Nice hotel, new one with the spinning pool. There is no common place to sit together in the evenining because common area is closed after 6. There were building constructions while we were, so it was no rest during the day next to the swimming pool.
I’m a real honest and modest person, and I feel scammed by the hotel staff, but we’ll get to that. The hotel is far from the beach and a uphill 15 min walk (not easy) so you have to rent a bike. The Wi-Fi in our building (superior room) was not working so we had to connect to the one on the far side of the hotel and it was really slow. The TV is really bad quality and you can’t enjoy a movie if you connect your pc into it + if you do decide to do that your next door neighbor will bang on the walls because the walls are paper (! ) thin! The beds are rock hard and asking for extra pillows (which are bad as well) is a hard task! Hot water barley works so you have to be lucky to get hot water. And if you do, prey that nobody else turns their water on in your building because they will still the hot water and the flow. They will clean your room and change towels every 2 nights (why? ). to makes worse things worse, when we checked out there was a stain on the bed sheets made from my wet bag which is completely machine washable but they didn’t let us leave to our ferry before we paid a fine of 1000 bhat (the whole room per night costs 1, 700 so you do the math) Don’t let the pictures fool you, and enjoy Koh Tao.
