Average beachfront resort with friendly staff and good service. They have snooker table and table football but it was not in a very food condition.

Awesome resort and staff, and very peaceful place… must visit.

Poor engagement from the management. True service from the groundcrew. Will not visit this hotel again. But will visit koh mak again I promise you. We ordered a seawiew svit and got a smelling poolwiew room. One couch smelled like mould. We got promised too change room but nothing happend due continously talking too the manager. And thanks to that we got the oldest and crappiest rentalbike. Got told that all other mc was taken but on the parking there was several standing with signs "rent me". Soo, thank you but no way we will pay them again!

I have been there 2 times and have booked again now.
My visit there have always been over new year. Last time we was 2 families with total 4 kids from 8 — 15 year old and there are some things we really like with this place is. … Not so many people there, you can be alone on the Beach if you walk 10 min.
You can visit a wonderful island with canoe, day trip.
3-4 restaurangs and 1-2 stores on walking distans so you have som choice. It is always possible to find better, but not so easy in this price level.

Just to eat, we didn't stay. Good menu, Thai and Western food. Prices according to where the site is located. Upstairs there is a terrace that I do not recommend, more expensive prices for the same product. I recommend barbecues until 21:00, very cheap, meat skewers, grilled fish, roast potatoes, etc…

Great location and great staff at this very comfortable property right on the ocean.

The hotel is Chstaja. The beach is very cool, grass with sun loungers, beach sand, the sea is transparent. Near Pier, go boats on Koh Mak et al. Ticket 400 Baht. No shuttle service.

A tad dated but still pretty good and close to shops.

Nice hotel. Good location. Goes directly to the pier on which the boats arrive with a waste. The room was clean and comfortable. In the immediate vicinity there is a large shop and some restaurants, some can have breakfast, others work only after sunset.

Central location on the Thai island of wheat, very good seaside luxury resort, suitable for high-end people to live in.

Good staff — — — great food — — — a little dated; needs small items upgrades racks to dry clothes and towels and hooks in bathroom, nightstand lamp; very peaceful and great sunset!

Very nice hotel, I did not stay there but I was often at the beach. I will be there in January and update again.

Rally great Place. One of the best beaches in the Island. Perhaps even the best and most beautiful. The lovely stuff tries to help you with everything. Food ist great, only a bit expensive, compared to the average prices in the island. Breakfast with average Quality.

Nice location, but everything very old and not very clean.

My family and I spent a wonderful time at ko mak island and especially in this hotel. We rent a family suite with sea view which include one big living room so you can easy play footbal and two bedrooms. Everything is very clean and smells good. The power of water in the bathrooms are no so good but its ok to take shower. For cleaning the room you may ask reception otherwise nobody clean the room. So good hotel for family stay you can easy get the beach.

Expectations were to see some desolate house with nothing inside except insane prices, but I was very wrong. Makhatanee is located as good as one can be located on koh mak and what we paid during the low season made it overwhelmingly price worthy. The staff were always very helpful and had a tendency to actually understand you and respond to that, very refreshing. Our room was tidy and no quirks except for the typical thai toilet that can give you a challenge flushing it. Breakfast included was a delight, and all other prices were at the bottom range for this island.

Beachfront bungalow are big and nice. Only 30 meters to the sea. Has big new bathroom and nice lawn I front of them. Can you book one stay here. Otherwise chose another hotel! Owner/ man in charge smokes while guests are having there BF. He dont understand a thing… And BF is not so good!

Great food, friendly staff, clean rooms, awesome beach. Bed was a little hard for my taste (I'm american) but my girlfriend whose originally from thailand had no problem with it.

Beautiful place but really overprice. We had the best and nearest bungalow to the beach with view on see and sun set from bed — so ok with the price for this bungalow. Really comfortable bungalow, bed, shower, tasty breakfast and food. The staff is the best and helpfull with everything with perfect english.

Needs maintenance! Electricity in bathroom gives you tiny chockes. If you are very careful. Did not date challange the odds. Pool area have seen better days and no one seems to care green and a bit slimy water. The beach is rocky and tricky to get bye. Some rooms are nice, some carry the distinct smell of fungus. The air conditioning worked I my room but not in my fellow travellers.

I'm in Koh mak very happy and so good.
