This hotel needs a complete upgrade! The beds were sooooo uncomfortable and hard. The frames creak every time u move. The TV had to be replaced twice because neither one worked. The one that did work was so small I could barely watch it without straining my eyes. The shower sprayed every which way except me… even with the curtain closed water still got all over the floor. With all these issues they still charged $89 per night… I don't think so… we were supposed to stay 3 nights we checked out next morning. Do not waste your money!

Suppose to be a 24 hour lobby but nobody is at the front desk. Worst place ever.

Tried once in November — should have known not to stay here again. Cockroaches, dirty rooms. Dirty towels and linens! The TV never works. The bathroom door in our room was broken — the shower curtain was piss yellow and not because it was bought that way. I get that this is strictly a family run business — but consumers Pay to stay — almost $10” to stay in filth! Never again and I suggest when looking for a motel/hotel in Riverside — stay away from this one!

Probably the only thing I found comfortable staying here, was the bed and tv. Everything else was just awful. You had to forcefully pull the knob in the shower just so you can get the water flowing which looked like you were going to break it. The bed looked like it was fixed, but when I was getting ready for bed, literally just the main blanket on top was fixed and all the sheets underneath were a mess! The area looked a bit sketchy as well.

Great value, 5 minute walk to the Boardwalk/beach, and nice clean rooms with a huge bathroom with walk-in shower fully tiled… Nice size fridge with a small freezer microwave Samsung TV great coffee maker… The staff was friendly kind and gave me extra anything I asked for… There's a skate park across the street from where we're staying and it's cool to look out the window and see… But the best overall thing was the price… it was literally $50 more to stay anywhere else in Santa Cruz… I will be staying here in the future…

Ewww, when I first arrived there were hookers, drug addicts and kids running around. The room was dirty. Blood on blankets and sheets. I would never stay here again. To my surprise no bed bugs. I definitely had to check upon looking at the room. STAY AWAY… my original review had more pictures. For some reason they were removed. Yes the blanks looked like that, we didn't do that to them.

It was alright but housekeeping has much to be desired. We had no toilet paper went to front desk to ask for some and we where told we had to wait for the housekeeping lady to come by. When she got there she asked for our towels so they can wash them and then return them to us.

Its thé worst hotel in riverside callifornia we were there for 4 days and the houskeeping didnt even come no towels no blankets and it stinks alot the batthroom dirty never come to this hotel neverr. Its the worstt!

This place actually deserves half a star because the bedding was okay. To begin, the service was extremely bad. When I wanted to check in, the lady (who seemed like the owner) didn’t care at all about me and kept on counting her money and even at one point started going on her cell phone. I constantly tried to get her attention and ended up waiting half an hour before some other worker was able to check me in. To be honest, the room was okay; it was smaller than most other hotels I’ve stayed at. Although, they didn’t provide any soap besides hand soap (there wasn’t any soap in the soap dispenser in the bath tub) and the towels looked dirty. They were white and were getting kind of dark, so they should’ve replaced them. When I went to ask for the soap and shower gel, they said would deliver it to me, but nothing happened. I even asked twice during my two nights there, yet we still didn’t get any. In addition, the Cable television wasn’t working so we were bored, but that was okay because they gave me 10% discount. If TV wasn’t an option for us, we figured the free Wi-Fi would help keep us company, but it was so slow, we ended up not using it. For the complimentary breakfast, there was nothing on the table at the lobby and when I asked for it, they just took out three Danish pastries (the packaged ones you’d get from Costco). The next morning we went to get breakfast again at 7:30ish but the lobby was closed until 8:00am, despite supposedly being 24 hours.

Horrible business practices.

It's a room for the night. I didn't do a thorough inspection, but everything appeared to be clean. The walls are a thin, and easy to hear through.

Worst place. You could hardly find parking, the breakfast is trash, the shower don't work, they also had zero shampoo, the room also smelled weird, and the toilet didn't flush right.

Was told to just come on at 1pm when calling to make reservation in the morning. Assured that 'plenty of rooms available'. Upon arrival, was sold out with no apology and forced to find other accommodations at a higher price.

Recently stayed there for almost 2 months worst mistake EVER! MOST OF THE ROOMS GOT BED BUGS! Had gotten bit by the bed bugs not once but twice n instead of taking care of it like a professional rush the lady that works attitude completely changed put us in olanother room n noticed she didn't wash the sheets correctly didn't even spay the rooms and had said it was my fault please!

Stayed here for a night thought it was ok but as soon as we woke up my husband and I were filled with bed but bites. This place is a mess. I would definitely no recommend this place.

It is what it is. You get what you pay for! Cheap cheap. The best time to take a here is in the mornan! This is the best view I could find. Out front of the entrance way.

