It is obvious if you want to have an extraordinary experience you can go into that rest. Civan Er who is the chef of the rest is amazing and he try to reinvent Turkish cousine with local ingredients.

If you get tired of traditional Turkish dishes and want something for a change, this restaurant offers outstanding service and a tasting menu with a contemporary twist. The tasting menu for two persons left us full and happy. Excellent choices of local premium wines — white, rose and red — all had great flavour and body.

Very nice menu with tasting and a la carte available. Octopus main and shrimp appetizer were a high light of our meal.

The food is delicious, the price is small expensive, the service is very thoughtful. Ordered bass, squid, main course, delicious. Cocktails are very distinctive.

Outstanding cuisine standards here. Definitely pricy is compared to the average Turkey lokantasi, but a wonderful food experience if you fancy a modern approach to Turkish food.

Traditional dishes with a contemporary twist, some very original. Good choice of local wines. Usually very busy, better to make a reservation.

If the number of fine dining locations numbered the fingers on my hand, I would say this is my thumb. Turkish fusion actually works and this place goes to show that Turkey is not only kebap. The starter course is sublime (never would have thougt that pumpkin could be so delicious and mantı — turkish ravioli but better — could be so colorful. Like the "Tasting Room", the dishes have a surprise element. No dish is under/overcooked, or garnished. The main dishes are so well cooked that your mother finally might have found her match. The wine list is good and the service very professional, friendly and attentive BUT… the place has gotten overpriced for Turkish poor white collar standards, therefore I believe it is now too expensive. Thus the 4/5. But you SHOULD save for the occasion anyway.

Taste is great. Portions are small. Performance to price ratio is low. Desserts are not good. Interior design is wonderful.

Exceptional dishes and atmosphere. Cuisine is tasty, colourful and healthy. Lots of veggies. Very nice toasted home made bread. Loved the fish. Thank u very much! Highly recommended!

The bread is over baked、fried shrimp zucchini is wet、beef dumping is over cooked、and the salad near octopus is seasoned too sour. The price is way too expensive… Can't understand why there is 4.7 recommend!?

Hands down, this is the best restaurant in Istanbul. Been her for the 6th time after visiting so many restaurants in Istanbul. This restaurant is so unique, and everything is so delicious, I can’t wait for my 7th time.

Loved it! Great food. It wasn't pricey. We were so hungry and this was one of the first Lokantas we saw after arriving at Istiklal Cd. So we were very lucky!

Absolutely amazing dinner and the service is some of the best in Istanbul. I’m a big foodie and ex-chef and I’m blown away by the caliber of this establishment while still being unassuming and unpretentious. Looking forward to coming back and I haven’t even had dessert yet.

Romantic restaurant with jazz music background music. Nice food and good service, we order the tasting meau, costs 310 TRY for two ppl, I feel it's worth as the food was delicious and really good looking, recommend!

This place was great, BUT some dishes missed the mark. We did the tasting menu, cold Mezze were great, cocktails we're great, dessert was ok, Manti was fantastic, kofte was unremarkable, grilled haloumi was awful — inedibly salty and unbalanced. The service was friendly but very slow. Overall is was a bit overpriced. Faster service and the exclusion of the Halloumi Dish and I'd probably give it 5 stars.

The cold starters were fabulous. A mixture of tasty little treats full of flavor. Just sensational. Imagine artichoke with peaches, or Beans with smoked yogurt and chili. The freshness associated with those was phenomenal. The hot starters were a bit oily: ( ( (. Did not like what the chef has done with the goat cheese and surely the zucchini flower needed to be less oily and a bit lighter in color. The meat ball had the taste of Istanbul in it. Just when I thought the meat could not get better… the spicy lamb sausage proved me wrong. Everything in this plate was to the point, just enough spicy, garlic finish, lamb flavor… on a bed of beans and accompanied with refreshing cucumber that was full of freshness. Bravo. This one placed a smile on my face. The meat dumplings came with yogurt, mint and chili. Like a repetition of some previous dishes combined and worth every bite and sip. Ok, the smoked ice cream was a discovery, saffron and rosemary flavors. The plate had now but tasted like. I loved the ice cream and did not get the kadajifi associated with it. Was very good to say the least. the chef does wonders with yogurt and meat. She has talent towards smoking ingredients starting with butter, yogurt and ice cream. Needless to mention, the atmosphere is magical and the service was excellent. Thank you.

Great food, great jazz track for background music, lots of soft-light warm ambience, great wine selection, great service. In a town full of great restaurants and great food, this is near the top. Their tasting menu makes it easy to delve into Turkish gourmet cuisine if you're not familiar with the dishes. The waiter is happy to guide you with some excellent Turkish wines. Can't get enough of this place!

Decent Hostel in the Centre of Istanbul. Hotel Carat but for that price it wants more. Shared bathrooms.
