Pleasantly surprised. It's a relatively old building, but the room was nicely decorated. Big balcony with a distant view of the ocean. Traffic is a little loud but didn't wake me up. Price is high because it's walking distance to the beach (15 min), which makes it more valuable. Decent breakfast… Hot and cold items. I'll stay here again in the future.

Customer service was great but I think the amenities could have been better for the price you pay. Be aware that part of its listing on Google Maps says it has indoor and outdoor pools but there are none. Breakfast was great. A little over $10 for parking is not bad for the area.

Very nice management and accommodating. We have a great room on the 3rd floor. The room is a suite and very large with a full balcony facing the Pacific ocean.

Love this place. Have stayed here several times on business trips — very comfortable, clean, friendly service. Right on PCH, walking distance to beach, restaurants, grocery stores. Could not recommend more!

The guy Riz at the front desk is rude and not very accommodating! So many other choices in the area that actually appreciate your business. As I read other reviews seems I am not the only one! Riz you should be fired!

Good location, clean and fresh room, balcony with a good view, plenty of power outlets 110v and usb to charge devices something that's often forgotten in hotels.

Had a horrible experience with a very rude front desk manager. Had an issue and requested to speak with a manager. He refused my request to contact the manager and instead called the POLICE! The POLICE! Can you imagine someone in the service industry calling the police on a guest who has been a loyal life long Hilton Honors Diamond/Gold member?! I am Waiting for a resolution to this very unfortunate incident but Hilton may have lost my business!

Nice location & beautiful hotel but, PAPER THIN WALLS/CEILING and can hear conversation from the side and even the rooms above/below! Ugh! At 1:30am, I was annoyed by the loud conversation and waited 10 mins to finally get up and stepped out the balcony & the guests right beneath of my room were talking loud at the balcony. They were so loud that the front desk agent was also showed up. After I complained, they got inside the room but the noise continued so I had to call the front desk. It took 30 mins to finally become quiet at 2am. Next morning, the housekeeper knocked on the door at 11am & also the front desk called me & told me they shut off the water/shower to fix the pipe. Overall, my stay wasn’t as relaxed as I expected. PAPER THIN WALLS/CEILING and can hear conversation from the side and even the rooms above/below! Unlike other Hampton, they don’t have washer/dryer machines on site. The gym is tiny & they don’t have a yoga mattress. They also charged me for the parking fee even I told them I don’t have a car upon checking in.

Recently renovated. Great rooms. Decent breakfast. Gym is below average and is in a converted guest room on the 2nd floor. Walking distance to the beach and restaurant.

I am a Hampton guy to the core and it's always a reliable go-to when traveling. I have stayed at dozens (Hampt's) across the country and this was one of the nicest, tho I heard it was newly remodeled. Great service, decent price, sweet location and nice rooms… save for a slow sink drain this place was all aces!

The first night I got here, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They helped welcome me to the area and showed me some things to do. The rooms are updated and have a view of the ocean. I needed to add an extra night to my stay and the staff made it really easy.

Great place! Great price! Everyone is very friendly. Despite our last minute booking we had a great room. The breakfast was good too. It's only a few minutes walk to the beach, restaurants and grocery stores.

Hi here at the Hampton Suites~ Hilton. Very comfortable place to stay in Hermosa Beach (and the other one nearby in El Segundo? too/a lot bigger). Anyway, this one: budget price, on daily rates flux, nice, small, have nice lil balcony's with the rooms, the rooms almost styled like= contemporary Beverly Hills bungalow luxury, the usual breakfast, a snack n toiletries mini store, coffee n tea on all day in downstairs lounge/s, where the microwave is (not in the rooms? ). No pool but beach x the street. Near the airport. Can smoke in designated area in NO smoking in public Hermosa's (I read also in Manhattan Beach too) recent law. Its totally a police state feeling here at the South Bay. Not all hotels in Hermosa are cool like that. Don't know how the State law overrules or not? A hotel front desk person said, "technically, State law (overrules) does" … I really like the design/ decor, the subdued color and contemporary mod lobby in this one too. Enjoy!

