Need more toilet paper. Need to defrost the mini fridge as there is a thick buildup of ice… no space to put even one bottled water. Room smelled like the previous guest smoked cigarette. It's a non-smoking room, too.

Not really any courtesy or special treatment, and the rooms were in slight need of attention. But the hotel itself was nice and I got the sleep I came to get. Recommend breakfast at another spot however.

This was a good stop. The rooms are fine, a bit of kitchy good fun and the characters around this location are organically interesting. Don't count on a real breakfast or coffee made by coffee drinkers but a mind open to adventure will find a temporary happy home! Be well.

Service was poor, rooms were slightly dirty and unkept. Breakfast was just toast. The positive is the location being so close to the wall of fame. However toilets and showers worked just fine.

Bad hotel! The smell of pee in the whole hotel! dirty sheets, everything dirty and stinky. I stayed there a week ago and it was just shocking. We heard a robbery in the middle of the night, we were really afraid to leave the room until morning and we ran away. Not recommended at all!

I only stayed for a night. Outside is a stained entrance. They provide parking for $20/ daily. There’s a patio area where you can sit out and smoke or whatever you’re into. Check in was quick. No elevator from what I saw. Walked up to the second floor, where my room was. Fridge was leaking, and throughout the night after one to two toilet uses, the toilet was leaking, too. I slept comfortably for the most part, but paper thin walls wouldn’t even describe. Checkout was 11:00, I was about to walk out the door at 11:01. I received a call from front desk asking “if I’m coming down. ” No greeting, no good morning, no how are you.

Basically, this is the WORST " hotel" I've ever stayed at! Will definitely not be returning. This is not even worthy of a 1 star, however I had no choice.

A real dump. Grey rags posing as towels. No hand towels or washcloths. Bed sounds like you are crushing a can when you lie on the right side. Smallest bars of soap I've ever seen. A sad assortment of hangers probably rescued from the trash. No hairdryer. TV remote didn't work. Coded key only worked once. Had to replace every time we wanted to get into the room. If you want to feel like you are staying at a skid row hotel, this is the place for you.

Place was great. Got in late at night and they were super friendly and quick. Big room and nice beds. Definitely a good place to stay right near everything in Hollywood.

We drove 30 hours and when we pulled up to the hotel our initial reaction was that it was a hidden treasure. Once we entered the lobby it was absolutely breath taking the decor was amazing. The staff was nice, helpful, & very attentive. The firepit at night had us swooning under the stars as we share laughter & enjoyed music. They cared enough to find out information if we inquired and were very good at getting back to us. Room was very clean we are from Milwaukee Wisconsin and we were BLESSED & THANKFUL TO BE GUEST AT THE GEM OF A HOTEL.

Little hotel located in the back alley, parking is horrible the staff's are utterly Loud & Rude! Breakfast is1hr 8-9 if you wake up too early breakfast is not served yet and if you wake up a little after breakfast is over. Everything here is broken, TV broken, ice machine broken, bed frame broken Maids never bother to check on us, requested service but maids never came through. Smoke alarm going off in the morning, the phone in our room ringed in the middle of the night? After experiencing the receptionists smartass attitude, we didn't even bother asking for anything else, f**k it. Everyone seems to hate their job here.

Great location, safe, very clean, nice decor, friendly staff. Also walking distance to awesome places to eat, and drink, close to the TCL. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not the best experience. The location is good, near the Walk of Fame. The included breakfast is a joke and the room could be cleaner. The hotel gets very noisy at nights.

Me and my mom just loved this place. It was very clean, everything is white with chandeliers like you would see in the movies. I felt safe walking from the hotel to the Blvd and the people were so nice to me. I can’t wait to stay there again and so does my mom.

This is very good for the price paid. Clean, comfortable rooms, close to shops and supermarkets, close to Metro and bus station, newly refurbished. Good central in Hollywood area. We were satisfied with our stay. The concierge very friendly. Thank you!

