No microwaves in the rooms, and the refrigerator is very small very surprised to see the bathroom in the bedroom area, and not in the bathroom.

The rooms was large and roomy, but kept having problems with the toilet every since we first got there. First time flushing, it kept backing up.

Love this place. Very friendly staff and the rooms are wonderful.

This is always a great place to stay. They have great customer service and the rooms are always class and comfortable. It's also close to plenty of places to shop and dine.

Clean rooms, nice staff, breakfast. Great part of town. Hyatt hotel group is consistent in quality of their hotels and that makes it a quick easy choice.

Didn't have room ready by an hour past check in time. The hostess was pretty rude… ended up having to take a handicapped room just to have somewhere to get ready. Was a good room, probably bigger than a normal room but no bathtub and I was pretty bummed about that. I had my bubble bath with me and wanted me and my husband to be able to use it!

Stayed here for a week while my daughter attended ODP at the University of Montevallo. The hotel was about 30 min from the school which was any easy drive against the flow of traffic. The Hyatt Place was clean. We like them because they have 2 twins and a sofa bed in a sitting area. There was a desk for me to work at, refrigerator in the room, hot breakfast included and a late night snack bar/ night cap bar.

This hotel is very nice. The rooms were very clean, the complimentary Wi-Fi was fast, the housekeeping service was wonderful, the Starbucks and small bar downstairs with drink tickets was nice, the gym and pool were clean and the hotel front desk clerks were so friendly. I highly reccomend this place for your next stay.

This is the place I like to stay when I come to Bham. The staff is very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. The environment is great and the food is good. Each day there is a different dish on the breakfast menu with much to choose from. The housekeeping is great and the room service. Plenty of places all around to get something to eat. Very nice restaurants right across the street and a movie theater. A lot of shopping plazas, so if you run out of something, it's right near by. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone.

Amazing staff, super comfortable beds, and very easy to get. Surrounded by amazing stores and right across from a movie theater.

My room was gorgeous. The included breakfast was a plus! Great pool, wonderful staff!

Rooms are nice, staff is friendly. There is a breakfast, but my schedule and sleep pattern didn't allow me to partake of the edibles… Lol. It looked tasty on the plates of others.

The room was beyond filthy, the bed was covered in hair when we arrived and the vanity and tub were caked in dirt. After returning home, they ran the transaction on my credit card five times claiming a glitch with the express checkout and are unwilling to correct it and the manager will not respond to my email. My family stays in hotels every weekend because my son plays travel ball and I have never seen anything anywhere close to this. Do yourself a favor, stay at one of the other 5 hotels within this block in Hoover. (I wish I could attach photos so you could see this hotel’s standards of cleanliness. )

Room was clean enough and functional. Location is quite good. Parking is plenty I'm sure for weekdays but was pretty packed on the weekend. Breakfast ok.

This hotel was nice; stayed one night for daughter’s graduation the next day in Tuscaloosa. Room was clean and I liked the way it’s arranged, especially the sofa. One thing worth mentioning: Upon arriving around 11:45pm I was unpleasantly surprised to find the back entry-door unlocked, making it possible for ANYONE to come into the hotel; and yet the next morning, when everyone is moving about and it’s safe, they had it locked! Smh. Because of that I would have liked to have given 4.5 ⭐️.

We had a great stay! Staff was friendly. The room was really nice and the bed was super comfortable. There was some nose that we could hear, but it was a great stay overall!

Nice rooms when they aren't under construction. Don't expect to have a beer at the bar unless you want to pay $6.50 for just a bottle of beer. How are you going to mark up beer that much when you can go to the store and get 6 for the same price as one. I've had issues with the air conditioners every time that I stay here. It doesn't seem like the rewards membership means anything at all. You don't get anything out of it, and I stay weeks at a time.

I'm really glad we chose to stay here. Currently there are renovations in progress, but other than a few scattered barricades and the occasional worker we couldn't tell. We were given one of the recently remodeled rooms, and honestly it was better than anticipated, especially for the price point. The staff were very courteous. The breakfast provided every morning is perhaps the best I've had while staying on the road. The lobby and eating areas were nice, and perhaps the only thing close to negative was that with the large sports team staying there at the time the staff had a little difficulty keeping the tables cleaned quickly. Not a big deal, especially with such a large crowd. This was our first time staying at a Hyatt Place, but it experience here will make us consider this chain for lodging in our future travels.

I stayed there for business — they are under construction. The room was dusty but the reason I gave them 4 stars is because of how well they handled it. They went above and beyond to make me happy. Specially the housekeeping manager. Thank you.

The only redeeming quality about this place is the service. Basic Commodities? None except your basic free breakfast and Wi-Fi. Booked a room that was supposed to have a microwave, no microwave. Found hair in the bed and the shower, and a used towel stuffed in a drawer. Construction is going on and it is very loud, can hear it through the wall loud and clear. Will never come back and I do not recommend unless you enjoy the soothing sounds of hammers and electric tools.

I stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt in Hoover. My room was very nice it had everything I needed, very relaxing and clean. The bed was a little bit soft but overall was still good. Location was fantastic right across the street from Galleria Mall. Lots of good places to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, staff was excellent took care of my every need will definitely be back.

No issues overall. Maintains the Hyatt standard and people are friendly and helpful. Very good location. Took 1 star off as the room are a bit oddly shaped and look smaller overall. No issues otherwise. Would stay here again and also recommend. Location is best part about the Hotel.