Most rooms on the upper floors have a nice view of the water. The staff are accommodating. The rooms are nice and recently updated. Parking is pretty tight, and there's a bit of road noise audible in the rooms.

Everything he was just as expected which made for a smooth trip. The staff at the front desk were funny and fast, the room smelled great and had an incredible view of the beach, the food served at breakfast was fresh and not overcooked, and the chocolate chip cookies they are known for were always available and delicious. If I come back to Hermosa Beach I'll stay here again.

Decent enough hotel. In just the right location. Parking lot is too small. Room rates are a bit high.

Such a friendly staff, amazing breakfast everyday, and a beautiful place to stay. I have attached our view from our room! The walk to the beach is fun, filled with quaint shops, and neat little restaurants. We ran the beach everyday it's a little over two miles to Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach has equally the same.

It was a beautiful establishment. The staff was friendly and very mindful. We were able to book a late checkout time of 2pm which allowed us to lay in bed and enjoy the ocean breeze. It was a great start to hot summer morning.

Very clean hotel. Kind staff. We had to do a very late check-in after a long drive, and the man at the check-in desk was very personable and tended to our specific needs. The room was extremely clean. In fact, it looked like it had recently been remodeled and upgraded. The beds were very comfortable. We couldn't have been more pleased. The breakfast was adequate. There was a wide selection of food to choose from. We especially liked the waffle bar with different syrup toppings.

Great place to stay with great upper floor views of the Pacific ocean! Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast is decent. The rooms have been remodeled and are excellent. Note: as of 4/2/17 there is renovation going on on the 3rd floor. Quite a bit of daytime noise and traffic from construction with a large dumpster and lift truck taking up space in an already limited parking lot but that won't last forever. No separation from the busy traffic noise on the Pacific Coast Highway is the only downside to staying here.

Very quick visit but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower head was amazing. High flow and very refreshing.

It has a Little dated interiors but great location near Hermosa Beach Pier area and very nice lobby area. Only one slow elevator tho for the entire property can be a pain.

Overall good stay… great breakfast and clean. Service was fantastic. The only complant about the room is the bed was a bit old and hard. Big bathrooms. One elevator for the hotel got annoying in the morning. Would go back.

Great location, friendly staff, ocean view with balcony, walking distance to 24hr fitness, many food options and the beach. Ricky at the front desk always makes sure Im taken care of. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else while Im in the area.

Rick and Janet are the best! We love our stay at the hotel last weekend. They really take care of us… our room was very clean. Rick y Janet fueron muy amables. Nuestra estadia en el hotel fue muy agradable. El cuarto estaba perfectamente limpio. Gracias!

My family and I decided to stay here after having a not so great experience with a best western close by. the whole thing was much much better then the other hotel, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is good (get the pastries and muffins). The internet is decent although the login system is kinda annoying. The staff are all polite and the location is great. I would probably stay here again if I was in the area.

I was very satisfied with this Hampton Inn, so much so that I booked a second night. Great location — very close to LAX and close to fantastic restaurants and cafes on Pier Ave. Rooms facing the front are a bit loud as the road is quite busy (at least mine was), and I can see how parking might be insufficient on the busiest days, but I had a great experience. I hope to go back soon.

This Hampton Inn was okay. The staff was friendly the rooms were clean, but I have stayed in better Hampton Inns. The breakfast selections were average and the amenities were average. I enjoy the Hamtpn Inns with more breakfast selections, the smell of fresh baked cookies in the evenings with milk, and a larger selection of snacks for purchase. The location of this Hampton Inn is fantastic. Close to the beach, the airport and many attractions. I have stayed at other Hampton Inns that I would rate as 5 star. Sorry not this one.

I would advise against this, as the price for this hotel makes this hotel not even close to being worth it. Manager had an attitude, breakfast was old, parking was too limited and packed so you will get door dings, and house keeping kept coming back at 3pm even though I told them I would be in my room by then, for 5 days in a row.
