Lovely resort on Koh Tao island. The food was really great and delicious. I have heard a lot of bad rumors but none were true while staying here. It is true that I was here at the end of October when it is a low season but the experience was awesome. Would return for sure. The beach was really nice.

Amazing resort with privat beach and quiet surrounding. The resort is very clean and almost all guests are foreigner. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There are 2 restaurants one is Thai and one is Italian both are very good but a bit pricey. We had a very nice stay and will come back again.

Stayed in several hotels throughout Thailand and out of all the hotels I visited in Koh Tao this was my favourite. Stayed in a getaway villa. The location on sharks bay is perfect for snorkelling and trying to see some black tips. Beautiful coral there with such vibrant coloured fish. The villa itself comes fully equiped with towels, fully stocked mini fridge, shaving kit, toothbrush set, comb, hairdryer etc. There is a swimming pool that has a bar located a few meters away. Huge selection for breakfast and everything is covered fully to make sure the insects dont get to the buffet before you. Staff are so helpful and attentive. The only thing is that the road to get to the hotel is in bad need of work so you will get a little rattled aroundvgetting there.

A little expensive but wonderful beach and service.

Very cool Hotel in the middle of the nature. Wooden cottages, no shortage of detail. It is in the middle of nature so bugs are not missing. Regular Wi-Fi and noise from the power generator. Very nice beach and pool. It is worth going to the village to eat and dine with the transportation because the hotel restaurants are quite expensive.

We were shocked when we came to this room, unclean and worn out. The patio door did not close properly so that all the animals came to us, at night the toilets started stinking — that one woke up from the foul smell. The staff was rude and the food expensive. The sea and the beach were full of jellyfish. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

A spectacular fine sandy beach, probably the best on the island, if you are not guest you charge 100 bath for entering, closes at 5pm.

Expensive, not 5 star in rooms, foods and service. Nice setup but small turbid water pool. Nice beach and good snokeling just meters away from beach.

The beach is among the worse in the island. Water is murky compared to the others and smells bad because of the boats. All the corals are dead so very few fishes and not so good for either swim or snorkeling. The resort charges people that want to go to the beach so has been privatised is also far from everywhere and they also closed the trail that takes you from this place to better beaches you get trapped here and spend your money here.

The beach is shallow and the prices in the restaurant are overpriced, and so the views are beautiful, the staff are "brakes", nature is very beautiful!

Not a hotel customer. Very nice beach… And I saw the Sharks I was hoping to see.

I find it very unpleasant that outside people come in front of our bagalow, and walk on the terraces of all the world! Moreover we do not invite friends without paying 100 bath for access to the beach!
A shame for the clientele who thinks to be calm in a place of prestige.
What they don't tell you is that the hotel is a real business! + 100baths the pool for guests! Paying toilet for everyone!

A very nice place, quiet stay, staff always smiling, the only downside is the slowness/disorganization in the Restaurants. Recommended.

An absolute heaven for nature lovers. Less crowd than other islands, beautiful scenes, great food and outstanding customer service by staff. You will find innumerable beautiful places to visit but its the service by the staff that makes it a stay to remember. You need to experience it to feel the difference. Special thanks to Eiei, Chumpon, Oliver, Ninink, Tua, Moe for making our stay very special. Highly recommended.

Great location, wonderful beach, clean rooms, breakfast and service unfortunately leaves something to be desired.
The coral reef (Shark Bay) unfortunately quite dead.

The beach is full of taxi boats, for everything you have to pay extra. The place has nothing to do with relaxation, only how to pull the money out of the bag… Also very cool, was the statement: the beach closes at 5 pm. Oh, crazy! Are the fish going home? Didn't know you had nature opening hours.
Then to Freedom Beach for 50 Bart you can visit the beach and the viewpoint, there are also more beautiful fish.

The best beach hotel, just sit and relax. Rooms are ok, shower could use a better stream, the staff is nice, breakfast okish. But the beach and pool is just amazing.

Stayed in a gorgeous hut by the beach, really loved that room. Good food, friendly staff, all really nice. Attached spa and dive centre too. And if you swim out 100m there is brilliant snorkeling. My partner saw a shark!

