Love it here. We have stayed several times and always have had a good experience. I did notice a few things that seemed to have been overlooked by staff and management. 1. Door to our cabin did not latch closed all the way. We left for entire day leaving our belongings inside the cabin with door unlocked. The strike plate was loose and not installed with correct screws. Called front desk and engineering dept. Came pretty quickly to repair. 2. When ordering food. Instructions provided in the hotel room say, to pick up land line phone inside cabin and dial extension to desired dept. But phone literally does nothing. No tone. No indication it works at all. so we used cell phone to call front desk. We are then given a several prompts. Dining being number 2. So I pressed 2. Conceirge answers. I explain I am trying reach restaraunt. Conceirge seems annoyed. Transfers me to deli. Deli transfers me to jackalopes. No answer. i then call front desk (which is Last prompt) and he explains they dont do pick up ordwrs after on but can dine-in until 10. So heads up. 3. This is a small complaint but more of a curiosity. Game room is an awesome amenity to have. Especially the first night after traveling with kids. However; it is interesting they provided some cool table and arcade style games but most were non-working.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful at any time very comfortable and relaxing!

I’m here to say that I HIGHLY recommend the Tenaya Lodge if you are planning a trip to Yosemite. The hotel is super kid friendly, has a super fun game room with free games, an indoor pool that plays a kids movie on the wall every night at 6, a pizza place, s’mores kits, archery 🏹, and a rock climbing wall. ✨ special shout out to Katrina who works in the restaurants, she was so amazing both at the Pizzeria and Jackalopes, she went above and beyond every time we dined and she was there to make us feel super special.

We had an AWESOME time. Gotta extend one more night. And the staff were great! Special shout out to Paul from the reception and Britney at Jackalope's 😍

Wonderful and friendly services provided by the hotel staff. Short drive to South Entrance. The room was cozy, clean and comfortable bed. The restaurant servers were very accommodating to our requests for food substitution. We were very satisfied with the portion and quality of the meals served. We will come back.

Wonderful and spacious cabins. Helpful staff and the lodge is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend this place to stay, I know I would come here again when I come back to visit.

It was our first time staying at Tenaya Lodge. We loved it. It’s beautiful. The service was great. We had a wonderful time. Looking forward to coming back again.

Great customer service and amenities.

Our first trip to Tenaya didn’t disappoint. Two snow play areas for the kids, fantastic concierge and dining staff and minutes from Yosemite South Gate and the iconic Mariposa Grove. Be sure to stop by the bar at Jackalope’s and get an after dinner Peanut Brittle, trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

It was a great resort. We stayed at the Explorer Cabins only wished the Explorer Clubhouse was opened.

We stayed in one of the cabins. We enjoyed our stay very much. Totally recommend it.

Wonderful place to stay. We went into the park everyday and it was nice to come back to a beautiful hotel. The food could expand the menu some. The filet minor is excellent. We had a great waitress, Sarah.

The decor is fantastic, and welcoming. We stayed in room 396. It was so warm and cosy, The view was awesome. Looking around, there are plenty of things to do for all ages.

It is a Beautiful hotel w nice gift shop, spa, restaurants and a deli. Rooms are very nice. Everyone working here is so very friendly, attentive and we were treated so well! The Tenaya Lodge was a great experience! ❤️

The staff was incredible, they were knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. The lodge is every bit as beautiful as the pictures on their website, and they have lots of activities on and around their grounds.

Great overnight stay! Lots of kids and families in the pool, but plenty of area’s for a quiet and relaxing time amidst the beautiful trees! Added to that, fantastic meals and wait service for both dinner and breakfast.

It's an incredible Lodge. Beautiful rooms, perfect service with heart. Delicious food in the restaurant. Definitely worth to stay and enjoy.

This a great place for people that want to be in between camping and luxury hotels. Rooms are super clean and it's great for bikers because you park your bike right in front of the door, motel like. Another great feature is that it's only one hour to the Yosemite valley and less to the glacier point. Friendly people, early breakfast. I recommend it. Also the pics that they have online are way worse than what the place is, so go for it if you are not luxury picky.