The location is the best thing about this hotel. It is literally 3 minutes, by walk, away from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and many other attractions. That's really where all of your money is going. The prices are great for where it's placed. Other hotels in the area will not be nearly as cheap. The hotel rooms look nice but quite cheap. The vibe is cool and vintage. There's nothing luxury or fancy about the place, so don't even expect that. But the rooms are nice-ish. I stayed for 5 days on the first floor of the hotel. The room was located down the main hall and I could hear all the traffic coming and going. There also was no screen on my window and the hotel is kinda tucked into an ally, so that was a bit creepy. Everything in the hotel was broken. The vending machine. The printer. My TV wouldn't get channels. Honestly, what upset me the most was that customer service didn't seem to exist at this place. When I stopped by the night before, the Front Desk agent was reading a book (which I let go, it was 3am) but when I went to ask her a question, she barely looked up from her book. The next few times I approached the desk, the attendants all seemed much too busy for their guests. At check out, I had to wait for service because the guy left the desk unattended to go on a smoke break. The only redeeming quality is the location. The place could be fantastic if they tried.

Cozy clean small private. Beautiful ambience. Convenient. Great 4 the price and location.

As always great guest service, and the staff is friendly! I would definetly recommend to anyone that wouldn’t mind walking a couple of steps to Hollywood it’s so close literally walking distance to so many restaurants, museums, theaters and clubs! They also have Wi-Fi & breakfast for free!

Beyond all the stuff said in the other 1 star reviews, it is incredibly telling that when the fire alarm went off during breakfast due to burnt toast, the guests were the first to respond while the concierge casually strolled over once the problem was settled. Pretty much sums up the service here. There's more highly rated hotels right next to this and around the same price point too, don't make the same mistake as us.

Place owned by foreign owners, that are rude, and dont have customer service. Very demanding with your money when you pay. Whole place just looks patched up here and there (you cant tell on the pics), but clearly a really old dirty place… with an attempt of renovation. All the details suck. Floors, walls, baseboards… old. Also never enough towels in rooms. Very horrible quality towels, rough. Parking sucks… $20, and they will demand the money, its not safe, and like 6 spots very tight. Overall price should be lower for this place maybe $60-70/night. Not worth it.

Over priced, the breakfast is stale bread, crappy mini muffins, and dollar store oj. AC in the room was never properly working. Parking lot is for 6 cars and a headache to get to. Plus you had to pay but there was a parking garage next door for cheaper. Staff was great though. And it is a block away from Hollywood Blvd. Better choices out there for cheaper. Also the window in the bathroom was broken open. The shower pressure sucked. Also you only get one key card a room so if you have more then one person oh well. That and the key cards wouldn't work half the time.

More than once the desk clerk, manager, owner entered my room or stood with his ear to the door of our room and flipped out because I had a registered, certified, trained and well behaved SERVICE ANIMAL. Yes I saw him with his ear to the door via the peep hole and he checked TWICE at the door to see if everything was ok. The phone would have worked out for this. I would have gave a glowing report over this property other wise but all I can remember now is what a creep this employee was and how if an innkeeper ever violates my privacy again, I'll get an attorney.

I loved this hotel and the manager Scott was very sweet and helpful! Thank you for making my stay so wonderful!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM (+BED BUGS) We stayed in room 104 for three days, I woke up on our second morning with a bed bug bite, and the assistant manager denied that there could ever be any bed bugs in the room, acting surprised and refusing to accept any accountability because it was so "Unbelievable". After arguing with him for a few minutes about trying to get a new room or a refund, THE BEST he could do was get me new sheets. So after we changed our sheets and slept with the lights on, we checked out and I tried to talk to the front desk again. Bottom line, the female at the desk told me that management passed on information regarding the room stating that it needed to be sprayed down for bugs and there was nothing she could do about a refund. She said I had to speak to the GM. After calling for about a week now during business hours trying to get a hold of the GM and leaving my number, I don't think she's real. Pay a few more dollars to stay somewhere CLEAN.

