Location is great but we booked for 1 night not knowing if we wanted to try to head closer to home the next day or stay in Redding. When we was checking in one of the staff member said to the person helping us we are over booked for tomorrow so don't do any extras nights. When my husband was booking our room online it said free breakfast, but the person helping us check in said you did not click on the right spot. So now we have to pay for breakfast if we want it. Get to our room and yes they do have free Wi-Fi but it does not work on either of my tablets. Rooms are nice though.

When to this hotel just for dinner. The lady bartender's that where there are very nice. They made a special drink and named it after my wife and I, since it is our honeymoon. The food was great, very fast service and tasty food can't go wrong. The rooms idk never slept here but seems like a nice place to stay.

Very terrible experience we had with Red Lion. Once we got to hotel Kristie welcomed us, and said she only has one premium room, but she can give that to us with standard price. I thought I’m getting good deal. So once we came back from dinner, we tried to have rest, but guess what? We had door between next room and us, so after 12 am, next door start making weird voices. First we didn’t know what is going on, then noise got more clear and yes, they had sex until 7 am in the morning. Voice did change couple times, I thought they probably making porn video, who knows, all good, that is their problem, but why Kristie told us we are getting premium room? She forgot to mention that we are getting premium room with pornographers. After 7 am we slept 1 hour only and I told other receptionist about our issue. She told us somebody will call us, so past almost 2 weeks we didn’t get any apology from either pornographers and hotel as well. Best wishes!

Awesome room for a great price. Very easy check in and we didn't have a reservation. There was no microwave in the room which we found out later we had to ask for. Seems a little strange, but oh well. They have Keuregs in the room and ours wasn't quite ready yet. There were no cups left in it, but it was clean and the hotel is close to restaurants and anything else you may need.

We stayed at the hotel for a few nights for a friend's wedding. The location of the room and hotel was very convenient and easily accessed. The rooms were set up nicely and the staff was pleasant. Unfortunately, in at least 3 rooms we saw cockroaches. We reported it but were not offered to switch rooms or any compensation. This was disappointing because, having dealt with hotels as an event planner, special events like weddings tend to receive the best of the service industry, which this was not. If not for the bugs, our stay would have great, hence 3 stars.

Friendly staff. Great food. Beautiful pool. Great clean comfortable attractive rooms. I'll return.

Rented two rooms for 1 night during a WA to CA move. Cheap rates, with free parking and Wi-Fi. Our room was located in an area with spotty reception, so only a corner was able to pick it up. Rooms are in OK condition. The lady who checked us in was very kind and helpful. I'm also very thankful for the night security guy who patrols the lot at night as we had a uhaul and two cars full of our belongings.

I was an overnight guest at Red Lion Hotel. The staff were pleasant each time I interacted with them. There is a decent sized parking lot for cars and it could easily accommodate buses or RV's. It's located very close to a small shopping center as well as the local mall. Plenty of dining establishments nearby. The room was small but comfortable enough. Linens were clean. Lots of things looked like they could use some repairs or a coat of paint. Small fridge and microwave in room. Tried to microwave water for tea and in under 1 minute the microwave had burned the cup to black on the bottom (paper coffee cup suitable for heating in a microwave). Biggest issue for me was finding a dead roach under the sink in the bathroom. Easy to dispose of, but a pretty big bummer just the same.

Rooms are very spacious. Staff is super friendly. Hotel grounds are clean and well taken care of. Location of the hotel is near shopping and restaurants. Great overall I have stayed many times and never been disappointed.

The room was nice, very clean, big, quiet, the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We were asked to remove all valuables out of our car do to theft, which is definitely an inconvenience for travelers. It would be nice if they had better security so that wouldn’t be an issue. Service was a bit slow, but all in all a great stay. I’d recommend.

Great breakfast hostess. Bed was good. Bathroom floor could have used some extra attention. No indication that the breakfast was an extra $10.00 per person.

I had a very bad experience last night. I asked them to refund me the money for what happened. I shocked when my little daughter uncover the bed after 10 minuets of check in and we saw a poop on the bed and the cover look like it never been changed.

Older and outdated, but not bad. Liked the individual patios. Toiletries were great and actually really stood out — — we even took them all with us! It was extremely difficult to turn our shower on (had to push VERY hard), which was surprising given we were in an "accessible" room. Only 4 stars because breakfast ends at 9:30, rather than 10 as is typical at other hotels. We barely made it in time and of course the staff acknowledged that they were going to clean up around us as we hurriedly filled our plates. A few other guests were turned away, also thinking it would end at 10.

Comfortable beds and pillows, clean rooms and clean bathroom, lots of towels. Good staff. For an inexpensive hotel, good value. Excellent breakfast included and free parking.

The room we stayed in was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities were sufficiently stocked as well. We had a peaceful nights rest and were not awoken by unruly guests. Staff at the reservation desks were helpful and friendly above and beyond what I'm used to. Conference rooms were tidy and cozy. I could've fallen asleep in any one of the armchairs in the lobby. Definitely a wonderful experience all around and would recommend this establishment to anyone visiting the redding area!

