Never book with Hotwire I thought I was getting perimeter but instead I ended up at this dump. Never Again this place should be condemned. And Hotwire should be held accountable.

Now under a new General Manager. You will have a better stay at Extended Stay America. ALL ARE WELCOME! If you are a guest you will be treated like family. They are willing to work with you on any common problems within the means of Extended Stay America.

Ok I get it, lightening is beyond the control of anyone, but you should tell prospective tenants there are issues. Only after taking my money (allegedly) we were told there was no Wi-Fi. For a business person this would have been fail! For a parent with two younger children 3 & 7 this was unbelievable! We checked out the 19th of June, come to find out it wasn't until the 24th before they actually processed my payment. So they called me stateing my card won't go through. So I was like oh ok idk why but use this card… OMG now I have to log into their web site and authorize the payment. Well I wish I had,. She tells me my total is 74.02, when I know it supposed to be 84.99. So I said I would do it. After I hang up I realized she wrote my card number down on the 18th maybe she wrote it wrong? I called back and asked her about it. She asked me what the total was supposed to be… I told her 85 she says hold on… After about 90 second she comes back and says it's all good thank you and basically hung up on me. Two stars is probably one to many. Won't be staying here again anytime soon.

Very roof staff, rampant prostitution and drug abuse. They claim they are pet friendly but make sure you don’t want through the lobby because you might be put on the do not rent list. As well as don’t lose your key more than once or the same thing might happen. The first floor smells like a Middle Eastern buffet left over for two weeks. Also they charge $150 pet deposit that is nonrefundable which I believe is ridiculous unless your dog does some damage.

The accommodations are ok, but the fact that they are pet friendly is stellar. Bring your own bath soap but they'll supply anything else you need. Very friendly staff.

Accommodation good, price reasonable, setup of building is a bit challenging n no help available to handicapped or physically challenged.

They allow dogs here but do not force the owners to pick up afterwards. As far as take and go breakfast they offer, coffee, cheap tea bags, Oat meal bags and 3 flavors of quick bars. Unfortunately, I booked it for 2 weeks.

My experience was not ideal! The Lobby attendant closed the lobby early and I didn't get a chance to check in despite having paid for my room in advance. Unable to check in and unfamiliar with the area, I drove around until I found another extended stay which was 2 miles away. Luckily the attendant was very kind and accommodating. He got me a room right away. That guy was awesome.

It was pretty good. Not horrible. My bed was not good. Pillows horrible. Light flooded under the door from the hallway. Although my room was non smoking… hallways smelled nasty and like cigarettes. The place was inexpensive and clean and well maintained.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Extended Stay America Hotel while my apartment was being renovated! The room was very spacious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and you can tell they take pride in what they do. My children loved the little breakfast nook they offered down in the office area! They offered assorted muffins, as well as granola bars, instant oatmeal, tea, hot chocolate, and a dark and light roast coffee. This hotel is definitely worth every penny!

Super nice employees worked out great being close to grand view medical center.

This hotel was so unacceptable. The first room we checked in was not properly clean there were tobacco residue on the nightstand. The front desk timely changed us to a room three doors down and lo and behold. A roach greeted us at the door.

At first we thought we had a good room and we loved it… until we found a roach on the back of our bathroom door. The maintence man sprayed our room… Then found another roach in the door of the REFRIGERATOR! How it got in there is beyond me… but we are utterly disgusted and are being moved to a different extended stay (I'm sure I'll still be disappointed though) …

Very pleasant front desk attendant. Advised me on a great restaurant nearby. Great value and close to my work destination. Conveniently located next to a shopping area, Fresh market and Target. Nice rooms. Easy access to my car. Very quiet. I had a Good night's sleep. Lobby and restaurant seemed very nice too.

No elevator, chairs in room were filthy, hallways and room in disrepair, no bellhops for bags.

Ridiculous how bad ppl are rating this hotel. It is cozy and comfortable for the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for?

I don't know why the reviews are so bad. For the price its good. I come to Birmingham about 3 times a month to visit my gf. We have stayed in several hotels. Decided to try this one even though we where worried about the reviess reviews. But as soon as we walked in the service was just as good or better than anywhere else. Everything in the room works. And it's nice. Does not smell bad. And it has a kitchen. The Wi-Fi works. It's actually Alot better then the la quinta we stayed in and Holliday express. Especially for the price. I think people just love to comolain. I will be staying here from now on when I come visit.

I would like to begin this rating by stating how greatly disappointed my family and I were by Extended Stay America's accommodations. We are here for work related reasons. When making our decision to stay here we believed that we had made the decision in staying in safe environment; however, we were proven wrong on our arrival. When entering the hotel the suggestions on signs in the parking lot and writing on the door suggest to remove all valuables and to keep vehicles locked. Let me inform you that we paid in advanced (online) for a month long stay. Therefore, we could not be reimbursed. Since being here we have experienced: putrid smells in the entrance ways/hall ways (as well as animal feces), slamming of doors, constant beeping from expired batteries in smoke alarms (which, by the way, were still beeping to the day of our departure), rude and informative staff, suspicious activity in the parking lot, and out dated equipment in the rooms. The staff management believes he is friends with the "residents" and stands on the side of the building smoking and making jokes on a daily basis. He is extremely unprofessional. This location is on hwy 280. This highway experiences heavy to extremely heavy traffic. The only other way to describe this hotel is comparing to the setting of a jail. I believe if corporate of Extended Stay of America knew of the activity and saw the accommodations of this location they would be abashed and ashamed.

I like my room. I feel safe. It's pretty nice for such an inexpensive hotel. No sign of bugs, drugs or hoes as noted in another review.

This is a drug infested, nasty, house of prostitution… do not under any circumstances stay here. You would be safer and cleaner to live under a bridge on the interstate…

Had bed bug in both my room been staying here for a year they move me outta one room with bed bug in it into a room 210 320 with more in there then house kepting came change my sheet and didnt even see the nest of bed bug yes people a fycking nest of bed bug.

The pics are completely misleading. Not at all what I'm looking at. Decor is approximately 30 yrs old.

The staff was very friendly and the full kitchen was a major plus. The overall layout of the room was far better than I thought it would be! Price is wonderful for everything you get. Highly recommended.

I was originally to stay two weeks. After a week, I was looking for another place to stay. The dryers in the laundry room do not work, no change for the laundry room, no parking, and no internet service. You might want to find another place to stay.

I stayed in the Studio Plus on Cahaba Park Circle for close to a month while I waited to close on a home. It was challanging to work for my hotel room as the internet connection was all but non-existent. When I mentioned the problem to the front desk, they said they know and that it was always slow. I attempted to pay my entire bill up front, but they prefer to charge my card weekly. When the week was up, my card inactivated; on a Sunday. I was locked out of my room until the desk clerk could come re-activate my card by charging me for the following week. I asked him if I could expect to be locked out of my room next week same time and he just chuckled. So. Is that a yes? Working Professionals. Don't bother. Spend the little bit extra to go elsewhere. There are plenty of other hotels in the same area.
