cheap bed but I would look elsewhere if you are looking for more than that.

The price was what I can afford, the room was clean, but the beds were HORRIBLE. I now have pinkeye which I believe was a result of sleeping on equally horrible bedding, upon my arrival, the front desk person told me "someone" had been trying to reach me but he apparently didn't have the wherewithal to ask for a name/number. Just mentioned it a few times. Didn't know appropriate instructions on how to use the phone and when it did not work, had no options or suggestions. There was no radio/alarm in the room — no clock. TV was good, lots of channels. Lots of guests who, as I've come to recognize, are staying there because homeless, which is also horrible and speaks to the condition of the economy, area, and lack of services. The location attracts a lot of working people, as well. No coffee available until 6:00 a. M. So luckily, MacDonald's is within easy distance. I may or may not stay there again, based on what I've related and largely dependent on what happens to the pinkeye infection. I might suggest the bedding be checked carefully.

I got two rooms and upon check in the service desk worker was rude and did not inform us as to wear the rooms were, or did not inform me to put a parking slip on my car. When getting into the rooms: they were dirty and one smelled like bug spray. There was a strong odor of marijuana in the room were two of my children were staying in. The towels had blood and the toilet did not work nor did the TV remote. It was obvious that the room had not been PM in a long time. My husband and I worked for Motel 6 for a long time and we have never come across anything like we experienced at this location. I was graduating college and we picked Motel 6 because of the cleanliness of rooms not on luxury. And we did not get this at all. The manager was questioning our point of view on the rooms and why we were not happy but when we showed him pictures he changed his story. He did give us some money back on 1 room but that did not account for the fact my children were afraid to sleep due to the bugs and the way the rooms smelled.

I like staying here. The staff is cool courteous and helpful. Especially the girls that were working at night. I don't remember their names but I always felt welcome. I can say that the rooms could be a little cleaner I always find hair on my towels and there's dirt in the corners of the room sometimes the sides of the tub aren't wiped down. Which is minor stuff. Because of the area I understand security guards being there but sometimes the night security are rude and don't have any customer service skills. They are able to say anything and get a person blocked from staying there. Without proper handling of the situation. And I only say that because I was checking in and they had to tell a lady that she was blocked from staying there because the security guard said she was rude… I felt for her because I thought that was unfair. But other than those little hiccups I have had a good experience. A special shout out to the desk agent with blue eyes I forget his name but very helpful every time.

The best room so far. Spacious with large windows looking at the street and McDonald's. My daughter loved it.

I was here visiting & I must say the lady at the front desk Rae was great. She was resourceful very nice & respectable. I saw a lot of I guess you can call it small renovation. I've been seeing the grounds get washed things like that. It's impressive to see a property of people taking the care that they do. My doggie loved melissa she was petting him & it was just an overall great experience. I will definitely stay here next time instead of just visiting a friend.

The things missing was Microwave and small frig. The security was an a+ I have never experienced security like this at any motel/hotel. Because if that I will book here every time if I can. Being safe is a proity. I felt like a celebrity in a gated community. Thank you.

Maintenance & Housekeeping staff were really accommodating. Front desk staff for the most part were, too. Our room was VERY "compact"… there were two of us, and our 2 dogs. I would have liked to have been given a better rate for our (extended) stay, however. Used to get a rate reduction for longer stays, a week or longer… not anymore, it seems.

This was an AWFUL Experience coming from Texas to rest! No room to even turn around with 4 people in a room. No trash can in room. Had to wait TWO HOURS YES! 2 full hours to get pillows in my room. Wait… aren't they supposed to BE IN THE ROOM?!? I paid 80 bucks for a TRAP HOUSE HOTEL ROOM! Never Again!

Rooms were clean but location was very sketchy. Staff was standoffish and they have 24 hour security on the premises. Which should make you feel safe, but then you wonder why they need it? I've never been to a motel 6 that needed that much security! They won't let you in the parking lot u less you are a guest. Witnessed them evicting a woman from the property for sneaking an extra person in their room. Very sketchy.

The best chat service you could ask for. That girl Rae she is the brightest sunshine you could ask to see in the morning. My stay was comfortable and clean great job motel 6 team!

There was a gate that closed in the evening and I felt safe parking my car in the lot. I would have liked a refrigerator in my room, other than that it was decent. Not fancy but very doable.

I loved my stay at this hotel. I came in late morning from out of town, my room was nice, cozy, & clean. Thank you Rae for making my transaction smooth and quick so I was able to get showered and get to my meeting on time.

It made me expensive, for what they offer. Go 2 times I get there, I think I would not return more… There are better options out there nearby.

