Nasty place to stay and theirs live here I don't got a fridge or microwave like that said so I left food out side on my airconditioner and some one stole it so my kids dont even get to eat.

Our Hotel room was clean on the inside no complaints. Only thing me and my family didn’t like was that it would be sketchy people walking around outside talking loudly at like 3 in the morning waking us up. Also everytime we would come to our room it was people on the hotel balcony smoking and cussing loudly. I would not stay at the hotel again.

At check in the employee was rude and stopped dealing with us so he could cash an employees check. Roaches were everywhere. Key continued to not work and I had to go to front office several times to get it fixed. There were meth heads everywhere. People were ima me out of their rooms and slamming doors all night. I felt really unsafe there. I would give them no stars if it would let me. Horrible just horrible.

This motel 6 want get any stars from me. I didn't stay. I tried to get a down stairs room. But they just augared with me, but when I walk out they certainly running and wanted to give me one then. I don't want a room I have to beg for. And when I get THROUGH. I belong to a large club. And when we have our annual and by annual. I like to stay at motel 6 but bessermer motel 6 can be a golden mansion on a hill. And if they gave me a room in it with those people running it. I wouldn't let my worst enemies stay there. Thank you. But no thanks.

Room was clean, bed was cozy. The shower was small and the floor of the shower liked as if it needed to be scrubbed, other than that, it was good deal for the price. Front office staff were friendly.

I was not received well on the second night of my stay. The front desk attendant was rude. I had reserved the room I'd had the night before due to my disability. I needed a room on the first floor. The person I made the reservation with over the phone told me I would be able to get the same room 149 at the Bessemer location. The front desk attendant said with a nasty attitude that he had sold the room and no first floor rooms were available. I took a 2nd floor room. I have fibromyalgia so going up and down stairs is very painful for me. I want to rent another room tonight but I'm afraid there won't be any accommodations made for my disability.

My air at home was out on Saturday, August 5, 2018 and we needed a place to cool off and get some rest. I booked this room because of it’s proximity to my home but was on unable to stay the night because I did NOT FEEL SAFE! I spoke with your motel staff and manager approximately 15 to 20 minutes after I made the reservation, trying to cancel. My request was denied and I called 800 rep. And was offered a possible transfer but no cancellation. I went ahead and drove to the motel because I couldn’t afford to lose money. We drove up and people were loitering on balcony and parking lot and other suspicious activity. My husband had to work and I would’ve had to stay there alone. I was very uncomfortable and concerned about my safety. I am requesting to be refunded for the inconvenience. Due to the situation at your location I was forced to find another place to stay. I’ve stayed at Motel 6 in other locations before therefore I am surprised and disappointed regarding this incident.

This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. Was like a drug infested people in and out all night. Slamming doors. When the doors slammed it shook the whole wall. I wasn't feeling not safe at all. Hardly no sleep. Was scared to go to sleep. Was worried abouty car and someone breaking in on me.

Our dogs loved it. Neat little room. Would make a great design for a tiny house.

I was very disappointed that the TV didn’t work initially and when I went to call the front desk, the phone also didn’t work. I was able to call the desk from my cell phone and to their credit, someone came to fix things in less than 10 minutes (and it was after 10pm). It didn’t take very long to fix both things and was more that I was so tired. The room was pretty clean and I had plenty of hot water the next morning to shower.

Where do I even begin? Well if it's prostitutes and Crack cocaine your wanting! This is definitely THE PLACE! How in the hell this is allowed to go on from dusk till dawn I will never know. 2am — 4am any time walk out of your room and the lady's or rock is very available. The Bessemer Police should be ashamed that this is going on. How is Motel 6 letting this owner keep his franchise with hoes and drugs running around rampant. Never ever make the mistake of staying here! Pay a little more and go elsewhere! TRUST ME!

We enjoyed our stay! The room was nice and clean, a little smaller than other rooms we've stayed in before but was cozy. The price was excellent and we were able to bring our dog. We will definitely use again!