To begin, the staff working the desk was helpful and nice. The room was clean. However, we paid $20 to park and when we came out in the morning, someone had slashed our tires along with 7 other guests. I do not think it is the hotels fault however, if we pay to park, our car should be protected. I spent weeks calling trying to get in touch with the manager, after being told he would be there the next day and never was. He told me he could do nothing for reimbursement, not even the $20 for parking.

It pretty nice, and it has breakfast. The best thing about it is it's proximity to the Hollywood bowl, so it's great to stay at if you are going to a concert.

Not pleasant experience. At the front desk we were given wrong directions on the parking with the hotel, we paid $ 20 for parking (there are so much cheaper in the vicinity) the consequence was that we did not find the car the next morning, and have paid $ 400 for towing. Luckily the $ 20 has been returned to us. The place is dirty and also very dangerous.

Staff is accommodating. Very cute design in the hotel but the building itself is a bit old — I could hear passersby on the hallway at night. We chose this hotel for its price and location.

It's a cute little chic hotel. The rooms are designed to reflect Hollywood. The breakfast served is good. There is a smoking area with fireplace outside the building. They also have a wending machine for small snacks and utilities. There is a gas station at the back of the hotel too. The best place about the hotel is its location. It is one minute walk form The Walk of Fame, the heart of Hollywood.

This is a really crappy place. It is also verry unsafe. Management is not good here and de rooms are really grose. You need to sign a form saying that there will be no refunds before you even may see the room where you are signing for. If you are still planing to stay here for a night or more don't take the breakfast. Simply don't do it. It will be served with white bread you will need to toast in an not clean toster. And the "breakfast" will will be served under an grose AC unit. Dirt is falling down from it. My room where I was staying was "cleaned" but they don't. All around the room there Spider webs. And when the housekeeper left the let the door open, and my stuff was left unattended by the housekeeper. And at the front desk they think this is normal. The area where the "hotel" is located is not the best. There are strange people everywhere. If you have kids I would advise to pick another area or be at your room before dark. Also there is an AC unit in the room… but it is right next to your bed so u could not use it at night. My advise. Pick another place. You dont wanna stay here.

Good location for Hollywood Tourism such as Walk of Fame and Universal Studios. Rooms are clean and quite large but require more soap.

I start with the positive, location is good and that's the only positive. Service is poor. Every time I go to the front desk, instead of asking me about my stay, they kept asking if I have paid for the room which I then repeated I have. I went out in the morning and returned at 5pm, the rooms are still not tidied. I wouldn't say they are rude but they are definitely not customer friendly. Rooms are also dated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Try other hotels nearby.

The most important thing: The people in this hotel were not friendly. The hotel is very well located and just 2minute walk to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's right behind the Loewe's Hotel. But that's really about it and I would always spend double the money and just stay in the Loewe's next time. It was not very clean. Furniture was partly broken. It was loud (day & night), people running in the hallways. The breakfast was a bad joke. All that would've been somehow okay and maybe even "hip" or "relaxed" if the staff and even the owner would have been a little nicer to us. Where I come from it's at least nice to answer if you wish a good morning to s. O. How can you not even response (twice) to your customers? Only one staff member was cool and relaxed and even helped us with our luggage in the first night of arrival. Unfortunately this guy was gone the next day. The staff at the front desk changed 5 times in only 2 days. Breakfast was some plastic-food and nobody of the staff cared at all that the trashcan was full, milk was empty and it was raining from the ceiling. Breakfast was a joke, we went over to Starbucks. We don't want to be to bad here. We enjoyed our time in Hollywood and we felt safe at night sleeping here. It was clean enough to stay and all over it was just okay. But related to the price it's not worth it. If the owner and the staff would maybe just be nicer and more friendly the whole experience would definitely be different. Thank you tho!

