I highly recommend The Bay Hotel, right on the beach of beautiful Camps Bay with the most amazing sunsets ever. Very friendly and helpful staff. If Prince Harry stayed here, so can you😂

Perfect position on camps bay beach, outstanding food and wine, indoor padel court, Friendly staff, artworks and classic bikes, 3 pools, quiet rooms.

Really terrible service from the reservations team — very rude and unfriendly. I called to check an email had been received because previous emails had gone unanswered for days — and was told “ you emailed me 8 minutes ago — I am busy with a booking for tomorrow — your email is in the queue. “ and when I replied I was just checking if she got the email she didn’t have to be so rude she replied “ well if you got the auto response then the email was received! ” Absolutely shocked to say the least…. It’s a poor reflection on the hotel and the service they provide.

Security staff, Jason and one lady from Restaurant friendly, as for the rest VERY POOR service! Very disappointing experience. Will definately not recommend or return. Waited until 14h30 on arrival for the Penthouse to be ready. 2nd day room was never cleaned! Whirlpool not working properly and drains stink!

Excellent service and stunning view!

The pools and view from the hotel to the beach… and view of hotel from the street are excellent but I was very dissapointed.
Firstly we were not aware you have to pay for parking at the hotel… I mean really and there is limited parking space. Our room was only ready at 15h00 instead of the 14h book in time.
I had to phone reception 3 times for ice which arrived a hour after last call.
We did not receive our sunset cocktails/drinks wich were also suppose to be included in our stay
the porter was very friendly but the rest of the service poor.

The housekeepeing staff are thieves. Didn’t expect this from a 5 star hotel. I’m so disappointed and disgusted.

Very cool surfer theme, on the beach. Walk to nice restaurants and shops. Security was top notch. Felt safe at all times.

Lovely hotel in a great position overlooking Camps Bay beach. We had everything we required and a superb room.

Beautiful restaurant with an amazing view of Camps bay. The food is out of this world. I ordered Red Roof Sushi Compliments to the sushi Chef Ashley… Best sushi in cape Town by FAR. We also ordered chicken strips and chips with a fantastic sauce beef sauce, Greek salad and my son enjoyed his chocolate milkshake… The restaurant Staff is extremely friendly and have great recommendations, adding to this we had a professional waiter Carlos, always had a smile and adds great service, awesome ambiance. Big thank you to the bistro @the bay. Will be back campbell family.

Absolute perfect location! Sunken living room suite style rooms with views of the roaring Atlantic. Walk to dinners. Great beach. Easy access to CBD Cape Town or all points South.

I was a guest twice but frequently go for brunch. It’s a sickening view of Clifton and quite a good hotel. It’s a pretty penny that will be very well spent. The rooms are good, the food is great and the beach is just across the street. You have bars, restaurants, supermarkets and everything you need around. Great spot and close to it there is a bar nowadays that in the old times was the oldest drugstore in the world.

Thank you so much for such a special way to celebrate Mother's Day. The staff were friendly, kind and attentive. The room was stunning, with the most beautiful interior and views. The breakfast spread was also so delicious. I highly recommend a stay here.

Great hotel, spectacular views, clean room and linen and scrumptious breakfast. Guys from maintenance response time on point, my electricity problems were sorted within 2 minutes, applause to Oscar for his professionalism. Friendly and helpful security guys at the gate. We will definitely come back soon.

Room was pretty cool it was very warm and comforting, very clean with a little seating area — beautiful view. Lovely breakfast buffet, buffet staff were great, specially the manager — she put in that bit of effort no-one else did. The general staff were not so pleasant to be around, they looked bleak mostly. Warning to all — if you do not wish to be disturbed, do not forget to put the "do not disturb" sign up :)

Beautiful hotel with very nice restaurant. Magnificent view of the sea.

Lovely hotel situated in the centre of the beautiful Camps Bay area of Cape Town. Friendly, approachable and professional staff. Table Mountain view rooms face away from the pool and are peaceful. If opting for one of these rooms I would suggest requesting a room further down the corridor, not rooms 04 and 06, as the view from these rooms is hindered by the sight of an air con vent. Also, check out their sister hotel, Camps Bay Retreat, which hosts an excellent BBQ on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In short, good food, multiple pools, great staff, good cocktails. We would happily return to the Bay Hotel.

We were only in the Sandy-B. — Beach Club (because we had slept at the sister hotel Camps Bay-retreat). We had the impression that this is all about being seen and seen. The area itself was beautiful. The drinks are affordable and taste good.

Good service with attentive staff. Nice food and good pool. Parking is good if needed. Comfortable rooms and nice bars.

The hotel and location liked us well. However, I had expected almost even more. The rooms are OK, the bed comfortable. The bathroom is quite cramped and has also been in the years.
Wi-Fi worked very well, also the protected parking facility was very comfortable.
The breakfast area was great, the service still has air upstairs. There was always something missing at the buffet, which is not possible in a high-priced 5 star hotel.
Very nice was the service in the bars, also the reception staff and especially the driveway (security) was very friendly.