The place is full of prostitutes. The sheets had cigerette burns. The linens smelled as they hadn't been washed. People hanging out on the stairs until 2 or 3 am. I was approached by hookers trying to sell dope for drugs dealers who seem to have regular residence there. I am trying to check early because my work is done here in Bessemer. And the manager has figured the bill to where I don't get reimbursed for the two days I have left. I guess I'm in for two days of to get my money's worth from this place.

Clean place, all they had was a smoking room but overall it's okay. Would've gotten a better rating of room didn't stink like smoke.

To much traffic and police harass you no matter if you doing no wrong. They just automatically assume that you are doing wrong an there is no other reason for you being there.

Not a good experience. The staff dont acknowledge you until they are done with whatever they are doing when you arrive. The room itself is dated and in need of upgrades/repairs. The light in the extremely small shower was broken and missing a cover. The top linen was stained and had burn holes. The shower mat was stained as well. The towels were nice though.

All the staff was really nice, the rooms were cheap, and there was availability even without reservations. However the room seemed almost as if it wasn't cleaned before we used it. The TV remote didn't work so could only watch one channel with no volume. The doors were very odd. When leaving the room you had to hold down the inside door handle then the outside and hope the deadbolt wouldn't randomly pop up while closing the door or you would have to start over.

I loved Motel 6 until I stayed in Bessemer, AL. This motel has become a pimp and prostitute infested crack den! I was appalled by what I saw and heard! The reservation clerk was excellent and day clerk was wonderful! The night check in clerk could barely speak English! I rented 2 rooms and my sons room did not lock! My room was fairly clean but no shampoo! The price was good but not good enough for what we were exposed to.

Rooms were very dirty. Bathroom shower floor was very dirty. Front staff were not friendly. One bed was directly against front wall and heater. Linens were worn. Location was excellent.

We were not provided ample towels and face cloths, the water in the sink did not get hot.

Great service! Very nice and clean environment! I'd choose Motel6 any day of the week!

We got in late around 11:30pm. Booked a nonsmoking room and it smelled the smoke the second I walked through the door. There was hair on the pillows and in the shower. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

What can I say… If you don't have anywhere else you can go, I guess it'll do. Better than sleeping under a bridge, I guess.

Moved here from Georgia… got a great job and staying here while looking for an apartment. From the outside it looks nothing like the beautiful rooms on the website pictures, but the rooms themselves are AWESOME! MY wife loves the updated design and the really made good us during the renovations to optimize the space of the room itself. The price is the best in the area for the amenities offered. Free Wi-Fi, landury room, free cable with premium channels including for HBO channels, hardwood floors and great lighting. I would recommend this hotel over any in this area. Also a plus is they have a great weekly rate for families looking for apartments or houses in this area. The staff is very helpful and friendly in any advice on the area which you are staying. This Motel is a very safe clean and friendly place to stay at.

Nastiest hotel, roaches, spider webs. Never seen nothing like it. I got a call at 2am saying my TV was to loud I was in a deep sleep and no t. V. Was on. Only to find out they had the wrong room. Couldn't get back to sleep so in the morning no asked if they could give me an extra 30 min since I couldn't get back to sleep. They said no. I use to work in the hotel business, this is very poor service. But guess you get what you pay for.

I booked this room online while looking at a picture of your property. When I arrived, the Motel was very seedy looking, not at all like the picture. It was very dirty. I had requested a room on the ground floor near the office. Before checking in, I asked to see my room. The room I was given was around on the back side facing some woods. Standing on the landing above my room were three black guys smoking marijuana and making lewd comments to me. Another two black guys were working on a beat-up pick-up in the parking lot outside my room. I went back to the office and told the young woman that as a white female traveling alone, I did not feel safe and would not be staying there. She printed a refund receipt. I continued on my way down to Meridian. When I checked my bank account, I noticed that I had been charged twice for the cost of the room that I did not stay in. I intend to file a legal claim against Motel Six to recover the charges. I will never visit another Motel Six property. Also, at 11:48 p. M. On Sunday night, I received a phone call from that property, waking me from a deep sleep. When I answered it, there was no one on the line. Very disrespectful calling at that hour of the night. I want my money back immediately.

