Reviews of Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn 2*
If you like pillows that are miniature, extremely noisy rooms, rooms that aren’t very private or quiet, this place is for you. This is the worst hotel near Disneyland.
Fantastic hotel, really accommodating and lovely big rooms. Extremely close to Disneyland too, we can't wait to return!
The staff are amazing, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the complementary breakfast has a nice selection to choose from in the mornings.
Your room is filthy and dirty. We just arrived and the room smell awful! Dusty! Lot of hair in restroom dirty lot of hair! I am very disappointed! THIS IS THE WORST BEST WESTERN! I always choose BEST WESTERN because of the cleanliness but HERE IS THE DIRTIEST EVER! To think that we have COVID VIRUS AND YOUR ROOM LOOKS LIKE THIS? I asked for lysol and you DON"t have? OMG! And I need to go to the store to buy it for my FAMILY SAFETY! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED! If I GIVE YOU ZERO RATE! I WILL!
So close to Disney with an easy 10-15 minute walk.
Friendly, quiet, spacious room.
Great staff, location, breakfast, & rooms.
Fantastic location, fabulous staff, comfortable clean rooms, so close to the parks and a yummy breakfast selection. We dant wait to come back.
This hotel has a very good varied breakfast available every morning.
I have been told about the magic of the Best Western Stovall’s Hotels. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if my three granddaughters coming to the UnitedStates for the first time could be blessed with the magic of Best Western Stovall’s Hotels! ❤️
We are staying at Stovall’s inn in April. Just wanted to share that I called today regarding our trip and received EXCELLENT customer service. It was much appreciated. Looking forward to our trip!
Our last night here, 6 nights in total. Staff friendly, rooms very comfortable, pool and hot tub were just what you needed after a few hours in the park. Breakfast is topped up regularly and always something for everyone. Our aircon came up with error code, we advised on our way out and was fixed when we got back. Deffently would stay again. Our next hotel Best western bayside, San Diego — hope its as good.
What a great location and the room is wonderful.
I have been staying with Best Western Stovall for the last 10 years we have had our Disney passes they have friendly staff great managers easy to make reservations with them very helpful. I have always felt like family when I stay with them. Looking forward to staying with you guys soon.
It's been awhile since I stayed at this hotel, but I highly recommend them based on their customer service. I made an error with a booking that I needed to cancel and they were understanding and went above and beyond to assist me. The next time we are in Anaheim we will definitely be staying here.
The place is clean, comfortable, the room have enough space to set your staffs around. The best part they have breakfast and id really close to Disneyland.
We absolutely love the clean rooms, friendly staff, and proximity to Disneyland!
Came from nz with the whole family had a great time. Stovalls was awesome loved the breakfast buffet so did the kids! short walk to Disneyland which was great. Planning on coming back in a couple of years and will definitely stay at stovalls again.
Decent price but I left my brand new pair of shoes in the item after check out, the reception said they found them but never returned them even after I told them I’d pay the postage.
It was a fantastic hotel! Right across the street from DCA. The breakfast buffet has lots of options! The pools are wonderful too!
Great place to stay,
very clean, great breakfast can see the fireworks from the parking lot.
Such friendly & helpful staff, very easy walk to downtown Disney, cute pools, the rooms were more than adequate. Definitely staying again.
Clean, friendly and it is a definate bonus being so close to Disneyland.
We love the Stovalls Inn. Easy to get to the parks via shuttle or even walking. The breakfast has a great variety with hot food as well as great juices. We also love that ee can get room service from Cocos next door! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Friendly front desk staff, efficient housekeeping staff and the two hotels we stay at have good breakfasts. Plus location, location, location!
This was a great hotel for our trip to Disneyland! The rooms were clean and functional. The pool area is fantastic! We were there every day. We booked the hotel through Expedia and when I called the hotel to confirm a few things it was brought to my attention we had a smoking room and they offered to switch to a non-smoking room without any issues. Laundry on site which was great to have. It's about a 15 minute walk to Disneyland but if that's not for you, there is an ART resort shuttle that stops right in front of the hotel and the day pass is reasonably priced. You can purchase tickets for the ART shuttle and Disneyland from the store in the lobby. The staff were very friendly, helpful and did a great job running the hotel. We will be back I'm sure!
Rooms are super nice. Great shower head. Mini fridge is cold and keeps our drinks refreshing. A/C is nice and cool. Staff is very kind and helpful. The breakfast buffet is worth it. They also have a pool and vending machines. Parking is usually pretty easy and available. It's also a very short distance to Downtown Disney and across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center.
