We had the most lovely weekend at Hotel Eiger in Mürren. The location could not have been more convenient, as it is directly across from the small train station. We had a gorgeous sweeping view of the mountains from our spacious room. We really enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool (that also had a panoramic view of the mountains), and relaxing in the saunas. Our meals at the hotel restaurant were by far my favorite in town. Everything was very fresh, with good flavor. They also gladly made adjustments to the menu to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of the staff was genuinely kind, and incredibly helpful, whether it was help with our bags, extra towels or late night herbal tea after the kitchen was closed. This is the perfect place to stay, in the most beautiful place in the world.

Perfect views, delicious food and clean rooms. Stayed there for one night in the superior double. The Spa is OK but could get a bit more love by the service team. The relax room is just stunning though! I'd have expected a bit bit more for that price tag;

We were thrilled with the location — directly across from the train station so we didn't have to walk too far with our luggage. The staff was so kind and efficient. The room was roomy but still very cozy. The restaurant was delicious and the town of Murren was delightful. We loved our stay, and want to come back again and again!

We were a guest for four days and felt completely at ease. The warm welcome, the beautiful Junior suite and the other amenities have contributed to this. In the small but very functional and stylish spa area with the relaxation lounge we have recovered from the mountain. Before a delicious meal in the Eiger-Stübli we could enjoy an aperitif in the bar. The Chateaubriand tasted superb! We'll be back!

You must pay $24 per person for each RT to the mountain to catch the train to the hotel. You also pay a daily parking rate of $28. After 1 night, I was out of pocket for $100. The 5 star hotel does not offer discount parking. The village is beautiful and quaint but there is not much to do or see. In addition, be prepared to pay New York prices. Overall, the hotel is OK while the bedroom is small and worn for the wear. The carpet is a throwback to the 70s. The breakfast and pool were above standard. Overall, I'll stick to Slovenia; the accommodations cost 50% less, free parking, half-board and the views are just as beautiful. On a side note, the Swedish max speed limit was often 80KPH so the drive incresed by 2 hours.

My family and I were in Murren to ski in February. We stayed three days and two nights with the goal of maximizing our time skiing. The hotel's location right across from the train station was wonderfully convenient. The staff took care of us immediately upon our arrival. Olivia was wonderful, allowing us to check into our room early since it was ready and available. We were at the top of the Schilthorn by noon! The room was roomy, and warm with magnificent views. The welcome goodies were greatly appreciated. We had drinks in the bar and ate dinner in the hotel both nights. The beer, food and wine suggestions were all excellent. We greatly enjoyed the service of Carla and Stephan, who were friendly and informative. The food was wonderful. Out last day, we skied the entire day after checking out. The hotel kept our bags at the front desk, and we were thrilled to be provided a changing room with a shower to change out of ski clothes and into travel clothes at the end of the day, as we were heading back to Zurich that evening. All in all the staff were friendly and warm, the service impeccable, and the hotel amenities and surroundings extremely satisfying. I look forward to my next visit.

Absolute recommendation for anyone who is looking for a highest quality hotel experience in Mürren. Have a dinner there, try the Spa and take a seat in the living room area. You will enjoy every second.

From the time we arrived at the Murren station until our departure, the personnel of the Eiger Hotel could not have been more hospitable! We enjoyed the spectacular views from our small patio. The sauna and indoor pool were such a relaxing way to end our travel day. Will definitely return!

Amazing hotel with great views of the alps. The food was amazing, the hospitality was impeccable and the staff, warm and friendly. We loved our short stay there and would love to visit this again with clear blue skies :)

An amazing stay in an amazing hotel… the location could not be better, but that is a matter of fact and history, what makes it a great place to stay are the staff and facilities. It is modern, up-to-date and has all you would expect from a 4* hotel and more, the pool and sauna are great. The hotel is family run and you can tell… there is so much care and attention put into making you feel welcome, a part of the family. I will definitely go back… awesome :)

We enjoyed our stay at the Eiger. The staff and everyone was so accomodating. We loved our room and the amenities. The view was awesome until the clouds came the last day. The food was wonderful and the champagne get together was fun! thanks again.

We had a great time at the Hotel Eiger. The views are absolutely AMAZING! The rooms are nicely decorated. The staff is very friends and helpful and the dinners that we had were very nice. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Eiger again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our lovely stay at this historic, multigenerational family-run hotel. Beautiful and clean inside and out and an incredible view of the mountains from the balcony. This hotel is run with love and it imbues every aspect of its operation. Top-notch restaurant as well. Clean rooms, super friendly staff, beautiful location and easy access to the outdoors. Absolutely loved our stay here. Guest House next-door was a cheaper place for food, and delicious too!

We got a hotel room with a balcony that looked directly at the eiger. Needless to say the view was amazing. The town of murren is quaint and quite beautiful. Overall a great experience.

Out of our two week vacation through Italy, Switzerland and France, our stay at Hotel Eiger was by far the best part of our vacation. The staff was friendly and very accommodating to our family of seven. We dined at the restaurant three times and the food was fantastic and the service was great. We even asked for special requests at the restaurant and it was never a problem. Our family loved the amazing views from our room and we look forward to coming back one day.

