I had a great stay at the Holiday inn it was just amazing the people were great everything was clean and my stay was excellent there the staff was friendly and very courteous to my needs.

I made this reservation for my dad and step mom they said it was great and everyone was nice.

We got to spend 5 nights at this holiday inn and it was the best! Great service, great accommodation for the large group we had. Good food, and our a presidential suite was phenomenal! ❤️❤️

It has a wonderful executive suite. Being able to have breakfast and snacks throughout the day is a plus.
it is a 7 minute walk to the Train Museum and you can see Old Town from it. Close and easy to see things.

We stayed because it was so close to Golden 1 to see Dave Matthews… but HI surpassed our expectations and added another element to our weekend getaway. Wonderful staff, great food… they were very accommodating for all requests. In fact, they seemed to be ahead of us in everything. We will be doing more weekend getaways to Sac because of this HI.

Stay here on the reg, late Feb, always polite, friendly staff, clean rooms, great support of our conference room during the week. Restaurant is reasonably priced, varied menu.

I had an issue at the hotel, great customer service prevailed and it was resolved. I would have bumped to a 5 but the hotel is getting tired in comparison to others. Though the pricing reflected that.

Great location. Clean room. Good service. The location is really the best part. Price was fair. It's right downtown and you can walk everywhere.

I'm out here at least once every 2-3 months. This hotel has always been great. Always clean and very helpful with anything I need. Only down side is that there is no refrigerators in the rooms and you need to request one. Other than that. Close to Amtrak and Old Sac and accessible to the state Capitol as well.

The bar had delicious food and the bartender was amazing. Great knowledge of drinks and some of the best service at a bar I've had in years. The room was comfortable and clean the air conditioning unit works great. Staff was friendly and airport shuttle was prompt on their service.

August 10-12 we had our family reunion in Sacramento. And Ramon Ontiveros was an amazing young man to make this special event memorable to my family. I came in at 1:00Am and the bell's man Joshua unloaded all my boxes from my car and placed in my room. All the staff were pleasant, friendly, and made sure our stay and time was perfect. The banquet manager went above and beyond in making sure our banquet was perfect and allowed us to use technology we didn't have. I would recommend this hotel for any business or pleasure you need. They all go the extra mile. Also the day bell's man helped take my items to the banquet forgot his name. Young African American man.

The rooms were clean and the location was pretty great! The front desk staff was helpful and friendly! I had a delicious breakfast but the bar area was too crowed to really enjoy so I went off property and explored Old Sacramento (2 min walk). Had a fantastic evening out! This is a great place to stay if you want to spend time in Old Sacramento!

I have stayed downtown in the “fancy” expensive hotels on my trips to Sacramento, and I will never stay anywhere but this holiday inn again. The location feels safer, the hotel is beautiful and very clean, the staff friendly, and the executive lounge is great! Dollar for doallar the Holiday Inn is the best choice!

I just want to say that I have been staying in this hotel for nearly 20 years and have never been disappointed. The hotel is in an excellent location within minutes of Old Sacramento and the new Golden 1 Arena. New upscale restaurants are being built next to the hotel in the Downtown Commons. Now while the rooms and furnishings could use a minor upgrade, it's the staff that keeps me coming back. Zack, Jacob, Jackson and Jordan all work in valet and always take good care of my car and are friendly and attentive to my needs. The staff at the front desk: Sunita, Linda, Alana, Karen, Roman and Mary (there's other great staff too but I just don't know all the names) always go out of their way to greet me and make me feel welcome. Now, let me tell you about concierge. The hotel has a very nice breakfast in the morning and light snacks and drinks in the evening if you are a Platinum member. The Concierge Host in the morning is Mariana and she does an excellent job providing a wonderful experience and a great looking setup. The host at night is Joann and she is great too. I have known her for years. She is always smiling and friendly. Now for housekeeping. I stay most often on the Executive floor (because the hotel gives me an upgrade because of my IHG status). Rosa and Maria do the housekeeping on the 14th floor and always do a great job, making the rooms fresh and stocking up on complimentary water and coffee.

The beds are the only thing really going for them they lady who on more then one occasion checked us in was very rude and very slow. We waited at that front desk for over 20 minutes to repay for another night making us show id again and when I said you should have chairs here for your guests to be comfortable with the long check-in process she rudely says if you don't like it you can leave. I was shocked at that kind of service. They are also operating without a elevator permit. My picture shows they had a temporary but it has as expired as well.