I am hit or miss with Tenaya Lodge. It's pretty pricey, especially the food, and it feels like it wants to be it's own destination. While I understand that mentality, it's convenience to Yosemite is the draw. Not dropping over hundred dollars a night on dinner, and half that for lunch. Granted they have a little store with great pre-made salads and sandwiches, but it was still about fifty dollars to get a meal for two from there. So it gets 3 stars from me, however I've stayed there multiple times and I will more than likely be going back again, but I would forward think your food choices.

Nice place. Pretty big. I had to do a lot of walking just to get to and from the room from the main entrance, but they do have aide doors. Mini fridge is a half size in the room I was in. Good size room. Very nice bathrooms. Back balcony has a pretty view of the treeline.

Very impressive place … very impressed with facilities and the cottages! Lovely views and a great place to get away from the busy city and explore the park! Highly recommended for families and couples. Only thing I had reservations about was how we kept getting treated like thieves/con artist at every turn… its very much baked into the dealing of staff … they keep reminding you that you aren't to be trusted? I don't know what it is but the feeling stayed with us during the whole stay. Things like paying extra to share plates at the restaurant, numerous notices around the property, the way they collect payment etc.

This lodge was fabulous for our honeymoon! The staff treated you like an old friend. Shirley in the spa is wonderful as well as front desk staff and restaurant staff. Love the all-inclusive accommodations and the concierge helped us plan our week! The gift shop was great including the staff. Pat the tour guide was great too, highly recommend the all day yosemite tour. Cannot say enough good things, we will be back!

Nice grounds, — noisy though, rooms not well insulated so you can hear every thing around you. They did change our room from being next to the Brady Bunch to a quieter room intended for people with pets, which is pretty funny. Very kid and pet friendly which amplifies the lack of insulation problem. Also extra charges for everything, despite the "resort fee". Lastly not many choices to eat in area so you are locked in to the overpriced hotel restaurants. I would not recommend for couples without children/pets as not much privacy and noisy.

We were there this past weekend and had an amazing experience! The food was very good definitely enough on one plate to feed 2 for most dishes. The hike was fun and a good way to get some exercise in while there. The ice rink was cute and intimate. A lot of things were closed during the “off” season while we were visiting but the rooms were comfortable. I was pleased and impressed with the wonderful friendly staff and very clean rooms! My only wish was if we stayed longer than just the weekend! Thank you for the experience we will return! I should mention that our hike guide was awesome and our waiter was amazing we did have one instances in which the Ac went out in the room put the shift manager offered us a different room and a free meal for four person other than that our experience was pretty great!

The hotel is nicely designed. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. I like that there's a lot of swimming pools for the kids to enjoy. There are lots of activities for the kids like rock climbing, bike riding and outdoor movie watching. The restaurants inside the hotel are kind of overpriced for the quality of food you're getting though. Overall, I loved my stay here.

Nice rooms, good food and semi close to Yosemite Village. Second best option to staying in Yosemite itself. We live close enough to Yosemite to day-trip it any time we want but if we didn't, I'd definitely stay here instead of in the park in good weather. My experience staying here is from before we moved closer. Now it's a food and drink destination for us. Very enjoyable for that.

Nice hotel given the location. Their outdoor areas are pretty and would be fun to spend time in. The bedroom was okay, but the sink were outside and the bathroom door was a sliding door that didn't totally close which was weird. We had breakfast downstairs which was good but finding service was difficult.

We stayed here April 2018. Was a little more on the expensive side, but was very nice. Rooms were updated. Food was great. I loved being able to sit outside and have dinner by the bonfire. Was located just outside of the official gates to Yosemite National Park. There was a guest that pulled the fire alarm multiple times, however, was taken care of in a fast manner and a typed letter was placed under the door for explanation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were well appointed. Good amenities too, great pools both indoor and outdoor, with adults only areas away from the kids which was a nice touch. Would definitely bring my family back here again.

Wonderful venue for our annual retreat. We used the hotel's Confrence rooms, catering service (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), rooms, and pool/spa. Highly satisfactory staff and management. No complaints. I would recommend for any group event (ours was over 50 people). We will be coming back again!

Just returned home from an amazing vacation & we had the pleasure of calling Tenaya Lodge our home for 4 nights! The lodge in itself was amazing on top of the great service by all the staff! I highly recommend Tenaya Lodge as a great place to stay if your visiting Yosemite & the surrounding area!

