On March 10, 2019 my friend was criminally assaulted, with one blow to the head leaving him unconscious, in the hallway. I called 911, to report this crime & stated I needed immediate medical response paramedics. None arrived. I don’t recommend this particular Chico, Ca Best Western as they have no security cameras in or outside. As it turns out from transcript of my 911 call, when the dispatcher from 911 tries to call back desk of BW … No One answered at all. This is irresponsible for desk staff not to pick up phone. Now Mngr Jenny Kincaid won’t (has been asked twice in writing) to please provide the franchised owner name and contact. I think an owner of any franchise would want feedback of their staff doing the day to day but representing your owned business. Cecilia the night desk mngr failed to complete the internal Incident Report to Corporate Best Western. Even Corpprate BW has been withholding name of franchised owner. They offered rough recycled paper towels to me a guest, to clean facial lacerations from assault broken nose, eye needed stitches and sustained concussion from one violent punch to face. They refused to provide me two clean hand towels … another guest saw the wadded paper towels put in my hand as an offering so she gave me hers from their room and antiseptic wound cleaner.

Have been coming to his hotel for years, great location.

Best Western in Chico CA has bed bugs and we had the worst experience working with them. We are refugees from the Campfire in Paradise CA. The GM tried to say we brought them in first before I shut her down immdiately. We've taken no donated items and have never had issues with pests in my entire life until waking up to them feasting on my child, mom and self.
There are no rooms available anywhere in the surrounding areas due to the displaced people and we had no choice but …to try to let them make it right. We moved into a different room and I spent hours washing and drying everything to rid them of our items. She gave me a roll of quarters for the laundromat which covered the cost of one load of laundry in our 7 loads total. K thanks. Couldn't sleep and even still my child woke up with another welt on his face. The very next day they had the room "treated" for a couple of hours with a few heaters in the room. As if that did the trick. Then they were demanding the extra room we stayed in was unavailable. We could go back to the room with bugs or leave. They gave me 15 minutes with no notice to move my items from the room myself to the infested room. I will now be missing a week of work to stay in a different hotel 4 hours away until we move to our rental in Chico. I'm not about to sit in a bug infested hell hole with bad management. Thank you so much best Western for making the worst week of our lives so enjoyable. I have officially had a mental break down.

I defiantly do love this hotel. Its clean. Its nice. The rooms are defiantly comfortable and the AC works great lol. The out side might look like a 6/10 but inside its nice. They have break fast in the morning with the normal food: coffee, juice, waffles, cereal, muffin, fruit, eggs and more. The rooms are pretty big too. Staff is friendly and helpful. I come to Chico a lot and this is my new goto hotel.

I was very pleased with the server/host during our Saturday morning breakfast. She welcomed you with a sincere "good morning" and kept the food area clean and accommodated. She went above and beyond our expectations. Keep up the good work with your staff. Let them know we appreciate all their hospitality.

First off, these guys have a great staff. Friendly and courteous. All A's. Good breakfast. Convenient location. I was told the property had been recently renovated but it still appears dates in ways. Bed was definitely on the extra firm side and a lot of road noise was heard from my room. No option to leave the AC/heater unit on a constant fan mode to drown out the noise. Other than that, it is a nice property. Perhaps a bit overpriced.

I have been here for three weeks and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The breakfast here is awesome and a more friendly staff you will not find, they accommodate any request to make sure each guest has a great start to their day. Everyone has a smile so it makes you feel comfortable and safe. The rates are very reasonable, it’s quiet, clean and organized and that matters to me because I’m working graveyard shift for the next two months and I have no problem sleeping during the day. There’s always snacks in the kitchen and coffee and juice 24/7 for people with different schedules. I would stay here again no question about it!

I feel almost like home, only one favorite, I’m vegetarian and I really appreciate your breakfast, but if it’s possible to keep the meat separate from other food like potatoes eggs… thanks in advance!

Our experience was very good. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Everything worked as it should. The staff was competent and pleasant. We'd return.

The new decor is very appealing and comfortable. We have stayed here several times and although it is situated next to the freeway, we have never found noise to be a problem. Beautiful property, lots of green grass for doggies, shopping and restaurants nearby! Definitely recommend!

Do not stay here. Stayed one night and was charged for 3 different rooms! Spoke to 6 people, 5 phone calls, and still do not have all charges reversed. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Oxford Hotel, you’ll be greeted with professionalism and any issues resolved quickly.

This is a good hotel. I was on the side closest to all the shopping complexes and my room was nice and quiet and clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was very good. The staff was very helpful.

Don't let the exterior or entry to hotel prevent you from staying. — Comfy beds, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. — Entry to hotel property is a little tricky with traffic at times, but cutting through adjoining shopping center is the trick to a smooth exit/entry depending on time of day. No big deal and would not deter a future stay, just a heads up. — I feel very safe at this property. (Female business traveller. ) Have stayed 3 times and every time has been great.

