Bananaquit Near the beach Apartment

I enjoyed my stay at the Bananaquit Apartment Hotel. The room were clean and comfortable, plus it was close to the beach and little activities. Getting information was like a walk in a park, the people were friendly and warm welcoming. The only problem was the hours of the reception area 9am to 2pm. Then the restaurant on the compound wasn't intriguing enough. Other than that it's a great place to stay once you are going to one of the greatest getaway island's, "Tobago. " I hope to visit more and more and get the same kind of good treatment like my first stay at Bananaquit Apartments.

We had a large group of over 20 people staying at Bananaquit in various rooms and cannot recommend them more highly! The rooms have so much character and offer a unique alternative to large resort style hotels. They even have a cute little outdoor nook which provided a great meeting point for our large group. The staff are very friendly and accommodating ensuring our group had everything we needed during our stay. I would definitely stay there again!

Love this place as a comfortable relaxed place for families to hang out together. My family gathers here once a year and takes over most of it, sharing some rooms and some private rooms for individuals and couples. We love the way that the beach is so close and that it is a 5 minute *walk* from the airport. We love that there is an amazing restaurant (just opened two months ago) with the most delicious hot chocolate, breakfast and lunch options, and wonderful dinners. They took really great care of us last night for our "farewell" dinner as three family members are leaving today, so we will be a smaller group. We got a group discount because so many of us booked here.

1st & last time at this “guest” house. The attitude at this place is they are doing you a favour by letting you stay there. At no point in my stay did I feel like a welcomed guest. Upon arrival I was advised my room had “plumbing” issues & I was being upgraded (booked Queen Studio for 4 nights). My first clue should have been when I asked if it was a better room & was told it was bigger. When I voiced my displeasure at the replacement room which felt like a dorm (& up 2 flights of stairs) the 1st thing offered was a refund (should have been my 2nd clue). When I stated I felt the room was a downgrade Ms. Rachel Best manager/owner proceeded to argue with me it was a more "expensive" room (slept 6 again that dorm feeling) therefore a better room. I guess from her perspective more expensive equals better but certainly not from mine. She has absolutely no customer service skills and quite often in our discussions I felt the she was being deceptive (I am being nice here). When I questioned why there were two gentleman sitting in bathing suits on the patio of the room I booked the first night I was informed that was the plumber there to fix the toilet. I also asked to see the "empty" room with the "plumbing" problem I booked and paid for on several occasions so I could compare it to the replacement rooms, each time I was given an excuse such as the plumber has the only key. Really the plumber gets use of the room and the only key while fixing the toilet, nice gig if you can get it.

Cheap and decent place if you would like a basic room close to Storebay and Airport!

I was there last year in July for two weeks this place is the best super clean nice friendly staff close to the beach Airport is walking distance and food night life is in walking distance I'm going back there this june I just sent out an E-mail to them asking what is available in June can't wait super safe and Uber clean we could not have asked for a better place to stay I can go on and on about the good In this place it's perfect.

So far day 2 and the reception is very warm and approachable with any needs or requests. The place is very quiet so rest and relaxation is a definite in a quaint little garden setting with birds as your backdrop. While the place may need a touch of TLC it has all the amenities I needed so I for one am a happy customer. Only suggestions I would recommend is a better more secure lock on the apartment doors and each room have a checklist for emergency and security numbers posted at the inside of the door.

The rooms are dated, the curtains dont close properly the ones that are on the track. The shower is quite powerful but can not be adjusted so getting under the shower is a no no. Both taps when switched on has as much water coming out as the shower. The kitchen sink bubbles up waste as the house keeper is washing clothes. The stench is unbearable and when reported they say they will be over to spray the room but no one arrived. But all in all the room was clean. We stayed for 3 nights and bed was not remade nor towels changed so be prepared!

It was affordable and quite nice however, the apartment seems dated. There was also a lack of security. The apartment is well situated and walking distance to everything within Crown Point.

It is okay, the place need some much needed upgrades.

Great location close to all needed amenities…

Nice garden. Rooms are decent. Kitchen is well stocked. And a few minutes from some of the prettiest beaches.

Really close to the airport and storebay beach, literally 5 mins stroll. Stayed in a loft apartment and the price was good. Apartment was cozy and nice however there was no housekeeping. Trash remained in the apartment for the entire stay and no broom/mop was in the apartment for us to clean up if we wanted to and staff were scarce to request any. Cable TV and free Wi-Fi was a plus. I will absolutely stay there again but would insist on at least a broom to sweep out bits of stuff that may fall especially in the kitchenette. The bathroom was small but clean, the bed was comfy and the appliances were new, another plus for them.

Will not be visiting again! Money was stolen from my purse and all I got was sorry! Be careful when staying here.
