Management Not interested in local business, only want foreigners at their establishment. That said tho, the staff's service is impeccable. Hotel is no longer 5 or 4 Star needs alot of renovations.

Beautiful hotel set on the beach at Store Bay. Amazing colonial decor, very picturesque. Has good local entertainment most nights in high season that anybody can attend even if not a guest there. Great cocktails and wonderful views.

Service was excellent, the rooms were clean and so convenient my family and I enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning very soon… one suggestions a daily cleaning of the swimming pool…

Nice, nice, nice :) … the "salt water pool" … hits the spot. Not over the top but just the right place for a few days get away. Breakfast time was always fun. Please, please upgrade!

Staff is friendly, service is good, food tastes good. Lagoon beach is very nice for young children. Close to the airport and walking distance to food and entertainment spots. Rooms have a small in fridge to keep drinks cold. Free Wi-Fi, but only in lobby. A bit pricey to eat in the resort.

The hotel needs some upgrading it was a great short stay, but for the music at night from Store bay. Will recommend staying closer to the lagoon. Tobago was under rough seas, at time the lagoon was calm and lovely to bathe in. Will return.

Better and better! It is my fifth visit to Coco Reef and I can honestly say it has been my best. The quality of the food and the degree of service is unsurpassed. The hotel is a little in a time warp but, as a holiday experience, it cannot be faulted. The dive shop, Undersea Tobago, is without doubt the best I have experienced, ever. The hotel staff, without exception, are the most friendly cheerful and helpful which speaks volumes about the management regime. I cannot be more enthusiastic about this place — adsolutely brilliant.

A place that has managed to balance the best of different cultures with that of the Caribbean. Visually engaging, baroque decor pieces with breathtaking views and much more. Accessible, convenient with above par service standards. Thank you Coco Reef Tobago and continue towards excellence.

Great place to get away, decent restaurants with good food, staff is very pleasant and helpful, close to watersports and nightlife. Nice kids friendly beach.

Recently travelled to Trinidad and Tobago with my wife and 2 kids (aged 11 months and 2.5 years) on a work/vacation trip and stayed at the Coco Reef for 5 nights. This hotel is overpriced for what it is. We were recommended this hotel from a friend who lived in Trinidad who mentioned it is expensive however due to the lower standards of hotels in Tobago this would be the most reliable hotel to go for. Positives: • Amazing private beach with white sand and clear turquoise waters. • Safety – always felt safe and comfortable with kids playing on the beach. • Amazing location (2 mins from the airport and within walking distance of shops and eating places. • Next door to Storbay beach where you can get boat trips to explore the island. Negatives • Rooms were outdated and could do with a total makeover and also never seemed really clean. • Staff morale just seemed low, they were helpful and happy to assist with anything asked but just didn’t ever seem enthusiastic (c’mon guys your living in a tropical paradise). • Wifi — There is a charge to use Wi-Fi however we could access the Wi-Fi in our room even though we didn't ask for it. It is free to use in the lobby though. • Price – for the price you deserve much more. Overall it was a pleasant stay however this hotel has soo much more potential.

It was ok to stay as a new visitor to Tobago, but won’t stay there again. The sand is all over the room and plenty of ants my whole to go order was spoiled by ants.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are not quite pleasant, and didn't go above and beyond to keep the guest stay enjoyable or memorable. They did what was required of them and that was it! My pet peeve however is that the rooms had no Wi-Fi! big turn off for me. A payment was required to access Wi-Fi however it still was not accessible in the room only in the lobby. Makes no sense!

Last time this place could be 5 stars was maybe the 70's best thing about it is the location. Right next to la cantina and the bay where you can catch the boat rides to nylon pool. Poor bathrooms.

My stay here was amazing. The scenery was beautiful.

Best all inclusive deal, no better place or safer for littke kids to bathe in the sea due to sheltered bay.

Poor service there are much more beautiful places on this island for a cheaper rate and better service.

Great beach side location and excellent service.

Very relaxing facilities, a little old fashioned but definitely private and well maintained. I've stayed at resorts in Aruba, Barbados and Jamaica, this is the best maintained. The staff were all very friendly. I would come back to this place. Could use Wi-Fi capabilities throughout the property though. Food was quite expensive here, definitely worthwhile to get the breakfast included package but roam the town for other meals.

I stayed there this weekend and compared to multiple properties I experienced in Tobago this is the best. It's clean with good breakfast and beautiful views. The rooms need updated, but they have ac and are clean which I didn't experience at multiple other places in tobago. It's expensive but very nice grounds and views/beaches.

Kind and courteous staff with a well maintained beach and lagoon area, slightly overpriced food and drinks. Comfortable place to stay.

The food is top notch and if you like to drink (alcohol) may I suggest the all inclusive package.

