Impressions bad Old, Dirty Hotel.

The Breakfast is excellent, the rooms are clean, the walls are thin, the location is great.

My brother and I stayed here this month for 5 nights, upon arrival we were told we didn't have a room to stay in as they had let a guest stay longer than planned so would we mind staying in the hotel up the road? Bit of a joke really, but we were okay and agreed to do so. The next day we went back to the hotel to finally check in, which took forever to do so. When reaching the room it was VERY basic to say the least, the bathroom was horrible. The shower was hanging off the wall and you could only have a HOT or COLD shower, to the extremes. As we had been told they had a terrace we both decided to see, upon doing so the door to the roof top was so heavy to open and pulled out towards you it nearly knocked me down the steps. The roof was tiny and had lots of rubbish and litter which hasn't been cleared, definitely not appealing. The breakfast was terrible, I had to ask for milk and bread each morning. As we were staying on the ground floor, there was a shop opposite, people every night we're hanging round there being very loud as were our neighbours in the next room. We informed reception to please tell them to keep the noise down as it was after 11:00pm, they did not. The next evening the same thing again, very LOUD in the room opposite, told reception we want to move rooms we were told we have to wait until the next day. We then went to reception the next day to be told they won't move us as the hotel was full. The hotel was not full, and certainly wasn't busy.

Perfect location, traditional old style, very nice and helpful staff, less than 5 minutes walk from the lively heart of Istanbul. ❤Saltanat and Mark ❤

Very small room After two days we did present that they never cleaned and the third only cleaned the bathroom. The staff There's no elevator. Well worth it only if there is a super offer otherwise it doesn't become convenient the value for money.

Most friendliest staff I have come across and the place is beautiful.

Location and price wise it's good.

The location is very good.
I'm going to write my feedback on the pros and cons.
Pros:
1. Location. It is located in the centre of the city, a nearby embankment, a blue mosque, shops and parks.
2. Number. The room was very small, 303 the room was clean and comfortable. The view from the window to the quiet yard.
It's also on the roof that you can climb up and sit down and admire the species of ancient Istanbul!
3. Wi-Fi Internet. Good speed tonight, you can always schedule a new walk.
4. Staff. Polite administration, always happy to help.
Cons:
1. Water in the shower. To get the hot water in the shower, we need to merge the water within 5-10 minutes.
The hotel was very good.

This has got to be the best hotel I have ever stayed in Istanbul — staff were very helpful and very welcoming, will definitely visit again next year.

Very clean and good hotel.

Very friendly at the reception. Near blue mosque. There is no elevator and on the 3rd floor which is the last the heat was quite strong.

Quiet family hotel.

Helpful staff, clean rooms and breakfast in small price.

FYI, this hotel is currently closed, under renovation I think. Originally booked for this hotel until we saw on tripadvisor that it was closed. Our travel agency was able to change it to sultans inn across the street.

I was a guest of this facility by December 29, 2013 to January 2, 2014 and I found this hotel very clean and tidy with staff very attentive to all my needs. If I am back in Istanbul certainly will stay at the MARITIME HOTEL.