We loved our stay at the Hotel Eiger. The view from our room with balcony overlooking the Eiger was breathtaking. The staff was really helpful, especially Suzana at the front desk and Maria and Joseph in the dining room. Would recommend staying in Hotel Eiger to anyone considering visiting the area.

A wonderful stay, everything was fine, the Junior suite No 301 matched exactly what we were looking for for our stay.

Super-friendly staff and a billion dollar view! You look out DIRECTLY onto the mountains. Nice bar. Rooms are clean. Be sure to get a mountain view balcony. Leave the TV off and look at the beautiful scenery. Easy hiking not far from hotel.

Very friendly staff, great service, amazing views and close to everything. The mattresses were a little stiff, which is the only reason we didn't rate a 5. The free breakfast spread every morning is fantastic and worth getting up for!

Very quaint and nice for an old hotel. Rooms are excellent but a little small and some tight spaces. Staff is friendly and service is excellent. Views from the breakfast dining area are amazing as well as the swimming pool room. Sauna is a must in wintertime, I would definitely return but, been there done that.

Warm welcome, beautiful and cosy place to stay, helpful and friendly staff. Room was very good and very clean with an amazing view on the Jungfraujoch. Excellent restaurant with very good swiss and foreign wines. Sauna (mixed) and swimming pool may be a bit small at the end of the day when everyone comes to relax after-ski.

This was the nicest place my wife and I have ever stayed. I say this not as hyperbole, but as a genuine opinion of our entire experience. While the corner deluxe suite was extraordinary, along with the breakfast, pool (seriously, even if you hate pools, you'll be upset if you miss out in their unique setup), jaw-dropping views, etc. The staff is the crown jewel of the hotel. They aren't just accommodating because they are paid to be; they make you feel like they want to help you because it makes them happy. Service like that is truly rare, so if you are debating whether you should splurge on Hotel Eiger or go with a cheaper option, don't miss out on a remarkable experience!

Hotel Eiger is the BEST hotel. Stunning view, delicious food and lovely staffs. I checked out and left my WEDDING RING in the restroom, they called me said they found my ring, and can sent it to me. I received my ring today. Thank you so much, words can't express my gratitude……Thank you. Amazing, I will definitely recommend this hotel to others, and will choose they for sure in the future.

My wife & I have just returned from our third visit to the Hotel Eiger, in as many years, and cannot say enough about the hotel's wonderful staff, food and overall mountain hospitality! The newly decorated guest rooms, while excellent before are even better; the views, the dinning room, the deck, the variety of food and beverage offerings, the personal service extended by each and every staff member, from the reception desk, to the servers, to the porters, to the housekeepers, to the owners is first rate all the way. It is always a delight to arrive and has become difficult for us to leave — — — — so, we will be booking for 2016 soon. David & Maureen Kerr. Aspen, Colorado.

Vor Jahren war wir hier auf der Durchreise, nach dem Aufstieg von Lauterbrunnen als zwischenhalt hier im Hotel Eiger auf einen Tee/Kaffee. Wir wurden herzlich begrüsst und die Dame vom Hotel war ausgesprochen freundlich, wir hatten einangenehmes Gespräch. So kam es dass wir hier seid Jahren gerne zurückkehren und dann auch die ausgesprochene herzliche Gastfreundschaft kennenlernen durften. Alles hier, ohne zu untertreiben, ist stets herzlich und freundlich auf den Gast ausgerichtet. Etwas das man noch selten Erlebt. Dazu kommt die Geschichte des Hotel Eiger, der Tächi Bar (James Bond), und das allgemeine Grandhotel Feeling. Essen, Wellness Pool (immer schön 32Grad, Sauna, die schönen und sehr sauberen Zimmer) lassen uns oder mich für ein Paar Tage im Jahr gerne wiederkommen; immer wieder :-).

We love this place and came back again this year for a second time. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are nicely refurbished and the breakfast is the big hit for us. Oh, and the view is spectacular! One improvement would be that we would love to see you honour your policy of not replacing towels daily. We like the environmental pitch! We'll back again.

Fantastic experience! We booked the unique suite (2 bedroom) and one night in their 3 bedroom suite (which was spectacular! ). It was an amazing stay — and all we can think of when can we go back. The views are spectacular from the suites. The service and food are excellent. They are extremely organized and friendly. Had a little kids room which was a nice touch. The breakfast spread was excellent — the freshly baked breads were delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel Eiger, for the 2nd time. Super service, very friendly and wonderful mountain world! Booked again for next year.

This was our 5th stay in Hotel Eiger! It was simply perfect. As usual. In fact we go back every year to find some relaxation and fresh air. All you can ask for you will find in Hotel Eiger. We love the views, relaxing in the swimming pool area. The food is great, very good selection of wines. Beds are really comfortable. Very friendly and professional management and staff (not always easy to mix both, but here they manage perfectly). We will be back! Thank you again.