Loved everything about it. Enjoyed a special engagement party there, with the view and the food I was in heaven!

The rooms are still quiet and very comfortable.
The breakfast is outstanding and the service excellent.

My Husband and I spent 4 lovely nights at the Bay Hotel as part of our honeymoon. We had originally booked the Table Bay Hotel by the Waterfront, but after doing some more research we wanted to stay in Camps Bay. We switched to this hotel and are so thankful we did. The staff are amazing, in particular Sedick. The advice he offered us whilst we were there was fantastic and his recommendations in restaurants were fabulous (my partner and I are quite the foodies too and we can be tough critics when it comes to dining and wine). The hotel has lovely generous size rooms, a daily buffet breakfast in a beautiful natural lit room overlooking the beach, a day spa, a bar with a warm fireplace to enjoy a glass or red or nightcap and a great pool (unfortunately the weather was drizzly during our stay so we were unable to make use of it, however we will be back to do so). It is also located directly opposite the beach, surrounded by some great cafe's and spots to enjoy a cocktail and watch the stunning sunsets over the water. I think Camps Bay is the nicest way to experience Cape Town and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We can't wait to return to The Bay Hotel :)

Great location. Most of the staff are quite friendly. Pool area is only open to hotel guests. It's a great place to chill, stare at the ocean and get drinks. There's decent sized gym with some free weights, bench press, cardio equipment. A spa is also available.

Me and my better half Karen have just returned home to England after a truly memorable and wonderful time staying 12 nights. Having not been to South Africa before and only having a brief outline of what we wanted to do on our trip it was important for us to get the best advice possible. Hotel manager Sedick a great guy gave us so much good advice and went out of his way to make sure our itinerary ran to plan so we made the best use of our time. The staff are always lovely, nothing is ever too much trouble, service with a smile always. The Hotel is a pleasant environment to be and boasts many well known visitors for good reason. The artwork on display throughout adds a nice touch to the interior design plus the added addition of the many motorcycles on display might seem quirky but it works very well. Everything else has been thought through. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, I like the chill out area and balcony, the views over Camps bay really are breathtaking especially from the dining area. Every morning at Breakfast we really did feel we were in paradise, even on a couple of Misty mornings. Food is excellent with choice for even the most picky eaters. Again staff helpful and friendly. Outside there is a pool and deck area, plus a Gym and Spa, a couple of bars and the Bistro restaurant. The Hotel has conference facilities and on our final night we saw a Wedding party arrive with everybody happily taking pictures.

Great service, beautiful contemporary rooms, lovely views and an all round wonderful stay. Penthouse room was an absolute treat.

Awesome location — worth getting a sea facing room to enjoy the location to the fullest. Parking is available if you are happy to ignore the grumpy staff letting cars in. The front desk staff can be a little mechanical in checking you in. Breakfast staff are fantastic. Rooms are lovely and well thought out. The pool areas make you feel you are part of the beach. A few small negatives are that it is a bit more noisy because it is so close to the bars. You can ask for a room that takes this into account if you mind and they’ll find you a room less effected by the bars. The spa is okay only. Overall, a hotel worth staying at.

This is a hotel with something different. Still very much "Camps Bay, Cape Town" but also unique in its own way. Friendly and helpful staff and management.

Beautiful hotel! The staff are very friendly. The breakfast is very tasty I would recommend the French toast it's delicious! The taxi service is very good we loved Jame' s stories he was a delight to chat with. The spa was amazing felt so relaxed the girls really did a great job! Plus my eyelashes and brows loomed Great! Very clean and just a beautiful hotel.

Totally overrated hotel. The rooms are old fashioned and threadbare carpets. Bathrooms are dreadful. Cape town is having one of the worst droughts in years and no signs anywhere in the hotel or the room's warning guests to save water which is a total disgrace. The room charges are exorbitant and the aircon rattles keeping you awake and they want to charge you for coffee pods? We were also charged for nuts with our predinner drinks? I have never come across these blatant money grabbing tactics. The hotel relies on the location and doesn't bother with good service. I suspect they are not after local customers like ourselves at all but rely on overseas guests with Pounds and Euros. We definitely won't go back.

We were hotel guests for two nights during Christmas week. I would highly recommend it… great service, great food, inside the hotel the ladies will find at your disposal a hairdresser and a spa with beauty centre.

Views, views and location. Hotel is very comfortable. Try for a sea facing room, its worth it. The breakfast is good, but again the views from the Breakfast mess is great. Beach on your doorstep and in the heart of Camps Bay vibes…! Hotel has good design and heritage profile to set it apart from the more nouveau ones close by…!

Needs to be refurbished. The rooms are tired. The team quite lackadaisical.
