Hometown Inn is a great place, I came here on business and stayed for a few days and the place is great. All the staff is fantastic from the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!. The entire hotel is dedicated to America. The hotel does a great job celebrating the armed forces. The hallways and staircases are decorated with movie posters, artwork and historical facts all about America's history. The lobby has some great books on American history, presidents, and cards. This is one of the best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in. Look forward to coming back when I am in town. Stayed here this weekend and had a great stay. This place is a diamond in a rough. If I could rate this hotel a 0 I would. The customer service is terrible! I called 10 times because I was hung up on. I also contacted BBB. Each time I called they picked up the phone and hung up. I also have it recorded. The a. C. Was not working properly in the room. This hotel could be better if staff was trained properly. That is funny that the owner acknowledged low down lying staff. Phone recordings do not lie in which I do have. Also no one came to the room. Before the owner responded just maybe the cameras should have been reviewed and it would have been seen no one came to the room. Anything is being said to make the hotel staff look good. This is not my first time staying here. The first time staff was great. This time no way. Then to read the owner response to take rudeness from the staff is very unprofessional. Please stay away from this hotel. As many can see the owner took offense for staff who was rude. The comment speak for itself. I never raised a voice. Now I see why the staff is like they are! I never changed my story. Working in a position where you are, your customer service skills are awful as well. The best way to have handled this was to contact me directly vs going back and forth and a resolution could have been solved however you are piggy backing off of how your staff treated me as a guest. I will further escalate this incident and there is no need to continue to talk to me on the review form. Your staff did not come to my room. The A. C.

What a wonderful place to stay. The staff is extremely helpful and Terri at the front desk was very nice to talk to during my delicious breakfast (A real breakfast not donuts and muffins). Lela who takes care of the breakfast area asked serveral times if I needed anything. Oh and the coffee was yummy. The hotel is beautifully decorated in what I would say I'm PROUD to be an American. You just feel good walking into the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Thomasville, AL Thanks.

The hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly, and they have a continental breakfast. The hotel carries a strong USA vibe. The beds SUCK!

This place is awesome. I have never seen a place like this dedicated to the greatness of America and the Armed Forces. The hotel lobby is decorated beautifully with the American Flag, pictures of all the presidents and first ladies, great books on America's history. They have these fantastic decorative vintage gas stations in the lobby. The rooms were clean and the tv's are mounted on the wall so when you are sitting in the recliner, watching TV is a great experience. The staff was fantastic, every staff member talked to me. I had a great stay and look forward to coming back to see what test I need to pass or what song I need to sing to get my 10% discount of the regular rate. 08/23/2016: Had to go to Thomasville again and stayed at the Hometown Inn and the staff was fantastic and as usual the room was clean. Breakfast was great. They also have some new artwork all over the hotel and it looks great. Look forward to coming back here just to keep seeing all the changes being made.

All American you can teach a American history class here in the halls. I love it!

This place was awesome and very very patriotic. Vet parking and American patriotism pictures all over the walls.

Very nice hotel, the first thing that grabbed our attention is the soul of loyalty and amount of love towards the American flag and of course towards the history of the USA, the decoration is the corridor is fabulous, the frames are very well organized on the walls, we like (patra), the girl at the front desk, she was very helpful and smiling all the time. If you are going to stay in Thomasville, I highly recommend this nice hotel.

It is not just a hotel, it was an experience. The historically themed art and decor spread throughout the entire building are fabulous. The staff was professional and limitlessly welcoming. The variety included in the breakfast buffet makes for a perfect wake up from a well rested night. Thomasville is definitely small town, but unlike some rural places the evening didn't have to end just because the sun went down. The award winning Big Mike's was just a skip away, offering the finest steaks in Alabama. Yet for all day family dining, Gaston's is literally steps from the hotel lobby, where the country style cuisine took me back to Grandma's house. But for a bit of night life, Gaston lounge proved to be a safe haven, and couldn't have been more conveniently located. With shopping, dining, and entertainment all within walking distance, The Hometown provided everything I needed for the perfect stay.

This is by far one of the nicest stays we have ever had at at motel, the staff was awesome, breakfast was very very good, the room was extremely clean and nice. We were there to attend a funeral an the entire staff was so sweet an helpful, we couldn't have asked for a nicer stay.

I just checked out today and did not want to leave. It was a great place. I believe the owners are great patriotic Americans and they sometimes work there. The staff is great, I can't complain they are friendly and eager to help. When you stay at some hotels you are treated to a muffin and a cup of bad coffee. Not here I was surprised to see the abundance being offered for breakfast. Nice and tasty! Tour the hallway and learn a little something about our country. I will tell you this, make a reservations ahead of time because they do fill up fast. For a restaurant choice 3 guys pie and Big Mike's steakhouse are about it. It's a small town so it's mostly fast food. If you find yourself in the area then stop by and say hi and look around. You'll be glad you did.

