I am sad to have to share such a bad review. The staff seemed very stoic and un-helpful. Only 1 elevator working outside area closed. I stay at the holiday inn at lax almost weekly for for work and the whole place is wide open. We got 0 empathy from the staff. I would not recommend this place to anyone. In fact I want my money back. Horrible display of customer service.

Lobby smells fresh and nice. Hotel is very clean and concierge was helpful.

Nice place. It’s my first night here. The outdoor seating is so nice because you can see the sunset and it’s so romantic.

The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The rooms are always clean. The food is good. I think the breakfast buffet is a tad over priced considering the food, but I always get 2 free vouchers every stay. The pool is a great little swim. The outside is always well kept and clean. They want you to stay and they make sure you really want too.

Room was exceptionally clean! Bed was beyond comfortable. With soft and firm pillows. Entire staff was so helpful and very polite. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.

I was so pleased with our stay here, we stayed an extra night. Beautiful kept grounds, friendly staff, and the quality of food at their restaurant was great. By the way, kids eat free! I felt comfortable and safe at this hotel.

Excellent location to check out the local Korean and Chinese scene in the area. Noise from the freeway was not an issue. All rooms have recently been renovated. New furniture, carpet, etc. Ronaldo at the front desk was awesome. Checked me in, recognized my platinum elite status and took care of me throughout my stay. Ivan checked me out and was just as friendly and nice, even gave me a bottle of water for the road. I will definitely be returning!

Brand new hotel very nice rooms and service from staff was super. Food was fresh and hot.

Newly renovated but it’s still a Holiday Inn. The place is already falling apart. The walls and the doors are not thick enough to be sound proof. They started doing renovations at 8am so we heard all the banging. Housekeeping sounded like they were having a party in the hallways. Complained about people next door smoking because the smoke was making its way into our room through the adjoining door cracks, but the staff did nothing. The furnitures look like they came from an ikea.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. I am a loyal IHG member and any time I can stay at a Holiday Inn, I do. We travel around the country as well as other countries and spend close to $10, 000 a year at Holiday Inn's. This was the first time I have ever experienced such horrible service at a Holiday Inn. The reason for the low rating is not due to the quality or cleanliness of the hotel. It is solely based on the lack of Customer Care. Traveled to California for a conference we held and we had several rooms reserved and paid for, along with several other guests who stayed there and paid for their own rooms. We checked in and paid for all of our rooms, when one of the desk attendants called my room to inform me that there was a problem with my card. Turns out, the problem was that when he ran my card for the last room, he somehow processed a refund. So, they were showing a reversal for that room amount. I checked my bank and saw no reversal, just the hold amount for all the rooms. I spoke to the woman (Vanessa) who said she was the manager and she informed me that there was a glitch in her system. We both tried to contact my bank and because of the weekend, they could not confirm anything would be refunded until the following Monday. I spoke with Vanessa a couple times and agreed that we needed to wait until Monday to get things situated. I was not comfortable with the hotel scanning my card again for an amount that I did not see was going to be refunded.

Nice staff and great location. Recently remodeled, this hotel is a very good value for the money you pay to stay here. The Brand new beds were the highlight of my stay. Soooo comfortable.

I have to come to the Diamond Bar area every 4-6 weeks for about a week at a time for work. My first trip here I stayed at the Best Western and it was the WORST. So, this time I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Diamond Bar and I'm so much happier. As many reviewers have pointed out the hotel is still undergoing renovations. They are still renovating the pool area and they might be renovating some floors/rooms but I haven't heard or seen anything during my stay in the hotel, which is great. I had a Junior Suite for my 4 nights and the room was large, comfortable with a balcony and lots of plugs and outlets for a business traveler. The king bed was very comfortable and the linens were quite good, which is a big thing for me since I regularly overspend on fine bedding for my own bed. My room was at the end of the hotel and if you open the door to the patio you can definitely hear the freeway noise but the room is very well soundproofed. It's not 100% quiet and there is some white noise but I found it soothing. I tried the breakfast buffet my first morning, and for $12.99, I didn't find the value. Perhaps because I came during the last 30 minutes, but the servers were not attentive. I had to wave someone down to be seated, to get juice, to get condiments, etc. Everything seemed to have been made fresh, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, fried potatoes with peppers and onions and pancakes, but everything was barely lukewarm or outright cold. I skipped it the rest of my stay.

