Great clean hotel, the owners are real nice and friendly. This location of this inn is real convenient, it's close to everything! I would recommend staying here.

The location was right next to the main road and across from the boys and girls club. Being so close to the main road allowed you to walk just about any where you need along with a laundromat a 2 minute walk away. The room were really nice and roomy with a clean bathroom. The driveways into both the parking garage and front area had a bad design and are very likely to scrape anything low to the ground. Very decorative building with all the amenities needed.

I highly DO NOT recommend this hotel! It doesn't even deserve this 1 star, it deserves no stars. After a 9 hour drive and being completely exhausted. We thought this may have been a good find. Unfortunately it was quite disappointing. (1) We have AAA and we weren't offered to use it until after the front desk clerk wasn't able to apply the discount and then (2) We get to our room and THE BEDS ARE STRIPPED & NOT EVEN MADE, sheets & blankets everywhere and the trash can wasn't emptied. It was like housekeeping started to clean the room and then decided to quit. But, why wouldn't the hotel know if a room wasn't finish. No accountability of their staff doing their jobs! Then when we went to the front desk to complain, it was a very unsympathetic "sorry". If I could post pictures of what we walked in to, no one would want to stay here.

One of my favorite hotels to stay at in San Clamente. It's a short walk to the beach or train station. Theres resteraunt, bars and shops all within walking distance and the staff there are extreamly friendly.

The rooms were pretty decent and clean & the beds were comfortable. The clerk was very nice and it was close to Doheny Beach. Would recommend.!

Clean motel, located right near many beach access points. Parking was cramped, but not too bad. I will be staying here again.

Clean rooms, comfy bed and good location. Was only a 20 min walk down to the pier which we did often when the weather was nice. Only thing they can improve on is their breakfast. Only give you oatmeal and bagels. Also loved how the Tv had all the HBO and starz channels so loads of movies to enjoy when we got back to our room.

I love this place. The price is affordable for the area. Its one of the cleanest Roadway Inn's that I have seen. The location is not too far off the freeway and its not too close to the freeway. Which is a plus in my book. The majority of the staff is extreamly friendly. They are very accomidating. No complaints from me. For the price 10/10!

Perfect place to stay if you're from out of state. You can walk to the ocean and food selections nearby are great. Also a few blocks south is a nice local shopping district.

The cleaning crew steals! Management will not do anything about it. They will not even acknowledge your complaint and they will not even have a general concern. Do NOT stay even one hour in this despicable place!

Good room not great. Breakfast that was advertised is just some pastries, quacker oats packets, coffee, and English muffins that you can toast. If you are on a low carb diet like myself these are nonstarters.

It was really clean. It is a nice quaint hotel. I'd recommend it to people on a budget.

I have a Flat tire, need a hotel this was clean, the nigth clerk lady was friendly, and kind, the room was clean, quiet, air condition ok did not have chance to the breakfast but was a pleasant experience.

It's a bare-bones two-star motel. It's clean, it's inexpensive, but don't expect a lot of frills. You may have some interesting neighbors.

So far I was charged $250 for a room advertised at $90. Black people dont spend ur money here. When establishments look at my skin color and use money and cost as a way to keep me out of their establishments I find it disgusting but it keeps happening. I’ll let you know when will be in discriminated out of her mind so that you don’t have to worry about a minute there. It is a nice hotel it’s clean it’s fresh has a safe fridge raider and microwave in the unit the grounds are clean there’s no people hanging out and it is a really nice place. Unfortunately I had to pay more for these calls accommodations and pay the “black skin tax” UPDATE: no lotion no toothbrushes no mouthwash 2 shampoo bottles no conditioner.

Was able to check in early to a very clean room. Staff was very friendly. Door numbering a little confusing.

Room was spacious and clean with microwave, frige and coffee pot. Sliding door to small balcony, although our room had a view of the road it was still nice to step out and get some fresh air. There was a spot right out our entry door where we could see the ocean. Decent water pressure in the shower/tub. Toiletries consisted of cheap motel soap and shampoo, no conditioner or lotion. Breakfast was packaged pastries and nutri-grain bars, which is what I expect from a budget motel. Our room (404) was close to two roads, one of which was pretty busy during the day, but road noise wasn't a problem at all. I would definitely stay again. $107 per night for walking distance to the beach or even shorter walk (. 2 miles) to free shuttle stop. Worth noting: the property has four floors but the elevator only goes as high as the third floor, so if you ask for top floor (as we did) you will have to take one floor by stairs.

Although it is the cheapest hotel in town I couldn't imagine a nicer staff, or more clean room. It was definitely worth the money. The staff was always helpful, and I know without a doubt I'd stay there again.

Stayed over last night, went to use the restroom and a huge spider was caught by the maid (I'm guessing) in a cup. Well they never killed it and it was alive still. Room was musty, AC sucked.

Huge rooms l, bathrooms are awesome too. But don't turn the bedside lamps on unless your wearing sunscreen. They are BRIGHT!