Rooms are overpriced and the breakfast menu needs to be updated to include local dishes. The beach is beautiful and the grounds are well kept. Some of the staff remembered us from last year and were very attentive to our needs.

Very friendly staff and always eager to help. Things move a bit more relaxed on the island but that's why you're on holiday! The welcome drinks are much appreciated and the breakfast is simply heaven! You need to pay for Wifi which is slightly unusual in my opinion but it's nice to have the option.

Lovely staff… peaceful ambiance… Overall, simply beautiful.

My stay was enjoyable. The room was clean and upkeep was regular. Improvement required in the texture and color of the towels. The towels were greyish instead of white and they were hard. Also Wifi facilities should be extended to the rooms. Breakfast was excellent and our spa experience was fantastic.

This place was the worst as far as customer service goes, the front desk was so rude we arrive and we got taken to our room the TV was bad and I call the front desk they said they will change it I waited about 2 hours in the beach when I got back they said it was replaced with an other one but the TV was still BAD, I asked again and they said they will send someone, when I checked out it was still same TV. When I asked about a different room they said they didn't have any other one available. They didn't try to make us happy by any means. It's sad because I would never go back and it's such a beautiful beach. I will say that for the rate we got, I was expecting a much better customer service.

The worst resort I've ever been to. The staff was very rude and showed no hospitality. We paid for "All Inclusive" but we were charged extra for things like Wi-Fi, all alcohol other than well drinks. The food was horrible. There was no wait staff. We had to go fetch our own drinks while at the beach or pool. The room was dirty especially the bathroom. The cold water from the tap was brown. There were ants everywhere. The Wi-Fi which we paid for was only in the lobby, only worked on one device, and dos not work all the time even though supposedly guaranteed. This place is overpriced for poor quality. Run down is a nice description. Some hallways smelled of sewage the entire time! Their website is misleading. I have tried multiple times to post this ratings unsuccessfully until hopefully now. We were unable to get a refund and left a day early. They must be used to that because they did not ask why or if our stay was ok at the front deck. Miserable service. Very disappointing!

This place is unbelievable overpriced and over rated. The trees and tropical gardens are stunning view for hotel guest but the rooms are not worth the price. Paid EU 260 a night and the room were very old. It seems they never renovated these rooms since the hotel was open. Even more it looks like all the items used to build the room were used. Very disappointed with the service from the staff as most of them with a title on their name were rude. Will not waste my time with this place again.

Tried 4 times to write my review on a stay in January 2015 at this resort and Tripadvisor will not publish my review with pictures of the resort downfall. I paid $315.00 Canadian per night for 3 nights that includes breakfast. The room was old and in need of bad repair. The floors were cracked with the top surface scraping off. It was a challenge getting the kids to stay calm in the room because the TV was not working during our entire stay due to the satellite not working. All the gift shops are overly priced and this resort caters only to Europeans. If you are coloured you are not given the same treatment. I will not go back.

Quite possibly the best hotel I have ever encountered. The timber decking was a bit ungainly. But I'm sure that's been sorted.

This was a TERRIBLE experience. The place is sooooo old and needs renovating, the pool is filthy and full of moss, it is overpriced (160 GBP or US$264), the service was terrible, and the rooms were filthy and VERY smelly! Would not go here if I were you.

COCO REEF TOBAGO THE BEST OR THE WORST RESORT? Please read whole review before choosing what to do. Thank you. 1. Towels smell like dead people 2. Everywhere is tile 3. In “tamara's restaurant" cats swarm the “fancy" place 4. Workers claim that the beach is “purging" 5. The t. V guide is marked incorrectly 6. The waiters/waitresses say that they called animal control. 7. There is an annoying song on loop 24/7 8. The beach water is said to be “blue" but I guess they must be color blind because the water is dark brown 9. And to go into any restaurant every adult has to wear a shirt with a collar and long trousers but children could wear anything 10. You have to pay for Wi-Fi per minute 11. I'm still waiting for the animal control 12. If the Wi-Fi drops the people don't give you refunds 13. The Wi-Fi cannot pick up if you're in your room 14. I've been to the plaza hotel in manhattan, new york and they treat you like royalty true royalty 15. The cat just ran across my door 16. I've been to massanutten, va. Coco keys, nj. Atlantic city nj. Gaylord resort, dc. Sesame place, pa. Hershey lodge/park, pa. Great wolf lodge, pa. Hilton garden inn, on, ca 17. The room is small, yet satisfying 18. The food tastes magnificent 19. The ceilings are floors 20. The cat ran across my door once again 21. If the telephone rings 3 times or more charges will be incurred even there is no answer 22. The pool is very dirty and closes at 6:00 pm 23. The animal control is never called 24.
