Our family of four had such a great stay last summer! Fantastic location, clean rooms and beautiful deck for breakfast. Nice pool. Good prices too! We are hoping to be back soon.

Greg was more than welcoming and helpful at the time of my stay. My visa over charged I called many times before getting him on the phone. He told me he would look into it and never contacted me. I’ve called many times and no answer, tried messaging on Facebook and no response. I’m sure it was a clerical error or innocent mistake. But to be ignored is poor service. And rude.

Best Deal, Best Experience What a great experience! Booked 4 rooms, killer rate, family trip to Pageant of the Masters. From the moment we checked in, manager Greg made sure we were happy and taken care of. The man knows Laguna — and gave us perfect recos for eats and activities. The best… and guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Clean rooms, comfortable beds & pillows, good AC, and fine outdoor terrace to sit and glimpse across street to the ocean — excellent early morning spot (dolphin sightings) and end-of-day place to sit with friends and family to wind down the day. Simple continental breakfast with nice coffee, pastries and real orange juice. We had the best stay possible, and have decreed this as our place for all future Laguna Beach stays!

Cozy. Clean. Ideally located. For what they charge a better breakfast should be available. Other than that its a chill place. Oh and everything is an extra charge :)

Nothing but the best I have to say about this hotel! Greg the manager is awesome! He went beyond to accommodate us on our stay. I highly recommend this place for couples or familys. Thank you so much Greg on behalf of the CARDENAS FAMILY!

Good location, friendly staff but several issues. The first room wasn't clean. The second room, the jets in the tub didn't work. The third room the air conditioner was pretty bad. Overall, in need of an upgrade… but priced accordingly (cheap for the beach). They charge 20 for parking. We went when the free shuttle runs, so that was a nice perk.

Convenient location, close to the beach and a town shuttle stop. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Complaints are that breakfast sucks, no proteins (which is hard if you’re pregnant like I am and need that in the morning) only carbs, and when we first got here to check in, no one was in the main lobby area (or anywhere) and we had to wait 20 minutes before someone showed up. Then the second day something happened and our room cards weren’t working and again no one was in the lobby area so we had to wait about 15 minutes till they showed up. Just bad customer service in that way. Also they charge for parking, which I thought was a little unnecessary. Overall, good place to sleep at night but not sure I’d book again.

Absolutely loved this Inn! No joke…! Craig was awesome from the start… such a genuine man and honestly cared about the Inn! Excellent location. Room was immaculate and very accommodating. We travel often — mainly over nights or weekend getaways — I highly recommend Laguna Beach Inn. You have choices, we had choices — we chose right, you should too! Xoxo.

A great experience very pleasant the have stayed here, since I presented to the reception showed me a lot of kindness and hospitality, the receptionist very kindly explained everything about the Hotel, the rooms are spacious and all very neat and in their Place, very good location in the city of Laguna Beach and with a view to the wonderful beach, plus very close to restaurants of very good quality, I look forward to returning to visit this pleasant Hotel.

This hotel is nasty. There were roaches in the bed! Seriously in the bed! Manager came to the room to remove them and said it's normal for the area to have roaches. The room was small and dark. The bed was lumpy and the pillows are super thin. Wasn't happy with the bathroom either, cracks and rust on the doorframe. The cocking was in need of repair around the tub and sink. Don't stay here cause if you do and have an issue with anything they don't care and won't help you. We immediately checked out even though we had paid for one more night and the refused to refund any money saying they "solved" the problem. What a joke.

This hotel is poorly managed with a customer service policy that is missing to say the least. The front desk remained vacant throughout the entire morning. The breakfast provided nothing but sweets and carb loaded options. The rooms were clean but did not offer enough electrical plugs to recharge phones and other equipment needed for sleeping. One plug was broken as nothing would stay plugged in. We checked late and had to call the number listed on the lobby door no issue there. However we noticed that the toilet in our room did not flush well. We decided to wait until the morning to deal with the issue. We investigated the breakfast area and lobby area and no other restroom could be found so I had to use the one in our room against my better judgment. As feared I used the toilet and it became plugged. The kicker was after spending 30 minutes trying to find someone who worked there to address a plugged toilet he simply handed me a plunger and expected his guest to fix his toilet. I have reached out to management about our concerns and have been given the silent treatment. Guests beware…

Very good location with small bay directly opposite. Chairs and towels for the beach free of charge. Parking spaces available. Recommended for German guests: to get some sausage or cheese for breakfast. Breakfast must be taken in the rooms as there are no seating options.

