It was my third Istanbul trip. The city and its people simply captivate me.
However, the same cannot be said of the hotel this time.
Arriving on the first evening, we were told that our room was not finished and that
would upgrade us to the suite for free. So far so good. The suite was okay, but doesn't live up to its name. That's just the way it is. Since I have my experience with the Turkish kind to offer added value, I asked 3 times if the transfer would be free of charge and if we would not at least look at the other room. The answers remained as usual. The next morning we went directly to the reception to ask when we would have to change the room and we were told that the rooms should be exchanged at 1 p. M. When asked, we were told that we should simply leave our belongings there and that the hotel staff would then take them to the new room. (We would also have come back to make the change ourselves). Arrived in the evening, after we were approached extremely researched, because we had relied on the statements of the "hotel manager" and did not want to pay — more than double – the originally paid room price for the "free transfer" to the other rooms. In the basement. Without windows. Opposite on the stairs a water damage… there the soup ran sometimes less; sometimes down the walls, depending on whether someone had just washed up or not. Even inside the room, the flushing of the toilet ran 24/7.

I’ve booked a room on line with double bed and balcony and I’ve paid extra. It took me 1 hr to find the hotel I went in to check in. The hotel was filthy, smells and dirty, checking in reception they said we have no room available I said I’ve booked already? yes ok but we can offer you room in the basement (Budget) And no window! Oh my god I was really tired, I couldn’t stay there I went to different hotel. People be careful don’t go to Blue Istanbul hotel or suite its ugly, filthy just don’t go there even for free Ugly, dirty hotel I have ever see in my life I am so angry Stay away from ugly blue Istanbul suits.

The worst hotel and worst staff and management after I did read the many reviews all web site are still having this shady hotel in their website and lying to their customers that shows they only care about making money and there is no integrity or honesty. If you ever came cross Blue Istanbul hotel in any web site run and do not book it, It is the worst place to be or to stay better sleep in any hole then Blue Istanbul Hotel. And I hope that all web site will ban it from their site and that they will listen to the customers I forgot to add Doesnt deserve ONE STAR BLUE ISTANBUL HOTEL DESERVE ZERO STARS.

We arrived and were informed that the room was flooded. We were taken to a hotel which is a few blocks away, upon arrival we were taken to what would be our room for that night. The smell of moisture and sewer was so intense that you could not breathe, the room was dirty. We returned the next day to claim our room as we had been informed that the change had only been for one night, were told that the room was busy and we had to wait for them to check out those who were in it. We waited a few hours and then were informed that it had been a mistake and the room was still flooded, so we had to pay a difference to get us to move to another room. We refused and ended up sending us to another hotel from the same owner. Embarrassing.

Very poor hotel with poor service. The rooms do not have the right things. Maintenance zero.

This property shows the ugly face of Istanbul. They run 'Bait & Switch' scheme on the travelers. They have no respect for the reservation previously made. I'd strongly advice anyone to steer clear of this place.

Scammers! They do not respect the reservation that you have made and paid, when you arrive they give you a suite saying that it is for one night because they do not have the room that you booked, that the next day they change you, the next morning you will ask for your room and say that they do not have, you have to wait, after spending hours waiting you give the suite again telling you not to pay any difference, the problem arises when you check out, since they want to charge you is different rates and as I said was not agreed. The staff is handled in a totally hostile, unpleasant and threatening, quasi-mafia manner. Don't come to this hotel, they're scammers and mobsters.

Nice rooms, nice attention, well located a few blocks from the main attractions of Sultanhamet. Highly recommended.

A small guesthouse, not quite clean rooms, weak breakfast by Turkish standards, no own parking, only room for 2-3 cars in front of the house, centrally located, Turkish coffee at breakfast at an additional cost about 5 euros, kitchen women unkind, rest Staff part nice.

Beware, it is the scam, on arrival it is completely different from what presents on the website, it is too dirty and it stinks, badly welcome, we were obliged to look for another hotel.

Horrible hotel. The staff is very friendly and the Manager is very helpful.

Rip-off! Liar! Scammers! The rooms are mouldy in a side street where prostituion and drug trafficking are carried out! Neber the hotel are just illegal plagiarism workshops and amusement arcades which is illegal in Turkey! I was there for 3 days and every day there were mass brawls, and a shooting, which is why I cut off my holiday! Critically! Attention! Dangereous.

One of the worst Hotels I have ever been to. Firstly, our room was just big enough to contain one double bed. Having even a cabin sized bag opened was just impossible. When we arrived in the room there were no sheets on the bed, just one blanket to Cover bed throught the daytime. On my pillow were also some hair which were definitely not mine. So I asked for two sheets and a fresh pillow. The staff brought it to us without any friendliness. Next day we wanted to have breakfast at this place because nice pictures were shown on the Internet. What we found were just 3 plates of cheese and ham. Nothing else. The bathroom was big but not really clean (see photos). The only thing what was good about that hotel is that your quite close to the centre. But if you want to enjoy some hours on your room to, choose another hotel.