My family and I have stayed at Hometown Hotel each time we visit Alabama. We were there twice this year. January 2017 and November 2017. In January the employees at the hotel were pleasant, friendly and very professional. We were looking forward to our next trip and staying in this hotel. We just went and stayed in Hometown Hotel in November. Our stay was not so good. Let me say there was two very nice front desk ladies and one very rude front desk worker. I must mention one of the front desk employee named Tiffany. She was so very nice, very professional and went the extra mile. She made our stay better. My complaint was our rooms were not cleaned. The trash can in our rooms were emptied but trash seem to be empty on the floor. Bed were not made up. When I complained it was horrible. We will be going back to Alabama next year in March but I think we will try another hotel.

Poor cs. The staff is very unknowledgeable & failed to disclose certain information. When I got to my room, the bathroom smelled as if someone just pooped in it & I am not lying the toilet was NOT clean. Upper management was horrible with disgusting attitudes. I'm not sure what's more disgusting, their attitudes or the rooms. They didn't even have elevators. This hotel is NOT a 1, 2, 3, 4 nor 5 star hotel. It is so obvious it is a 0 star hotel. I would stay in my car before I go back to that hotel.

I booked a room and hated it! The toilet was clogged and the maintainence person would not be there for several hours. The hotel would not move me to another room with working toilet then when I asked for a refund the police were called and I was kicked out of the hotel without being compensated for the night. I got to the hotel around 1pm and was kicked out at 9 pm not to mention no maintainence person ever looked at the toilet. At this point I had to drive to pick up my daughter then drive with my 7 year old back to chattanooga, tn. Didnt get home until 3 am. Worst experience with a hotel ever. I will never return.

Booked a room for 11 am. The room wasn't ready till 3pm. Once I got the room, eventually I had to use the bathroom, and the toilet was not working. Upon reporting it to the front office they told me they would call back. I waited an hour then called them back, but they hung up in my face. I calmly went to the front office and calmly requested maintenance assistance for a new room. They laughed at me and told me to wait for maintenance and they had no rooms available. I watched them check in 2 more people and instead of a maintenance man showing up an hour later the police arrived. They ws told to escort me out, there was 4 officers, but 3 of them left because they felt like I was acting civil, calm and only 1 officer stayed behind to make sure things did not escalate. I had paid cash and let them hold my card in order to get a room at this hotel, but they charged me twice. I requested a receipt for both charges and the officer after escorting my girl friend and I out the building was kind enough to assist me in getting receipts. They claimed they couldn't do a receipt for my card charges even though I showed them my bank account on my phone where the charge was clearly posted. The Officer was the best, he showed empathy, told me to report it to the bbb or civil court. After that I had to drive from Alabama back to Tennessee in the middle of the pitch black night because that hotel stay took up most of my funds to take my girl friend and here child to her grand dad's funeral.

Room wasn't ready till 5 hours after the time the time we booked it for. The staff were extremely rude and the cost is extremely pricey for what you get, including a deposit hold of the cost of the room which may not come off your card. The room door lock was damage and bathroom was filthy.

Stay there 2 weeks ago staff was great. Price was good. If I'm ever in thomasville I will definitely stay there. Even the breakfast was good.

The hotel is nice but it could have been cheaper. I'm a state employee and I don't get much monetary allowance for room and board when out of town for work and the staff wasn't willing to give us a discount. The beds aren't very comfortable, the Wi-Fi is terrible, and the walls are very thin; I could hear every noise my neighbor made.

It was clean but kind of sketchy.

The hotel I was staying, which is named Comfort Inn, said that they were going to be moving furniture in the morning about five and it shouldn't affect us except for a little noise. They handed me a paper stating so so I read it and I said okay. The next morning I got woken up by the sound of furniture being moved from the room above me about 5 o'clock. I ignored it and went back to sleep. I got woken up again at 5:30 by somebody pounding on my door. I got up and there was nobody there so I went back to bed. About 10 to 15 minutes later I get a phone call and it's the Hotel manager. She tells me that I need to leave my room so they could move furniture in and out of it. I told her that I was still sleeping and there was nothing said about me about leaving the room early in the morning. I also mentioned to her that I had rented the room and I should have it in until 11 o'clock. I then hung up on her. Two minutes later there were a lot of people outside my door making lots of noise so I could not go back to sleep. I then got up and packed my bags. After a few minutes I stormed out of my room, pissed because I got woken up early. I went to the front desk. I proceeded to tell the ladies at the front desk how unhappy I was and asked them not to charge me for the night and it was rude of them. A man from the back room came out and asked me what he could do for me.

The motel is exelent, cause I stayed there before.

To begin with they would not take my coporate discover card. The bed side lamp was unplugged. The bed was uncomfortable. The ac/heat unit came off and on all night and woke me up. The guy next door was snorning so loud I could go back to sleep. The walls must be paper thin. I think Choice Hotels should remove this Comfort Inn from their listings. I would not recommend staying at this one. Try the Quality Inn next door. I think it is much nicer. Oh yeah, they don't have an elevator only stairs.

Staff unresponsive to concerns. Comfort Inn should pull the name from this uprofessional establishment. Have to move the staff out of the way to get to the breakfast or to sit in the lobby… they have a lock on both sites. Family of the employees hangs out at all hours of the hotel.