The grounds are very nicely decorated with a cool pool. The rooms are also very nicely furnished and have a cool sofa on the balcony. Unfortunately the taste and drinks for Thailöndische ratios are seehr expensive. In addition, there are always 10% and 7% taxes added. I don't know that from the restaurants and bars in Thailand. Some hotel staff either had a bad day or was otherwise not so friendly. But all in all highly recommended if you like package tourists. We will certainly no longer go to this hotel, was for us to "chic"

Nice view and staff at the reception very friendly but price of rooms, restaurant and activities very expensive. Attention, if you do not leave money near your pillow, your room will not be cleaned properly. Incredible! Beautiful beach but not clear water so not ideal for snorkeling and then jellyfish and micro organisms that come to sting you when swimming. Many tourists have made allergies because of this. The two restaurants are expensive and the food is bad. I do not recommend.

We was here twice. Both trips were memorable. White sand beach with the coral just right in front of the beach. We stayed in the beachfront villa which had a superb view. We did snorkeling everyday. We saw a big turtle, black tip sharks, many kind of fish just at this bay. Excellent. Room was comfortable but of course, the second time we 're here, the room was older. The air condition didn't work well. However, the staff tried their best to help us. Food was good here. Only 2 restaurants here. Going out was a bit difficult though but the resort offered you a shuttle bus. We will go back again for sure.

They charge for access a beach. The beach is not very nice, dirty from oil of boat and a lot of garbages. Too expensive drinks and foods, already over price but they charge more 10% service + 7% tax. You can find better place and more nice.

After staying a week in Koh Tao where everyone treated us great, we had a very unpleasant time with the staff at this resort. It should be said that I have been traveling for months by Southeast Asia and usually everyone is pure sympathy and no one has treated us as badly as in this place.
This resort is proclaimed owner of the beach (when you share it with more resorts) and requires you to pay 100THB for access to the beach (with the excuse of giving you Wi-Fi, access to the service and maintenance). It can be said that the beach is super dirty, full of plastics and no one cleans it. During our stay we always accessed the beach by the Rocky Resort, which have kindly opened a free access for anyone who wants to go to Shark Bay.
On the last day we saw a worker checking person per person who had paid and who was not and throwing bad manners at the people of the beach. When our turn came we explained to him that we had agreed to another place, that in our hotel we had been told that it was illegal for us to be charged without using their facilities, that we were not interested in the Wi-Fi and that we only wanted to snorkel.
The staff treated us badly at all times, insistiéndonos in very bad ways that either paid or we were leaving. We felt threatened but refused to pay. Finally we were able to speak with the manager, that when he saw that he could not refute our arguments, he had no other reason to give us.

Beautiful hotel located in a green setting. I recommend the bungalows, which are perfect!

Favor? What service? Don't waste your time and money for this place, they want the color of your tickets without paying attention to your well being. It has better on Koh Tao for value for money.

A beautiful, stinging and well-groomed resort with small bungalows right on the beach.
2 weeks live like "in paradise … " sunrise watching out of bed, clean beach, white sand, turtles and reefsharks in the bay.
Friendly staff, great food and everything super clean and well maintained. I am very sad to have to leave this place again and would come back immediately.

+ nice beach + Good service for luggage — Room too small — restaurant and SPA too expensive (more expensive than in Europe) — really bad breakfast (there ist breakfast for poor people and rich people, they make a difference).

The best the views from the room. Breakfast varied, what the area of bread and pastries full of ants. The room was very good. The pool is dirty. The restaurant too expensive, we asked for a burger, a sandwich and two bottles of water we left the bill according to the letter 600 Bath But when we bring the bill puts between two supplements we had to pay 752 bath… 152 Bath D Hotel supplements. They're crazy! Defrauding the tourist… The first day we went to the beach that is in the hotel we were approached by a worker in bad ways asking us 100 bath per person to be able to stay we said we were staying in the hotel and did not believe us Tuvinos to show the key d the And even so followed with their bad ways diciendono that we think of site because we were in the area that was not. The beach is beautiful but it is full of rubbish both the sand and the sea and ask for 100 bath per person for the supposed maintenance when you see that they have it careless… it gives more to understand that they only want to swindle the tourist. The 4 days we were staying we went to their beach and the 4 days each time I entered the sea felt like something stung me not if it has something to do with the rubbish it has, was very unrecorded. Instead we hired a tour and snorkeled on several beaches and did not feel that that's why I think it's the garbage. A shame because the site is spectacular if they were more careful.

Me and my fiancée just spend 10 days in haadtien resort! I proposed to her in the haadtien resort on the beach with a romantic set up and dinner on the beach. The whole crew were very friendly and kind to us. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Ei ei, the ressort manager! She was very helpful, extremely competent and she is doing her job excellent. The bungalows/rooms are great & cosy and the sea is very clean and only 3 meters away from the bungalow which is fantastic. We can recommend this ressort to everybody! Regards, Mario.

