Spacious rooms and nicely decorated, great staff, nice gym and the breakfast was above average. I definitely would recommend this hotel.

Great staff, great breakfast, comfy and great room except mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. And the bathroom door wasn’t closed easily. However, we enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and our room enough!

Clean, comfortable rooms. Prompt response to a maintenance request. Great breakfast. Super friendly personnel. Yes, there were one or two MINOR signs of age in the bathroom, but no more than my own home. Best price in the area for this level of hotel. Would stay here again!

The staff here are very helpful and friendly. I can't say enough good about them. I think the owner might be holding back on repairs, maintenance and amenities. Our air conditioner cooled fine and the room was comfortable. However when it shut down it's let's out a pitiful cry like a puppy whining… needless to say it interrupted our sleep. The coffee maker in our room was missing a part so it didn't work. They only left two single serving pods if it did, but one was decaf… We dropped something and found quite a lot of debris under the couch. The carpeted floors in the hallway was dirty as if they weren't vacuumed. The mattress was very comfortable. The shower was only lukewarm when I had it on full hot. The breakfast is ample. The coffee in the lobby is weak, you can see the bottom of the cup. Two of our windows have lost their seal and are frosted over, the other windows look out onto a beautiful pond, especially in the morning.

The Wyndham hotel in Monterey Alabama is very racist. From the moment I made it there the manager was rude and disrespectful. After I checked in he followed me from my car to the room be disrespectful. I was there 10 minuets and decided to check out. The hotel looks nothing like the picture. I wouldn’t even gave them a star but that’s the only way to post the review. I wouldn’t recommend no to this hotel. I wouldn’t even send my enemy to this hotel. I give this hotel a — star.

Our visit was wonderful! The reception staff were more than helpful at making us feel comfortable and at home. If I'm ever in Montgomery again I would definitely stay there.

It's a good place to be especially their waterfront where one can sit and reminence. Good room and bathroom. They should add more variety to the breakfast.

We booked a room with a sleeper sofa so my son would have a place to himself. When we showed up, they gave us a standard king room and told us our room was given to someone else. When we asked for an upgrade, they told us the hotel was completely sold out and there was nothing they could do. The AC unit was broken in our room and the shower was not very clean. I still have not heard anything back from management regarding my stay. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The WinGate hotel is a great one. I give them 5 stars. The double room I had was sooo nice. There is cable a swimming pool and Wi-Fi. This is a great place for the children.

Suite was marginal at best. Bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub in out with a control completely removed with a hole in the tub. Remote control for bedroom TV did not control cable channels. Unable to change. Window look like it had white paint over it so could not see out.

Room was large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Check in easy. Staff was friendly. Professionally run hotel. I would certainly stay here again.

Wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable! It can be a little hard/confusing to find the hotel from the street though.

Great hotel, great food, great service love it.

Worst experience I have had in a hotel. We travel several weekends a month with my daughter playing softball and our entire team had issues with this hotel. We had no hot water, our softball players were taking cold showers after being on the ball field all day, management claimed it was because there were so many people there. I've never heard of such in a hotel and even at 5:30 am there was no hot water. The management controlled the air and we sweated every night in November and the breakfast was horrible and not stocked and the breakfast area was unclean looking. I will not return. I only gave it one star because it won't let me post without any stars.

The door knob to our room was messed up so it was a game trying to figure out how to get it, our room smelled horribly, we had no hot water, the heater wouldn’t come on and we put the air up to 78 and still froze all night, and the breakfast was terrible. No spoons, the toaster didn’t work, and the eggs smelled like dog food. We travel every single weekend and I have only complained and given one other hotel a bad review, so I would say I am easy to please. But this was ridiculous.

Lobby upon entrance absolutely breathe taking, haven't had breakfast yet. Just arrived, wish the tube was a little more updated; not enticing enough to take a bath (stained) … room itself is nice and bed is comfortable. Thank you for elevator, some hotels Ive been in have several stories with no elevator! Go figure!

I have stayed at this property many times in the past and have found the establishment just fine. Cozy beds and clean rooms with nice eminities. This time however left a bit to be desired. The AC refused to stay on, the floor in the bathroom was in poor shape and the jetted tub was gross and non operable. No idea why I got this room but will not be asking for any "upgrades" again.

Had booked a king bed online. Receptionist offered two beds for us. Rooms were nice, clean. Newly renovated. Nice pond in back with geese residents. Outdoor pool was too cold for us. Breakfast will be delicious in the am.