Nice place, comfortable beds, indoor and outdoor pool. Good food, a little overpriced for what you get. The burgers are the best value and very good! Take some time and rent the bikes to go see the waterfall. It's about 6 miles round trip most of its on a well maintained dirt road. The path off the dirt road is good enough for bikes too so no walking needed if you don't want to. They also have a tesla charging station in their parking lot.

The motel is nice clean. The grounds are well maintained. Great place to stay in the summer and more fun in the winter when there's snow. Lots of activities. However, the restaurant is another matter. The food is expensive but ud expect that from a mountain resort. The food comes out cold, even when they aren't busy. The servers would rather chat amongst themselves then pay attention to their tables. I had to to go to the bar to get water refills. The beer was like warm, I had to add ice cubes to chill it.

My wife and I the weekend of the 12 to the 18 of March we had a reservation with them, but we had problems with the snow to get to the Hotel, fell a nevada tremendous fair that day and previously the same week it had been snowing, so we could not reach with the car, previously we requested strings in the company of the rental car, but did not give. We contacted the Hotel to inform that the road was impassable and that we could not get (the cars not passing by the road, except 4x4 with chains). His response was literally 'sorry, buy some strings and go up, here is snowing a lot, if not lose the night'. We went to several gas stations in the county of Oakhurts, but to the extent of the wheel that we had NOT HAD, so it was IMPOSSIBLE to CLIMB. We asked the operators of the gas stations and they told us that 'even with chains, it would be very difficult to reach because of the strong week of snow that they have had'. We inform you the Hotel and his answer was 'Bad luck, you lost the night'. We call to the Emergency services of our travel agency, attaching screenshots of the state of the road that indicated on the website of the national park of Yosemite to claim that night, it seems to me incredible how bad that acting out the Hotel, knowing that I esque not want to go to, esque we all couldn'T ACCESS THE HOTEL, and above all by refusing to return the amount. A shame overall, DISAPPOINTED, very disappointed. Do you intend to ride in airplane?

Great location with a selection of restaurants. Rooms are lovely and clean with good beds and facilities. We also used the spa which was great. Very helpful and friendly staff. Valet parking is free… just pay then a tip.

This is the perfect place to stay for visiting Yosemite. You’re only minutes away from the gate to the park. Unfortunately, we traveled during a time of a tough storm… so sight seeing was hampered… there was plenty to do at the resort. The staff bends over backwards making sure you are happy. We had a few minor problems with one of our rooms and were comp’ed buffet breakfasts for each day there. That was appreciated… I would definitely stay there again in a heartbeat…

The rooms have come in the years and also a little musty but clean. The location near the park entrance is great. The food in the hotel was great but the price, as well as for the overnight stay too high.

We have stayed twice, both visits were wonderful. Our massages at the spa were perfect. The spa area itself is calm and a great place to get away, I could have stayed there for hours. Both visits were in winter, we traveled into Yosemite so the only Tenaya activity we did was ice skate, we had the rink mostly to ourselves. Great food and staff. Very dog friendly and the dog friendly rooms seem to be on the first floor with a slider out to the grass/snow. I highly recommend Tenaya Lodge.

Great stay at this resort at the gates of Yosemite. Blocked by the snow, we found a room here is the staff were especially kind in meeting us in the emergency! Very nice and comfortable room Only regret is not having fully exploited the hotel services: we will return!

It is a quiet place and very safe and family fun.

Super clean and updated. Amazing spot for families. There was lots of amenities for the winter months. Ice skating, heated indoor pool, snow shoeing, and arcade to name a few. There is also a small little sledding hill. It's a big place with lots of room to walk about. I would definitely recommend and will be back.

The lodge was very nice. Awesome location as well. The problem I had was how they pushed their tours and how misleading they were. They told us that chains were required to go into the park. They made it seem like you needed a monster truck to be allowed entrance into the park. After my own research I found out all you needed was tires rated for mud and snow, which are any all season tires. Federal law requires you to carry chains in case the restriction changed while you were inside the park during winter months. They sold the tour of the national park at 125 per person and stated the $30.00 park fee was included in the cost. I was never charged a fee at the gate to the park. I bought my own chains thinking you absolutely needed them or else you wouldn’t be allowed entry. After my own investigation, I found out what the restrictions exactly stated and what they meant. I bought the chains for 170 from the lodge and returned them because I did not use them. They charged me a $15.00 restocking fee. They advised me to keep them because it was supposed to snow even after I told them I was leaving the lodge in 10 minutes and they said just in case lol. Very misleading, I saved myself a lot of money. Chains required R1 rating only means you need all season tires. Also, the food is crazy expensive. Nothing is complementary. 16 bucks to take a walking hike at night per person.