The shower handle busted off when I went to get a shower in the morning, so no shower. All the staff offered to fix this was a ten dollar discount, wow. Then got woken up by vacuuming outside in the hallway at 7am. Have no respect for sleeping guests. Also the highway was so loud I couldn’t sleep all night. When you pay for a hotel, you pay for a good nights sleep and a shower, we didn’t get either. Thanks for robbing us and ruining our day.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was kept clean and the food items were kept full to allow for the flow of guests coming in/out. The staff was very helpful in providing places in the area we could visit and also provided directions. The room was very quiet and clean. The hotel looked like it was recently remodeled. Overall, we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. It is close to restaurants and old-town Chico. Definitely a great value!

Location was noisy due to traffic and did not feel very secure. The desk person stayed in the office most of the time and made it feel weird. Breakfast was poor quality even for a packaged continental breakfast.

Great bang for your buck! Employees are all super friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast spread goes well beyond the expected continental fare. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that the walls are thin and you can hear everything going on in the halls and we were a few doors down from the elevator so we could hear that dinging all the time. I'll definitely stay here again, but next time I'll bring earplugs!

Great stay, room was fantastic very comfortable and relaxing. The area also great, big box stores and lots of choices for dinner. A+

The location was awesome if you plan to visit Chico it's right next to main Street! The rooms and beds were big! And the beds were kinda hard and the shower was really powerful to the point where it hurt. The service was wonderful super friendly and free breakfast!

Friendly staff, no hassles. Room was clean and comfortable, thermostat worked well. Would give five stars if pillow were less firm and less full, and if breakfast had bacon. Overall, very pleased with my stay.

Very clean room, friendly staff. And the bed was decent. The shower was very small; With my arms down at my side I still touched both sides of the shower. The location is a good spot but very hard to find initially.

Considering that the reason for us being in the area was unfortunate, the staff and facilities made the experience much more pleasant than expected. The ladies both at check in and check out were helpful and cheerful. The room was very comfortable and large, the breakfast tasty and well presented, and there was a nearby restaurant (Pour House) that made the New Year's Eve better than expected.

I found this hotel hidden and hard to find even though the entrance is adjacent to a very busy hwy. The staff are exceptional, but the room I received didn't match the room I reserved. It took me 50 extra minutes to find the hotel which is hidden behind KMart pick up. Until I got directions from a local, I was going in circles. The hotel is clean and the staff above par. It wasn't good for me, but it might be for someone else.

We stopped at this place every year. And this year we see positive changes. It seems like hotel had been remodeled. Room has new AC system which much easy to use. Bed is great, so soft and comfortable. Breakfast area got larger and food quality and variety just great.

A place with a hambiente is very quiet and comfortable.

Wi-Fi was free and supposedly secure, however no password was required to log on, looked on connection and a security warning was brought up. I brought this the attention of the staff, while nice, left me with little reassurance that the matter would be addressed. Great security risk. Also, a small dog was left unattended by a "guest" in a room. The dog barked incessantly and my dad had to move rooms (which they accommodated), my suspicion is that it was the dog of the hotel staff as I saw the front desk staff walking a small dog shortly thereafter.

HUGE safety concern! The main door was put on crooked so you had to use your whole body weight to push the door open & closed. The sink handle was on incorrectly so it was difficult to turn the water on and off. Blow dryer hardly worked; looked like it was from the 80’s! The beds were comfortable and the towels were nice. They offer a good breakfast. From cold cereal to eggs, sausage and waffles. Very good! At $150 a night I don’t feel the hotel was worth it!

It was an ok stay compared to the other hotels I have stayed in these last couple weeks. The staff is courteous and I am willing to give them a slide for the construction in the hotel as it is a temporary annoyance that doesn't really reflect on the hotel as a whole. The fact that they are making attempts at updating the hotel is wonderful instead of letting it fall to pieces. What does give this hotel a three star review is my experience on check in. The process went smoothly, but once I get my key and swing open the door of my room I am greeted to a half naked man lounging in what is supposed to be my bed. The staff apologized for the mistake, and I had a bit of a laugh over it with friends, but at the same time… how does this even happen?

Front desk staff were warm and professional. Rooms were just ok. Breakfast was fine except they ran out of juice and did not seem in much of a hurry to replace empty containers. Construction at the hotel left strong smell of paint downstairs and many of the doors to the room looked shabby. Room was decent. May stay again if work is finished and bed was more comfortable.