4 Star because of the location! Perfect location. A 5 minute warm up Walk to Disney district. Breakfast has good choices but the eggs whites and sausages are blend (no flavor). Recommend using the pool! Perfect for children and two hot tubs with great view of fireworks. Did not gave it a 5 Star because the room could have used a better cleaning especially the carpet. Recommend staying on the third level everything is quieter and they have an elevator. They have an ice machine on Every level. Breakfast was always pack and at times it was hard to find a table. They do have 5 tables outside. Coffee is great, strong and tasty. Everything in my room worked. Again I think it has the best location to Disney where security lines are the shortest and it walks you through Disney district u don’t have to spend $1, 000 more to stay in Disney. I give the confort of the bed a 5 Star!
Great location. Walking distance to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventures. Breakfast had both hot and cold items. Decent selection of food and drinks. Had a room with two double beds that accommodated three adults and a seven year old. Pool area (two pools, two hot tubs and a work out room was nice. Provided clean towels at the pool. A couple of restaurants next door. Good restaurants, such as the Cheesecake Factory within a short drive. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Quick to take care of any issues in the room (we had a clogged sink and they replaced the remote to the TV with a better one). A/C kept the room as cold as you wanted. Reasonably priced, even considering he daily parking fee. Hotel condition was good. Clean and in good repair. We would stay here again and recommend to families planning time at Disneyland.
Not as close to Disneyland as advertised. At least a 20-25 min walk to the gate. Shuttle (through ART… not the hotel) is not free but reasonable cost (better deal for consecutive days) as unlimited trips. Rooms decent and clean. You get what you pay for. Breakfast was good but very busy even with four time slots. Pool was nice with areas for all abilities and ages to get out of the unrelenting heat.
We love staying at your hotel because it’s close to our favorite place: Disneyland. It allows us to come and go during the day, resting for a bit before going back to the park, awaiting the afternoon heat and sun. It’s location and amenities are excellent.
The customer service is EXCELLENT, friendly and helpful, either by email, phone and at the reception. The rooms are always spectacularly clean and the breakfast was a great selection.
Wouldn't even think of staying somewhere where else. Looking forward to our next trip.
Good location, polite staff, clean.
Location was great, rooms were clean and pretty normal, beds had fresh new white sheets and room had new towels. Breakfast was common, straight forward pancakes, potatoes, breads toasts cereal coffee was not good that day but probably was a fluke. Overall we had a great time. Parking was 10$ a day and shuttle to Disney was 5.50 a day for all day pass. Worked for us!
Love this hotel. Very clean and nice and modern! The pool was super nice I loved it and the walk to disneyland was only 10 minutes and ml mostly through Downtown Disney. Next time I plan a trip to Disneyland om definitely choose this hotel again. Check in was so easy it literally took 2 minutes and we had our room. We stayed for 7 nights and the price was great for what we paid for, the breakfast was a buffet and the room was comfy and spacious. Definitely will be staying again.
I gave it 5 stars purely because staff were super helpful no matter what I needed. The pools are great. Beautiful gardens. Also a laundry for washing. 10 minute walk to Disneyland. Beds are comfortable & rooms clean. I would recommend staying here to anyone ❤
Every year me and my husband and 2 daughters go to Disneyland and have been staying at Stovall's Inn for about 4 + years now… AND WE LOVE IT! We stay usually for 8 nights and you seriously can't beat the price per night and the location is really great too. Its right across from Disney's California Adventures and the walk is maybe 10 minutes… If I can do it at 50 years old and a bad knee, then anyone can… We are big eaters in my family and Stovall's has the best hot/cold breakfast buffet out of all the hotels in the area… Many choices for all different appetites. That's one of the reasons we keep coming back… The hotel staff is always awesome and very helpful and the overall appearance of the hotel is clean and the pool area is also amazing and always clean and well kept… Oh and the room are always accommodating and clean, the beds are comfortable and the size of the rooms are perfect for a family of four … three adults and a teenager… Overall I totally recommend Stovall's Inn… Also sign up for Best Western points, its worth it. I am a Gold Member and close to Platinum… It has its perks… We are already booking our room for next years Disneyland trip and stay at Stovall's Inn in 2019… Can't Wait!
I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay here. I paid extra to "upgrade" to the queen size beds, I was definitely not granted that upgrade and when confronted, they were insistent that the full beds in my room were queen sized, that screamed scam to me and made me question whether or not their "upgrade" even existed! The parking fee that you pay for is only valid through 3 pm of your check-out day. I was staying there to visit the Disney Theme Parks, and assumed since I was paying for overnight parking, I would be able to stay parked there until my departure, but instead had to move my car to the theme park parking lot and pay another parking fee so as not to incur an even more ridiculous fee of $30 to stay parked more than 2 hours past 3 pm. I have never experienced that with any of the surrounding hotels so I thought that to be ridiculously absurd. This hotel has over a 4 star rating so I was extremely disappointed to have a stay that rated less than that and it should be known. Usually I have great experiences with Best Western, but unfortunately this particular location has ruined that streak. I will not be giving Best Western Stovall's Inn my business any longer and would not recommend you do either.