Tenaya Lodge is a beautiful hotel just 2 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. Room was nicely decorated and the grounds were well kept. We are looking forward to another visit.

Excellent place, very close to the Yosemite park and very good facilities. 10 minutes from the entrance gate of the park and 40 minutes from the Great Captain.

Fantastic! My wife booked us here for our 35th anniversary. Couldn't have been better! The room (222) was clean, the staff were all friendly, professional and accommodating, and the facility is a winter wonderland. Remember the lodge in "White Christmas? " Exactly… Oh and don't miss the couples massage… It was so relaxing, therapeutic and worth every penny. Raymond and Dani we're pros. We'll be back!

Staff and hotel were awesome! Beautiful hotel that does carriage rides. Also very festive! Pool was closed due to the weather but not surprised. Amazing place with cool gift shop. Ended up buying some souvenirs including two Sequoia trees to grow.

It was an excellent experience. The swimming pool and the recreation facilities were good. That's a great place for pets!

A nice Christmas holiday break at Tenaya Lodge. It was full of great atmosphere and good seasonal cheer. The food was ok but not great so only 4 stars. We were two adults on holiday but I think the Lodge would be perfect for a family with kids — lots of interesting activities to do.

We went for an overnight to celebrate my daughter's 25th birthday. We have been there often to eat or for a day event but have never stayed overnight. I decided to read the reviews the night before, then was wishing I hadn't. Our stay, fortunately was nothing but excellent, we were upgraded (at Christmas) included breakfast and had a cozy room at the end of the East wing. The hotel was full and very busy but we were seated quickly for dinner in the Sierra Room, right by the fireplace, our server, Jake was super attentive and helpful with the menu and wine list. Our meal was awesome! After dinner we sat in the holiday decorated lobby and listened to Allison playing piano and singing holiday songs. The resort was so festive. Just what I was hoping for. Our breakfast server James brought a fabulous birthday dessert out to my daughter! I can confirm some disappointments of others, the walls are thin, not insurmountable, housekeeping barely taps with their key card, they walked twice, this should be addressed, we were all dressed (the little card thingy that says do not disturb doesn't hang well on the knob) and, yes, there are a lot of additional fees and taxes on checkout, be prepared. I was addressed by name whenever possible and always asked if there was anything else they could do for us. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I know we did.

Unhappy staff volunteered complaints about their management. Toilet in room was unflushed with black mold under bowl rim. Our shower would turn on when the neighbors took a shower. Paper thin walls let you hear every other guest. Dogs inside hotel barked all night. Below average rooms at above average prices. Food was very good tho.

Beautiful hotel/resort. Hotel staff very friendly, they charged us twice by mistake (we booked & paid online ahead of time and then they charged us again upon checking out), but they resolved the issue a few days later. The room was very large and comfortable. Excellent location and a short drive to one of the main entrances to Yosemite National Park. We arrived later at night, so the drive in the dark was a bit daunting but fine. We ate at the restaurant there, Jackalope's Bar & Grill, it was outstanding food. Highly recommend staying & dining here! They also have a cafe/shop which has sandwiches, bagels, muffins, coffee, trail mix, etc perfect to stock up on a few items if you're heading to Yosemite for the day like we were. Fire pits outside are great as well. Overall one of our favourite stops during our California vacation, would love to go back one day!

We stayed at Tenaya Lodge for the last night of our anniversary Yosemite trip; it's truly a beautiful place with very friendly, helpful staff. Our room was very cozy and the bath/shower were perfect for a nice soak after a long intense hike. We chose archery as our activity while there and it was an immense amount of competitive fun. We had so much fun that We decided to take archery lessons at home! We will definetly be coming back here next year for our Yosemite trip!

Majestic views, wonderful staff and service. Beds are very firm. Hotel staff is very accommodating. The pricing of the rooms is the major downside. Jackalope Bar and Grill food is very good, large portions with a large price. Salads $15-18. $3.00 kettle chip basket is a delicious bargain.