I stayed as an overnight guest at the Best Western Heritage Inn — Chico and was pleased with my stay. The rooms and the building as a whole are modernly furnished with all the amenities you would need plus more. Rooms are clean and well kept and include an HD television with a plethora of channels, full size bathrooms and complementary toiletries. A pool is available to all guests as is a Continental breakfast with a wide range of breakfast options. If there is something you need that the Best Western Heritage Inn — Chico can not accommodate, there are several stores and eateries with walking and most certainly driving distance. Along with that, it is conveniently located near a major freeway entrance/exit. All in all, I would not hesitate to stay at the Best Western Heritage Inn — Chico again or to recommend it.

After checking in, my brother and I entered our room and we very pleased just by the looks. While staying there, I had no problems with sleeping or getting comfortable. The continental breakfast was amazing and the staff were all very nice. Very happy with my stay.

We stay exclusively at Best Western Motels and have done so at least 22 times during the past year. We would rate this motel on the lower end however, there appears to be an effort to upgrade the facilities. Our stay was comfortable and convenient.

OMG wonderful place. The staff is so friendly. Had a ice cold room. Breakfast was top tier. Highly recommend. I would go back.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Parking lot was ample enough for my big work truck too. I thought I may have forgot my wallet there after I checked out so I called to ask if they found it. They said they didnt find anything but would go double check. I found it later. But the fact that they went through the trouble to double check for me was very nice, and very appreciated.

We only stayed one night, but the room was bigger than most and it was set up like a slightly smaller version of a studio apartment! Very nice! As we were leaving to meet friends elsewhere for breakfast, we passed through the lobby and my mouth started watering with the sight and scent of a extensive breakfast bar.
The hotel was renovating, but I did not see or hear anything.
I would stay there again!

The TV channel guide did not reflect the actual channels available and was useless. While a hotel staff member assured me that they had an accurate printed list of TV channels, none of the hotel staff had the common sense or diligence to print out the channel guide and distribute it to the guests. The channel guide should have been provided to every guest upon check-in with a minimum of effort. The laziness and lack of professionalism was shocking. Also: the hotel does not have a business center. Fortunately, we were driving and did not need to print out airline boarding passes. There was also some construction going on, but that was not really a problem. The rooms are fairly comfortable, the pool and hot tub are quite nice, and the free breakfast is a great deal. The location is also convenient to transportation and shopping.

The inn was being remodeled while we were staying g there. This did not change our stay at all. The rooms are clean and inviting. Great having a fridge and microwave. Ample room available for my child's crib. Their morning breakfast is quite good as well.

They are renovating, spoke to the new GM, she is working on updating everything. My room did not feel clean, and she beds are squeaky and soft. Hopefully it will get better. No gym, no pool, no hot tub.

The room was okay. The location is great. The ice machine was broke though. All in all worth it's price.

The staff is super nicenice and helpful. The rooms are clean but outdated. It would be nice if there were proper chairs to sit in and comforters on the bed. Also the breakfast bar isn't up to the same level as most best westerns that I've stayed in which is unfortunate. It's sad that the dog friendly rooms smell likelike cigarettes because they have everyoneeveryone on the same floor. The redeeming quality of the place is the staff who are super attentive and helpful with everything.

The location is great, close to highway. The rooms are nice but the beds are noisy. The service was mediocre at best.

We stayed here to break up a trip from OR to NM. Called an hour ahead (on a Monday night in January) and the guy gave us a good room in the middle of the hotel (says the Wi-Fi is best there). Reviewed the ratings for a few other hotels and this one seemed like a good choice. Bed and pillows were decent (and I am pretty picky). It was overall a good choice for us.

It was a nice place to sleep. Beds were comfy and amenities were nice. The breakfast wasn't very filling but overall was cozy.

I love everything about this hotel. It sits back in and out of the way of busy traffic, but is still surrounded by every store and/or amenity you could think of. The staff are great (Nate and Max at the front desk are very pleasant and helpful… and I didnt get her name, but the lady that serves breakfast is an absolute doll! )! I love Best Westerns and this hotel is the reason why. AWESOME staff, GREAT location, HUGE clean and comfortable rooms, and very affordable (AND YOU CAN PAY CASH! ). This will be my go-to hotel every time my husband and I are in town! THANKS GUYS!

Room was larger than average. Clean but dated. Night auditor dude was unclean and sarcastic. Front desk in morning was nice. Very friendly attendant in breakfast area. Nice for the price; a couple steps above a motel.

The Hotel itself is good the costumer care made it the worst stay in my life time of staying in hotels. Nate supposed Floor Manager and Craig the General Manager at the Chico Best Western Inn Heritage are little side kicks that will back each other up with there lack of costumer service and poor ability to caring the Best Western motor of, Costumer is always right. If you read this and have had a simular experience please report to costumer care so we can see to it that these misable Men can be happy with another job. I'm completely baffled at the level of service that was provided to me and my friend at this hotel. I will never give business to this place again. Outraged! #
