This place is simply beautiful, the hotel is filled with ever friendly staff, good food and fantastic cocktails at their 3 happy hours a day. The rooms are very comfortable, and many look straight out onto the pool and beach. Add to that its a very short walk to the Fishermans village for more great food and shopping and do not miss the Friday night market. We will definately be back. The only critisism (constructive) I can give is that the showers are very touchy with hot water but this is not worth dropping them a star as everything else is just so good.

I really liked the sea view from our balcony, and the room was really stylish. For breakfast we were able to choose from a large selection of food, and the bar has several happy hours with 2 for 1 offer. It's very close to the Fisherman's village and the night market.

Great location on Fisherman's Village! The rooms are very clean and bright with great sea views and views of the pool:) The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating and super happy!

Beautiful place. Rooms are stylish, with open bathroom and spacious balcony. Clean beach, infinity pool, spa, gym ― all facilities are impeccable!

My partner and I stayed at the Hansar for a few nights before we travelled to two other destinations on the island. Short and sweet — we would absolutely return here. The resort was very well groomed, rooms were comfortable and offered a great view, the service was wonderful, friendly, welcoming staff — all very hospitable and always willing to assist you however they can. We really enjoyed the size of this small resort — suited our needs perfectly & is great value for your money. The food was absolutely delicious. Happy hour was always refreshing. The location, on the edge of the village was perfect for us — just what we were looking for.

Beautiful place. Great staff. Yummy breakfast (we are vegan and had a lot of things to eat). The pool is amazing! Just the right temperature with places that are “Jacuzzi like”. We spent just two nights here and were really happy with the hotel! Really recommended.

Overall experience is good — clean, friendly staff, nice breakfast and great location. As most furnishings are wood, giving a feeling of a bit old. The room door have a big cracked, the shower has no door, the bath tub in the middle of room — not practical as it will easily wet the room floor making it more slipperly. But I appreciate the designer try his/her best to utilize natural materials, other than the bottle water and the tv, there is no furniture/decoration made of plastics.

Top notch rooms, service, and views but restaurant was way too expensive. Spa was lovely, idk if it's really worth the exorbitant price as compared to off the street spas. Definitely better quality but idk if worth 10x. I'll definitely return tho.

Situated at the end of Fisherman's Village. Lots of activity, restaurants, shops very convenient location. Hansar is value for money. The resort has beach frontage and great views across the Gulf of Thailand.

Beautiful sea front resort, with gorgeous views of Bophut bay, excellent breakfast, lovely staff, and a fantastic pool to soak up the sun. Three 241 happy hours during the day. Within a few minutes walk of Fisherman's Village for easy access to more bars and restaurants.

Early part of busy stretch of beach. Located in Bophut. Close by the fisherman's village where the weekend walking street is hosted. Nice hotel, big pool and sizeable room. Good service and great hospitality.

Was picked up by a van when we booked a private car. Not happy with the arrangement as they had planned to charge us for a private car. Our room was on the ground floor and we weren't happy cos it was musky and the phone had an awful smell! Complained about it and the staff brought a humidifier and an oil burner but they didn't work. The next day, the manager shifted us to another room on the 2nd level which was so much better! The room was not musky and the view was just great. If you wanna book this hotel, don't stay on the ground floor. I must say that the staff is very accommodating and the grounds are nice.

The resort itself is beautiful especially the infinity pool. However, we had a lot of problems during check in. We were provided a room on the first floor that was infested with mosquitoes. While the front receptionist was giving a quick tour of our room, we pointed out at least 10 mosquitoes. Upon complain, they decided to upgrade us to the 3rd floor but at a additional cost to us! We finally negotiated this down and they agreed that the first floor is the worst to stay at due to the mosquitoes. We loved our room on the 3rd floor but when I lifted the cover I saw a stain on the mattress padding that was showing through the bed sheet. When we lifted the sheet, we noticed it was a blood stain! We called the front desk and complained once more but had to wait a good 30 minutes before they sent someone to change the padding and sheets and by now it was 1am and we were tired from a long day of travel. The next morning the hotel manager apologized for the insanitary bedding and decided to waive the upgrade fees. After this horrible check in experience, we had a great time and the staff was friendly.

We loved it. Really comfy beds with lively linen. Amazing breakfast, cooked to order rather than buffet. Perfectly located at the end of the Fisherman's Village straight on to the beach. Not one of those hotels that is so massive you get lost. Perfection really. We would so happily return here.

Located in the fishing village, Koh Samui-another busy district, full seaview, Thailand five-star, highly recommended.

Lovely hotel with beautiful sea views. The hotel is nicely secluded and not so tourist reception. Yet there is 2 minutes to the fisherman's village where you get something to eat and some shopping stores who borrows for everything else it is just go a scooter.

We stayed at Hansar Samui for 8 days in Jan-Feb 2013, and it was delightful. Everything about the resort is high quality. Memorable minor detail such as courtesy drinks and cold towels while waiting to check-in, and night-time turn-down with flowers and chocs, were welcome surprises. The contemporary but respectful low-rise design is a relief from overt concrete, and the overall weathered-timber-and-linen styling is subtle, consistent and relaxed. We spent many hours in and around the huge and spectacular central pool overlooking the beach, and had several excellent Thai meals from the resort's restaurant. The resort staff were friendly and helpful (and clearly also hardworking! — thank you! ). Hansar also benefits greatly from its location right at the end of the crowded and fun Fisherman's Village strip on Bo Phut bay, where you can wander, eat or drink on the beach, and shop at the markets. For mine, Hansar Samui certainly earns its award as the world's best boutique beach hotel.

Nicely designed hotel but did not go at his full potential (example the stairs and corridor wall were in concrete, could have been better in accordance with the rooms,. ). Fantastic swimming pool where you can actually swim and with an infinity look with the front beach. Staff very helpful and setting very nice with restaurant in front of the beach, beach in front of the swimming pool. One thing was strange when we checked out the hotel did an inventory checking of the room, never seen that before. Lastly good potential but need to do a bit more to play in the top field.

Amazingly beautiful for d honeymooners. We ain't leaving this comfy room for D next 3 days. Pls don't remind us when Tuesday is up xx.