Please, don't spoil your vacation in this hole! It's horrible! Dirty, smelly, moldy, without fresh air and every corner stinks like a toilet. A dirty and disgusting one. : (The air conditioner was right above the bed and the only small window led to an 1m by 2m backyard of multistorey buildings — and this was called "Suite"! An absolute disappointment! We booked for 4 nights and left after two. Better spend some more money for a better Hotel.

I am writing this in complaint to the Blue Istanbul Hotel. The room I booked there was advertised differently from the conditions under which my stay in the hotel was offered. The room had no windows, no shower towels, no soap… etc. Which was not mentioned at any time during the booking. I can tolerate many things but not a lie. The conditions under which I was to be accommodated were not the ones mentioned or promised. Furthermore, they were presented to me only after I had arrived to make the check-in. In addition I had to put up with the receptionists collaborative behavior, whom upon my arrival at 7:30 AM at the hotel, did not even know of my booking telling me several times that there was no room booked by me. This makes me doubt in the work ethics of this page too. Regardless, upon instantiation from me he was finally able to "find" my booking, and told me to arrive for the check in at 12:30 — 13:00. Furthermore, the receptionist confronted me with pictures from the room I supposedly had booked, while in the mean time they were not at all similar to the ones I was presented with during the time of booking. It was during that time that I found out what a fraud the whole thing had been. Therefore, I requested the cancellation of the booking, upon serious disappointment from your site's part of the deal and even from the hotel. That is why I insist on not paying anything for the cancellation.

Cheat visitors for money. Ask for extra pay for the room. Very spoiled experience.

Great place! In the heart of Istanbul. Nice rooms, attentive and hospitable staff. Guys are just great! All the prompts, will tell the routes, will call a taxi. Always attentive and smiling! More.

Overbooked my room and sent me to a "sister hotel" which was a motel. The place was disgusting. Both places were run by mafia thugs. They pulled all kinds of shady scams while I was there. When I confronted them and demanded a refund they tried to intimidate me and taunted me saying I got a good deal so I shouldn't complain. They've been reported to the police so they should be getting a knock soon. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Save yourself the trouble and stay away from Turkey.

Cheaters! Never trust them! Terribly rude staff! We booked a budget room which was disgusting! Moldy and dirty! When we asked them to change the room their answer was that "it is our budget room, if you want a better room, pay more money! " We chose them based on the booking review but we were shocked! I am going to inform the official people about this, too. There are so many other nice hotels around Sultanahmet! Just don't waste your night!

Good price, good service, good location, good breakfast in the restaurant with the perfect view of the Sultanahmet and Sofya.

The hotel is not located at the main street so if you are a single female traveler, please ensure you don't walk back to the hotel late night. Also if you have big luggage, it will not be advisable to take train to the hotel as you will have to struggle with the slope. The hotel also does not provide flexibility in extending the late check out so I find is rather inconvenience considering I have an evening flight which requires only couple of hours extension. Can try their shuttle which cost 20 TRY compared to the airport shuttle which usually cost 50 TRY. Please check their schedule for the shuttle.

Never book here they have terrible service. First of all after booking online and paying for our stay they said that it was busy. We took a substitution in the same hotel but it was awful full of cockroaches and scary hairy spider. The space of the rooms is too tight. You can hardly move with other person. Second when I ask them not to get into my suite they didn't respond. What's up man where is my privacy?! The last disaster was their faint A. C. When it stopped working and they didn't fix it for 4 days and they tried solving it by giving us two fans only saying it should be enough. Seriously I advise you to avoid this hotel specially the way to get there is like a maze and there are plenty of hotels with the same price but better quality.

DONT book here if you want to have a good experience in Istanbul. You are in for a ride of terrible customer service that will leave you horrified. On the first night, we were told that our room is not available and they moved us to an apartment with ants and cockroaches, everywhere including on the bed. The morning after, we were told that their guy would show up at 9 to pick up our luggage. Not to our surprise, he never showed up in the morning. Just two examples of the appalling experience our family had at this hotel.

The staff's friendliness and the hotel's location were just great. The design and room's facilities are wonderful and the stay at this hotel is simply perfect! And all of this is for a very reasonable price.

Russian TV programs No, near the institution, all night yelling not give sleep, minaret in 6 hours rise, Wi-Fi then works then no, plumbing works poorly, the hair dryer works through once, on a double bed give one blanket… But the staff is quite friendly.