Old dated rooms, bed linen worn out with very basic pillows and simple pullover for warmth. Rooms are dark and dingey. The male manager from Indian continent was friendly to begin with but after taking payment we found the next day to not be bothered by our request to change our bed as it had holes and paint in the sheets. Curtains and nets where filthy dirty in the room also. All in all, you get what you pay for and this property need a complete revamp as currenly it's set in the 1970's.

Staff is friendly and the room was clean. Traffic noise is pretty loud.

Great location, friendly hosts, very swift arrival and departure didn't have to spend time waiting around which was nice. The rooms were good, a bit better than I would have expected for the price. Definitely worth staying at.

Affordable and well-maintained. They even let us check in early, which was very helpful. I would stay there again if I were in the area.

One of the nicer Ridgeway inns I've been to. The roof was clean. It was a non smoking room, but you could tell people didn't care and still smoke. I even found a full cigarette on the floor outside. The lady at check in was friendly. They had breakfast too, but just breads and coffee.

Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. The maids never came and didn't even give us clean towels, but someone obviously came into our room because when we got back around 8PM our door was WIDE open, and had been for hours! Every staff member here is rude. Someone next to us has a barking dog for hours and they didn't do anything about it. Barley any parking, cigarette burns on our sheets in our NON SMOKING room. Overall terrible.

Clean and comfortable. Very close to the beach and a few nice bars. Walking distance to all amenities. Beach walk to the pier is great. Overall a nice little town.

First time staying with my family here and I have no complaints. Will probably book there again. San Clemente is beautiful city.

The internet was down at this location when we arrived so they could not locate our reservation. We showed them our booking info on hotels. Com and they wrote down all of our info. We checked in no major problem. The front desk started calling our room at 830 am to discuss our reservation because they couldn't find it in the computer after their internet came up. We booked a room near the beach to relax. We really did not appreciate getting called 5 times so early in the morning. When we didn't answer the phone they started knocking on the door. When we were finally dressed and made our way to the office the front desk told me we would have to be charged a second time and then call hotels. Com for a refund. I told them that was absolutely unexceptionable as I earn free nights with hotels. Com and I was on vacation. Why is their internet being down need to be an inconvinence me as a guest? Why would I pay a second time when they saw plain as day that I paid? He told me it was so their paperwork would reconcile. Again, not my problem as a guest. Today they charged me a second time. AND they charged me more than hotels. Com did. I've been home for two days and I am still dealing with this. When I called the hotel today they lied to me and told me they already refunded my money and lied to hotels. Com and told them I checked in under a different name. They are refusing to assist hotels. Com in resolving the issue.

Parking is awful! Two handicapped parking spaces only! No shampoo or a clean room. No ice containers! Breakfast was a joke! No coffee, only powered creamer for cereal. Was lucky to get a star at all! Keep looking for the next hotel!

The hotel is conveniently location of the main street leading to Pacific Coast Highway, this hotel is close enough to easily go for a short drive to San Clemente Pier, the hotel is well maintained and rooms are nice and tidy with ample parking, the staff is very accomodating and friendly. It is good value for the area prices offered by other similar hotels.

Found it a little expensive for basically an upgraded Motel 6.

Rodeway inn is in a great location, not far from the 5 freeway. The room, while not spectacular, was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. For a budget hotel, this place is pretty good.

If I could put 0 I would actually put a negative number… This place is absolutely horrible! All of the good reviews must be paid for because I have never stayed in a worse hotel. Let me tell you about just a few of the problems I encountered. First of the is no management available and all the staff is rude and ignorant. Second there is nothing but crack heads not only living in the parking garage of the hotel but also walking the halls. Third the maid staff does not clean the rooms properly. There were dead bugs dirty cups and linen oh and I can't forget the crack pipe in the light and definitely can not forget the full syringe of god knows what left above the bathroom door jam just waiting to fall down for us to step on. Third when staff was asked to come remove said needle they made excuses saying the cleaning crew wouldn't have noticed that… Really really what the mighty hell are you paying these useless people for then. Not only am I staying in a crack house hotel but now it's not the responsibility of your staff to clean up after the crack heads and now I have to pay over $300 for this environment… Where the f is the hidden camera seriously cause you are fing kiding me right!

Great little hotel! So close to beautiful downtown San Clemente. Super close to many gorgeous beaches. The rooms are super clean and big, not fancy, but great! Decent price for a great location!

We chose this location on a lark. It is an older property, nice large, clean rooms. Good value, close to beach, food, shopping. Manager was helpful and efficient.

The owner or night manager is a total ass. Would not let me visit a friend in his room for 10 minutes. Threatened to kick him out of his room. Would not let me park my car nor walk my service dog that I was leaving in the car for the 10 minite visit. Threatening to k8ck my friend out if he didnt follow his rules and when asked what they were was told if you have to ask then he will kick him out. Ridiculous. Would never stay here.

Good value for the money — located near Izza Pizzeria in San Clemente.

We love this hotel. Very close to the beach, reasonable rates, and continental breakfast. The rooms are what you expect for a place like this for the price. We stay here every year.