Booked a room here in advance for Cousins wedding with 2 others. Was told room slept 3 easily. Found only 1 bed and a pull out sofa which was not what I was told. As well when we pulled out the sofa bed we found porn magizines and cigarette buds and trash in the hotel room. The complex had trash all around spewing from their dumpster and was really dirty. Manager didn't seem to care either after telling them about what we found in the room. I guess they don't really care to clean their room between guests. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

I paid for a non-smoking room and the room I was given smelled like smoke, the bed sheets had blood stains all over the place. I asked for clean ones and they took for ever to take them to the room. So I had to go get them myself. The clean sheet they gave me was old and full of holes. The Wi-Fi is so slow. Worst hotel experienced ever.

You will not find any Motel on Magnolia without bugs without a little mess it happens but I will say this they are the best owners that I know they are polite nice respectful even when they're upset to tell you nicely be quiet or get out one of the two I myself have never heard anything bad about this place ever. An and I am here again for the weekend and I live in Lake Elsinore I come down here at the only place I do checked into really is the Riverside Inn or the American Inn have a nice day.

I asked for a non smoking room and the room smelled like smoke. There was poop stains on the toilet and little debris scattered around the bathroom. There's a refrigerator but it doesn't work. The sheets on the inside of the bed had hair and debris all over it… not clean at all. The clean towels had black hair all over them. I went to the office in the morning for the continental breakfast and the lady had to rush me through my breakfast so she could lock up the office to take her kid to school. Low rates for a reason I suppose. Next time I'll pay the extra amount and stay at a professional looking hotel.

Bed bug infestation is all I have to say among otherpretty fucking disgusting things like shit in the toilet still hair in the shower and falling out of the shower curtain.

Completely horrible experience. First room I was given had wall lamps that were falling off the wall and holes in the plaster. I switched rooms and got one just as bad… Shower didn’t work properly, entire room was run down. Rust in the tub. Extremely poor maintenance and customer service for the outlandish prices. Will NEVER be staying there again.

The sleep there was nice and comfortable BUT when I woke up the next morning 12 15 17 Bugs had bit me on my arms around my neck. I checked out at 9 o'clock because I woke up scratching all on my arms and around my neck it is 1047 after I applied witch Hazel and alcohol on my arms and neck I am still itching like a dog with fleas. I WILL NEVER EVER go back to this hotel and it's a shame because it is quiet and comfortable but the bugs they were not invited. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there unless you have tough skin.

Room smelled skunkish, but that was my only complaint. They got me a new card when mine would not open our room. They were very helpful and accommodating.

I found two COCKROACHES in my room here. The staff was not present in the main office when I arrived and took 45 minutes to show up. Will not stay again. Do not recommend to anyone, no matter the price. Pay more for a better place to stay.

Room was nice and clean. Only complaint was the bedsheets. They were clean but looked a bit worn out. Otherwise great stay!

Very good service but the rooms are not so clean. But very good place for a party night.

Not sure what consist of 1 star, but they had no option for You Owe me Stars for staying here! They don't do refunds. Nor give out towels, breakfast, TV's don't work, they have Live roaches in the fridge and their Dead fallen comrades everywhere else. They pretend they don't speak English unless your talking cash. They charge for ice! And their customer service skills is representative of The Respect they have 4 us and our hard earned dollars! I wouldn't send my enemy here.

No sheets or towels, and I had to make the bed. Bad.

Riverside Inn & Suites is definitely a budget motel and the adage that "you get what you pay for" definitely rings true here. Parking was difficult, we ended up without a spot so we had to move a cone and park in front of the handicapped ramp. The beds didn't have fitted sheets, flat sheets were tucked in and the pillows left much to be desired. The people hanging around in the parking lot and outside their rooms weren't the classiest but we never felt unsafe. The A/C worked well but made rattling sounds every half hour or so. Overall though, this was the cheapest motel closest to where we needed to be for a family party. Rooms were cleaned and no obvious broken or missing items. It was a good value for what we paid and I would stay there again if we were in the area.

It was the first time in the area and needed help finding an address and when I entered, no one was watching the lobby. I knocked on the counter, walked around, called for someone. It wasn't until the front desk phone rang did someone show up, they didn't even answer the phone call or help me.

If you want to stay at the heroin hot spot this is the place to be. Terrible manager that will ignore you when you want a refund. Mold everywhere, nasty sheets, smoke smell in a non smoking room, sticky floors, stains on the beds. Found heroin in tin foil and everything, not once, but TWICE.