Very good hotel. Clean and close to Disneyland. We walked to Disneyland every day. Good for the price. Had mini refrigerator which is what I look for. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because one night we had to take our car out and when we got back there was no parking we had to park on the other side of the hotel which was no where close to the room. There should be more parking especially when your charging an additional $10 per night. When we left the day cars had made there own parking spaces on the sides of the hotel. Overall good experience and we will stay again.
Great location, nice pools, free breakfast, and comfy beds. The amount I paid for 5 nights would have only gotten me one night at the Grand Californian Hotel. The hotel is closer to the back side by Downtown Disney, about a 10-15 min walk and much easier/shorter lines through security. My friend stayed on the Harbor St side and had longs lines through security every day, she was tad closer but spent more time waiting to get through security. I think for the price, this is the best location, you can shortcut through the Grand Californian to get to Downtown Disney but they have signs that say guests only. There are 2 pools and cabanas, very nice for our rest day to hang out there. The breakfast is decent, good options and was a great bonus considering how expensive food is at Disneyland! Our room was pretty close to the street but we never had noise issues, probably because we had the AC running and it had good white noise. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was nice and helpful.
This is our second time staying here for a Cheer competition and love it! From desk staff has always been helpful and nice. Housekeeping ladies are very sweet and awesome! Breakfast is good but always busy. Parking is rough and they only have 1 car per reservation policy but it worked out still. Pool area is very nice. We will be back for our next cheer event or any event. Can’t beat the location. 10 minutes walking distance to most places.
Very good service, super close to Disneyland, to 15min walking. The. Breakfast was very clean. There is a micro if you occupy heat some food and its minibar. Parking drawers In case you carry a car which has a reasonable cost and usually already includes in the price you give total around 35min to the center. If you visit again the Disney parks would be my first choice of stay.
The hotel was in a great location to the Park. It was a lot nicer and cleaner than I expected it to be at the price we paid. Though the beds were only double beds it was a decent stay with enough room for a family of 4. I was surprised to see a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was a plus. Overall the hotel was nice and fit our needs and I would definitely stay here again. The downside to the stay was the breakfast. It was way busy, hard to find an open seat and some of the items were out (at least when we went through the line). One of the reasons we stayed was because free breakfast was included.
After the Disney hotels, it is the best location to visit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, a rich breakfast, they just need to vary from time to time.
Check-in 3 days (3/7~10) room114 Advantages:-In fact, the motel.
Check in the end of the car directly to the outside of the room is very convenient luggage.
-The corridor has drinks and snack vending machines, ice-making machines, trash cans.
-Breakfast is quite diverse, there are scramble eggs, bacon, coffee pop. — Drink (soda, juice, fresh milk) is 24hr unlimited supply, but there is no bottled water. Near the liquor Store (walking 5~, 10min) can buy groceries. (Toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, razors, please bring your own) disadvantage:-soundproof, outside the middle of the night if someone will be very clear.
Fortunately, we all have a public heart. — The shower is troublesome, there is no hose-style shower, only in the bathtub.
It's very inconvenient to have children.
-Parking fee, 10USD per day. Overall, the price is not cheap or 210 偳 night, although very close to Disney, but it is not possible to take children with the go to Disney, to buy tickets (ART) sit medium-sized Shuttle (not low chassis, there are carts to go up and down the trouble) to Disney.
Every 30min, if another traffic jam will take more time, the night of the last car only to 9:30, if you want to stay late in Disney, you will find Uber and so on. With children, not recommended. But the whole is ok …
Loved everything about our stay. Our room was very nice, extremely comfortable beds, pillows and fluffy blankets. Plenty of towels already in the room, didn't need to ask for them. Most times when I travel there's not even enough in the room for everyone to shower. Breakfast was above and beyond and delicious! The hours breakfast was served was perfect! Having espresso and tea in the room, microwave and mini fridge was perfect! Proximity to everything was great. Everything was very clean inside and out. Felt very safe. Loved the option of smoking and non smoking rooms. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant staff were very nice and efficient. If I had to find one thing to change, it would be check out time, wish check out was a little later, other than that, this place is perfect! It was my first visit to a Best Western and we will back! Had all the amenities and comfort of a Hilton without all the added expense of the name.
Great hotel, amenities and staff. Everyone was super nice and helpful. We did not experience any issues. The room was great for the price. No cleanliness issues. One of our beds wasn't made one day, but we figured it was because we left dirty clothes on it while we were gone. Breakfast was fine and offered lots of choices, but not if you are on a restricted diet (gluten, dairy, soy, ect. ), so keep that in mind. Not too far a walk from the Disney parks, either. Probably 15-20 minute walk away from the park entrance. Great experience!