We pulled up and there were people everywhere being incredibly loud and obscene. I couldn't even carry my kids to the room because they were sitting all over the stairs smoking, and I'm not talking cigarettes. Right in front of our room was a giant 55 gallon trash can filled with all kinds of rancid garbage in it. We go into the room and after the bugs scatter we see the burn marks on the blankets, took those off and found dirty stained sheets. Someone is obviously paying people to leave good reviews! I've been in the military for 14 years I have stayed in some sketchy places all over the world, and this ranks right up there with third world slums. There are plenty of places in Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, don't risk your health on this one!

I paid cash at the Bessemer Alabama location $50.30. I was also charged $50.30 on my card. I immediately like this charges reversed. Thanks This occurred on the night of 11/16/17. Greedy heathen scoundrel double charging me. I want these charges reversed immediately. I will not stay there again.

Had dead roaches smashed on the walls. They only provided blankets no comforters. The blankets had several burn holes in them. The door wasn't secure when locked. The room telephone wouldn't work. There were several stink bugs flying around. When I called to the office from my cell phone to complain and ask for another one they were rude and informed me that it wasn't any available. This room deserve a rating of 0.0. The worse I've ever stayed in. I paid $105 for this dump. The mattresses sucked I tossed and turned all night woke up the next morning my back was killing me. The cable suck couldn't get a clear picture on none of the channels. For the price I paid I was expecting a better looking cleaner room.

Room was nice, should precool room though. Lots of locals, very unprofessional atmosphere… Employees in Burger King uniforms and appeared tired. There was a mistake at the front desk and a lady came to tell me that I needed to pay but I had already. Trash literally everywhere in the night, trashy place on the outside and makes you feel unsafe walking around. A homeless man asked if I could let him take a shower… Needless to say that's not ideal.

This Motel 6 is nothing but a disgrace. Problems: I made a reservation 3 hours prior to me arriving when I get to the motel I was told my room had been canceled. I had to pay a different price which was higher than the original price. Prostitute Ring : As soon as I walk up the stairs I hear two individual discussing Why it's important to get the money before satisfying the client. Also the as me if I wanted some company for $50. Bad Bed : After getting my family into the room and laying the kids down my bed breaks. They tried to charge me for another room and more. This place had people selling drugs and smoking it freely. Not a place for a family environment. Run away asap.

Love the room except they could add like a dresser, coffee pot or something in the corner by the bathroom. Bed is very nice, sheets smell very clean and the room in whole was very clean, and a very nasty coffee station by front desk. If your looking for a quiet place to relax this is not the location you should go to, many employees live within, very unprofessional staff, lied one night saying one night stay cost 107$, terrible service at the main desk, lots of traffic coming through and very loud atmosphere. I hope I don't come back lol.

We were so unhappy with the accommodations that we found a room at a nearby hotel and stayed there, even though that meant paying for two rooms for one night. The room appeared fairly clean, but smelled really bad — like mold and smoke (in a non-smoking room). The overall condition of the buildings was poor. We did not feel safe at that location. We had recently stayed at another hotel about 1/4 mile away and felt quite comfortable there, but not just down the road at this location. My daughter was extremely frightened to spend a night there.

The rooms were clean. But I would not take my kids there. Just sayin. Its a free country and it looked like some shadey people staying there.

The location was convenient, everything else should be an embarrassment to the Motel 6 brand. The parking is dark, and feels unsafe. Dozens of people roam the parking lot in small groups from dark corner to dark corner, then usually all end up in larger groups going into one room, or another, only to emerge moments later and break off into smaller groups again, then head back to the dark corners of the parking lot. There is zero mystery as to what is taking place, obviously they are buying, selling, and distributing drugs. I had several cases of things to brings upstairs to my room, and two times weirdos roaming the walkways asked me "is that your car? ". I almost slept in my car out of fear it would disappear, or be broken into overnight. The room was just sad. It smelled of old beer and vomit. The lock on the door was broken, and there were cigarette burns on literally everything in the room, except the TV. I had asked for a smoking room, and I am used to there being evidence of smoking, but this was beyond evidence. The towels, the floors, the tables, the sheets, the blankets, everything had burn holes. Not only did the sheets have burn holes, they were also damp. There was some kind of plastic cover over the mattress, and it made the bed really hot. I ran to Walmart and bought a cheap blanket to drape over the bed so I didn't feel the damp blanket and sheets, and the plastic.

