➜ We spent 4 days in Koh Tao, 3 of which we chose to stayed at "The Earth House" for its facilities. We had seen many accommodations around the island but few that retain the original building years ago, as was in this case. Include individual accommodation in houses of bamboo beautiful, surrounded by an unbeatable environment. They are located just 10 minutes walk from the main streets of Koh Tao but it is a true haven of peace. That is exactly what we were looking for, being close to the "hubbub" but far enough away to enjoy the tranquility that offers you the island. The accommodation was simple. The cottages of bamboo were composed by a single bed with mosquito net, fan, a space where you can leave your luggage and a lovely porch where you can enjoy the peace of mind to the end of the day or during sunrise. Many of you may think… With the chance of rain in sites tropical… Not flood when it rains? And the answer is, no!. We had the luck, or misfortune, of being able to suffer in our own eyes. We dropped the monumental and we were concerned about the same subject but, we were able to verify for ourselves that the houses are perfectly insulated, the water slides down the cane from the roof to the outside, at no time pass to the inside, and much less wet all your stuff. If, however, yours are not small houses of bamboo, but you still wanting to stay in a quiet location, they also have standard rooms (double: queen-size bed or two separate beds).
The Earth House was my home in Koh Tao for a month and I couldn't recommend it more!
The cozy bamboo hut surrounded by the lush vegetation really felt like I was living in the middle of the jungle, but with the needed modern perks-
Perfect Wi-Fi with super strong signal (and I stayed at the farthest hut), free coffee and drinking water, a great bar and the loveliest people — oh, and a fantastic central location as well!
