Amazing walking street/night market! One of the best I've seen in South East Asia. It's not too big and over crowded that you feel like you can't go anywhere. GREAT international food choices. Multiples vegetarian and vegan options. Easy to find. There is everything you might want. Located in town, you can go for the night market and go out right after since you are already there. Good crowd, good place, on of the reason I've been to Pai more than once.

What a lovely place.! Best food. Best drinks. Best shopping avenues. Even if you have nothing to do, the place just cheers you up.

Well if you're into Pae, you simply must visit this place. Lots of food, inexpensive clothing, hendom made souvenirs.

Delicious food and lots of hustle and bustle. Half Pai meets here every night between 6pm and 10pm. Traffic calms!

I believe this place needs no review or explanation. It's a party all day long and probably all year round! lots of stuff to see; Art, Food, Jewelry, hand made stuff, Leather stuff, STREET FOODS GALORE! restaurants, bars, guest houses, music, sounds, sights, ALL OF IT! Very, Very cool place! and did I mention the FOOD?!

Great food stalls, the Muslim women serving the soup and salad dumplings was amazing. And the chocolate truffles were to die for. Make sure you only bring the amount of cash you want to spend because you will go broke from eating.

Walking on the long long street, surrounding with a lot of local food. Very delicious and price was cheap. U can find a lot of hand make souvenirs, craft, all are very unique. Price is between 10-50 baht. Pai special t-shirt sell in 80-100baht only. U can find Thai food here, Chinese food, Muslim food, Japanese food, western food, live band and so many interest place. That’s Why I was rate the pai walking street is the best in Thailand, u must come here than u will know it. The only think have to pay attention is some of them are riding their motorbike in the middle of walking street. Hope it will not happen again to spoil such a nice place.

Benches with stylish clothing, the peoples of the North of Thailand, souvenirs, trays with pancakes, strawberries and other food very much. Quiet, clean. Sometimes heard the pleasant music.

Not the biggest, not the amaizing but the CLEANEST street food that I have seen from south to north in Thailand. And the prices are fair. Good and fresh Pad Thai, spring rolls, fries, coconut mini cakes, skewers etc (so much fresh and clean food there, 1 month to try each) As drink try the ginger tea in bamboo glass, it is very strong.

Very tasty food on the street. In between a few market stalls. Lined by restaurants and bars. Not too crowded with people. Opened from 17-22 am.

Gorgeous walking street with great views all around you. Cozy and atmospheric. Great places to kick back, relax and eat or drink a bit with family and friends. Must visit.

I don't like crowds and this is one of the most horrific, people so much that you just can't go without it, to stop and buy something. But I know people who loves night markets, so I can't put one star. If you want to eat, you may simply be nowhere to sit, and the announcer on a loudspeaker constantly warns that you followed your pockets. In short, for me shopopalo.

The touristic part of Pai. Lovely stalls selling everything. Huge amounts of delicious food, beautifully handcrafted objects of every nature alongside your normal tourist trap stalls. Fun to wander and watch. West meets East.

Very distinctive Night market! Street illustrators on the side of the road attract me to stop! Unfortunately, I can not stay a few more days, really want to appreciate her exhibition Ah!

Walking st. In Pai is full of things to look at and taste. It is relaxing since there is not so many people unlike other cities. Plenty of clothes to buy, food to eat and places to visit. The mountain couple is always there playing their Banjo.

It's like all the night markets although there is a mixture of cultures that will plow you to travel culinary mind but what you can not fail to try is a meat stand that is equated to the one I have tried in 2 Argentinean restaurants, juicy meat, roasted very slowly is great.

At any time of day or night walking Street is a small Bangkok… To discover or to see…!

The food is excellent. I highly recommend the chicken dumplings next to the nacho lady. The garlic bread us ten baht and very good. The dumpling lady just off walking street is cheaper than anyone on walking street for her BBQ pork buns, pork buns and custard buns. The shopping is all tourist trap stuff. Beer tees and elephant pants and flip flops. Corn on the cob in butter is a street food favorite. The gyoza lady is also good.

So much fun! We stayed right beside this street and it's always busy after about 4pm. Lots of different street food options, and lots of shops to buy clothes, blankets, trinkets etc. Best place for dinner and buying gifts for family back home.

One of the best Walkingstreets in northern Thailand. The best Streetfood is here! Absolutely. Starting at 5 o'clock in the evening.

Two main streets, a T Junction, become walkways at 6pm, lined with numerous food, clothing and souvenir vendors. The food quality and variety is amazing, probably better than the Chang Mai night markets. The area is busy but you can still walk without being shoulder-to-shoulder with others. A great place for a good taste and value dinner.

Various good food can be found around here, along with hippies and tourists from around the world. The ribs cooked in a pot was great. Drinks are affordable. Everyone drinks and smokes (cigarettes, gross) on the street. Overall good time and private the only thing to do in Pai at night, unless another event is going on elsewhere.