Greg the GM is the most personable, passionate, & accommodating manager I’ve ever dealt with! Literally across the street & 2 min walk to Woods Cove beach. Walk to downtown from here, ocean views from our deck. For the location, price, & service I will definitely be back when visiting California in the future!

Had previous reservations at Capri at Laguna Beach that were canceled because the staff messed up and ended up walking to find another hotel. Came across this hotel for more then half the price and directly across the street from the beach. The staff are very friendly, The jacuzzi didn't work but soaking in the huge tub made it worth it. Very affordable and in a convinent location! I would stay here 5xs over! Loved it! Staying here 3-18-18 thru 3-21-18 ❤

Great ocean view rooms for a very reasonable price. Breakfast provided is pretty limited, but there's close places to eat around the hotel. Staff was very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. Not enough parking available so if you leave during the day and get back late you'll have to park by the busy street and pay a meter after 8am if nothing opens up. Easy walk to the beach and close to lots of activities. Clean rooms and beds and included a mini fridge and microwave.

I stay in a lot of hotels. This by far is one of the best. Great location, super clean rooms, great staff and great prices for the location. I will continue to stay and refer friends and family. This is the only place I’ll stay when I’m in Laguna Beach. Thank you Greg for the great service.

Very cute, simple motel. Carpet free and the rooms are very clean. Staff very nice, the owner lives upstairs and he's super chill. The room is a bit small but whatever because I can literally cross the street and come to a staircase that brings you to the beach. High tide is too high but at low tide there's a nice little secret cove thing. Some of the rooms have jacuzzi tubs. They have a pool but I think it's unheated. Great rates for the area. This is a bit of a ways from down town but there is a bunch of stuff to do still. Keep in mind that this review is for the winter when tourists are gone. Summer in Laguna Beach is chaos.

On December 30th, 2017 I had the worst experience ever while at this property. I booked a room for the 30th until the 2nd of January at a reasonable rate. Upon arrival I had no inclination anything would be wrong with my booking which I made through an online third party site. When I arrived "The Gay Black Man" told me he had bad news, he had cancelled my reservation. Of course anyone should be upset with a surprise like this so I asked if they were completely booked or if rooms were still available. He let me know he still had a room but it was going to be a lot higher than my original rate. To my disgust he let me know it would be almost 3 times my original rate. He had no sympathy and told me that's it is what it is. He would not honor my booking rate even though it was his fault my room had been cancelled. After listening to him explain how the "hotel industry works" and givining me no information worth listening too I decided to leave. My pregnant wife and 5 year old son were emotionally upset and there was no reason listening to the nonsense coming out of this man's mouth. I have stayed at hundreds of places and used third party sites to book almost every time and have never had a problem like this. It seems like an isolated incident with this man and this property. I would never recommend staying here, for waste your time. There are many more places in Laguna much better to spend your money.

Very nice place and management 2 minutes walking distance to beach.

Loved the place. Rented a beachfront room for a night. Right on the beach. Listened to to he waves all night long. Nice restaurants, laid back community. I'll be back for a weekend stay soon.

Love this place. Its a little bit of a distance from downtown, but it has an outstanding beach at the end of Diamond Street.

Nice accommodations and rooms. Very narrow parking stalls. Minimal breakfast offerings.

We arrived about 10pm at night and l had booked the wrong day… Not good. Sherri at the front desk changed everything and got me set up with the correct day. What a sweetheart, she was amazing. We loved the room we had, it was very clean, we were very pleasantly satisfied with our accommodations. We will for sure be back again… Thank you Sherri.

Undergoing renovations as of 7/17. Hotel is outdated but quaint. Nice view and quiet when no contractors there. Manager was accomadating, staff is nice. Free parking, a cereal/muffin type breakfast. Partial view of ocean, 5m walk down the hill for access.

Loving people and very helpful clean rooms will stay again.

I booked for two nights Monday & Tuesday (today), because my husband was on an out of town job in Laguna, so myself & my 15month old son stayed with him & my son got his first beach experience. Everything was wonderful till my husbands three day job turned into one and a half days. I rushed back to the hotel had my stuff packed up & loaded in my truck by 11:30am & explained why we were staying & how three days turned into two thinking that being honest & up front would get me somewhere & the staff told me there was absolutely nothing they can do. I understand I booked the room, sometimes things come up & we were at the mercy of my husbands job/customer. We are not one to ask for a single thing. We are 27 & 28 years old & we handle every single thing on our own including a house payment & brand new truck payment all while raising our son all on our own. But I thought there could of been a little more done than "I'm sorry" LONG STORY SHORT — I'm paying for a night as I'm sitting on my couch in my living room in my house that I own watching my TV. So I'm not sure if we will be coming back. My personal opinion on this hotel is — It's kind of over priced for what you get. But it is very cute, clean & close to the beach. To each their own.