Actually this hotel doesn't deserve any star, we reserve 3 rooms and all of them were absolutely dirty, towels, bedding, and baths were used at the moment of our check in. We found shampoo and soaps bars open. People dealer waiting for you to offer drugs at the parking lot of this hotel. Please don't make reservations at this hotel, very unsafe.

For a luxury hotel I wasn't very impressed. On-site recreation was poor (pool was small and no hot tub). Self-parking was in the adjacent mall and we had to lug our luggage a block to get to the lobby. All elevators are secured using keycard access, but it was really frustrating to use because they located the reader 18" from the floor and it was very sensitive to exact insertion… Come on guys, RFIDs you can tap have been around for four decades. Room was poorly ventilated and made you feel muggy any time the air wasn't running (this was December mind you, not August). Bathroom has worse ventilation and gets damp after one shower. Shower itself was very narrow. Last complaint… we asked about late check-out rules and charges… some of the most expensive I have ever come across. One major positive was the view. Coupled with a room that was attractive and relatively spacious, and general patience with the other issues, it still turned out to be a nice stay. But on the whole, I'll be choosing different hotel next time.

Tried to cancel before I went in when I saw people doing drugs in front of the hotel but they said I couldn't cancel with them and that I would have to call website. So I decided to give it a shot since I couldn't find a contact # for website. Got the roomkey and went in room and left, didn't stay it was just too dirty. The thought of laying on those sheets was disgusting. The room number is taped to the door with a piece of tape. Finally spoke to someone through website that I booked through and person at hotel told company that they offered to cancel but I chose to stay which was untrue because they told me I couldn't cancel with them and that I had to call website they also told company they are a nonsmoking facility which they totally avoided telling the company they allow people to smoke marijuana in front of the hotel. This is not a real hotel or motel this place looks more like a place for addicts and prostitutes.

This place was horrible. I was petrified when I got there. Dirty towels were on the floor, and the reception, stairs, and hall were not well maintained. The room we got looked a lot better, but by the time we got to the room my friends and I decided that hotel was unacceptable. I was devastated because the pictures were misleading (there are a lot more photos now) and we had to find somewhere else to stay on my birthday. Luckily the Lowe's Hotel had a room and it was super nice and comfortable!

A good, clean and huge Hollywood hotel. The rooms are fine. The lobby bar is decent. The rooftop is a nice place to sip a drink or have lunch. The resturant serves a decent breakfast but I prefer to walk over to the Roosevelt for breakfast at 25 Degrees. During the Oscars, this becomes an epicenter of infrastructure for The Academy. They have massive underground parking.

Do you like strangers entering your room at 2:30 am with a key? Then this place is for you. Not to mention the stained towels and renovations that have been clearly going on forever. But also the rude staff who said to us "I mean what do you want us to do about someone else entering your room? " I know it looks decent… But do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

The service was terible. Nobody helped us and the bathrooms were dirty. The bed had a coffee stain.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Not exaggerating. The guy at the front was rude and not very helpful. The rooms do not look like anything they have on the website. It is still under "construction". The room was full of dust and mold. Did not have any cable throughout my entire stay and no one came to fix it. There were no clean towels. There was no tissue in the bathroom. The sheets were absolutely disgusting. Horrible odor. They would not let me change rooms. Not worth the price at all so do not be deceived.

The breakfast room I can't even describe what it is. Lol no chair no table. McDonald's would be a better choice. Oh and the parking has a $15 dollar additional fee hmm. And the decor I don't even know where to start. I'll just end this here. Horrible. The one star goes to the staff. Really nice.

Fast and cheep, get what you pay for in Hollywood. Nice thing is that is only a block away from the bulevard. Ill start by saying that the hotel is under construction and it has been for over a year now… but there has been some progress. Only one set of towels for the shower. No towels by the sink for the face and no soap/shampoo. Dust and dirt in the corners and on the surfaces. The windows dont stay up and so one of them was propped with a snapple bottle that someone had chugged down. The shower in the bathroom is not properly finished and water leaks out on the floor. The front desk people are horrible and thats all ill say.