Amenities were good, room was nice (minus a couple floor tiles that were loose, room 314) Employees were exemplary! Lobby and conference room were musty. Room seemed like the floor creaked some when getting out of bed (seemed like water damage) and also noticed in another conference room that the ceiling tiles and frame were collapsing. I think a major internal overhaul might be needed due to water damage BUT IM NOT A PROFESSIONAL. Owner needs to react!

Front desk was very courteous and efficient during check in. Bed was delightful and plush. Needed after a long drive in. Thanks fir a good quiet night sleep.

Just don't! Never been in Montgomery before, wanted to stop and take my kids to the zoo, so we stayed the night here even though my husband was hesitant about the area. Hotel was okay at best. Room smelled like mildew and the carpets weren't clean. The bathroom was dark since a bulb was burned out and the door blocked the bathroom toilet and shower. Was parked in front and then ate at a restaurant and had to park on the side when we returned. Ate breakfast and checked out. Walked to my car and glass covered the ground. Our window was busted out and numerous items stolen. The SUV beside us was also broken into. I notified the front desk and she just looked at me. Didn't even notify the other driver that their car was vandalized. I found it odd we had to name our car make, color and model. Long story short, the hotel was sub par and now I'm out the bill to stay and the cost to replace my children's stolen items from the car. Plus my auto insurance will go up for making a claim… The police said they would check the cameras, "but last week they weren't working. " Bad area! Go with your gut on this one. I'll never get my peace of mind back and we have to drive 12 hours back with plastic over the window since no one can get to it for 4 days.

The entrance to the hotel from the street was a bit confusing. Have to turn into another business in order to get to the drive for the hotel. No signs indicated where to turn for the hotel. The hotel was busy and the front desk person was very nice upon check in even when another guest tried to cut in line. The room was very spacious and comfy. The breakfast was plentiful and hot. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel and to the side for small and large vehicles.

Nice hotel. Room was pretty clean and comfortable. We had a few minor complaints but I feel like it's a reasonably priced room with good amenities like a microwave and small refrigerator really makes up for it. Beds weren't the most comfortable though.

Beautiful modern rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Employees made us feel right at home. Delious breakfast. Sweetest view of the lake. Ducks and geese were beautiful. Would not hesitate to stop there again. Loved it!

Absolutely impressed! We're just passing through and made a reservation. Location is great, near plenty of restaurants and right off of the interstate. The staff is very welcoming and very accommodating. This will be our "go-to" any time we come through this area!

Dirty rooms, dirty towels, ac units are filled with mold, shower drain is clogged so had to take a shower in my own dirty water, worst part is this is the room they moved us in after after we complained about the dirty beds in the first one. Will never stay here again.

Under renovation as of feb2016 that's probably a good thing because the place is old and needs a lot of help. Ask for a room on the backside if you can get it because it backs up to a river and is quieter. The highway is pretty loud up front. Breakfast was slightly stale and cold. Shower was warm then cold then hot. I expect a little better from a Wyndham Wingate but lately I'm seeing that most of them are hit or miss and not nearly as reliable as there Hampton Inn counterparts. Get well soon Wingate.

My family had been through a lot and unfortunately had been in the area for a loved one's funeral. I'm reading reviews about the staff here and just thinking, "where are all these people? " The staff here, some Shanquetta woman in particular, treated me as some common criminal that just walked in off the street. Between repeatedly asking me if I was a guest with the hotel after I had already verified that I was indeed a guest and then making up rules such as, "Guests are not usually allowed in the lobby after 10 pm, " I don't see myself returning to the Montgomery Wingate by Wyndham any time soon, and I'll be sure that my family and friends do the same. This is ridiculous.

Well at first the room was disgusting, hair all over the bathroom floor and faucet unbelievable. Within minutes of calling the front desk, Veronica upgraded our room for us and was very professional with excellent customer service.

My experience was not a great one. The front desk staff was great, but my room was not as great. My bathroom was filled with mold and when I called down to the front desk, they moved me to another room and ended up with the same problem mold in the bathroom and the toilet was filled with tissue. I will not be back at all. And the bed was not so comfortable to sleep in.

Wonderful! Babe and I really enjoyed our stay! We were thinking about booking at an expensive hotel, but we are more than sure Wingate was the better choice! The beds are so comfy, the breakfast is great, and the staff is WONDERFUL! If you're looking to stay here, you're in for a wonderful surprise! :).

Have stayed here several times on our way through Montgomery and it's been good every time. Beds with memory foam mattresses allow a great night's sleep. Breakfast is good. Staff is nice and attentive. Worth trying.

This was my first time to stay here. Everybody was really nice and the rooms was even better. This is my new place to stay in Montgomery recommend it to anybody.