It's a cheap hotel good for those of us not looking to spend a fortune and still expect a clean room. Not overly sound proof from hearing those outside, but it's $50 a night after tax; you get what you pay for.

The price was good. The room itself was presented nicely. However, the room had bugs. There was no iron inside the room nor was there a microwave. There was little to no parking.

Motel 6 in Bessemer, Alabama. Good service, clean rooms, accept pets. The lock of the door was bad, and was hard to close and open, the air conditioning had a strange smell at times. For the rest, excellent.

The rooms were awful. Rain coming under the door, we had to put towels down. No telephone, towels full of lint. People out all night. Bathroom vents needs to be covered. Doors and locks needs to be replaced. We were 2 miles from the park. The motel should be a lot comfortable than that. I paid for 4 rooms. Ridiculous.

One of the most horrible experiences I have ever had! When I get there there were no shower curtains and I did not receive one until the next night after 12 a. M. My toilet was not attached to the ground, so water was flooding the floor, cigarette Burns on the sheets and covers and this is supposed to be a non-smoking room it was so ghetto I expected to see a chalk line of a dead body I just have to say it again my stay at this hotel was very disappointing, did I mention horrible it doesn't resemble anything like the picture they posted okay maybe 20 years ago. Did I mention horrible! The only bright spot of my stay was the front desk clerk Cynthia she is a very caring and Pleasant person and tried her best to accommodate me but with the staff that doesn't care it is very hard.

STAY AWAY! I felt genuinely endangered staying at this hotel! Cops were called twice for violence and prostitution. The manager also tried to blame us for stealing a TV that wasn't even in the room AND once we threatened to file a complaint he admitted that he knew the TV had been stolen before we stayed!

Room # 102… very good, my room was very clean, and the staff was very polite. For $46/day, I have no complaints. I don't understand why people would give 1 star! Karma is very fair. When you are lying, bad thing will happen in your life.

I was head to Bessemer all to take my kid to Alabama adventure. On my way there I talked to the manager and him do they have any double bed room available right now. Come we was a hour away and he said yes. He reserved us told our information. Then we arrive at 9:30 am and there were an lady at the desk. And she said there were no room available check around 12p. I said please notice me as soon as possible because I have to elder with me and they are not attending the water park. So we went to a couple of stores near by and came back by 12p. She said the lady still cleaning room. Omg it take this long to clean a room. We didn't get checked in into 1:42p (remind you we been there since 9:30). Then when we got to the room the cleaning lady had the doors wide open and flies were in there. We left n went to the park. When we came back roach was on the floor. And next door a baby was crying til 1am. The following morning I called the front desk and ask for towel to wash our face. She said I have to wait til house keeping come in. I was so ready to go I left at 7am. And didn't look back.

Where to start desk clerk was very rude went ahead and checked in I got my key went around to my room the door would not open try the knob up and down 3x went back around to the front desk tell the desk clerk my key did not work he asked if I had tried the door knob I politely stated yes he caught a maintenance guy or the security / maintenance guy and asked him to go around and check my room door after he did that he proceeded to tell me I needed to move the door knob up and down and push hard sometimes the doors get stuck I told him I understood but it was late and I was very tired and I just wanted to go to my room take a shower and lay down he then got on the walkie-talkie until the security / maintenance guy he may need him to come around because I was hostel I politely told him he had not seen hospital yet he was rude and very disrespectful the maintenance guy at this point I called back around and said he got the room door open at this point I went back to my room I just wanted to take a shower and lay down and rest when I went to go take a shower there was no water pressure it was like someone was feeling a cup up full of water and throwing it on me the area was very noisy all night people running in and out of their rooms running up and down the stairs arguing loud music the pool was never opened while I was there this is not a place I would ever stay again in my life Motel 6 should be ashamed of themselves.