Hadn't been to the Hollywood Liberty Hotel for 2 years so when I walked in I was expecting a run down hotel. Not have things changed. This hotel has now ownership and has been completely renovated. Staff was very friendly. Parking fee was only $15 and the room rate was $99. Best value in all of Hollywood and the most centrally located just steps away from Hollywood walk of Fame. If you are looking for gr8 value look no further than this gem of a hotel.

Terrible terrible place. Front desk is so rude. Please avoid this place if you have choice. The front desk person yelling at me, you ever saw a service desk yelling at customer? And I was charged twice. Suck place.

Hollywood (night shift guy) was real nice as well as the day time guy. Rooms were comfortable. Great price, love the location. Downside was we could hear everything, they're in the middle of remodeling so hopefully that gets fixed with it but other than that we had a great stay.

My family and I loved the rooms. The rooms are all brand new and very clean. We loved the crystal chandeliers and colored LED lights. We were next door to all the Hollywood attractions like Dolby Theater and Hollywood walk of fame. We loved the restaurants next door from the hotel. We will definitely come back again.

My family and I stayed here for 3 days. The rooms are brand new. Very glamourous with chandeliers and white marble counters. We loved the modern décor and comfortable beds. We didn’t have to rent a car because every attraction was within 2 blocks.

Beautiful hotel! My family had 2 rooms here and loved the hotel. The rooms very are very clean and spacious. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere in Hollywood. We will come back again in the summer and stay here again!

I thought it was such a great little hotel. Very quaint. The people were very kind and extremely helpful. The rooms were very nice. I really have no complaints.

For all the people that don’t know about the Liberty Hotel in Hollywood, you are missing out. What a great hotel. The rooms are beautiful and modern and the staff is wonderful.

This place is a frikin ghetto dump. The rooms are not at all what the pictures on the website and travel sites looked like. When you walk in through the front doors they have the laundry linen right In the front on the side wall of the reception desk there were some dirty ones thrown on the floor and some "clean" ones folded on the counter. The room numbers on the doors are written on a piece paper and taped on the doors! Once we got to the room the door had a big plaster spot like there was a huge hole and the patched up without painting over it then when we walked in the room all the walls had big plaster spots all over the place! The toilet had hair in it. There were roaches crawling all over the floor and the floor wasn't even tile or carpet it was cement like a garage. The shower floor looked like they had just cemented the tiles on it. This dump doesn't even have free parking. It's 10 dollars to park in the back of the hotel in front of an alley way. And from the back parking up to the hotel the stairs were filled with trash and cigarette buds. The rail going up the stairs wasn't even a rail it was just wood pieces nailed together. By far the worst most disgusting ghetto place I've ever seen. Please don't waist 154 dollars to stay here like we did was not worth it!

I recently booked via Expedia, receiving full confirmation and reminders of my reservation. When I arrived there was no reservation for me, and I was then informed that an employee had cancelled my reservation and neglected to contact me in any form. The employee checking me in was absolutely no help at all, and I was absolutely appalled by the lack of empathy or concern for this terrible inconvenience. When asked what the hotel was able to do in regards to their mistake and lack of communication, I was very nonchalantly told "nothing. " Never in my life have I experienced such poor and rude customer service. I ended up have to pay twice as much did a hotel 7 miles away because of having to book last minute. Do NOT stay here.

Nothing at all. Room is dirty. There was a big roach that I killed. There was blood stains on the sheets. I will never stay hear agin. Thy are under construction and the web site show it was completed a couple of years ago. The Landry for the sheets and towels are washed in the rear of the hotel, this room gutted i And dirty. You would think it is abandoned. Don't stay there. This place doesn't deserve 1 stars. I don't now how the city is allowing this place to be open.