The hotel was great, very clean. We arrived early and they checked us in no problem. Room was very nice and clean. We where there for Disneyland, the walk is not bad in the morning on your first day, it's about 15 minutes. But security on the downtown Disney side was so easy we just walked right through. We have passes so we caught the train right there straight into the park, no waiting at the main gate. Was so easy. The second day we took a Lyft to the main gate the walk is far with kids. Overall it was great.
Great location for Disney parks. Excellent breakfast. Rooms a little small but meets the expectations of a hotel of its category.
Comfortable and clean, make sure to check out the huge, animal-filled topiary garden around the pool (lots of people probably don't even make it back to see! ) breakfast is nice and set up to handle crowds so no long waits. About a 20 minute walk to Disneyland, half of that through the Downtown Disney shopping district (so not all just walking along some busy street). Not much farther than the remote parking lots :) Also a shuttle service for about $5 per person at the time we visited — not a bad deal for 1 or 2, but for a family of four the same as Disney parking fee. $10 parking fee at the hotel that they don't mention, but you can register your car and park prior to check-in time if you arrive in the morning. Overall a nice place to stay.
It has everything you need for an affordable accommodation near the parks. Ideal families. The rooms Ground floor are noisy. Super Cordial staff.
Our room was clean and we'll appointed. The breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of hot and cold options. Access to the entrance of the Disneyland park requires a fairly lengthy walk but the cleanliness, service and security of the hotel compensates for the inconvenience. Although we didn't use the pool and spa it looked well maintained and inviting. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. We appreciated the ability to purchase our Park passes at the front desk.
The hotel was fine. Price a little high, but that's so close to Disneyland. Clean, good service and quiet.
Great place to stay when visiting Disneyland. Breakfast was excellent. Needed before entering the park as food prices are outrageous near the park. Beds were very comfortable after a long day at the park. Rooms very clean and a place I would recommend to anyone staying near Disneyland. A bit of a walk but not unreasonable that still allowed me to come back to the room midday for a rest.
Very nice. All very well. Very good service. I recommend it.
Very comfortable and close to the Disney parks. Friendly service.
Fantastic Stay here at this location. I have stayed many times over the years I have Frequented the park that is very close by. A short 10 min walk brought me straight into Downtown Disney. The staff was very accommodating with all requests I had made. I have been to various hotels in the surrounding area, some that are extremely higher in price, but I always seem to come back to this Hotel due to its awesome customer service. I will be frequenting this hotel in the future every time I plan a trip to Disneyland and California Adventure!
The hotel was clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. We spent the day at California Adventure and were surprised by the close proximity to the park. This was a nice option to the pricier hotels around. Good variety of food at the breakfast buffet. My kids ages 6 and 9 liked it. Will visit again in the future. Gets a 3 star because the ventilation system in the room was making noise at night.
The areas perfect. The availability of transportation to Disneyland is awesome. This place is really nice. I just think that they need to work on making sure that the rooms are completely clean in every corner. Bathrooms, around the beds, clean towels are of the essence. They have an amazing breakfast and the customer service is great. When you do contact them about an issue they are very quick to handle it. I like that.

Great hotel. Has everything we needed and our week here has been great. It only takes about 20 minutes to walk over to Disneyland or you can grab the shuttle and be there quickly. The breakfast is a buffet of standard breakfast fare and there is always enough for everyone. They also welcomed us to enjoy fresh coffee or juice any time which probably saved the 5 of us a good amount! I'd stay here again.
We just got back from a wonderful 8 night stay. We arrived early and fully expected to wait hours to get in our room. We we're so surprised to hear our room was ready at check-in! Every single employee we had interactions with were friendly & helpful. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Morning breakfast very good, a little bit of everything, traditional items, bacon eggs, pancakes, hot & cold cereal, muffins, donuts, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, milk, cocoa The hotel location is perfect for park and downtown visiting yet very quiet. The grounds are perfectly groomed. The two pools & spas are very inviting and enjoyable! We will be back next year!
We just stayed at Best Western Plus Stovalls Inn, Anaheim for the 3rd time in 3 years. We can't imagine staying anywhere else for our trips to Disneyland. The location is excellent and very close to the park. (Pro Tip: You can see the fireworks perfectly from the 2nd story balconies on the East side) Walking is possible but the Anaheim Resort Shuttle that picks up right outside is very convenient, especially after a long day of walking the park. The room ammenities are comfortable and clean and never disappoint us.
I will say, Breakfast is probably our favorite thing about this place and it's not just weak donuts and fruit. They put out a wonderful spread each day. A full, hot breakfast to fuel up for the day adds even more value to this gem. One less expensive meal in the park, or out at a restaraunt.
