A nice inexpensive hotel in the historical area. Pros: really friendly staff, lovely breakfast, a lot of restaurants and shops around, 2 min walk to the subway, 10 min to the ferry, 15 min to Topkapi palace. Cons: extremely small rooms.

Good in Location and price, bad in rooms size and hospitality.

I spent 5 days in Istanbul at Grand Hurriyet Hotel and was amazed at how beautiful the service was. Location was just perfect and the room was spacious and very comfortable. I was within walking distance to the main shopping district, places of interest and public transport. From the moment I checked in until I checked out I was well looked after and treated like family. Mohammed (the owner) ensured I was comfortable and safe throughout my stay and the place felt like a home away from home! Highly recommended!

We booked room for one night. It was most horrible and dirty place inistanbul I ever seen. And that hotel situate in FATIH! HOW!? Horrible. I hope i'll never be here again.

This hotel is run by brothers who are scammers. They forced us to pay with cash when we arrived. After leaving Turkey, I was amazed that the amount was also taken from the bank account.
I tried to reach the manager who denied that the payment was made in cash and voila.
I don't recommend this shabby place at all.

Stayed 9 days. Yes the rooms are small but for the including breakfast it's great. Every big sight is vakable and the metro to asia in front of the block.

If you don't want to lose money, nerves and time never book this disgusting hotel!
I don't even know where to start, because it's awful! In Istanbul we did not for the first time, have lived in many hotels and all of them were in the same price policy and all were great, so we did not even expect that we can get there. The room was dirty dust thick layer, wrappers and rubbish in the bedside tables, dirty floor and not washed plumbing, seat broken, hair dryer broken, air conditioning broken, floor in dirty divorces, closet glance and it seems about to collapse, a pack of opened soap in Bath, a glass for brushes in creepy raid and other people's hair (see photo)! The room was very clean. Bed linen and towels in holes and stains. The room is very small, in the bath even a girl will be hard to turn around, in general nothing to do with their photos! The staff is rude, the manager did not even listen to us, waved hand and said that everything is OK, that the cleaning was 2 hours ago, and the dust flew during this time out of the window (nonsense full of course! So much dust and a week will not gather, especially as the windows overlook the yard, but judge for yourself, the photo is attached).

The hotel is very close to the old railway station. The location is very convenient. My room was quite small. The bathroom is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The internet is good, the voice on Skype has turned out (the video has not tried). The view of the old station from the window of the Hotel café, the quality of the photo is not very. Free tea was actually offered.

Average hotel for middle class.

I have been twice at the Hurriyet Hotel. It is not a hotel of luxury, but it is clean, comfortable, central and cheap. In addition, the managers are good people. I like it and I recommend it. Thanks.

Excellent location, just like the receptionist deal with us, full breakfast and varied. The rooms are a little small but one in Istanbul should spend most of the day touring, not a discomfort the size.

Great and clean hotel, cooperative staff, just few meters from public transportation.

Clean. Good breakfast with nice view in the resturant. Cheap hotel. Good for short stay group of friends or young ppl not for family with kids rooms r so tight you cant move around like not at all. But its price is good for its location.