This resort is certainly not what it makes out to be. Our bedding was dirty, we asked for this to be changed but it was not. I was pulling litter out the water from its private beach. The place is run off a generator so lack of hot water, electricity cuts out so therefore no air con. All we heard was people complaining and one couple were told by management they would give them their money back and they can go find somewhere else to stay when they asked to be moved as their balcony was falling through and unsafe. The food was expensive, very oily and drinks very expensive. Most guests found a local around the corner or headed into town, which you can only get to on their bus at set times or if you hire a scooter as isolated. You also have no privacy whatsoever so have to keep all the blinds fully shut 24/7 as every neighbour and passerby can see into your room.

Beautiful resort with comfortable rooms and picturesque beach villas but unfortunately their Italian restaurant was almost empty every night. We, like many new arrivals made the wrong dinner decision.

The Haadtien has a strange concept of splitting the hotel in two. Also having two websites. In the beach resort, the beach villas are relatievely small but have a nice athmosphere. The pool is very nice with a view to the sea is hidden by trees. The food and drinks are average but expensive. The breakfast is not up to the level of other good thai hotels but ok. The beach itself is nice and you can find many nice fishes when snorkeling. If you book here, make sure you book a villa and NOT the other part of Haadtien, which is a much worse (Beach Club rooms). The hotel would have lots of potential but not very well managed in my viewpoint. Also the taxi and transfer is not optimal. The pickup from the boat was good but in the evenings they charge you extra for driving to Sairee 1km from the Pier to which it is free. The bad: the smell of waste water is disgusting in the restaurant area and the reef diving center was completly disorganized.

This is a beautiful bay, but if you are not staying at the resort it is a huge rip off. 100 baht/ person entry fee, 200 baht/ person snorkel and mask rental (+1000 baht/ person deposit), 60 baht for a small bottle of water. If you want to enjoy this incredible bay and all that it has to offer, rent a kayak in Chalok bay for 400baht (whole day), a mask and snorkel for 50baht (no deposit) and paddle around the point (20-25 minutes) and then swim with the sharks and turtles. I also watched one of the staff attempting to hit one of the completely harmless beach dogs with a kayak paddle.

Highly recommend this resort in Koh Tao. The diving store is really good! We diving with Jennifer two days, she is a really nice guide, she looks liked Jennifer Lawrence on the land, and she looks like Blake Lively in the sea! We really enjoy the moments with her.

Experienced discrimination. I had been staying at the villa with pool for three days on May 2017. After taking a look at my and wife's faces, multiple staffs changed their attitude and services. For example, during the breakfast at the restaurant, staffs frequently asked White people if they need a cup of coffee or cappuccino and bought it to Caucasians, but they NEVER asked it to Asian people. I had been observing restaurant staffs for 2 hours every morning, but never seen Asian people having been asked about this offer from the staffs. Another instance is amenities. Our teeth brushes and shavers were intentionally unreplaced after cleaning, but white guests got new one everyday. Experienced some more differences only within 3 days, and I concluded these differences as discrimination. On the last day, I claimed these unfair and uncomfortable experiences. They admitted and apologized regarding the discrimination. Hope this will change as soon as possible.

Beautiful and peaceful resort with fantastic staff. I'm confused by the negative reviews because my boyfriend and I had the most fabulous time here. I booked a couple of nights here as a treat for his birthday as we are currently travelling Asia and it was well worth the money. The beach is private and quiet, the rooms are clean with a beautiful view (we booked the beach view), the food is incredible and the staff could not be more helpful. Do note that the shuttle to/from the pier is only twice a day but that's timed with the ferries (around 8am and 2pm) and it's free! Yes the road is bumpy coming in but who cares? The resort itself is beautiful and secluded so I highly recommend.

Very nice resort even in the heat of summer. Yeah the road is bumpy but its a small tropical island. You will never hear a car pass when you lounge in your private pagoda. The fact that is does have roads means no water taxi's blaring into the cove. Best way to get around is scooter rental, got brand new, only 1300km, for about 200baht/day. Plenty of rentals within 50m of the ferry. Get treaded tires b/c roads are sandy. If you can stomach driving on the left, traffic is very minimal. Just relax, take it slow and go with the flow. Your in paradise. Great waterfront breakfast buffet with both American and basic Thai choices. Regular food is regular western prices, 5 min ride over the hill to local Thai fare. The 7/11 is another 2 mins. And it's next to putput and bowling! Thai bowling where they manually set the pins after each frame. Beautiful coconut palm and shade tree lined beach facing east. I can hide comfortably in the shade a stones throw from a full bar and a nicely done pool. Next cove has some nice reef in 10m both natural and man made. The place could use a new coat of varnish. Overall a great resort.