Friendly staff. Included breakfast could have been better and the room needed some updating. Heating/cooling system wasn't working well which left us in a room that was much warmer than we wanted with no way to adjust. When we mentioned this to staff they didn't offer to adjust the bill or make any other type of compensation which was disappointing as the uncomfortable temperature left me unable to sleep most of the night. Overall it was a bed, shower and toilet… it served its purpose.

After we paid for our hotel room. The lady handed us a full page about the break-ins they have been having in their rooms and people's cars. That should have been disclosed before we paid for our room. Also there was someone below us that was having a party in their room and despite several complaints nothing was done about them. Also their so called award winning restaurant's customer service was horrible. We stood there un-helped for 10 minutes before we decided to walk out. Do NOT stay at this hotel. It's horrible all around!

Nice place with a reasonable rate. However, when we checked in our room around 10 pm at night, the shampoo and body soap used by the last customer were STILL in the shower. It really made me wonder how much effort they put into cleaning the room.

Room was large and beds were comfy but the bathroom had hairs in it. Towels are really small. The water temp in the shower went from hot to cold with no warning and then back to hot. The shower was a hand held sprayer. Tv had no signal, and they "fixed" it while we were at dinner but then it only had one channel which was abc playing Charlie Brown cartoons. They advertised free HBO. Just really expected better from a Red Lion hotel.

Nice, affordable spot off 5 to stay before heading into Shasta. Rooms are non smoking, dog friendly and include a mini fridge, DirectTV, and a little balcony or patio area. The restaurant/bar has live music on Friday nights and there are plenty of restaurants, shops and grocery stores nearby.

No in room coffee. Can't get any coffee after 10:30 am. Car was broken into… Minor stuff missing! Great bartender — Jenn is the best. I'll never stay there again!

Location was good. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and nice. I didn't like the fact that all the soda machines didn't take cash or coins only credit card and it ALWAYS charges ur card twice even though I only swipe once. And the courtyard hasn't been swept or washed down in a while. Huge spiders and cob webs everywhere on seats on door frames on pillars. Other then that amazing.

Spacious. Clean bathrooms. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Big television. Microwave. Mini fridge. Pet friendly. Decent price. Good customer service. What's not to like?

It's a decent hotel with a bit of an older style that I really like. The room was fine and had a large clean bathroom. Employees were friendly, except for those working the reception desk-they seemed kinda flat and monotone when saying "can I help you.? Good sized and clean pool and hot tub. The bar is another example of a somewhat dated, but really cool look-and I hope they don't change it!

Red Lion hotel was a pleasant place to stay. The room beds were comfortable. Everything very clean and fresh. The air conditioner was set at a good temperature. There was plenty of parking. And there were a lot of food choices around the hotel.

The bed was really comfortable, and I enjoyed that the room had vinyl wood flooring instead of carpet. It felt really clean. The room came with a mini fridge and microwave, but not a coffee pot. Had there been coffee in my room this would have been 5 stars. All the staff was super nice and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Bacon was perfect crispy. I just need that first thing in the morning coffee that I don't have to search for outside of my room.

Stayed overnight during our road trip home. Didn't check the fine print but there was no tub, only a shower. Even though we had 2 little ones we made due. The A/C system has new controllers and dies a good job but it blows super cold over one of the beds and you can't really adjust the louvers. Overall it was good as there was an in room fridge and microwave. The TV is new and beds are comfy. Good value for the price.

It was an ok place to stay. The room we stayed in only had a shower, no tub. A little tricky when u have 2 Small kids. The beds were ok, not the most comfy but better than an air mattress. The vent for the air conditioner blew out air so hard that if you slept in the bed closest to it, you were frozen everytime it kicked on. So we had to lower the temp, but still the air came out of then vent so hard that it made it annoying to sleep in the bed that was closest to the vent. Also… if you sleep on the lower level, you can hear every foot step above you… not much insulation there. I know these seem like minor small complaints, but it's just things I have noticed. Overall, the place was convenient, cheap, service was kind, and we booked online which was nice.

Huge, long walks to room. No elevator in any obvious location. Rooms are standard, clean, and have a balcony. No all views worth having a balcony for. Staff is friendly. Breakfast not included.

The bed was comfy and the breakfast was fantastic the staff was extremely friendly and accomidated our late arival.

I have traveled around the country and beyond during my career. The Red Lion Hotel in Redding CA met my needs for a personal room and for a meeting place for a class. The remarkable thing was the most helpful staff I have ever seen. Let me especially thank Randy (Engineering), Ron and Eileen (Catering), Jen (Housekeeping), Kayle and Annie (Breakfast) and Christine (Front Desk) among others for whom I did not catch their name. Everyone went out of their way to provide quality service and did so with a smile. What a refreshing atmosphere! I don't know what you did to assemble such a dedicated, friendly, helpful staff, but keep up the extraordinary work. Jan Dean.

It was a nice room, we had reserved for a small graduation party. The catering was amazing, food was delicious and the room size and tables were great! Bathrooms were pretty clean.

