This is an excellent hotel with very friendly and professional staff! The food was awesome and the room very comfortable! The location is perfect since its within 10 minutes walking distance from the major tourist attractions. I'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend you give them a try! Clean rooms, friendly service, best location.

Its a small place, in the hart of istanbul, very friendly staff and great rooms, not much to say about it.

Breakfast was one of the better ones I had in Istanbul. Nothing ever ran out, thus was properly refilled. And every day there were three different warm dishes. It's nice to not have the exact same every day. Beds were way too hard for me, however I suspect real hard beds are a cultural thing here. Airco wasn't really cooling much… Bathroom was up to date and they delivered new shampoo and shower gel every day. Very kind housekeeper. Also good to know that the reception people speak and understand English, and all were very welcoming and kind.

Excellent value for money, good location in he heart of the city, excellent breakfast compared to the money paid! Small rooms but clean and comfortable! The only problem with this hotel is the location Street which’s a tramway route which makes difficult for taxis to pickup and drop off!

Over priced! I was only 1 person but they gave me a 2-bed room. Although the room was very nice and cosy and hot water with good pressure, the room service wasn't satisfying. Shampoos were not replaced, water for tea and coffee was smelling awful. And they charge you each night! They literally ask for money every day. Like we would run away while our baggages is upstairs!

Perfect for a first trip, very warm and friendly atmosphere, the rooms are clean, the food is very local but good! We enjoyed our trip thanks to you we will be back very soon.

Fantastic location… small room alottle bit.

It's bad and too expensive, there is an elevator with lots of problems, and everything inside is a labirinth. We had also problems with conditioned air that didn't switch off so we had to change room because it was too cold. For one night it could be ok, but not more.

Nothing is good. It is old. Elevator problem is exist. Low service. High price. Very bad exchange rate. Cooling system needs 4 hours to make the room cold enough. Staff is a bit friendly but this is not enough to manage an hotel in one of the most important area in istanbul. I checked out in the middle of my stay and found another better hotel.

Very good located. Friendly staff, breakfast okay. Room was big enough. Negative was the smoke in the bath which comes from the air conditioning and not comfortable bed on my side. Cheap hotel for a few days visit absolutely okay.

Several stays in Istanbul, always at the ilkay hotel! Cleanliness, kindness, availability, the staff is gorgeous, super breakfast! And what a wonderful welcome! We always leave with a pinch in our hearts!

Hotel very central, very great and helpfull staff, very clean rooms, but simple… Just what you need in this beautiful city…

Great hotel!
To begin with, that he is really 4 stars seeking to five!
Room clean, with everything you need. Including guest slippers, gels, shampoos, etc.
Wai fai in every room, each floor has its own Wai fai tochka, therefore they cancel.
The staff is very friendly. I asked for a room on a higher floor with joy and without the second word.
Food meets European standards.
As a bonus it's location in the historical part of Istanbul.

Recommended. Good service and very nice.

The rooms were clean, the employees were very helpful and willing to assist the guests. It was close to main attractions and the streets weren't noisy at night. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Fairly close to ferries. Nearby sites are within walking distances. Good room for the price (from Dec 2010).
