This place is a GEM! Our 4 night stay at the Eiger Guesthouse was absolutely magical… charming, cozy and a wonderful staff makes this place a winner. After hiking and exploring each day (with great recommendations on where to go and what to do from the staff! ), It was such a treat to return to the Eiger Guesthouse for a local beer, delicious dinners and laughs with the staff and other guests. The rooms are comfortable and squeeky clean — we upgraded to a balcony room and enjoyed drinking our morning coffee there while taking in the beautiful Alps. Ema Baptista is the manager and she is WONDERFUL! Kind, funny, thoughtful and engaging… she made sure we were well fed, knew the best hikes and sites to see, and kept us laughing and entertained during our stay. She and the Eiger Guesthouse are gems in Murren!

Wonderful place, great atmosphere.

Ema and her staff are the best hosts in all of Switzerland. Their friendly hospitality makes you feel immediately at home in the cozy guesthouse. The sleeping rooms are very comfortable and clean and look great after the recent renovation, and many have incredible mountain views. The restaurant and pub is inviting, and you feel like you're in your own cozy living room at home. If you're thinking about a trip to Mürren, there is no better place to stay and hang out.

Wonderful hotel with convenient location next to the train station and clear fear of the mountain range. Clean, big room. Pleasant staff. Nice amenities such as a gym and spa. Breakfast is free and pretty good. Dinner directly in hotel was good, but dinner in the second restaurant on street level is amazing. Really great desserts as well. Murren is awesome and would definitely go back.

My family of 5 stayed at Hotel Eiger for 3 nights. We felt welcome & the front desk staff were friendly & helpful. The staff went out of their way when we arrived in the later evening & our 3 sons were hungry! The fabulous view, the quaint village— the mountains, the paragliding—ALL FABULOUS! I would return in a heartbeat. EXPENSIVE to eat in the area, but that’s the tradeoff.

We just had a hot drink at the bar during rain showers. Very cosy bar with nice staff! The smell of the cheese fondue was soooo great but unfortunately we had to descend towards Wengen.

The courteous staff, fine food and wonderful location and view and up to a wonderful experience. My wife was ill while we were there, and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive. It was our third stay there and we'll be back!

We had the most lovely weekend at Hotel Eiger in Mürren. The location could not have been more convenient, as it is directly across from the small train station. We had a gorgeous sweeping view of the mountains from our spacious room. We really enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool (that also had a panoramic view of the mountains), and relaxing in the saunas. Our meals at the hotel restaurant were by far my favorite in town. Everything was very fresh, with good flavor. They also gladly made adjustments to the menu to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of the staff was genuinely kind, and incredibly helpful, whether it was help with our bags, extra towels or late night herbal tea after the kitchen was closed. This is the perfect place to stay, in the most beautiful place in the world.

Perfect views, delicious food and clean rooms. Stayed there for one night in the superior double. The Spa is OK but could get a bit more love by the service team. The relax room is just stunning though! I'd have expected a bit bit more for that price tag;

We were thrilled with the location — directly across from the train station so we didn't have to walk too far with our luggage. The staff was so kind and efficient. The room was roomy but still very cozy. The restaurant was delicious and the town of Murren was delightful. We loved our stay, and want to come back again and again!

You must pay $24 per person for each RT to the mountain to catch the train to the hotel. You also pay a daily parking rate of $28. After 1 night, I was out of pocket for $100. The 5 star hotel does not offer discount parking. The village is beautiful and quaint but there is not much to do or see. In addition, be prepared to pay New York prices. Overall, the hotel is OK while the bedroom is small and worn for the wear. The carpet is a throwback to the 70s. The breakfast and pool were above standard. Overall, I'll stick to Slovenia; the accommodations cost 50% less, free parking, half-board and the views are just as beautiful. On a side note, the Swedish max speed limit was often 80KPH so the drive incresed by 2 hours.