Always very crowded, but at least it ends unlike other Thailand markets. It is a definitive T shape that can be navigated in 30 mins to 2 hours depending on your intentions. Always good options for Vegan food and snacks. Surprising amount of vegan options, even things you wouldn't expect to be vegan like truffles and cookies and even Oreo "milkshakes" typically are, you just have to ask to make sure. Ask if they're Jay, and enjoy if they are :)

Crowded, periodically ride bikes. There is something new to try. Sometimes there is live music. Many shops.

Good atmosphere, I recommend the steamed buns, which is at the end of the street passing through the bus area direction the bridge to cross the river, try them and I say, I discovered yesterday and I have 16 muffins XD.

Lost its charm. Most of sellers sell things that seem to be in every night markets in Thailand. Only reason to go now is for a relax stroll through food stalls.

Not too crowded. Lots of options if you want something else than Thai food for a change.

Nice and cheap food. Lot of hand made products to buy. Good for backpackers and youth spirit that like to have fun as well.

The night market/walking street as the locals call it is every evening in the center of the town. Of course a small town like Pai has a small market. But it is really worth the visit as there is so much delicous street food to try. And on both sides of there are many good bars and restaurant. No one gets home hungry or thirsty.

Peaceful night market. Had one of the best tasty and juicy mango sticky rice in Thailand. 3 sticky rice (Padman, Pea flower and normal rice), sweetest juicy mango, crunchy yellow lentil and coconut milk for 40 bth. I When I asked the lady about the secret of her food, she said “I have been doing it for 12 years, I pick the best mango, taste it before I serve to customer and picks flowers from the forest to make different flavored rice. Amazing! Thanked her for being creative.

So many amazing food stall vendors and quirky shops! You have to try the Burmese roll from the salad truck "Kwanskie's" (see pictures, the stall currently doesn't have a sign), it packs a punch of flavour! Great place to just have a wander around.

Not so cool and quite small and adjoining the streets still driving cars and scooters.

A very nice and not so big fair, only 4 blocks to eat and buy some things like clothes, tours, necklaces, even make dreadlocks and tatto in the street itself.

This was fun! Make sure you go early. Sometimes the food stays to long in the open air.

Great streetfood! All kinds of food you can imagine you will find here: from Thai to Chinese, from Indian to Italian… Also the place to be to shop around for tours and trekkings. Don't book right away! First shop around and compacte what they offer… Also ask how many people they stuff in the car (we where driving around all day in a small pickup with 12! passengers) both for comfort and safety.

Lots of atmosphere to buy and bars.

One of the best attractions of the area, market stalls and night food. Everything was delicious and cheap. Recommended 100% try it all as soon as you can.

It's actually one of the best walking streets I've experienced in Thailand, lots of local goodies, great food friendly vibes.

Great street food, perhaps a little too touristy, but nice and small-towny. After a few days, you'll start recognizing people.

Kim's Fried Chicken is the best fried chicken i've ever had in my life! I went back every night to eat it and tried my best get her to explain how I can make it. She is located right outside the in town 7-eleven at night time. The chicken is super flavorful as it has been marinated in lemongrass, garlic, chili, and ginger. The fry is crisp and flakey but super super super flavorful. It is an amazing dish I will never stop talking about.

Apparently only tourists go to Pai. But if that's what you are into, this street is full of hipsters and hipster-wannabes from all around the world, just "hanging out". Half of them have scars and bruises from motorcycle accident of riding scooters for the first time in their life in the Mae Hong Son mountains…

Best walking street. Atmosphere is amazing.

I liked the Pai walking street because there are tons of great food options. Besides, there are stalls that sell actually useful and/or beautiful products such as backpacks, clothes or jewelery. It's also far less crowded than in Chiang Mai for example and there are quite a few bars and restaurants along the way too!

Every night here is crowded of people from different countries. Can find many stalls or shop sell the post cards and you can stamped it with beautiful rubber stamps to make it the one. Luckily can get some vegetarian foods here and taste good too.

Pai's walking street has a little bit of everything and a ton of food. Whether you want dried squid, pancakes, chicken on a stick, Pad Thai, desserts, ninja paints or an elephant shirt walking street has you covered. Starting at about 5 p. M. And going until 10 p. M. The street is filled with people selling food, trinkets and clothing to tourists both foreign and domestic. The street isn't long and it is easy to spend a lot going from person to person but you are sure find something to buy or eat here. It is much busier during high season with more tourists but food and stuff being sold. Being able to go down walking street and get a turkish kabob or a crepe is great and makes me wish we had more things like this back in Canada.

Every day Walking Street in Pai has a night market which is vibrant with lots of interesting cheap fresh food and things for sale. Not too crowded like the big city tourist centres and the people are very friendly. Its not just one street but a whole area of several streets Most of the visitors seem to be young singles or couples having a good time. I love roti but here I discovered egg and cheese roti (with sweet milk — condensed milk of course). Chopped into squares on a plastic tray and eat with a pointed stick — delicious, The only bad thing about Walking Street was the motorbikes which you have to watch out for although they go very slowly. Pai is a place I definitely want to come back to.