As a business traveler I often stay here based on location. They are finishing renovations but have done a great job at minimizing disruptions to travelers. Nice helpful staff.

Very nice rooms were great, food and service also, I was on a bus trip with with daughters to the Rose Bowl Parade.

Very clean, spacious, some bus and 18 wheeler parking (about 5 spots), we fit an 80ft car hauler in parking spot. Staff friendly. The only bad thing about this hotel is breakfast is not free and there arent any restaurants near by. It's about a 20 minute walk to the nearest restaurant.

It's a newly renovated hotel. Nicely done. I will be returning. I normally use the Hampton but nothing was available in the area. This Holiday will serve me well for this area.

Beautiful new remodel! The property is beautiful and the new rooms are warm and comfortable. Awesome service, the people here are very friendly and accommodating, especially Moli she is the best!

Holiday Inn Express is our Go To. I was able to get a room (after a fiasco at another local hotel) on short notice. Beautiful hotel, great amenities I wish they would adjust prices for no pool and the breakfast I had to pay for which is standard included with this chain. The only other issue I had was the maid opening my door even though I had the “do not disturb” on. I was feeling awful and trying to sleep and all of a sudden my door opened. Scary!

I was very well the place, only I didn't like that they had free lunches.

After renovation this hotel is pretty nice. Everything is new and clean, and staff are really helpful. Love this hotel.

The room is spacious and clean. At booking, nobody among my party of five was informed about ongoing exterior construction. We were, however, informed upon arrival at the front desk, that state rates do not include the “Complementary” breakfast typically associated with this chain. Four of us had never experienced this before. Such policy will most likely make state employees think twice about future stays at Holiday Inn Diamond Bar.

Our family stayed at the holiday inn, for a funeral. The staff was the BEST! Everyone that we encountered during our stay, were absolutely wonderful and were right there with smiling faces to offer help. Our rooms were spotless, and had the best of everything. Best sleep I've ever had, with their amazing comfortable beds. We ate all of meals in their restaurant which I will say, was a 5 star meal! I will be back again soon!

Better than I expected. Rib eye was tender and tasty. They need to work on getting the black and blue right. It was rare, but not seared. Veggies were just right, crisp, but not raw. Cole slaw was tasty. Not too sweet. They really need to fill out their whisky selection.

Rooms were newly updated, and were kept clean. There is construction at the hotel Monday thru Thursday on the lobby. The temporary lobby is located in the back of the building and you have to walk out and into the unfinished lobby to get to the elevator, but overall it was very nice, and staff was very friendly.

There was renovation going on therefore it was noisy in the mornings, lobby was a mess. Dirty elevators. And u could see people working outside on the exterior from your room window. Rooms were nice.

If I could give negative stars I would. This place is under renovation. So they are literally running check in and the restaurant out of one of the banquet rooms. So besides how terribly inconvenient it is because once you check in, you have to go through a construction site to get to the elevator and your room, then in the morning (hope you’re planning an early day! ) the crew starts working and you hear banging and power tools all day long! In addition, they redid the rooms and they are half the size. The room I had was literally a box with a bed and toilet. There are no chairs nor a dresser to keep your clothes in. Save your money, do not go here! What a bust! I see one review says the staff warned them about renovations, not me. I got no warning, it was all a surprise when I pulled up.

The front desk staff when I stayed Wednesday sept 27 2017 was very professional and friendly. A gentleman called me the day of my check in to inform me of current renovations. It really made a difference because it gave me the chance to change my expectations. When I did check in, I was extremely glad they informed me of the renovations. I say this because I would have been extremely 100% upset if they had not given me notice ahead of time. So thank you holiday inn, even though you had to do necessary renovations, thank you for notifying me. I would recommend this place and visit again.

Lots of construction going on. Staff is nice. Room is a basic hotel room. Shower is a bit weird and theres enough space in the bathroom to play twister.