The pool and hot tubs are a nice way to unwind after a long day of walking Disney. One of the pools is heated and the sculpted bushes always amuse our daughter. We love Best Western Stovall's Inn and will continue to stay here any time we are in the area.
Staying at the Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn was the frosting on the cake for our trip to Disneyland. We loved the accommodations and the guest amenities (like the complimentary breakfast). All staff extremely courteous and welcoming. Parking was convenient and so was the local shuttle to Disney that picked us up at the hotel and brought us back (took only minutes. ). We felt 'safe and seen to' and would recommend to anyone. An incredible value!
The hotel is ideally located if you are planning a Disney trip. It is a short walk up Disney way to the park. The rooms are nice, but the bathroom is the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. It has two good sized pools and two jacuzzis. They play various Disney movies at night by the pool and have Disney music playing in the pool area. They offer a good complimentary breakfast, plus there is a Coco's restaurant next door that provides room service that can be billed to your room. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it.
Well the staff at the Hotel were all awesome, each and every one take pride in their jobs which reflects positively on the establishment as well as management staff which is excellent. My only “set back” or something that I don’t really care for is that within a few feet away is one of my favorite restaurants in the area (Coco’s) which is in the parking lot with the hotel, David the restaurant manager and his staff are by far the best in the area but the hotel doesn’t have any discounts, offers, amenities etc to provide to the hotel guests but yet the restaurant menus are in the rooms and they will even deliver your full order to your room which is great but there is a charge for using this service even though it’s only a few feet away, a little confused on that but still your at Disneyland where no bad things or negativity exists :-) but overall My wife n I enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone especially since it is very close to the park and the hotel staff is excellent.
Spent 4 nights here on a recent trip to the Disney parks and would definitely recommend it! They say it's a 10 minute walk to Disneyland, but I'm a pretty fast walker and it took 19 each time, including waiting for walk signals and getting through security. Still, it's really close and convenient. The room was clean and reasonably quiet, although the pillows were a bit lumpy. After 16 hours in the park, though, any pillow felt great! Breakfast was very convenient and offered a nice selection of eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, etc. In addition to oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, toast… It's not award — winning food, but it's great to grab a quick meal and saves a lot when you consider the cost of food in the park! Overall, I'd recommend Best Western Stovall's Inn and will stay here again at my next visit.
Awesome family friendly hotel. Will stay again Staff was very nice. Gift shop was decent price. Loved that you had to choose a time for the breakfast so not everyone in hotel was in there at once. Very clean. Rooms are a good size, beds are very comfortable they are firm but that is what I like.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I had great experiences at both check-in and check-out. The location was great. It is within walking distance (just under a mile) to Disneyland and California Adventure by walking down Disneyland Drive and through Downtown Disney. I was able to park my vehicle in the hotels parking lot for $10/day. The lot was secured with vehicle gates and I felt that it was safe there. Although the rooms are just a little dark, they are clean and comfortable. They have a mini fridge and a microwave which was great! They offered a continental breakfast for which you had to chose a time slot for in advance. They had a variety of cereals, breakfast pastries, bread, bagels, fresh fruit, oatmeal, yogurt, as well as hot food they would serve to you such as eggs, potatoes, ham or sausage, waffles/pancakes/French toast. This was super convienent, and was such a money saver over having to purchase breakfast inside the theme park. I will definitely return here in the future for my trips to Disneyland and CA Adventure.
Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The price for the quality and location of this hotel were excellent. Taking off one star for the crazy breakfast scramble. If the layout of the breakfast room was more rational, the process would ave been much smoother. An attempt to manage the crowd was made by handing out time slots. Another reason for taking off one star was the weird wing wall that made for a narrow passage through to the bathroom. These were very minor concerns, and I really did enjoy my stay.
Very satisfied with my hotel stay. Rooms were clean and was able to check in early. Close proximity to Disneyland which is what I was hoping for. Staff at front desk was very helpful with any questions we had. Definitely would stay here again.
Great pool area and short walk to disneyland. Breakfast is good. Rooms are pretty clean. Cleaning and breakfast staff are very nice. Front desk staff were mostly capable and kind. The hotel is not very accommodating with reservation requests even if you make the reservation six months in advance. We also called to verify all was in place 1 week prior to arrival. We requested adjoining rooms for our children and on the 3rd floor. They gave our rooms away so we ended up with neither request fulfilled for a weeks stay and no apologies or concern on the part of the hotel.