Were 2 days there, Hotel ok, A bit dated (especially indoor POOL) food average, price Performance not Justified. Very attentive and kulanter manager. Negative is the long distance to Yosemite Park.

Excellent place to stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The food was good but a little over priced and we were not terribly far from the sites to visit inside the park. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Great hotel and location. Rooms are clean and of decent size, and the lobby has a welcoming feeling. The only issue is that their coffee shop/ market is overpriced (125ml/ half a quart of milk was $2)

Very nice resort, great starting point for Yosemite Tours. There was one night, two would have been perfect.

This is our second time here coming from the northeast. We had a slight mix up with room assignment but the Manager On Duty, Charles Gallo, went well out of his way to make sure we receive the room we expected. He personally walked us to our room and arranged for our luggage to be brought to us. That made our stay so much more pleasurable. I would recommend Tenaya Lodge to anyone visiting Yosemite Park.

The place was BEAUTIFUL! I was greeted by a scenic drive and the rooms were spacious. Our neighbour gave us a grill so we had a fantastic cookout. Ended the night with smores and star gazing.

Love all of the pools and hot tubs. Restaurant is decent but pricey. Rooms are large and very clean. Hiking trails are great. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. We got a killer deal on our 2 queen room, management will hook you up if you ask.

Very nice hotel with a flair that you won't forget.

The location of the hotel is convenient from South Bay with only 3.5hr drive. The rooms are neat and remodeled, but little smaller. The restaurants at the premise offer good dining options. Hotel is dog friendly, so that's plus for pet owners. Though there's not much outdoor for pets to talk walk with. Overall it's a above average hotel in general, but one of the best options around Yosemite.

Very high quality hotel. Friendly employees, updated rooms, great accommodations. We noticed several small things that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Indoor pool with late hours, complementary robes for our stay, valet service, high flow shower heads, full length mirror in room… etc. Hotel is only a 45 minute drive from Yosemite valley, 30 minutes away from Oakhurst which has restaurants and stores if you need anything on your trip. Would definitely recommend.

Not to be visited in winter.

The impression of the hotel when you arrive is exciting. Everything in wood and it looks so great that one day is not enough x visit it. In fact you realize that it is all at your fingertips. 3 Restaurants with poor rating. 2 pools out nice with sunbeds and water games in poor voting
. Sauna and steam bath in the respective changing rooms for men and women. A shop and concierge that will trim you excursions of all kinds. Great rooms. The location also. You're in the woods. Nice to stop a few days x savor beautiful walks in montambike or on horseback (near them), a good book and so much relaxation.

This is a tourist trap. They just want your money. Cabin was in very poor shape. Holes and stains in furniture and carpet. Door knob almost falling off of door. Dinner left under a heat lamp long enough to become salmon Jerky. Mashed potatoes very rubbery. Breakfast fruit old. Egg omelet made one person in our party very sick after eating. Breakfast waiter rude. Told manager. Manager more interested in making sure we paid for breakfast than the wellbeing of our sick party member. Will never stay there again. Recommend you don't either.

The main lodge is impressive and has all the facilities one could ask for. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For the money I think it was a little expensive for the packages that were included.

Overall a nice place. Has an indoor and outdoor pool and hot hub, along with a sauna, steam room, arcade, restaurants, bar… Rooms are mostly nice. The cottages even have behind-glass gas fireplaces. Only complaint was the incredibly loud bathroom fan.

Spent two nights at Tenaya Lodge and really enjoyed it. There's a nice hike/bike ride to nearby waterfalls, and the lodge amenities are great. Room was very comfortable and nicely appointed.

One of the nicer lodges in the yosemite area. Good heating, nice heated pool and spa. Though they charge an extra $15 per night after you check in. I stayed in the cottage, seemed like a regular clean room, they exaggerate on the 4 diamond thing.

Wow, what a gem of a place. Truly beautiful in the most perfect setting, and the staff are some of the most helpful and friendly we have come across. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and luxurious. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

Beds were terrible. We were in the honeymoon sweet and it was IKEA sheek. Looked nice but very cheap. No fan in bathroom. Alot of bad stuff.