Awesome location to Old Sacramento and short walking distance to Golden 1 Center. Clean and well kept room & friendly staff. Self parking is a change per night… something like $16 a night. This is a plus; when we got to our room there was no refrigerator. We answered a courtesy text message from the front desk, I gave them an 8, and they wanted to know how to make our stay better. It wasn't a complaint, just casually mentioned I wish there was a small refrigerator in the room. A short time later one was delivered. Fantastic service! If back in the area will definitely stay here again.

Location awesome, decent rooms, cozy little bar in the lobby. Breakfast buffet is ok but order an omelette to your liking with crispy hash browns. Right next to old town Sacramento. Plenty around to eat.

They overbooked, placing me in a nearby hotel about 10 min. North. While they honored my stay placing me in a Doubletree, I originally chose the hotel to be near a the destination if a business trip. Coming in late from a 2+ hour trip and looking forward to a good night's rest, it was an inconvenience to relocate late at night.

This place is amazing. You can tell that they cater to the business crowd, but they are still vacationer friendly. One of the more upscale places we stayed at on our trip up and down the Western Coast line. I give it an 11 out of a 10. Amazingly friendly staff, made you feel like you were staying at a family ran motel, not like you were just a room number like a lot of big corporate hotels do. Stay here if you get the chance.

We stay at this location several times a year, have always had a great experience. I love that it is walking distance to everywhere we like to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Holiday was great employees were very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice and spacey the beds were comfortable as well. U enjoyed my stay.

Stayed in the 2 double/queen bed room. Mattresses are very comfortable, pillows are full and fluffy. Staff was courteous, professional and eager to assist. Air unit in room 1125 works very well for both got and cold. Great view of railroad museum and local architecture. Common Sense Kids Action participants along with myself had a wonderful productive trip.

Elevators are slow. Room is spacious. Hotel is close to old Town and a mall (walking distance) gym is a small but has the necessary equipment.

Clean, friendly staff. Was there for a conference and I just walked it to the place. It was nice to have the valet service, u pay extra but your car is ready for you and taken care of.

I DO NOT recommend this hotel. The hotel is very sketchy. The pool is on the second floor and outside, but is in an akward place and seemed unsafe. We almost moved hotels because the hotel was that bad. No refrigerator or microwave. This hotel is dusty and I did not enjoy my stay. This is one of the worst holiday inns I have stayed in.

The dining room service was terrible. I sat with one other guest and he left before I did. I was sitting alone for 20 minutes with the person who left, dirty dishes on the table. Had to get my own silverware, my own coffee cup my own creamer. The eggs were gone from the buffet line. Never offered water or refills. Only Interacted with server when asked if I wanted juice and when she brought my bill. Restaurant had 20 other guest. About 30% occupancy. Lots of room for improving their service and supervising their staff by their management. After reporting this to the Front desk manager, my bill was reversed. The manager was so upset of how things happened and was very sincerely embarrassed. I have a feeling that this problem will be rectified.

Came here for a public event. This hotel hotel has a big parking garage next door. Parking isn't a problem. Great location. Right next to old Sac.

Everything was great. I Ubiera liked that breakfast was until 9:30. The first night, I couldn't sleep because I could hear the noise outside and it sounded like my window was open. But everything else was great. They have very good service.

The hotel is nice and clean. I found it odd that the rooms didn't have refrigerators in them. Most hotels in this price range have them included in the room. The pool is nice, warm and clean. I had good interactions with the staff and they provided a warm friendly environment.

Rooms are fine but there are no fridges. The room keys are absolute garbage. I had to get my key card replaced several times over a 3 night stay because it would stop working. Staff and management knows that they are garbage but they made clear that they couldn't care less and demand photo ID upon each and every replacement. It is very rude to expect your customers to make repeated trips down to the front desk because they won't bother to maintain a functional lock/key system.

So I got to wait while she helped her co-worker find a guest in one of the rooms for somebody looking for them. When we got up to our room the door handle was hanging down and wouldn't operate the door unless you twisted it at an angle while you were pushing. I called down to the front desk to have somebody look at it they said they would send maintenance but I never saw maintenance show up and the door handle never got fixed. The third issue I had was when I made a cup of coffee the coffee packets with the creamer and sugar in it we're missing both the stir sticks and the creamer packets like somebody had opened them up previously and taking those items out. This might be acceptable if I had chosen stay at a Motel 6 but I thought I was staying at a better Hotel. The only good part about the hotel was that I was able to walk to where I wanted to go. I am also a club member of Holiday Inn Hotels but I'm starting to question that choice.

