Excellent hotel! We'll stay here every time we're in Dar. The staff is amazing! The oriental restaurant is better than the other one, but both are ok.

What a wonderful 5 star hotel. Food was amazing. The buffet breakfast was always fresh. The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Nice spa and fitness center. Best and beautiful decorations that make your proudly stay. All along with reasonable price. Enjoy your stay here.

Great staff. The chef, Adelard, cooked me dinner/breakfast at 4 AM when he didn't have to, and it was delicious. The rest of the staff was extremely friendly, and helped out a travelling American in a pinch.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the Kigamboni ferry. The hotel has 3 restaurants, a coffee shop and a 8th floor open terrace lounge. Amazing customer service with quality. Very peaceful ambiance. They also have a spa and a few boutique stores. They have amazing variety of cakes especially the Belgium chocolate cake is to die for!

Overlooking the harbour this hotel offers elegant rooms and great service. As with many hotels in Dar es salaam view is important so insist on the ocean / harbour view. Nice lively pool area with bar and food service. The Asian restaurant on the 2nd floor is a must try.

This is one of the top rated hotels in Tanzania. It is also one of the oldest. It's a great place to visit for a panoramic view of Dar the city and the port. And if just going for a night out you can have dinner at the restaurant and proceed to the rooftop lounge for a drink. They've got a great DJ that it'll feel like the best live band you've ever listened to.

Atlast my dreams were fulfilled. I like the rooms and services. Maids were nice and every time on time. I wish I could stay a longer.

One of my favourite places to be at. I enjoy the exquisite service of the staff and management alike. My all time favourite is The Palm Brasserie Restaurant, the food is beautifully created with such finesse that you just wish you could eat all day and not worry about gaining weight. And if there is ever an above all 'All time favourites' it goes to the live band that serenades the guest through Sunday lunch. I thoroughly enjoy their musicality and the spark the new skool have brought to the already awesome old skool is wow!

In Tanzania we have got a lot of tourism attraction that's surround us. We got a lot of visitors (foreigner) who come just for the enjoyment and leisure. But in this place I can say might be the best arriving point where you can enjoy to land in Tanzania. This hotel is located near the Indian ocean and makes the clients to have the view of the ocean all the time and also enjoy the sea breezy during day and night. This can make you feel free from stress and also you might fell rest and get your mind ready for more enjoyment when you are in Tanzania. Welcome Tanzania and enjoy to here.

Stunning hotel. Staff were really helpful in organising things for us and offered good advice for going out. Dinner at the restaurant was nice and the ambience in the garden bar was relaxed. Couldn't access the eighth floor due to private event so can't comment on the views. Had to change rooms due to phone not working but staff were helpful in organising. Rooms are spacious and very quiet, bathroom is lovely. Good range of TV channels and the internet was fast enough. Took a tour around the city organised by the hotel using one of their drivers. Good way to see the city while staying safe but was expensive so important to negotiate. Highly recommended.

This is undoubtedly the best hotel in Dar. While most other nice hotels are on the peninsula, this hotel is in the center of the city, which is good if you have business in city and get frustrated by the traffic on the ocean drive. However, if you are on tourism, you might want to be on the Peninsula. Having said that, the view from the hotelbof the harbor is amazing even though it is in the city center. The food here is great — I have enjoyed the breakfast buffet here more than anything else. The view from the level 8 bar is worth the price it commands. The rooms are nice, recently renovated so upscale. Nice pool with great views of Indian Ocean.

The Sunday Buffet is amazing! It tops even high end U. S. Buffets, and is very reasonable at 70, 000 shillings a person.

Food catering is ok. Hotel is too impersonal. The Protea Courtyard is much more interesting and better food. The Hyatt is great for large conference.

Was there in Dar to visit family and to attend a 6 day high profile wedding which was outstanding. Lovely hotel location was stunning. Fantastic views of the harbour. Restruant was very good in particular Bunge he as so pleasant and helpful always happy to see us. Spa was good very good staff. Service and price of food in the small all day coffee shop not so good. Service was slow and lacked atmosphere. On our last day there was a lot of senior management around so staff were more attentive and service was better. Hotel jewellery shop very over priced compared to other hotels who are 5 star Security staff and staff at front door very cheerful and helpful. Overall good however the hotel can do more for the atmosphere. 4.5

It's not what it used to be when it was The Kempinski but it is still a good hotel. Level 8, the rooftop bar, has a beautiful outside deck and some of the best views of Dar es Salaam harbour the city has to offer. The café downstairs makes amazing cake, and the rooms are nice.

Best hotel in Dar. Food is ridiculously priced. An ok hamburger is 35usd.

I like visiting Hyatt. The atmosphere is always pleasant and staff are very welcoming. They have good interiors and the view is very nice as well.

“Absolutely great hotel in beautiful place” I honestly can say that the best experience I had in Dar es Salaam was at the hotel. Everything was great — the room itself till, the pool area, the gym, the breakfast with great food and diversity (I had fried bananas, try it ;) If you have to leave early the only food you can have is the continental breakfast as they call it, no take away food… When you go outside the hotel you are hunted by different types of sellers of everything but on the territory of the hotel you are safe. Try to get the conversation long enough to reach the hotel, don't stay still. If you want to take a boat to Zanzibar, the station is 10min walk to the right of the gates. There is a great bar terrace on the roof of the hotel with rally amazing view, try it. Also, there is a club back door. Room Tip: Ask for the ocean view, you will never regret.