Hi, have made this year is island hopping. Unfortunately we arrived at the second Stop in the Haadtien Beach Club. The area in front of the reception was unkempt and the trash was also at the time of departure. The perch was check the passport and the credit card is needed and the clamping Board pressed in the Hand with the words, here, and here to fill. In the corridor to our room a strong pizza smell welcomed us. The room was very large, but had almost no storage options. The bathroom had a strong odor, which increased in the evening than in the upper floors of the baths were used, the clapping and the Fäkalgruch from the shower drain. The beautiful balcony deck was, unfortunately, not been released on the second day of the big patch (I had to do it myself). Also the new bedding was stained. As on the third day, then the Restaurant furniture was sanded on site and you had to go over to the Resort Restaurant to the beach I was looking forward to the next trip.

This is a wonderful shark beach in there, dont need scary the shark that it is just a name of beach, actually there have a gorgeous view enjoyable a fish or coral. If you want to go there by taxi boat may 400baht, I prefer rent a motorbike only 150baht from pier to there about 10 minutes. It is mostly cheaper than other transportation. Next time I will rent a resort one or two night and drive around the island, lovely!

I don't understand the bad reviews that exist about this hotel.
A virtually new hotel, in the best beach on Ko Tao with facilities of luxury and very helpful staff.
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable balconies. The bathroom is OK, the only but is sometimes smelling, usually at night.
The breakfast is 10, anything than put some opinions has not happened. ALL the food from the buffet are not clogged, if you open the jam pot and leave it open obvious it will be him, but the food is stuffy and perfect. The cozy breakfast and beach place.
It has 2 restaurants and there is another opening in the timetable of the pool in the area of the bungalow, 2 swimming pools and a beach that you just don't. Hammocks for guests.
The price of restaurants is not as high as it is, but if for the price of Thailand although the quality of the cuisine is indisputable.
A hotel that I recommend 100% go, a jewel, quiet and spectacular.

The villas are very warm. The excellent service. The very careful and spectacular environment with a view and private beach of cinema. I highly recommend it. The only thing that I liked is the access.

Report quality / low price for a pool villa. Not very clean and the staff lacks professionalism. The pool is nice. Two stars nothing more.

Great until the wedding descended on the resort. There was no warning when we booked that they would be having a giant party so it turned from a quiet, relaxed holiday to backpacker Sairee beach. Not impressed that they only informed us on the day. The rooms are stacked right on top of the restaurant so the noise travels straight up and you can't avoid it. This is the most expensive place to stay on the island, and the food and beverage are very very expensive for what you get/compared to the rest of the island. Considering what we spent on diving and our stay I'm very disappointed. Make sure you get it in writing that there will be no weddings or parties if you are going here for peace and quiet.

Stayed 2 weeks. Definitely the most beautiful and clean beach of the island and the whole archipel. The service is good, although not perfect. Snorkeling and diving fantastic, as well as the accomedations, pool and villas. Everything on the resort is really expensive (compared to thai standards) but therefore you get amazing food, smoothies, massages or diving equipement.

Lovely place to disconnect. Nice staff, good food, cosy and well designed huts. The service was amazing as well.

Absolutely the best beach on Koh Tao island! The Getaway Villa was amazing, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Stayed for 5 nights and wish we had stayed so much longer. Thank you Haad Tien for our first Koh Tao experience. Beautiful and serene, yet so close to the action and hustle bustle of Sairee Beach. Will definitely stay again in the future.

We have had the best 11 days at haadtien Resort the staff are absoulely the best. Our room was amazing the resort is beautiful clean and the beach was awesome very clean and safe to swim in. Koh tao is an amazing Island we reccommend it to anyone and will diffenetly come back to stay at the Haadtien again. Thanks Shirl and Russell Room 110 :).

Really nice place to go with great service! a little bit far away from the pier (30 minutes walking) but it's ok if you're yoing and strong. The shuttles to the pier should be available more often. I recommend it if you want to stay in heaven away from the city (romantic, honey moon).

It is quite quiet. Suit for people who need to relax I just move from Sai ree beach the place that have more party on the beach but here totally different.