Worst motel I've ever stayed in, we left after 20 minutes because the place was so sketchy, drug dealers all around as well as kids and babies screaming right next door. The TV didn't work, there were cigarette burns in the comforter, and the door was missing chunks where the lock had torn off after being kicked in. Never again.

I had to come to this hotel because the weather was awful and the other hotels were full. As soon as I checked in, I immediately had to switch rooms because everything was broken and the bathroom door looked like someone had been thrown through it. The second room wasn't much better. I was immediately greeted by a roach. The toilet was dirty and hadn't been cleaned. I had to buy my own cleaner and do it. The sheets were filthy. I was scared all night about getting something disgusting.

First room they gave me heart didn't work second room they gave me the toilet didn't work going on 30 hours to get it fixed the only thing that will satisfy me is a full refund or they will be hearing from my attorney sincerely Robert Turner.

Nothing to like! There's no microwave in the room no fridge. The mattress makes u feel like you are sleeping in a wheelbarrow. Prostitutes running around. Drug deals being made. Fully convinced u can get whatever kinda drugs u want I will not stay another night. This was a mistake.

Only gave one star because I can't give lower! Not only was the room very uncomfortable and unclean, the TV didn't work neither did the ac, the shower felt as if it was going to fall apart, the bed linen was unclean and huge roaches! And alot of people going in and out of rooms and making alot of noise and loud music late at night and "motel" wouldn't do anything, we got in a few hours about 3 before we just couldn't handle it anymore, there were drug users prostites and pimps all around, definitely worth paying a little extra going somewhere else. Do not go here!

Fleas in the room, slept on what felt like springs without a mattress cover. Cigarette burns on the shower step, a great deal of renovations being done, Front desk clerk was very nice, I like the court yard effect. I would not stay here again until I read some others review. Fortunaly I didn't have to pay for it. My employer did. I think I need to speak to someone at the office about their coporate accounts, lol.

Didnt make me very happy. Stayed here for 4th of July with an out of town guest. There was a lot going on to say the least, prostitutes, drug transactions to say the least. I ended up going to Tuscaloosa and staying at a lesser priced Hotel that was great. I even extended my stay there by a night because it was really nice.

Motel 6 don't leave the light on, shut this place down! Other travelers — Don’t stay here! After traveling most of the day we found this Motel 6 in Bessemer, Alabama located at 1000 Shiloh Ln, well after midnight on Friday 4/18/2015. The two mistake we made were: 1. ) We should have research this Motel 6 for reviews, we have stayed at other Motel 6 and never had any issues. Once we got home we did research this Motel 6 location and seen from several different websites this has been an ongoing problem. 2. ) Spending the night at this Motel 6 period: the check-in at the front desk was okay, the room was another story. First, the strong awful order of stale cigarettes and a burning rubber smell, the carpet was not just dirty but crusty, we were afraid to take our shoes off, holes or cigarettes burns in the thin bed spread and curtains, rusty TV stand, the light above shower arced when steam hit it from the shower (not safe), pubic hair was found on the sheets in the bed, we slept on top of the beds with towels, the room was filthy dirty and just nasty. Outside drug and prostitution was going on and people up all night. This is not a safe place to be at. Motel 6 corporation should really look into this disgusting place, maybe send someone down for the night to stay. I feel sure that they would be appalled. Is this what Motel 6 wants to show as there brand? After this experience we will never stay at any Motel 6 again. Please, close this place down before some dies.

I will never stay here again. I'm a truck driver and needed somewhere to stay for the weekend cause I'm fighting the flu. First night the front office got robbed and there was cops everywhere then earlier today 3 doors down a guy over dosed on heroine. This place is ridiculous.