Very nice and quiet hotel, perfect location. One issue was there was a dead bed bug on the lamp on the desk. I did check the bed and there was nothing there, so must have been just one that died from doing a spot treatment. Other then that very clean.

Hotel is decent. Comfortable enough but furnishings in rooms severly outdated. Nice staff. Red Lion hotels as a whole seems to lag behind the Times when it comes to remodeling and improving their properties.

Clean and quiet. Larger updated room which was extremely comfortable. Probably the best bed I've had in this price range. Also the most friendly front desk attendant out of any hotel I've stayed at.

I went to go see Todd Bentley at a conference and it was quite amazing! The room looked pretty awesome. The glory of God fell and it was amazing!

Just a super quick stay while driving through, so no idea about all the amenities. But the room was clean, bed was cozy and the toiletries were nicer than average. Glad to have found a deal on hotel tonight.

Picked this hotel because it is pet friendly. They gave us a ground floor room with sliders out to the parking lot which was convenient when travelling with a dog. Bed and pillows were comfortable, the room clean and appointed as one expects of a hotel. The staff was friendly, and the complimentary breakfast, exceptional. No room service but there is a gym and a nice pool and Wi-Fi. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic! It was also very quiet. This was a first time traveling with our small dog and she did prefer to sleep in her kennel. I suspect she smelled what our human noses could not detect and felt "safer" in her home away from home. No regrets on our choice of Red Lion and the only reason for four stars is that it wasn't "perfect"… or in Paris.

The staff were super nice, I could book a two bed on the website because there was a deal on king bedroom but he changed my booking right after I asked him. The room was clean and very cozy design, the mangers of the hotel did there best to make it very clean & modern.

Booked 2 rooms with expedia when we arrived both rooms were dirty, beds, carpets, drapes and bathrooms were all dirty. There was spider webs and what looked like people had blown their nose on the walls with others stains? there was a ongoing fight in the parking lot with lots of yelling and cussing. In the room next to ours there was a fight or loud party with yelling and people banging on the walls. When the front desk was contacted regarding the problems we were told they could not help us since we had booked the rooms through expedia. We checked out due to our safety concerns and the dirty rooms. Expedia called the red lion and were told they would have to call back the next day for any help on refunds etc.

Lanina, Ron, Ilene, and staff did a terrific job accommodating The North Valley Property Owners Association for our rental housing expo. The facility was spacious and inviting. The staff were on top of every detail and easy to work with. It is refreshing to see staff get a long as a big family and work so well together as these folks did. We can't thank you enough for a job well done!

My wife and I stayed 1 nite then decided to stay another night. It was nice to be able to watch TV and rest. Cause we decided to also move here the days we stayed. Folks were nice as well.

A great hotel if you are traveling with pets. They only charge you 10 for a small dog and they have a great grass spot for your dogs just outside your balcony. Ask for a room on the ground floor level around the pool they have a sitting area/balcony with grass for your pup. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable with different pillows to meet your sleeping needs. A good place to stay while traveling I 5 or staying in Redding.

I stayed ay Red Lion on July 8th on the way home from Portland. The place was clean nice and great beds. I had left a brand new water bottle when I left which had sentimental value. I talked to a couple people and left a message for house cleaning to return my call. I was getting frustrated with no answer or call back. This morning I spoke with Jim in housekeeping who knew nothing of the situation however within 15 minutes he called me back and had found the water bottle and promptly said it would be in the mail. I just want to thank Jim for being such a good responsible employee. Hopefully he is acknowledged for his prompt and professional customer care. Once again Jim thank you for your concern.

I was up from the Bay Area to visit my son who's attending school up there; and wanted to stay in a nice clean hotel And Motel 6 wasn't on my list. I went on the Web on my phone and compared prices, reviews, and ratings. The Red Lion was my choice. The Woman at the front desk (whom I had spoken to earlier to confirm my reservations) was absolutely delightful and extremely helpful. The next time I'm in Redding I most definitely will be coming back to the Red Lion.

This hotel is very tidy and sanitary. Provisions such as free internet connection and breakfast were very good in all respects. The price is pretty good so overall; this is a nice place to stay.

Great place to stay. They have a great policy for dogs. Good halfway point between LA and Seattle. Last In-n-Out going north around the corner.

Always a great experience. We frequently stay at this hotel because the staff is always friendly, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are good sized and clean. Highly recommend the breakfast too, we always look forward to it.

My girlfriend and I got stuck in Redding because of car problems on our way down from Oregon. I signed up the for the red lion rewards program quickly and easily online on my phone from our repair shop then called the hotel and booked a room with the discount. Then they had karaoke in the hotel lobby restaurant that night which was tons of fun! The next day our car was not fixed until 5pm and even though we had checked out the nice ladies at the front desk offered to hold our luggage and let us hang out in the hotel. Then when the shuttle had left and was not due back for a while, one of the front desk girls personally gave us a lift to the mechanic and offered us a free night. All in all — great hotel, nice rooms, fun bar, clean, and really genuinely good people working there — thank you red lion.