The room was clean and quaint. I prefer something like this to a newer upscale place anytime. Old Laguna charm! I give the property and location a 4 1/2 only because the staff gets a 5! Thank you Ladies. People like you are one of the many reasons why I miss Laguna so much!

We checked in and woman was rude. This has a great location to beach and shops, but room had mouse droppings and funny smell. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the bathroom had water damage along the wall. Don't think I will stay here again. Had to sleep with the light on.

LOVED this hotel so much! Rooms extremely clean… beds comfy… 1/2 Block to the most beautiful secluded private beach ever … free parking… continental breakfast… Beach supplies for the guests to use was a huge plus! Hotel staff was very very nice! Can't wait to return.

Small rooms are cozy but not very well ventilated. Its easy to get the whole floor wet after a shower, and very difficult to dry up as they give very few towels.

I have always loved this place for its hospitality and location. Perfect for a beach getaway.

I did not end up staying at this hotel, so I can't speak to the rooms. The morning my family was going to travel to Laguna Beach for the weekend, my son got the flu and we stayed home. I called the inn not to ask for a refund, but to see about changing the reservation to another day. The lady that answered the phone was nice but had her supervisor call me back. I would have been fine with a simple "no", but the supervisor was incredibly rude regarding my circumstance and inferred that I was lying. She then took it a step further and said I could have still come if I "really wanted to. " Completely unacceptable, and I can't trust this is a half decent place to stay if the supervisors can't handle a simple phone call in a professional manner.

Had a 3 night 2 day business trip in Orange County. Wanted to stay near the beach. This place was perfect. Clean grounds, rooms were spotless (housekeeping better than anywhere I've stayed in a long time), big bathrooms. Walking distance to very nice restaurants and coffee shops. Staff was great, continental breakfast was great. It is a little late starting at 7:30am (for those whose clock is on east coast time) but hey its the beach. Its laid back! Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a very clean, affordable room across the street from the beach!

Great location, well kept and clean, great value!

This was just what we were looking for. We booked a room with a king size bed that was very comfortable. The room was smaller but with the beach right across the street who needs a huge room anyways. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Plus if you needed beach towels, chairs, or umbrellas they had plenty you can use for free. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The pictures are deceiving, the rooms are really tiny. Amenities are just not there. Example, never any regular coffee in the rooms, only decaf. When asked, they " ran out", (which is why there are stores, management). For the money, that is a small thing to expect. I could go on about the lack of amenities, but not enough space! The continental breakfast is a joke and it doesn't open til 7:30 a. M. Which is inconvenient for a lot of people. Check out was a problem. I asked to put my charges on a different card and the receptionist didn't listen. When I asked to get it straightened out, I got excuses about how they couldn't change it because it was in my husband's name, not mine, and I need a third party authorization. Really? And they tell me this when we are 500 miles away and have to jump through hoops to do it. Don't bother. This is a 59.00 hotel at best. But for 2 nights, it ended up at 311.00. I feel like I wasted my money. Will never stay there again.

This stay was an odd one. The rooms were great, and the cleaning service was phenomenal. Very sweet and helpful. The woman at the front desk could not have been ruder. From the moment we walked in the door, she was degrading and acted like we didn't have the right to be there. Would not recommend this place to anyone — — vacation is too short to let people treat you this way.

Lovely. I love the pool with ocean view. Walking distance from the beach. Kristy and Kimberly are very helpful. They have brochures and recommendations for places to visit and dinning locations. You cannot beat the pricing for the location. I highly recommend it.

We travel to beautiful Laguna frequently from Vancouver and I'm sorry to say that this establishment, facilities and their management does NOT belong in this great community. The rooms smell and are UNSANITARY. The pool is dirty and is NOT maintained. Although there is a BBQ in the pool area, one cannot use it because the propane tanks are always empty and the grills are disgusting! WI-FI NEVER worked. But. The biggest disappointment was and still is quite simply the POOR MANAGEMENT. Don't stay here — it stinks.

Pros: Hardwood floor, clean, very near to the beach (only one street to cross, but no sea view) Neg: Nothinh.

Rooms were very clean. Nice, shiny "hardwood" floors. Management was very nice. Breakfast was very limited but it was free! The beach is about a block away and you can't really see it from the hotel beach, but you can get a glimpse of the ocean. Parking was very convenient. Check online for best pricing! Weekday rates are best, obviously.