At Check-in I was giving the first available room unfortunately that doesn't mean it was the best room. As member I expected to be upgrade to a nicer/ newer room once the room I requested on a HIGHER floor was open. However that didn't happen. The room was a little banged up but not horrible. The cleaning woman came everyday but never took out the trash. The bed was comfy as always thank God! The breakfast prepared didn't offer balanced vegan selections other than some fruit. This visit compared to my first time staying at this hotel has went down however the staff were nice and helpful. Sadly someone charged me twice for my stay on the 30th and were unable to refund me because they couldn't find evidence that they charged me so I had to call my credit card company to correct it. I probably wouldn't stay in Hoover anymore because it was at least 25 mins from everything I needed to take care of for business.

Room was fine. Good location. Forgot my wedding ring on bedside table and no one seemed concerned. Manager never returned call. Housekeeping finally did call hours layer and said it was not found. My carelessness and didn't expect anyone to be honest to turn in my wedding ring, but management appeared unconcerned and did not return call.

Stayed here 4 nights and we absolutely loved it! Huge bedroom area and separate sofa area and writing desk. The courtesy breakfast was awesome and the employees were so nice and helpful. The price for our room was so unbelievable that I actually double-checked my statement! We are looking forward to our next visit to Alabama so we can stay here again.

The staff is great! However, the hotel is going through renovations. I experienced two bugs in my room, dirty carpet, and dirty furniture!

Just No. I've stayed at Hyatt Places all over the country and this was more in line with a Motel 6. I checked in for a three day stay. On day one, I laid down on the bed and the headboard fell off the wall and landed on my head. It fell so hard, it broke into pieces, and knocked the night stands half off the wall on the way down. I went to the front desk and the person I talked to wanted to make jokes about it. I was hoping for a new room, but he came up and "reattached" the headboard for about 30 minutes instead, while I tried to work. On night two, one of the damaged night stands gave out while I was sleeping. I woke up to a collapsing sound as my phone and glass of water clattered to the floor. The door handle to the room was half broken, the corners of the bathroom were mildewed/moldy, the wallpaper was peeling. They did get some of the Hyatt Place experience right, at least. The breakfast is good and the lobby is clean.

This was a very very nice pleasant hotel to stay in. Rooms were spacious. Staff was very attentive. Location could not have been more perfect.

Our family reunion was here, and we had a good time. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. House keeping was great and the outdoor pool was really fun when the weather was OK. I wish they had an indoor pool and a hot tub. I wish the showers were set up different like updated, but they were clean. The room was clean, and everything was working. The only thing the room was missing was a microwave. I was told later in my stay that there was a main microwave downstairs. Check out was very easy, the only problem I wasn't told about the extra 30 dollar fee added to my bill for incidentals, but that I would get the 30 dollars back at a later date.

This is probably one of the worst hotels that in have ever had to stay at. The smell in my room was musty and like a mildew smell. The rooms are definitely not worth $125 bucks per night. I tried to leave but Bria, and the manager saved the day for my kids and I. They are the only reason why this. Place got any stars at all. Thanks Bria. You sweet attitude, and willingness to make things right for us is what customer Service is all about. They provided dinner to compensate for the inconvenience of having to change our room several times. Would I stay here again… No. Not until they finish renovations that are supposed to start in 2 mos.

Our stay at the Hyatt was very nice. The room was clean and fresh. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a free Continental breakfast that had fresh cooked food. They also had a 24/7 room service and coffee bar with pre packaged foods. There was a nice computer area and a pool. I would recommend this hotel for it's cleanliness and for the helpfulness of it's staff.

We are a family of 3 and we booked a room with a King sized bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed doesn't have the fitted sheet on it. The mattress on the sofa bed needs to be replaced. My daughter said it wasn't comfortable at all. Although we like that the sink is separate from the bathroom, the bathroom light is insufficient. There should be a trash can in the bathroom too. We like the free breakfast. The staff at the breakfast area are very friendly. They were making sure the food and the drinks are well stocked.

It's a really clean, comfortable, quiet place with great service and extremely comfortable beds. This was my second stay here, and I will certainly be returning. I used to stay at Candlewood Suites when in Birmingham, but the space downstairs there at Hyatt Place is awesome for meeting with clients and business partners. Breakfast is complimentary, but very good including hot foods, juices and coffee, fresh fruit etc. This is my new go to location when I'm in Birmingham.

Furniture was worn and AC unit was leaking on the floor. Kids opted for an air mattress instead of the pull out. The pull out bed had definitely seen better days. The breakfast was lacking items that other Hyatt's have had and I was expecting. Customer service was great and all staff was friendly and prompt. They were even going to let me borrow some tools when I had car trouble. The maintenance guy looked at the AC unit once and thought he had it fixed but it started leaking again in the middle of the night. It was easy access to and from the interstate.

The room was nice and spacious. The TV was big and made watching the NCAA tournament a pleasure for the eveinh. The breakfast was good and efficient.

Front desk staff is very friendly. Room was very nice and clean. Enjoyable stay.

It was a pretty descent hotel but our shower did not work. Also, the toilet got stopped up on the morning we were checking out. We decided not to complain about it since they never did fix our shower after we made the problem known.

Staff was beyond friendly. They were wonderful. Rooms are nice size, but could really be deep cleaned. Bathroom needs some TLC. Hotel needs to be freshened up. There was trash flowing out of the garbage cans out front, the elevators were gross and the breakfast was not fresh. The Hotel is fine for price, it just needs a spring cleaning and maybe more regular maintenance. Would probably not stay here again.

It is a nice hotel. Didn't spend too much time here. The beds were comfortable to me, which usually is not the case when I stay at a hotel. My only complaint is there aren't vending machines on the floors, you have to go down to the lobby store to get anything other than ice. But it is open 24/7.

Very nice clean rooms. The complimentary breakfast was above and beyond any place I have stayed at. Everything from the premium coffee the freshly baked pastry to the fresh fruit. A private area to gather in the evening for a cold drinks with friendly staff. I will stay there every time I return to that area.