My family and I were in Murren to ski in February. We stayed three days and two nights with the goal of maximizing our time skiing. The hotel's location right across from the train station was wonderfully convenient. The staff took care of us immediately upon our arrival. Olivia was wonderful, allowing us to check into our room early since it was ready and available. We were at the top of the Schilthorn by noon! The room was roomy, and warm with magnificent views. The welcome goodies were greatly appreciated. We had drinks in the bar and ate dinner in the hotel both nights. The beer, food and wine suggestions were all excellent. We greatly enjoyed the service of Carla and Stephan, who were friendly and informative. The food was wonderful. Out last day, we skied the entire day after checking out. The hotel kept our bags at the front desk, and we were thrilled to be provided a changing room with a shower to change out of ski clothes and into travel clothes at the end of the day, as we were heading back to Zurich that evening. All in all the staff were friendly and warm, the service impeccable, and the hotel amenities and surroundings extremely satisfying. I look forward to my next visit.

From the time we arrived at the Murren station until our departure, the personnel of the Eiger Hotel could not have been more hospitable! We enjoyed the spectacular views from our small patio. The sauna and indoor pool were such a relaxing way to end our travel day. Will definitely return!

Amazing hotel with great views of the alps. The food was amazing, the hospitality was impeccable and the staff, warm and friendly. We loved our short stay there and would love to visit this again with clear blue skies :)

Eiger Guesthouse was great for us. We had a room with a balcony and had a bird's eye view of Eiger. It wasn't luxury, but the room was comfortable, great shower and good bedding. Right across from the train station. It was very affordable. Food was good at breakfast and dinner. Email Emma directly to book. You'll get the best deal. Staff was amazing! Make sure to take a short hike to Gimmelwald while you are there. I would go back and stay there in a heartbeat. The only negative was no elevator and stairs are narrow.

A place to lay your head, enjoy a hot meal, gather with friends, enjoy the night life with a close and personal, Amazing view of the Eiger you could almost touch it, right in the heart of heaven on earth. Emma and her staff are family that welcome you as if you were long lost relatives! I'm returning next summer and cannot be more excited! Miss you Murren.

An amazing stay in an amazing hotel… the location could not be better, but that is a matter of fact and history, what makes it a great place to stay are the staff and facilities. It is modern, up-to-date and has all you would expect from a 4* hotel and more, the pool and sauna are great. The hotel is family run and you can tell… there is so much care and attention put into making you feel welcome, a part of the family. I will definitely go back… awesome :)

We had a great time at the Hotel Eiger. The views are absolutely AMAZING! The rooms are nicely decorated. The staff is very friends and helpful and the dinners that we had were very nice. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Eiger again!

Ema and the entire staff were so good to us during our stay in Murren. They are so warm, welcoming, and they made us feel like part of the family. It is very hard to leave because we fell in love with everything about this place. The food was amazing, the service was top notch and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a home away from home.

Good Restaurant with fair prices. Directly at the train station. In the summer some of the tables in the sun with views of the Eiger.

Great breakfast buffet, tip topper sauna — and indoor pool area, very good service. However, the room furnishings were not quite to my liking.

We loved our stay at Eiger Guesthouse! The staff was very friendly and alway had a smile when greeting us. Our room was very clean. The establishment is free of pretense and showiness. The dining room and bar are clean and homey. The room we stayed in was clean, quaint, and perfectly adequate as a home base for exploring the beautiful alpine trails nearby. The Guesthouse is located directly across from the train station and has great seats to enjoy a beer or lunch in the sun while appreciating the beauty of the nearby mountains. We will stay with Gisela and her friendly staff again next time we are in Mürren.

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel Eiger for the second time. Great service, very friendly and wonderful mountain world! Booked again for next year!

The people that run the place are so nice and helpful. The food is great, AND it was one of the more affordable rooms offering a balcony with a scenic view.

Very friendly and popular place. We've enjoyed all of our weeks long stay here. We'll stay here again.

Alpin is considered the best lodging in Mürren. Certainly the price suggests this. The room itself was good, we had the two level apartment on the top floor. Views amazing, but staff left a lot to be desired. The bar was open you just had to ask for service. They served our drinks but wouldn't turn any music on. It didn't seem the staff cared or wanted to make any effort. Mürren is a definite return trip but we'll be trying other accommodations next time.