Very simple motel. Nice clean rooms. The beds were stiff and not comfortable. I appreciated the security that they had as a presence. I have stayed at other lower cost motels and have had all sorts of yelling and drunkenness. That was not going to happen here.

The hallways and staircases were very dirty with cigarette butts. My hotel room had No Smoking signs with an ashtray in the room. The shower head was below 5 feet. I had a NON-Smoking room and yet the room smelled like smoke. I asked why at the front desk and they said that I had a smoking room. I said that I don't but they didn't care and wouldn't move me to another room. When I was checking in there was guy that was angry that they raised the overnight price. The hotel staff told him to go away if you don't like the rules they come up with. Some staff there need to have training in customer service. Very poor condition Motel. I do not recommend this place.

My stay was great Tracie was AWESOME! What I didn't like was the deception from the phone representative. My card over charged twice. Tracie was able to straighten everything for me.

We stayed at Motel 6 after several motels. Because they offer good value for money. Most of the time we booked the motels over the Internet at a better price. Wi-Fi is unfortunately extra.

I wasn't there long but the rooms smell a lot like cigarette smoke. That and the pool was still closed with the time it was very hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was stellar.

The rooms smell of cigarette we changed room and still smelled bad, they ask IDS for the companions the beds are very of a classic motel, but to rest this well, the pool is very dirty.

Very pleasant stay in Chula Vista. Lots of restaurants around and quick easy access to local freeways. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. Check-in was quick and uneventful. Thank you for the great service!

Just there for overnight, but it was clean and quiet. Near freeway, but no noise. Good parking near my room. I felt very safe and secure there. They appear to have good security. Checkin was easy, with my reservation.

Don't Go! I know everyone gives there own Perspective on things they find unpleasant; however, regardless of what I say in this post, please experience it for yourself (They say, experience is the best teacher… So Go Experience! ). Once you have done so; I promise, you will not only regret staying there, but you will warn others to stay away like it has the Plaque. If I knew this ahead of time & could not get another motel. I would have slept in my car before giving my 70 dollars plus tax to that place. Why I state this, is due to what I've seen & experienced as a Motel 6 Guest. Here are just an few of the things I experienced & you will as well, if you choose to make reservations at this hotel… Prostitution, Drug dealing, Roaches, San Diego's solution to the HEP A problem (Funding to pay Motel 6 to keep the Homeless off the streets) … In addition to having Very rude staff (I cannot say all are like that; there are one maybe two that are pleasant). Also, the rooms Smell and the Water Pressure Sucks. Oh! I forgot to mention, Wi-Fi is not free. 2.99 & 4.99 per day. Additionally, there's no Amenities in the rooms (like… Fridge, Microwave & a Toilet that works). I know this is a lot to take in, but please take heed. However, whosoever part take in getting reservations there, please remember you were Warmed.

He needed a little cleaning in the room, they had no shampoo for the hair, one of the towels tended a pubic hair. I didn't have a minibar either.

They charge the Internet normal and premium $5 a day, they make the toilet at the time that they are stuck to the desire without asking with luck knock the door, the hard beds and must be 1 person alone if you walk with your partner charge extra $7.

For my second stay I was not happy at all. The room had a bad odor, like urine covered up with chemical in room 111. Was tolerable as long as I kept the bathroom door shut. On a subsequent stay in room 125, I had a great stay. Nice, quiet room. However, low tier internet is a waste of money. Mattress could be better. Staff were very nice and accommodating. I was able to sleep well during the day, which is a requirement for me.

Very central and close to the train, easy access and friendly staff. The pool is clean and has laundry which is very convenient.

It was a bed to sleep in and a shower to use basically. First day we didn't even have bar soap to use in our room (the second day we were given some after having went out to buy some). No shampoo or conditioner is given either so bring your own. The bed was the worst one me or my boyfriend had EVER slept in. Might as well have been sleeping on the floor. Air conditioner and TV worked fine. But it really is just about the most basic room. Next time will definitely be saving up for a better hotel to stay at.

The rooms smelled very musty and moldy. I realized the rooms were smoking rooms only when I was hit by the smell. One bed cover was very dirty. When my husband showered, and tried to dry himself, he realized the towel have full on makeup. Foundation, mascara… everything. The second towel I tried to use had what seemed to be a pubic hair. I did not shower.

