Never got the chance to stay here and now I wont. I was trying to book my sister a honeymoon weekend there but online I was only able to book one night. So I called them to ask if they had the 2nd night available. The guy who answered was incredibly rude, all his answers were short and clipped. He informed me they had gone to long term winter rentals already. I informed him I was able to book at least one night online. He demanded to know the site when I told him he said "well we dont work with them anymore, go ahead and book with them but im declining it. " i thanked him for his help and he said yeah then hung up on me. if my limited interaction on the phone asking a few simple questions is any reflection on how they treat actual paying customers, than id rather book somewhere they value their tenants and treat people decently.

Terry give us a FANTASTIC vacation! Thank you for the amazing day trips. The guides he selected for us were top notch and made this trip memorable and amazing.

This is a great place for a individual, group and family to come and stay. There’s nothing that the lodge can’t arrange or point you toward for a great time. I strongly recommend this ma and pa owned busy for your next trip.

I can’t say enough great things about Salmon Catcher Lodge and Guide Services. This place is amazing. The rooms are beyond perfect and the service is spectacular. If I go back to Alaska this will always be my go to place. You will not regret booking a vacation at this place. It was unreal.

We had the best family weekend here! The owner and staff are amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! The property is away from all the crowds, just a short drive to the Kenai River. The kids had fun on the trampoline. There’s so many amenities available that we didn’t take advantage of, such as sauna, hot tub, massage chairs and workout equipment. We will definitely be back. I stayed up the road from them. I love the environment. Other than that, I can not speak accuracy about the services but hey, why be pessimistic. Experience and then comment.

I'm stayed at Salmon Catcher Lodge twice the lodging is excellent the service as well you can get any number of fishing trips you desire and they will outfit you with the proper fishing gear it's the only place I will stay when I get to Kenai Terry Angie will take good care of you.

Location:Little bit off the main path. We were the to fish the kenai river and for the most part when we were heading out to fish it was 20 to 30 minutes to the fishing spots. There was one fishing access spot about 5 minutes from the lodge. The lodge rooms themselves were great. Clean and good amenities. Community Hot tub. Massage chairs were a bit rough but still nice. And sauna. They had a dinner for everyone to get together one night and that food was amazing. The fishing trips they sent us on were all great apart from the one we took in seward called "vader". No salmon. No halibut. Only rock fish. The fly out to wolverine creek is a must Roth alaska air west. Fly out to the lake, fish and see the bears. Terry the owner and his staff were all very helpful And kind. Adrian would pricess our catch of the day very quickly to keep it fresh. I would reccommend going to Homer to get halibut. We didn't do that and that was my only regret.

Loved this place! Great prices in the late season high during mid summer but it makes sense. Packing for fish available and info on charters.

This place is super comfortable, quiet of course, and beautiful! I was really impressed with the rooms and with the people. Lots of details that are really appreciated even though I didn't use them such as plenty of BBQ grills by all of the buildings, and free used of fishing gear, coolers, etc. I will be staying here again next time I'm in the area.

This place completely blew my expectations out of the water. Family ran and fairly priced. Will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

I first stayed at Salmon Catcher in 2007 and had to come back and this time bring along my son which we did June 4-10, 2017. After reading a few negative reviews I felt the need to weigh in as a repeat guest of Terry and his family. The place is first class as far as the lodging is concerned with nothing but the best from the appliances, bedding and decor. Even the gas grill we used for fresh caught halibut on the deck was top notch. Terry booked three trips as we requested, and each guide was outstanding. We did two float trips on the Kasilof with two different guides (the Kings were not yet plentiful on the Kenai) along with a Halibut trip fishing out of Homer. I really wanted to again fish the Kenai but Terry and his guides suggested timing was not yet right, which I appreciated. I am writing a magazine article right now on our trip, thus felt the need to provide anyone who cares, a recap of my very positive experience with Salmon Catcher lodge, Terry Johnson and his fine family. It is hard to please some folks, as with the few negative posts, so if feedback from someone who has fished and hunted with many great outfitters in many great places matters, we had a second outstanding time! Great Place! Salmon Catcher Lodge is a very comfortable lodge and Terry and his staff are very accommodating! Fun place for both the avid fisherman and familes.

We stayed at the Salmon Catcher Lodge for 5 nights in August, our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Terry and Angie are incredibly hospitable as is the entire staff. The lodge itself is beautiful and comfortable. We arrived at 11:00pm and Terry greeted us with dinner — he said he knew we would be hungry after a long day if travel! They planned our trips with great care; taking into account the desires of all guests. I wanted to see nature, my son wanted to fish — we …both got exactly what we hoped for. Alaska is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited, and I credit that to Terry for encouraging us to take the trip to Crecent Lake and all of the other places we visited. My son and I had a fabulous time. We give Salmon Catcher lodge our highest endorsement.

I stayed the first weekend in October '16 with three of my younger children. It was wonderful! They staff was friendly and the apartment was perfect. Kids loved it so much they want to go back every year. It's a little out of town, however for us that made it that much more relaxing. Thank you for your hospitality.

Amazing staff and great price for what you get.

We stayed at Salmon Catcher Lodge last August. Terry and his staff did a fantastic job of giving us a great fishing vacation. The accommodations are great, the trips he arranged were great, his guides were great. We are hard pressed to eat all the fish we brought back before we return this August.

Girlfriend and I took our first fishing trip to Salmon Catcher Lodge last July. Terry, Angie and Adrienne took care of every aspect of our stay. This is a family run lodge and they take care of every detail of your stay. Seriously, every detail. They arranged all fishing excursions and we dropped fish off at all hours for full service processing right at the lodge. When we left they had everything vacuum sealed and portioned out for us. We saw a moose, multiple caribou and bald eagles from the lodge. There are multiple public fishing areas on the Kenai river within minutes of the lodge. The Kenai peninsula was so beautiful we named our dog after it! We are still enjoying what’s left of our smoked salmon 6 months later. I highly recommend a stay with the Johnson’s at Salmon Catcher Lodge and will be planning my next trip up there with him soon.

Terry and his crew made our Alaska experience better than we could have imagined. I took my son and son-in-law for the great fishing experience to Alaska and Salmon Catcher Lodge. From the time we arrived until we left, Terry and his crew did all they could to make our trip memorable. The lodge is comfortable, well designed, and very picturesque. Terry set us up with very capable guides who, though we arrived between the sockeye and silver runs, put us in the best spots. They patiently taught us the fine art of the "Kenai flip" and we regularly caught our limit. We float fished the Kenai, ocean fished for Halibut, lingcod, salmon, and rock fish. It was exciting and we loved every minute. Also, it was shameful how much fish we brought home.