The gentleman, although there was nothing gentle about his behavior, who checked me in was rude and abrupt and uninformative. The bathroom was so tiny and cramped and almost unusable. The beds were rock hard and there were 4 small pillows instead of a normal sized one. I asked the man at the front desk how the shuttle worked and told him I didn't know what I needed to use it. He told me to just show up outside and it came every half an hour. He never mentioned anything about it costing anything, or that we could've gotten passes for it. The elevator wasn't ventilated at all and it barely moved. The store in the lobby is only open until 3 pm so if you need anything I suggest getting there before it closes. From start to finish this wasn't a pleasant experience at all. I've stayed at a lot of Best Westerns but this one fell way below my expectations.
I loved my stay at this hotel. Never felt more at home until now. Very helpful friendly staff. The breakfast was great it offered a huge variety of choices for the whole family. The room was a good size and the beds where comfy. The room was super clean and really nicely put together. Definetly recommend staying here. Only less than a 10 min walk to Disney parks.
We stayed BW Stovall's Inn for our Disneyland visit. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Downtown Disney District. They served breakfast early enough to arrive at the park when it opened. The beds were comfortable after the full day of activity, the shower with enough water pressure to wash away the perspiration of the busy hot day. The Internet was speedy for checking in with the world after a day of fun and fantasy. On the last day of our stay we checked out for another early visit to Disneyland and they protected our bags until we were ready to leave at late afternoon.
I stayed at the Anaheim Best Western with my wife and daughter for 9 days. All in all it was pretty poor. Here is a list of issues that I had while I was there:
The Aircon was so loud that you couldn't sleep with it on but it was so hot that you couldn't sleep without it.
A number of times I found fleas jumping around, not to mention the cockroaches that I found.
The dripping taps could not be stopped.
The initial stink that was there when you first walk in because the drains hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long.
The drawers that you kept your clothes in would not stay closed… at all.
The door swipe cards never worked and we basically had to get new ones every single day.
We had an issue with the TV one afternoon and waited for over an hour to get it fixed. Even then it still didn't work properly.
One of our own face towels was taken by one of the cleaners which could not be recovered.
When we returned after a long day out, the beds were never properly tidied. They were basically left how we straightened them up slightly before we left.
The mattresses would have been a few decades old. They were springs and low in the middle so you would always roll inwards which at the end of the night would kill you back.
The power plugs were dangerously loose and coming away from the walls.
Stovall's has got to be the best non Disney hotel surrounding Disneyland. They are very well priced and they serve a full breakfast. The staff is wonderful, and we have liked that they have a toddler pool. They are in walking distance of Disneyland, California adventure, downtown Disney and other local restaurants. I would say they are the best value for the money!
Everything was good here the rooms were clean the presentation was good the employees were nice and the free breakfast buffet was a plus only thing was the shower head was strange so it only had needle power or burst power.
Always clean. Sleek modern decor. I work at a hotel and my chain is nearby but I prefer the rooms interiors here. When I've taken pics in the rooms friends thought I was at one of the Disney resorts hotel rooms The pool was nicely heated in May and was comfortable even with a little cold wind late afternoon. The Wi-Fi was good enough as free Wi-Fi can be — I mean it didn't freeze up. Walking distance to the parks Is far for a 3yr old but real easy for kids 7 and up — about 2 blocks and you have to cut through the Grand Hotel but it's not a problem for us considering the rooms are so inexpensive. The breakfast won't wow you but they try considerably enough with the variety of choices. The protein is different usually eggs and one choice (i. E. Ham one visit, sausage patty another) and not well stocked … of course there is cereal various bagels, toast pancakes apples n bananas… apple n orange juice hot chocolate coffee tea… Very BASIC but great value for being free. Dining area is ok but needs more seating. Sucks to pay for parking but since the rates are always reasonable I'd still prefer it. The front desk seems pretty chill never have issues n stayed multiple times.
Very nice rooms. Breakfast was good but it was crowded. The pool area was maintained well. They set up an inflatable screen and projected a movie in the pool area every night we were there. That was a nice way to end our day.
Absolute worst stay at a Best Western. We booked our room over three months ago for a delayed Valentines gift (I work in a school and needed the extra time to plan for a sub). We got to the hotel and checked in just fine. When we got to our room, their were two fulls, not a Queen. We argued with them for well over 45 minutes explaining that we'd booked over three months ago, but the hotel stated that since we booked through a third party (south west airlines) we were not guaranteed a particular room, just any room that was open. FINALLY they gave us a room with a queen bed, but it was 2 blocks further back and an ADA room. We stated we didn't want that one in case someone who needed it came. They said they'd just turn the other person away. Finally we got to our room and the ceiling is warped and falling down due to a leak in the unit above it, the shower unit wasn't installed properly so the floor is angled to the front right corner and not to the drain so surprise surprise if you try to shower water ends up ALL over the floor. And last but certainly not least the TV didn't work. At all. I guess the food was good though.
Very good and near the gate of disney.
