Ok, jutro to sleep somewhere close to yosemite. Lady responsible for breakfast waa super helpfull and nice.

The lodge is located in Fish Camp, on route 41. Quite easy to place on a map, and has facilities nearby too — a general store and gas station are less than 15 minutes away (each). We took one of the cabins and had quite a comfortable stay overnight. We also availed the complimentary breakfast. The only concern was the lack of information surrounding the heating system, which while present and functional (and shared with the AC) was unlabeled.

Very comfortable bed, very friendly staff, and clean, cozy rooms. There's not much happening in Fish Camp (population 200), so fresh waffles as part of the free breakfast was a nice treat. All in all, an exceptional value. Saved some money by parking just outside the Park gates (which is still an hour from the valley floor), which was also no big deal because I enjoy I ride in and out every time.

If you just want decent place to sleep and don't have any other expectations, this is the place. Comfy bed, very functional bath and shower.

Mitten in der Natur und sehr nah am Yosemite National Park gelegen. Zimmer ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, doch vollkommen ausreichend. Preis ist angemessen.

For the price, 4 out of 5. You have to think in terms of how much a hotel room costs anywhere near Yosemite (and CA in general) and look at the rates here (~$80) and it’s a great deal. Accommodations are similar to what you may find at a motel 6 (which those even run higher than here, in the low to mid $100’s these days). Again, for the price and closeness to Yosemite (and even tenaya lodge for maybe their restaurant for dinner, as overpriced as it is), I definitely recommend white chief lodge. If you are very particular about your hotels (wanting more than basic motel 6 type accommodations), by all means spend $300 a night and go stay at tenaya lodge/etc (and don’t go on here and write a bad review with your unreasonable expectations for a hotel under $100/night — you silly people). Also the staff are very friendly here. Recommended. We will be back.

Had reservation, called to confirm the day of for check-in time. They ONLY THEN let me know that they were closed due to having no water. No email, no phone call, nothing. If I had not called, I would have gotten to the middle of Yosemite with no where to stay. Unbelievably bad customer service. And to top it all off they were rude on the phone. Stay away from this establishment.

Close to Yosemite nice setting. Accommodations were dated but clean.

Good location just before the entrance to the park. Simple, comfortable rooms in the middle of the forest.

As we arrived late, we entered the room with the key they had reserved, and there was no contact with the staff. They were not used in public facilities because of the renovation of the restaurant. Back to the room, the bed, the trash cans are all good. All the while handing over the key to leave, no need to deal with them at all. I think it's good.

Ok for cheap motel, faced to forest, but rooms really small. We reserve room for 3 and it even have not table. Also gas heater is stinky and old. But their provide electric, so it is ok.

I've stayed here a couple of times and live it. It's conveniently located not far from the yosemite south entrance and not far from oakhurst. The staff have always been amazingly nice. I'll be stating here on an upcoming trip.

Very expensive for a room so simple and simple, and no breakfast. The bathroom is renovated but has a shower too small.

Small but cosy hotel on the woods just outside yosemite South entrance. It has just opened for the season so there were few guests. But a really nice place. The lady working the reception and restaurant was great fun. We enjoyed our stay. It was a bit cold and I'm sure it will be even better during the summer.

DO NOT GO HERE! Worst night of my life the only thing to do is walk on a trail with BAD water damage I barely was able to walk on the trail and room wise bathroom was horrible shower was torn up the lights had a delay and I ran out of toilet paper the toilet it's self was LOUD TV had 10 channels no hot tub no pool! breakfast was BAD just do not stay here.

Very nice facility. Staff was plesant if not a little short. Breakfast was a thrown together compilation of things that were premade. Cons: Cons: shower was falling apart physically. The water worked great though. Could here through walls like paper.

The room we had was clean and simple. Perfect for a place to sleep when you spend your days inside the park, but not suitable for anything else. Room had a mini fridge and microwave and the complimentary breakfast consisted of a small box of orange juice and a prepackaged muffin.

It is clean and the beds are great. We had a wonderful stay in Januari 2016. Near all the great places. The manager was very helpfull. Yvonne en Olyne from the Netherlands.

Best place we stayed at on our road trip! Met a man who worked their by the name of Ronny and he was an awesome guy, he took us sledding and was very helpful. The people are great who work here in general, we were given plenty of breakfast to start our mornings! We can't wait to go back and kick it with Ronny again!

Nice rooms with free Wi-Fi, fridge and microwave, and a nice hot shower after coming in out of the cold. It is at the top of a fairly steep drive, especially in the snow.

Don't book this place! I have booked it a day in advance and on the check in day, at 4 PM, I got an email from them that tells me they overbooked and they are sorry but they don't have room for us. When I called they said this was the management policy.

Stayed here out of necessity instead of choice, but it was well above our expectations. Place ended up being a little pricey at $172 for the 3 of us (we walked in at 11pm on 5th Jul). The room while small had everything we needed. It was very comfy and pretty clean. Definitely recommend it if places closer to Yosemite are booked out.

We spent one night in this hotel high price but very cheap hotel and no to good customer service. very bad customer service, our room was smell bad. we contact the office to replace our bedding but they told us we already change the bedding this morning. NOT RECOMMENDED IT! We strongly not prefer this Hotel to stay over night.

Do NOT stay at this hotel! The proximity to the park is great, but not worth it. The room is small and dingy. After spilling water on the floor, we put towels down to soak it up. The towels became filthy from the dirt of the carpet (disgusting! ). We stayed for 2 nights and maid service was never sent to our room despite putting the sign up for service please. The hotel charged us $40 for the "damaged" towels that were only damaged because of their filth and for the wet carpet. Do not waste your money. You will be much happier spending the extra money to stay at a nicer hotel.

A nice little place close to Yosemite and to the Town of Oakhurst. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is pretty good, too. I would definitely stay there again.

Fair price, clean and quiet rooms, breakfast isn't bad either. definitely a good starting point for every yosemite-expedition.

Simple, cozy place with clean rooms. Great price considering the propinquity to the park. Front desk girls were very helpful and pleasant. Their burgers are quite tasty too.

Although it's not cheap it is a great option if all the Yosemite Valley is people collapsed. Here we slept the night before the ascent to the Half Dome and it was worth it to make the tour rested. Recommended.

I booked a room on memorial day, I called them TWICE before going that I had a booking. When I actually arrived there, the management denied of any such record. It helps them because they don't have any online system of booking. If you are looking forward to joyful stay at Yosemite, don't go with White Chief lodge.

We spent the better part of a week at this family run establishment. Our room was in a secluded duplex cabin perched on a hillside overlooking a forest. There is an on-site restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food here is excellent. Beginning with our first lunch, we wanted more and in fact ate all but two meals here. The very best part of this place is the staff. From the time we checked in to the time we left, it felt like we were with family. Everyone is friendly, attentive, accommodating and every other pleasant adjective you can imagine. On the next trip to Yosemite, this is were we will be.