Under construction but nice new rooms and comfortable beds. Keurig coffee machine in the room with plenty of k-cups. Double queen room a bit cramped and water pressure in shower not great.

I stayed for an extended period of time and enjoyed every day spent here. The front desk team and the housekeeping group were all so helpful nice and attentive to anything we needed. They were going through a construction at the time but they worked with it every day and made the stay enjoyable. The team here really needs more recognition for all of their positive attitudes.

I'm enjoying my stay at the Holiday Inn DB. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and modern with plenty of outlets. Would be a 5 star review but the construction going on is inconvenient and I wish they provided slippers in the rooms. Only 2 real gripes I have. I look forward to coming back when construction is finished so I can give it 5 stars.

With the renovations going on, it felt a little unorganized. Checked in and the gentleman at the counter was very polite and professional. Room was amazing with nice new equipment throughout.

No free breakfast at this location. The renovated rooms are very small. Rooms on the freeway side are quiet enough since they added quadruple sided windows. Room rates are too high, even for corporate travelers like me.

I had a very pleasant experience. This hotel goes above and beyond to make sure Holiday Inn guests are very happy with their stay. Not only did I get a courtesy call within a few mins after checking in, to make sure I was happy with my room, holiday inn also provides small things such as make up remover wipes and K cups for a kerig as well as a mini fridge. Also for your convenience there are outlets on both ends of the bed frame to conveniently plug in your electronics, phone plugs etc. I would definitely refer anybody to this hotel it was bright, very clean and well-kept. There is also a lovely courtyard with an outdoor dining area as well as a pool which overlooks the freeway and hills but it is very calming, quiet, and relaxing. It's a lovely place to get away and make you feel like you are at a lush resort get away. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one.

Honestly I don't understand all the bad reviews for this place! I ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY ONE NIGHT STAY AND I GOT A DELICIOUS FREE BREAKFAST INCLUDED! Customer service was so amazing! even our servers for breakfast! It was a buffet with a waffle maker! We had the 6th floor and it was super quite and the bed WAS OUTSTANDING FEEL ASLEEP ONCE I HIT THE BED! I LOVE THIS PLACE WILL STAY AGAIN! For all the people who gave negative reviews, must really be negative people because this hotel was far better than I expected! GREAT JOB HOLIDAY I WILL BE A RETURNING CUSTOMER!

Had a late check-in but the front desk was extremely cheery and friendly — Billy. Offered us water and other amenities with a fast check-in process. Room was clean, modern, and spacious. Would definitely book again.

I'm an IHG member with spire status (with almost 100, 000 points) and have stayed at many IHG properties. However, my stay at This property was the worse. I would like to start off by saying the ladies and guys at the front desk were awesome, yes, they were very friendly, nice and always willing to help. Room : room was nasty, old and not clean. The bathroom specially was the worse. It was dirty and looked like they recently fixed it. Wall had stains, dirty marks and something red that looked like blood or something. This was not what I expected. Buffet was a joke, I thought it was a continental free or complementary breakfast. Wow! $12.99 for just a coffee, a few sausages and bacon. The egg tasted really bad. I probably don't care that much about the $12.99 charge for the buffet but the room was not what I was expecting. Insane and not returning to this Property.

I love Holiday In Diamond Bar and Holiday In Diamond Bar loves me. There is no room for you in this relationship! really, you are just going to have to find another bar to make yours. This one is taken!

Diamond Bar is a great place to visit. I have been here many times living in St. Louis and having lived there as a kid. Visiting Diamond Bar is a treat for me. I have stayed in many hotels over the years. The Blackstone is hands down the best hotel I have experienced. The architecture of the hotel is beautiful inside and out. The coziness factor… WOW! I love a hotel that can maintain the historic feel but yet have all of the modern amenities. They have an excellent restaurant, Mercat a la Planca, a nice bar hotel and Starbucks. The rooms are extremely clean, the beds heavenly. The bathrooms are awesome, especially the showers. Get a lakefront room and enjoy the view. Play pool in the lobby. The hotel is near the museums and you can walk to the Magnificent Mile. Close to everything. I suggest you explore the hotel. It is a real treat!