Union hotel, so I'll always try to book here. The hotel is standard, makes a good martini, and and hotel staff have always been great. The only downside of my last visit was that there was loud drilling during the day because they're replacing the toilets. Our toilet was replaced and leaked a little when we checked in and maintenance was real quick about coming up to tighten it up and housekeeping came right after to mop up the water. :)

We were utilizing the Holiday Inn architecture for the background in a family photo. The back of the hotel is connected to an underground walkway painted with colorful murals and some history of the founders of Sacramento. The tunnel leads into Old Sacramento and additional pay parking structure. It is well lit and parts are open aired.

Excellent location to go to downtown and Old Sacramento.

Hotel was clean and a very good location near old Sacramento. Hotel services were very accommodating. We were able to get two adjoining rooms and a late check-out. On site dining was good also.

The issue with the hotel is that it doesn't include free parking with your room and parking at least during the week days is $18 per night in a garage slightly off site. I got a $47.50 parking ticket the first day because I failed to see a fading yellow line on the ground indicating not to park there during specific hours. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean and quiet, in downtown Sacramento. I would stay again but I wish the hotel would be more clear about the parking garage situation, or that they would pick up some of the bill. The $18 per night is a pretty high cost for hotel parking. $18 is the same price that people not staying at the hotel have to pay because it is a city of Sacramento owned parking lot. Overall the location is good for going to the Golden 1 Center, and is walkable to the Capital, the walk is a little far.

There is an underpass right outside the side exit where you see a lot of homeless people at night; the immediate area isn't the greatest in the evening. Outside of that, the hotel/ area is fine. Was a very nice experiensia and there is a beautiful place and the deal is very friendly.

I was in town for the day for a concert when a series of unfortunate events made me miss the last train out. Due to the number in attendance for the concert there were no hotels with vacancies so I was out on the street! Seth the manager and one of his security guards Steve literally saved me and allowed me to stay safe in their lobby area until the train station reopened and I could catch the next ride back home. Steve even brought me a cup of coffee. I was pretty freaked out and they went beyond above and beyond to lookout for a complete stranger and make me feel comfortable. I will forever book my hotel rooms with them and only them when I am in the area, you have a customer for life!

I love this place! This staff is very friendly! Always helpful at the front desk! If your tired and want a drink the bar is the place to be! The bartenders Sam and Melissa are the best! Sam will even spin a bottle for you while he makes a drink! And Andrea the server is awesome! They treat you like family!

The location is great. You have to be careful of the construction going on (closes the sidewalls). The workers are very helpful and nice beds comfy but my biggest complaint is that there is no fridge.

I'm pleased with this hotel so far. I travel a lot and I only stay at IHG properties. This location is above average compared to others I've stayed at (across the Country). The valet staff greeted me well. The front desk staff have been nice and accommodating. My room was clean and ready when I arrived. This hotel is located in the heart of the city there are things to do with in walking distance. I stayed on the 14th floor and at the time of testing the wireless internet speeds were 22.6Mbps down, and 8.9Mbps up! Cheers (:

The room want very clean. There were a number stray hairs in the bathroom, bags missing from trash cans, a water bottle cap on the floor, and used wine glasses outside of the door (granted, they were fairly easy to miss). Other than that, the room was nice, had a decent view, abde the staff was VERY friendly.

Convenient location and comfortable rooms. Pool is small and unheated.

It's been fine so far. Our original room had not been cleaned from the previous guest, so they moved us to a new one and gave us free breakfast during our stay as an apology. The new room is clean and nice. I don't have much to say but Google is asking for my review already while I'm still here.

I ordered breakfast potatoes and bacon for breakfast, both of them were cold. And drinking glasses in the room were dirty. The staff was very friendly.

Breakfast food was great. Prime rib sandwich was awesome. Only issue is no pool, nothing to do to keep you entertained and downtown was a complete dead zone.

The staff is friendly and the restaurant is decent and reasonably priced. We love that it is so close to Old Town and walking distance to the Capitol. We stay here after Christmas almost every year.

Very comfortable, very friendly staff. No free continental breakfast though? even motel 6 had that… I do like that it's within walking distance from everything downtown.

Nice enough hotel, nothing special for 3 stars, was in old school room with adjoining room door, and got to enjoy their music and intimacy sounds, late into the evening. The restaurant was like concession company run, bland food, nice plates don't make you special, especially if you don't know how to display/serve a burger on the plate, and med. Rare should involve some pink, fries were cafeteria quality. Did get a good discount from Priceline, but be advised, 16.00 parking garage to 18.00 valet, parking charge a day. Sorry, don't think it was $25, Priceline deal, a night better than what is called 2.5 stars, and it's certainly not worth their posted prices and then add parking. I would call it fine for business when a company is picking up the tab, but not a personal visit value to me. On the plus side, Staff very polite, great location for visiting Old Sacramento area, and great array of downtown dining and nightlife, just blocks away.