My family and I were stuck for an extra day due to a cancelled flight. The pictures online are deceiving to say the least. I paid $100 for one night and an additional $15 for a handwritten parking pass. The hotel is still under renovation and construction. The location was the only good thing about it. The room was dusty, the floors were dirty, there was trash and the beds were very poorly made. The towels were old and scratchy. We were wore out from driving and spending hours at the airport, but this was definitely not worth the cost. The renovations are being poorly done with no attention to detail. I've been in the multi family residential industry for over 15 years and can spot poor workmanship a mile away. I would not stay there again nor would I recommend this place to anyone. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go elsewhere!

Nice new remodeled room with comfortable bed. Breakfast was just mini muffins with coffee. Didn't bother went and paid for breakfast elsewhere. Very noisy and dusty with all the renovations being done. Still waiting on my $100 room deposit to be refunded back onto my credit card. They don't answer emails. After sending 4 emails to find out what was going on I rang them (international phone call) to be told "oh we aren't really good with emails, so best to call us". And they can't make international phone calls. So by the time I get my refund back I'm sure I would have spent it on international phone calls because they won't answer or check emails.

Booked on agonda. They had a pricing error. Took 2 hours to sort it out and I had to pay a Second time and agonda would refund me weeks later. They had the confirmation email from agonda but wouldn't accept it because it was a pricing error. I did get it for that price but I had to explain to them they let agonda book it so they can't say no and throw me out. Even after 2 calls to agonda they wouldn't let me in the room until someone paid for it. Waited an hour for agonda to confirm payment then I was told my credit card was declined! They never said I was going to get charged more money I knew I didnent have the money in there and they make me wait an hour and not tell me they are going to charge me. After being awake 25 hours this is not ideal. Room wasn't nice like in pictures either. Very 2 star hotel maybe 1.

Shittiest hotel I have ever stayed in. Literally was in the hotel watching a TV episode on disaster hotels and Am episode with the Liberty hotel. That same hotel I'm doing the review on came on the tv. The woman didn't listen that owned the hotel and the guy trying to help her ended up walking away from the hotel deeming it and her unable to help. There were syringes in the drawers of the dresser. There were saws and other sharp tools laying around the hallway and small children walking around them. Magen their mother complained they wouldn't give her the money back. There were giant Rats in the laundry room. There's a huge gap under the last door right next to the laundry room for the Rats to come right in the room while you're sleeping. The worst hotel I have ever seen.

Outright theft. Horrible dealings with the desk. Put me off until the deadline for a refund had passed when I needed to cancel. Absolutely worthless.

CURRENTLY DISPUTING THEIR CHARGE TO MY CREDIT CARD WITH MY BANK! Their website photos are a lie and these good reviews are fakes! I got to this dump and it took 20 minutes to find the drug addict looking front desk girl. The common areas are run down and trashy. The room I got reeked of animal urine and felt like a gross damp basement. The sheets were stained. The place was so terrible that for the first time in my life I went to the front desk and demanded a refund and said I was leaving. She made me fill out a torn up square of paper with my complaints and said I had to call the "hotel manager" Kathy later for a refund. For the following week I have tried calling Kathy every day but she is always supposedly gone. I finally got this pathetic "manager" on the line and she claimed the room had no smell, wanted to claim that I didn't actually leave. And on and on. She couldn't even verify my departure and complaints with the front desk person I dealt with or with their housekeeping (if they even have any) because "they weren't there at the moment". Finally she promised to call back later that day after verifying I had left and I never heard from Kathy again and she continues to be "not here" every time I call. this shit hole and the people that work there are terrible! I can't warn you enough. Don't get fooled into paying for this hotel like I did.

Best hotel in Hollywood I stayed here for one week with my family. We had two rooms both rooms were modern very glamorous with chandeliers and brand-new beds. The rooms were very clean and very large. We were only a half a block away from Hollywood walk of fame, mann's Chinese theater and the Dolby theater everything we wanted to see in Hollywood was within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a brand-new room with Hollywood glamour.

Excellent hotel, super location around the corner from Hollywood Blv. Very clean, very quiet, the breakfast is continental but this very well, to a station by train to Universal Studios.
100% recommended.