The view was gorgeous and the room as always was spotlessly clean. My service companion chihuahua and I were very comfortable. I do have to say that while the room, view, and service were impeccable, I do feel the price for Motel 6 Chula Vista was way too steep. As I was driving down from San Francisco Thursday night for my high school reunion over the weekend my card was charged $77. That was fine. When I arrived to pay for the rest of my reservation over the weekend, the price shot up to $110 each night. I had to stay with a friend the third night. I couldn't afford the whole weekend. I thought I would have to car camp at Ocean Beach. I would rather have an affordable stay than room service for example. This and the eucalyptus tree planter for a dog run was unacceptable. But the service from staff and parking security was diligent, respectful, helpful, polite, they are a great team. They were all very nice and Niño and I will be returning. Though not on the weekend. Thank you Motel 6!

The room was cute, clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was great. If you're afraid or weird about bugs I would caution you though — there was a cockroach in my room. I killed it and didn't see another. The roach didn't bother me but others may have an issue. All around a nice place to stay for the price.

The employees were wonderful. The room was clean but I did step on a cockroach. The toilet did have a slow leak. The door didn't fit right and I came back one night and it was not closed enough to lock. Nothing was missing. I did like that there was shave cream and a razor for me to use. I also used the courtesy shampoo. They do have locked gates at night and two security guards so I felt safe.

Room was clean and nice, nothing fancy but for the price was just fine. Did see a cockroach outside the room at check in and then the next morning one was found crawling up the wall inside the room. Security seemed good and everything appeared to be quite safe and secure. Was not sure if AC was working right due to small amount of air fan was moving but overall it panned out and room was comfortably cool (AC was very quiet). All the staff were nice.

First I just wanted to say that the staff that checked me in on 6/25 (Danielle and her coworker) were really great and friendly and gave me quick service, They were really awesome and should be noted for it. Now lets talk about the room. I spent around $106 for my stay that night with AARP discount (paid less for Days Inn) and it was not worth it. The toilet did not flush, the sheets looked old, had hair on them, were stained and the pillows were old and stained also. The towels were tiny and not of good quality. Days Inn had an alarm clock, microwave, and fridge but there were none in this room. It looked like the room had been updated but you should really invest in toilets that work and bedding that is inviting and that you are not grossed out to sleep in. I did mention the toilet to the staff but they were low on rooms and when I found out about it not working it was the middle of the night. Did not think I had to check and see if the toilet would flush. The same with the sheets. I let the staff know about the toilet so they would be able to fix it prior to someone else using the room. Our room number was 233. The room should have been cheaper. I had a much better experience at Days Inn. Staff was great though.

Room smelled bad but otherwise pretty clean. It was a "Non-Smoking" room but smelled like cigarettes. People were smoking on the balcony right next to my room which defeated the purpose of a smoking and non-smoking section. I woke up to people talking and cussing which sounded like it was right in front of my door. I opened the door and they were on the balcony a few doors down! Shower head was really low (My husband had a hard time showering) and the water pressure wasn't that great. The bathroom smelled damp. Someone tried to open my door at 9am. I don't know if it was staff or someone who mistook my room for theirs. Free cable TV, Wi-fi is extra. Arco, Mc Donald's, and a steakhouse in front of motel were walking distance which was good for me.

Bad customer service. The ladies are really rude. Be prepare to do your maintainece. When I was checkingin a guy came to ask for someone to help him out with a cloged restroom, and the lady just told him he we have to do it himself. I book two rooms and I never requested smoking room, and I was given a smoking room because according to the lady there was no more rooms, plus I book a two beds and end it with one in one of the rooms. I couldn't cancel my rooms because they will still charge me the full price, even if I did not stay according to them. Besides the bad customer service, the room is not good at all. I've stay across the st in best western and the rooms were nice with a fridge and dressers. This one had no closet or dresser. Anyways it's too loud you hear people screaming and arguing. Stay somewhere else pay a Lil extra but you will be comfortable!

The room was decent looking, not too bad. The shower head was loose and couldn't adjust it to where I wanted. I'm 6'3 and the shower head couldn't reach my head. Pretty ghetto area considering it was cheap. Gangs are affiliated around here for I saw a man wearing a blue bandana. The receptionist didn't tell us about a parking permit and we got a 1st warning for parking (Lucky them).

Everyone was great especially Rae at the front desk! A total ray of sunlight. Only stayed a day but had no problems and the cleaning staff was on top of their game!

How does this place have anybody rating it 5 stars! My room smelled like marijuana in the middle of the night. When I pulled the sheet up there was a ball of hair in it. The bathroom towels had hair in it. The floor felt dirty. Walls are paper thin I could hear outside and through both sides of rooms. The air conditioner didn't get cool enough. When I woke up there were cockroaches in the bathroom. This place was disgusting! I couldn't even complain to the staff because when I was checking in I heard the girl on the phone with a guest who was complaining about their room being dirty too, her response was "I'm sorry we're all booked for the night so I wouldn't be able to change your room but I can send someone up with clean sheets" " no manager is here till tomorrow" so no point in me calling to complain!

