Shukran Palace

My family and I stayed at the Shukran Palace in June of 2026 and found this resort to be top notch in Zanzibar.
The property sits on gorgeous grounds with unlimited views of the Indian Ocean.
Suites are spacious and fitted with all modern amenities.
Staff is courteous and ready to help in any way possible.
The world class chef prepares delicious food from various cuisines and presentation is spectacular.
Property has cascading pools with multiple bars.
Overall a wonderful experience and highly recommend.

I visited Shukran Palace with my family in June (2026) and our stay was an experience!
This resort is gorgeous with the most amazing architecture, landscape fit for a royal Palace, fountain by the lobby with the soothing sound of water, cascading pools with multiple outdoor bars and spacious suites with gorgeous furniture.
The views of the Indian Ocean are spectacular no matter where you are on the property.
With a fully equipped gym on the property or one can schedule a massage, either way you will find yourself relaxed here. Shukran Palace is truely a gem of the Zanzibar!
We found employees constantly cleaning various areas and therefore the lounge to the rooms, cleanliness was impressive.
The best part of this resort is its amazing staff members. Each and every employee takes it upon themselves to make their guests comfortable and with a warm smile.
Lillian at the front desk is a customer service champion.
Chef Suneel is gifted with mastering all types of cuisines. We throughly enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner. All dishes he prepared were packed with flavor.
Having the privilege of traveling around the world, we found Shukran Palace to be top notch!

We had amazing time with my family — Easter holiday with Shukran Palace team. Nice food, specious room with infinity pool made our stay memorable. Special thanks to Lilian and her team who made our stay peaceful and confortable. They even arrange a big cake for our anniversarry and our son birthday. Thanks alot, we will be back!

The trip to Shukran Palace was exquisite. I felt like royalty walking around the massive property. The staff was very friendly and attentive, knowledgeable and made the stay memorable.
The food and drinks were top notch. I will be thinking of my time there for years to come. We also had fun snorkeling and checking out star island, which the hotel arranged for us. Make sure you take advantage of the amenities too: Gym, 3 pools, jaccuzzi’s on the balconies of rooms, and saunas.
Hope I can come back someday.

The meals were exceptional and the hospitality was top notch. Everyone including Neema, Miriam, and other house staff were happy to fulfill every request with a big smile. Room was super clean, brand new and very cosy. Lillian took care of everything and always made sure she was available for us. Definitely a paradise. Venue and grounds were perfect to organize destination weddings as well. Would only stay here again next time as this experience will be hard to beat by any other resort.

The hotel is very clean, every where. Well ventilated, best services, with best facilities, the gym, spa everything was perfect. We were there for official purposes and every one was happy. Keep the cleanliness up.

Honestly, everything about the place is perfect. From the property, to the service. The staff here are kind and professional. The atmosphere is ideal for relaxation. Not to mention, the exquisite properties. I would definitely love to come back here again.

I am so happy to have booked this Resort! Exploring Zanzibar on solo trip but I never felt alone with the amazing staff treatment. LINDA is such an amazing lady and ready to make my stay so comfortable. Neema my best friend 🧡 she is so sweet and the other Odila best kitchen service the breakfast spread oh my world! Heavenly and delicious good thing I booked. I will definitely return.

A beautiful experience at Shukran Palace. It was very quiet but we think that may have been due to the government elections so very highly recommended if you wish a quiet and relaxing stay — perfect for all inclusive and couples that love this aspect of holidaying! The palace itself was incredible — pools, bars, the gym, fitness suite and the food was superb! Highly recommended. Service was particularly excellent by Klara, Lilyanne and Steve. Thank you all!

Shukran Palace was the reset that I needed. It's peaceful, tranquil and serene. The food is plentiful, the staff is amazing and the rooms are spectacular with views that inspire your soul. It was worth every penny spent. The location is tucked away so all you will hear is the sound of waves as you wake up every morning. My stay at Shukran Palace was one I will always remember.

The rooms were honestly amazing — spacious, clean, and beautifully designed with great views that really make you feel like you’re on vacation. The location is also quite good, close to the beach and easy to get around. However, that’s where the positives mostly end.
The service was terrible. I called three separate times about the Wi-Fi not working while I was trying to join an important Zoom call, and each time I was told someone would come to fix it — but no one ever did. It felt like they were just saying what I wanted to hear without actually doing anything about it.
The food was pretty average overall. Breakfast was the only meal that stood out as decent, but lunch and dinner were nothing special. Also, while the beach looks nice, the high tide really kills the vibe since you can’t enjoy it for most of the day.

Special. Liliana at reception was such a fantastic host. She helped me feel comfortable in the resort and answered all my questions. All of the staff were incredible kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed chatting with employees during my stay.
The spa was great! I loved the Africano massage; the staff was very talented. I left feeling so relaxed.
I went during shoulder season, so there weren't many guests, so I was able to thoroughly enjoy the three pools, the swings by the beach, and a great beachfront walk. My favorite pool was the one closest to the water. It has a swim-up bar, good music, and lots of shaded areas to sit.

I went with my family for 5 nights. Perfect getaway. Staff and facilities were exceptional. Lillian and her team are amazing at making you feel welcomed and comfortable.

We had the most amazing wedding,, the staff was phenomenal. The hotel and pools and rooms are super high end and elegant. We had our wedding there with 50 guests. The hotel organized everything for us. Absolutely the greatest 2 weeks of our lives.