Had a great time at this lodge. The place was well kept and the room we were in was really nice. The restaurant within is a bit pricey. When we went, it wasn't too busy, but it seemed to take a bit to for someone to serve us. We did the 30 minute archery lesson which was pretty fun. Our fingers and arms were getting tired toward the end so 30 minutes is about the right amount of time. The lodge itself is obviously surrounded by forest. Probably the best part about this stay was the absolutely stunning scenery. There are many trails surrounding the area. We went for a short 30 minute walk around and found some snow to play in for a while before we headed back. As for the other services, we were unfortunately not able to make use of the pool/spa/sauna and gym as we were there for a wedding (which turned out to be awesome! ) and didn't have time for much else. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

We stayed in the birch cottage. There was alot of hair on the bed comfortor and decorative pillows. Other than that the room was nice. The staff are very friendly. I feel the restaurant was a bit under staffed. The waitress forgot to bring me a beverage after I asked for a few samples. I dont blame her because she had a lot of guests to accomodate to.

Tenaya certainly enjoyed its strategic location being just 5 mins from southgate to Yosemite. The only other lodging option without "roughing" it would be Ahwahnee and that too has slide in recent years, with changing hands of its management operation. That said, the hotel facility check all the boxes for a world-class national park. It offers full bar, casual and formal dining, pizza joint, spa, heated pools, snow sled area in winter and ice skating rink. Some rooms even have jacuzzi. Checking the boxes is what they do well, but in all my visits (6 in the last 16 years) the service, staffing and food are nothing to be desired. It seems that to keep cost low, they hire local teenage kids who are just looking for a quick buck. On food, they practice price gouging that would shame amusement parks. I don't mind spending more on holidays esp considering how remote you are. However, the quality and sanitary of cooking here is questionable. Like I said above, they enjoyed being the only "better" lodging option that they pull no effort for their guests.

The location is perfect for families with small kids as we were able to walk to several snow play areas on the property. The hotel itself is lovely if you want to stay indoors with restaurants and heated indoor pools and spas. Our favorite part was playing in the snow! The rooms are beautiful as well and the beds are warm and comfy!

Not worth 300 dollars a night. Very nice rooms, but I had a few issues with the service. There was a very uncomfortable and unfriendly hostess at the restaurant which only said, "30-45 minutes, " not even a hello and looked at me like I just kicked her dog. I have met nicer people at the chow halls on Army bases nicer than her. So I drove down to Oakhurst to eat, and I recieved better service and a table as soon as I put my name down. Then the shower drain wouldn't flow properly, so the entire time I was showering, I was standing in about 4 inches of my own rinsed off filth. When I told them about the shower, all they had to say was "Sorry, hope you come back. " Yeah, I'll skip on another stay. Hope everyone's stay at the Tenaya Lodge was a little more smooth than mine!

This is a great hotel. The hotel stands in the forest of Yosemite National Park, it offers outdoor experience of the environment. Very clean, friendly staff and welcoming ceremony feels very sincere. I think that most of the guests here because visiting Yosemite. From parts of El Capitan Park about 15 minutes away.

We came for Thanksgiving and were very pleased. Other reviews mention paper thin walls, but that was not the case. Perhaps there was a recent remodel, we stayed in a very quite good sized room on the third floor. Good for a family with 2 little children. It snowed while we were here which made it all the more special. The complementary valet also put our chains on our car so we could drive down to Yosemite Valley about an hours drive. This is a great winter hotel for kids as there is lots to do, an indoor pool, arcade, ice rink, sledding, and hikes. The breakfast buffet was decent, but kids 3 and under can eat from your plate so it saves money. We actually went elsewhere for thanksgiving dinner, so I am unsure on how that is. I would recommend this hotel.

Great lodging experience. Only downside was the food at all the restaurants was WAY too expensive for the quality of the food. We had to eat outside the lodge in the nearest town to have a great meal and a reasonable price. Tomato soup and grilled cheese for $16.95? Really.

Great hotel with a professional team that knows about delivering service. The two restaurants are both good, I do recommend the bar restaurant. The total experience gives a big smile on my face, would like to return or recommend it to friends. If I have to give one tip; make sure rooms are ready if guests arrive after 3pm. Maybe a free drink would be appropriate if you let guests wait.

It's actually just south of the park. Matches the AAA 4 Diamonds ratings fairly well — a solid lodging option that delivers Yosemite's rustic charms.