Good location near Disneyland… but its a long walk from the entrance. The rooms were fine — perhaps in need of updating/maintenance. The included breakfast was terrible — after trying it once we never went back. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Over 2 years later and were still talking about their continental breakfast. Family of 5. Hotel was clean. They were able to provide us a crib for our over 1 year old. The staff, let me tell you about the staff. Freakin saints I tell ya. Dealing with all the guests during their continental breakfast alone, they deserve huge bonuses. I was floored on how rude over 50% of the guest were at this time. Horrible, horrible and dirty. YES, your on vacation but that doesnt constitute being a slob so the next person that comes in has to clean up after you in order to have a spot to sit because staff are overwhelmed with restocking. Thanks for making our stay awesome along with the experinece. Btw, paying for the shuttle to the park was well worth the money. I was 6 months prego at the time and walked it once, not suggested after a long day walking at thr park.
Always stay here when I go to disney land! Great rooms great price. Recommend if you can not afford the disney hotels. Not a far walk from the parks.
We paid a lot of money to stay close to Disney and I was bit by a spider in bed on our last night there. I saw the marks in the morning but did not think much of it at the time since I was in hurry. I had to go to urgent care the next day and was put on antibiotics and steroids for a week. I called the hotel and was "transferred" to a manager and it went straight to voicemail and was never called back. I would strongly recommend staying some where else especially if you have young children.
The stay was great and comforting. The overall appearance was just exquisite. It was clean and had good taste. I felt at home.
Close to Disneyland and a couple of restaurants. I do wish the bathrooms had a vent. The pool area is nice. Continental breakfast can be a nightmare on the weekends. The front desk staff is very helpful.
If you're planning on being at Disney all day and night and want a semi-decent place to sleep, Stovall's Inn is perfectly fine! Everything is clean and tidy, if anything just a little dated. They have interconnecting rooms, perfect for larger families. The bathroom was clean, just a little on the small side.
Great hotel, very good room. The breakfast has a few options (mainly if you are not American). The internet is very slow… Cost benefit is very good!
Still have a few days to go, but so far everything has been good. We're staying here for Disneyland and they have a shuttle you can purchase passes for that will take you there and back during the entirety of the park's hours. The continental breakfast is fine as well and is a good idea to take advantage of before hitting the park.
My daughter n I stayed here in August 2013… I cant thank you enough n so grateful by da beautiful n prompt service given n shown us by da staffs. Looking forward to my next vaccation n dis time I will take my whole family…
It was good. The TV remote barely worked tho. And also needs an up to date heating sysytem.
Don't stay here! They don't have enough parking and so they tell people to park in the fire lane overnight. On top of that the room you reserve is not guaranteed. I paid for a king room and got two twins…
Gr8 place to stay. Staff are super nice and its so nice to relax in the spa or pools watching fireworks st night. Totally recommend taking yr family and walk across rd to Disneyland. Hire car place just down the road along with restaurants bars and chemist.
Excelent location, fast Wi-Fi and good rooms.
The rooms were very comfortable here. It was in good proximity to the parks and the pool area was very nice and well maintained. The breakfast service was very convenient. I was not happy with how long it took them to get the rooms ready. We arrived by three but had to wait an hour and a half before the rooms were ready which made for some grumpy children who had already spent thirteen hours in the car. It was also very annoying to have the key cards stop working. We had to get them reactivated several times during our stay.
Great hotel to stay at. They are great with kids and the loc is very very close to Disneyland. The staff were all very helpful.
This hotel is spotless, the staff is great and the atmosphere is wonderful. The breakfast had everything and it was delicious and the pool area was very well kept and clean. The whole hotel is newly updated and everything was perfect! This is the best hotel to be at.
I stay there often it has great pools and hot tubs. The breakfast is okay. Great service. Went there to visit Disney Land the bus stops right in front of the hotel.
This place has a a lot of people staying all the time. So i'm sure it's hard to keep every room spotless. The first room we were in was falling a part. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, there was a part of the ceiling that looked like it was going to cave in, the sheets had stains on them, and everything just looked used (crumpled welcome papers, etc. ). So I complained and the manager was very nice and put us in a different room which was MUCH cleaner. Or so I thought. The next morning I went to use a towel and it had a nasty looking brown stain with pieces of brown something in it. It was obviously not clean. I took it down and showed them and they were again, very nice, and docked the parking fee off my bill. (BTW it's $10 to park here every night and parking wasn't always readily available. ) The breakfast was poor. Over microwaved sausage, cold and chewy eggs, soggy french toast sticks, and stale pastries. The containers that had all the pastries were clearly not cleaned either. Had a film along the inside of them, and the tongs were the same ones left in the containers with all the same broken pastries for the three days I was there. All in all, this is an expensive motel. I've seen better motels than this place. But the management is nice and at least they cared enough to discount my bill.