Me and my two kids and brother stayed one night in this horrible place at the beginning of march. We drove in from Texas and was tired. We got their about 1215am we off loaded the truck and was ready for bed when my kids got in bed the blankets where so soaked with god knows what, asked for new sheets an blankets and pillows they where Dirty the bed had blood stains all over it. So I hot the attendee she was so helpful she broght 4 extra sheets to put over the bed then the other stuff. We pulled the bed from the wall to put the other sheets on the floor was nasty and had pills on the floor and sun flower seeds there was also water on the floor. We where very upset. By the time everything got done it was 130am. Im very disappointed in this motel stay. The next day the other office lady refunded the stay. If I can post my pictures hear I would so do it. So male sure you check everything before you lay in your bed. Or your kids. Did I mention that the pillows had stains all over them as well.

Its okay it was a few things missing like a trash can and not enough towels for 2 bed and had to pay for the ice which was a uncommon being tho I've never heard of that before but other than that it was cool…

Rooms are great, Wi-Fi didn't really work, and it was very close to the mall. There's a police station nearby, which is nice when the surrounding area seems dangerous.

It was clean. Service is awful. No toliet paper. No kleenex. Manager was rude. His wife was sweet. We stayed for 5 days. Drain in bathtub was clogged. They never gave us more than 2 towels. Breakfast hahaha it was empty big joke. Area is awful prostitutes hanging around and smells like weed. They shut off the water for hours without warning us. Toliet clogged on last day and they never cams to unclog it. I wont be going back there again.

I have stayed here at least once or more every year since 2000. Never a complaint or problem. My last stay was this week. They have redone much of it and just as good as always. It is a smaller hotel on Magnolia but worth the stay. My car was not damaged or belongings touched. Would stay here anytime.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I saw the listing for 60 a night. I called them one block away to see availability and price. The guy said 65 a night. Three min later I was there and now he says 79. I told him he just told me 65 and he says 79 is it. I got into the room at 6 pm and tried to take and shower but only Luke warm water. I figured I would let it warm up. 730 am I tried the shower and only cold cold water. I went to the office to complain. No remedy. The free breakfast was empty totally. Not one muffin. While I was in the lobby an older gentleman comes in to complain that his sheets have not been changed in 6 days. Cold water. He said he talked to the manager the day beforw and still nothing done. Aweful experience!

It is gross, we got a room and it had roaches, the door knob came off on the inside, the toilet didn't work and the water would go hot cold hot cold hot cold within 15 minutes of taking a shower, it was worse then staying in a motel in the ghetto… Never again!

It was dirty and the room smelled awful. The floors were sticky like if no one has cleaned them. There was hair in the bath tub Wouldn't ever stay there again.

People have So many complaints. I've stayed in 5 start hotels and I've stayed in dumps. This is neither. The room was small, but clean and I had a fridge, microwave, iron, flat screen TV, granite shower… This place isn't bad at all for the price. And the staff were super nice. I've stayed in nicer places for more and they didn't have a fridge or microwave. It's a convenient location and I'd stay here again. Only stayed one night. I wasn't about to pay double the price for a "nicer" hotel. If you're on a budget this place isn't as bad as some of the other reviews.

They stole our cloths they gave us a very bad room with no iron no hair dryer the floors where dirty and the wall paper was peeling off the door they had no shampoo or conditioner we had to go buy our own all together I will never check in this place ever again.

Do not go to this place! Horrible! Not worth $75, should have stayed in my car! Hair in the beds, bed sheets not washed, pubic hair on towels, stained towels, dirty pillows, no soap in bathroom, dirty floor, someone's socks left in a corner, shower did not drain, no vent in bathroom. As for the "continental breakfast" 2 kinds of cereal, pastries that were on the floor the night before during check in, 2 slices of sliced bread, water not refilled from last night, not worth it.

First off I called in to get a price and when I get there its another. I should have know when I walked in the room something was wrong, carpet smelled and room had a stuffy odor. Best is yet to come. Got woken up an hour later with huge 1/2 dozen bed bugs that looked like tics. Got out of there and burned my cloths. Please dont stay here at EconoLodge Riverside.

I stayed here for 8 days. I had a great time. Lots of fun, Great weather. The staff is great. The front desk staff was great. I enjoyed my stay. The bed was very comfortable.

Stinks, carpets stained, stuff on the ceiling pet fee 10 bucks a night. It is spacious they have a little pool that has stuff on the bottom. If you stay try to get the suites they are a lot nicer.

We wanted to save money and this hotel was the cheapest we could get. We only needed to stay one night so I didn't think it would be that big of a deal big mistake! the moment we got there I felt like we were in a really bad area. The hotel is not well kept at all! it is located in a really horrible area! we stayed somewhere else that night, and left our stuff there over night because I didn't feel safe going back there at night and wanted to go back when the sun was out. Do your research and contact people who you know in riverside to find a safe place. Spend the extra money to get a nice hotel, staying here is a waste of money.