We spent 2 nights here and were constantly woken up in the night and early morning by kids running through the halls, drunks laughing outside their doors and the racket of people getting in and out of the elevator (our room was literally 8 feet from the main elevators and it was horribly loud all the time). The hotel and the staff were excellent, and we are happy with everyone we talked to during our stay. The other guests however, were quite rude. Everyone seemed to think they were royalty and had no respect for anyone else. We were there to climb in Yosemite and chose this lodge as a refreshing upgrade to a few of the other more dated hotels we had stayed at on a 3 week trip across the west. Overall, we had better experiences and memories from the much, much more friendly and respectful people that we met in the less expensive places.

This was a wonderful experience for my family. We stayed at this hotel during Thanksgiving weekend to attend a wedding that also took place at the hotel. This had a beautiful view all around. Our kids enjoyed it. I wished the room service was 24hours though, because on Friday night, the restaurant inside closed early. Luckily, the waitress was kind enough to let us purchase from their deli. I also think the menue was very expensive. The kids enjoyed the buffet, but it was expensive.

My wife and I just stayed their as part of our honeymoon. Location is prefect for checking out the park. Room was great. Staff was very nice and helpful. Restaurants were ok. I would definitely go back.

To Whom it May Concern: On September 1st, 2014 my husband and I checked into the Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp, just south of Yosemite National Park. We were not impressed to say the least. I understand that the location of the lodge raises the prices on the stay as well as the meals and drinks, however my expectations were not met. We stayed in the cottages off to the right of lodge rather than in the main location. They were very cute, quaint, and secluded. The bed was rock hard and our air conditioner could not be programmed to fit our comfort level therefore in the middle of the night we woke up in a dead sweat and at it took at least 30 mins before it was comfortable again. I’ve stayed at more comfortable and better service oriented Motel 6’s for a lot less money. We had dinner at the Sierra restaurant, slightly lower in pricing than the Embers directly next door. Our service was great, thank you to Cody and Cameron. We also chose to have breakfast at the Sierra Restaurant the following morning. Big mistake. It tasted as if it came from the frozen food section, the best part was the burnt wheat toast. The sausage was not warm, my eggs were over easy instead of over medium and it took two requests for some creamer rather than half and half for my tasteless coffee. The amount of money that we spent on our breakfast would have bought us enough food for a week yet tasted worse than if we had eaten at a Denny’s (no offense to Denny’s).

This place is AMAZING! I don't know why other reviews are not all 5 star? Possibly because they didn't get to stay in the recently renovated rooms on the lower floor? If we were stuck in one of the old rooms I might not be as happy but after taking one look at the outdated rooms I spoke with someone at the front desk and she upgraded is to the renovated room complimentary. The staff is so incredibly nice! EVERY person we've come into contact with here has been over-the-top accommodating of our every need. From the mention you get here you have complimentary valet greeting you to take your bags and park your car. The whole check in process was so smooth and immediately made me feel like I was getting 5 star treatment. Just be sure to ask for a renovated room because I couldn't imagine paying this price for the outdated rooms. We're also right next to the south entrance of the park which makes it only a 15 minute drive to the mariposa grove (giant sequoia park! ) obviously I could go on and on! (;.

My husband and I came for a two night stay. He was excited to show me the lodge, as he had stayed there several years prior. However, our stay was not as enjoyable as could be due to the service that was provided by the bar and restaurant staff and management. My husband had this issue on his first trip to Tenaya, but was willing to give it a second chance. The servers did not seem very willing to serve us. They were late serving all of our meals, all the while attending to other tables promptly and efficiently. We had dinner at the Jackalope Bar, and our server was Bryant. From sitting down to being served our meals, it took 45 minutes. On our last day, we had the buffet breakfast, and his name was Josh. During breakfast, we ordered coffee, orange juice, and iced water. He didn't bring us our coffee, but brought it to every other table around us. Upon checkout we asked to speak to the restaurant manager, Terri Grey. She took down our information with lack of concern, seemed to brush the issue aside, and only offered free food, and apologized. Free food and an apology doesn't resolve the issue. She took down our contact information and said that someone would be in contact, and we have yet to receive a call. My husband's job includes providing excellent customer service, in a very high impact and stressful environment, so he knows what to expect from a lodge when on vacation.

No is the rrecomiendo are very professional and very susios in the kitchen also too expensive the poor service.