Decent rooms, TV with cable and easily accessible inputs for plugging in your own device (like a blu-ray or laptop). Cleanliness was so-so. No fridge. Staff was polite.

The property is a nice property, rooms are not bad for the value; however, the rooms don't have refrigerator's, which I didn't know before going, and, the public microwave was burned up from someone or several people, turning it up too high and letting it burn, the plate was black and the bottom of the microwave is melted, very unhealthy. Police walked around the property with bull horns, telling people to leave who don't belong on the property. I've never seen anything like that before. Once I was trying to sleep and was awaken by the police on bull horns, I decided to check out, before my check out date, the following day; that was too much to have to endure. There was no way I was going to be able to rest, not knowing what kind of raid was going to take place, and since I'm a black man, I don't know if I'll get shot while getting ice or walking to my vehicle, or, going to the office, so, it was smarter for me to drive back to Los Angeles. I'm a law student and will need to look up the Section and Civil Code for that kind of trespass; it just didn't feel safe to me, being there under those conditions.

It was clean and had pleasent staff. However the phone didnt work and the internet wasnt free for guests that already paid for a room.

My stay at the motel 6 was disturbing! There was a black motorcycle club there and they were loud! I mean loud motorcycles and obnoxious women. I have never seen anything like that. From a good sleep to being awakened by hell's brothers. There were no "do not disturb" signs so while I was out, room service went inside my room. I felt violated because they could have stole from me. I saw mold on the back of the door so I had to get my cleaner to deal with it. Only one window.

Great room but if I looking for company best western across the street better option… security guard here kills action… good thing for families I guess.

Easy to reach with the trolley track, in. Mc. Donnalds are more homeless people begging. Across the street, a Coffee Shop is good for Breakfast. The shower was not warm.

The room smelled like sewage and the parking lot did not feel safe. There were homeless people with their dogs and crack heads sitting in their cars drinking alcohol. Where is security? When I asked for a new room the next day because of the smell, front desk lady, Rae said "Did you say something yesterday when you checked in? " We didn't get a new room because they were booked. But someone should have came and checked the room out. Hope me or my significant other do not get sick from that room. Wow. Now I know why this location had 2 1/2 stars. Again, when we walked in we noticed an odor but we're only there to get ready for NYE so the following morning when we extended our stay for another night I informed the front desk staff, Rae. Rae's response was "Did you let anyone know yesterday when you checked in? Sorry, we do not have any other rooms avail". Management should have been informed and they should have came and smelt the shower drain (I have a picture of the shower that looked like it had not been cleaned in a year). Around 2am on New Years the guest in room 102 which is right next to the office was locked out and was pounding on the door yelling for "Anthony" for about a good 45 min. I attempted to call the office since no one was telling them to be quiet or give them a spare key but the phone did not have a dial tone! Will never go to this Motel 6 again and no one else should either for their own safety. Go to Mission Valley location!

I do not recommend it and it is Motel where people gets drunk and late mother is worth to other people.

Rooms clean and comfortable, the only downside is that we experienced problems with the toilet and wanting you to collect Wi-Fi in these times seems a groceria, especially to guests who are foreigners.

Very quiet, and very economical, I highly recommend it.

Maintenance guys were great, had a leaky sink, reported it they were here within 5 minutes, fixed the problem and cleaned up the mess.

Staff was very nice. Only problam I had was with the Wi-Fi. It kept going out.

Room was clean and I liked the new design. Would have like to have had the pool heated. Shower head in the bathroom only 5' 6" inches high need to make taller.

Great place, great service. I've stayed here each time I've done a motorcycle trip around the Mainland. Last stop before flying back to Maui and it's a great place for a reasonable price.

Its terrible! The room was filthy. The carpet smelled bad, and had weird stains. Also, the bathroom was very gross, and the shower curtain had some kind of food stuck on it. I would NEVER stay here again their standards are so low its incredible! The staff is terrible as well. They do not properly tend to the need of their guests. I tried calling to cancel a reservation or to ask a question and the lady int he front desk, Gina, wouldn't even let me finish explaining my situation and I would already be transferred to "Reservations. " I didn't asked to be transferred. I wanted the person int he front desk to take care of me then. I didn't want to wait any longer. It was infuriating and very annoying. I can safely say that I will never visit this Motel 6 again.