Roaches in two different rooms took it in bag to front desk manager.
Stayed here two weeks ago. Room was clean and quiet. Beds were comfortable and the decor is modern. Nice flat-panel TV, Microwave and coffeemaker in the room. Breakfast was very substantial and tasty. Breakfast room gets a bit crowded, but that is not surprising with a hotel of this size, full of us tourists. Disneyland/California Adventure/Downtown Disney all an easy walk to the north. I will definitely stay here again.
Everything worked. Everything was clean. The breakfast buffet was awesome; Scrambled eggs and a different pork product on all 3 days of my stay (sausages, bacon, etc). Re: the video screen in the breakfast room, they played the prerequisite DISNEY product, but ONLY the bland ultra-modern CGI Disney stuff aimed at 2014 pre-schoolers. Shrug, Meh. ME? I would have preferred Disney's antique material, such as "Steamboat Willie, 1928" LOL! My internet worked just fine. All in all, my stay here was awesome. 5-stars.
First time at this hotel. We have passes so we go constantly. The room was nice, no complaints there. The lobby was FREEZING! I asked the staff and they said the manager insisted on keeping it that cold. What, are we from the North Pole? Seriously it was probably 40 degrees in there! I arrived at 11pm in December and it was warmer outside! So the rooms were nice but the food was totally DISGUSTING! The eggs were so watery that there was at least a half inch of water collecting at the bottom of the pan, which was scooped onto your plate with the eggs. The "waffles" if that's what you can call them were so soggy they were ripping when you tried to pick them up with the tongs. I put them in the toaster hoping that would help but they turned to rubber. Hmmm. What kind of batter must this be if toasting it turns it to rubber? The bacon smelled (like old meat). The orange juice was 90% water. The donuts were so old the outer layer was falling off and when you tried to get it with a tong they kept falling apart. I don't know what possessed me to take a bite but God help me I did. I almost threw up. The best thing about the "breakfast" was the packaged yogurt that they ran out of completely, the bananas, and the packaged peanut butter. You have to spend a little more on food and food safety. Tables were filthy too but that's because the staff had to compensate for the crappy food.
Very clean rooms, I like the free breakfast they offer. All I can say is that they should clean the tables a bit more often.
Why we were booked into this hotel I will never know. My son is in a wheelchair and we requested a fully adapted room with a wet room. They gave us a normal room, my son couldn't have a shower for the whole 10 days. I am disgusted with the attitude the staff had, not very helpful at all and I will be contacting Hayes and Jarvis for a full compensation. This hotel should make it very clear they have not adapted rooms for wheelchairs, it's discrimation against disabled people and something should done about this. They ruined my son's dream holiday who has a terminal illness.
I have no complaints about the rooms or service by the front desk — — they were awesome. However, the Wi-Fi is another story. I was there for the VEX robotic competition with 11 students and staff from April 21st to 28th. We did not get Wi-Fi in our rooms at all. The Wi-Fi service was non existent for the first four days and then the IT company told us they changed an antenna but the service didn't improve. The hotel did very little in terms on compensation other than direct us to IT. I would suggest they get a different IT service provide as this company did nothing but delay fixing what needed to be fixed earlier and they just stalled till people left. Very troubled with that concept. We specifically booked in the hotel because of the free Wi-Fi because we were not on vacation for Disney but were attending a tournament that required prep for staff and students.
Rooms were too loud, people walking by would cause me to wake up. There was an odd half wall between the bathroom and the rest of the room, it was often kicked and stubbed toes. There isn't enough room for a table and chairs near the windows — but they put one there anyway. I could have used an extra luggage stand, but a table and its chairs worked nicely as one. There's no thermostat, instead there's an in-wall heater and combined AC unit. The unit is loud, drips often, and was better off in the OFF position as it spewed stinky, lukewarm air. The look of this hotel suggests that it was "updated" in the early 90s, cutting all the corners possible and still retains outdated "ammenities. " The office staff weren't friendly or helpful, being new to Disneyland area we didn't know what to expect or where to go, they often didn't answer questions or left us guessing what to do next. Breakfast was overcrowded and terrible — pancakes turned rock solid after leaving the heat lamp. Food was often not restocked. Tables and chairs were too close together, one table being flat against the wall with chairs (and expecting guests to sit there). Cartoons on constant rerun at ear splitting volumes. The positive is the closeness to the park, 5 minutes on an ArtC bus and you're at the gate entrance. However, the ARTC bus did obstruct traffic dangerously trying to make a U turn on the boulevard. The beds were comfortable and offers plenty of pillows.

Checked in at the end of November 2022 and was very sad to check out. Clean comfortable rooms, lovely atmosphere, great pool area, large breakfast area with plenty of options to fuel day. Super staff!
