The work the team in the restaurant have done this year is nothing short of exceptional. We’ve had three meals so far this vacation and every night the meal has been amazing. Not just the food, which is easily Michelin standard, but the service is worth five stars too. Daniele and the team should be proud their hard work makes so many people happy.

Super nice hotel. Very old but clean and large rooms. The food was mega, very friendly, especially for children they always have an instant time. The indoor pool was great to end the day with our daughter before dinner.

A great location. We were upgraded to a suite for a very small price to speed up our check-in. Staff are so friendly and the spa and hotel restaurants are fantastic.

Large scale hotel, GREAT view of Lugano. Large infinity pool so good and views from the pool to die for. Rooms really huge, we were upgraded so amazing 2 bedroom. Bit too large, but bedroom lovely Breakfast although free and at the terrace, the food was quite 2 star and don't get there late, everything gone and they just don't replace much, plus the hot breakfast is quite cold.

Adequate. Nice view on the Lugano lake. Slightly fake. You can find something better in Lugano for example the Splendid Hotel.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 days. The room is very spacious, clean, the view stunning. Great choice in the breakfast buffet. The hitel is about 12 min walking distance from the center, and very closed to the bus station. I really enjoyed my stay here and would absolutly recommend it!

I’ve loved my stay in Villa Sassa. I’d highly recommend it. Sitting outside taking in stunning views of the mountains and lake while enjoying great food and drink is a real treat. The staff were friendly and very accommodating and the gym, pool and Spa are excellent!

The furniture in the room was partially scratched and broken in some places. The room itself could be refurbished. Breakfast was fine but for the price I would have expected more. Unfortunately I did not have time to test the spa area but room and breakfast were rather disappointing for the price range.

First class staff that leaves nothing to be desired. Fantastic food in the in-house restaurant, large breakfast buffet. Huge, clean rooms. Massage treatments absolutely recommended.
For me personally the only downside: the busy roads and the associated continuous street noise as soon as you are outside or the windows open.

Now the negative and what really did not go were the bed mattresses, which were for our taste, and we were four, way too hard. If I remember correctly so hard I remember no such harsh in recent years. Our back pain really now.

2 points deduction for the bed mattresses and the small menu selection in the hotel restaurant! Otherwise top Hotel!

A superb hotel overlooking Lugano. From our balcony we could see Lugano town and lake. Excellent rooms, lovely grounds, superb service, wonderful buffet breakfast, very good bar. Rooms are spacious and clean. Parking is easy and secure. Quite a long walk to the town, the route is downhill and involved long flights of steps which my be a problem for some. There are some easily accessible nearby restaurants. Will definitely come back for another stay.

Got free upgrade to suite and service was good. Balcony view was lovely. Breakfast has limited choices but it has got lovely view. Only bad thing is the location as there are nothing nearby. Hotel also does not provide any day tours unlike other hotels. You really have to do research on where to go and what to do by yourself if you stay here.

Excellent Hotel Bar and restaurant are at the height of a 5 star Lake view beautiful not comfortable getting there from international airport.

Beautiful hotel. Grounds are wonderful with amazing views. Most of the staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and kind. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. One front desk person was the exception to that rule. He makes you as you are interrupting his day, that you a beneath him and does nothing to make you feel welcome. This was a common conversation point shared by multiple guest we spoke with during our stay. Food was excellent, breakfast was great and the staff were wonderful. The pool, spa, workout gym, all staffed with professional helpful people. Rooms were generous is size although the AC was well under powered and had limits to how cool you could make the room. This created some uncomfortable sleep during our Stay. The staff that cleaned the rooms did a excellent job and were also very friendly and helpful. One thing we found not only inconvenient, but just a tad strange. We had a efficiency room with a stove, dishwasher and a large regriferator but no pots no pans, no plates, no bowls and no utensils. Even if you want to stay in and cook a meal, there is no way to cook it and no way to eat it. We asked around and this was standard. Overall, this is a great hotel with some killer views.

For the 6 nights we spent here over Easter, we need special arrangement due to the different arrival times, The hotel personnel were very patient and very helpful. The final arrangement is just perfect. We are very grateful. We love this hotel. The view from the restaurant is magnificent; the size of the room and the view from the terrace are just perfect; the SPA facility and the gym program are top quality; The aquagym are the best I have ever seen! The breakfast buffet and dinner are top quality as well! it's true that the front desk are professional, but could be a bit more outgoing and welcoming. The SPA front desk, restaurant and housekeeping personnel are very all lovely.

Great location, with an amazing view from the terrace. I stayed in a junior suite for 3 nights. The room was very spacious. Staff is very friendly, over all great hotel. Gym is super well equipped, even better than some of the "official gym's". Last but not least, the in-house restaurant (michelin recommended) was superb. However, the food from the bistro/bar on the other hand, is several levels below the restaurants niveau.

The rooms at the Villa thata with many storage options in cabinets and drawers. The bathroom is equipped with a slippery bathtub with firmly fixed disk. A walk-in shower would be better!

Room was good size and clean. Just a little in the years come. Everything already a bit old.
It is a great pity the sauna area was separated. Steam bath was very nice.

I left villa sassa Friday March 14, 2014, then very recent review, there are not enough words to describe the level of friendliness of all the staff, from the lobby to the restaurant etc.

One of the top addresses at Lugano. The apartments are huge and the view to the "Lago di Lugano" is impressive. The furniture are quite old and in the most apartments they had a small old TV.

I checked into Villa Sassa for a business trip and was very pleased with everything. Great value for money. I have during a business trip in the Villa Sassa übernachted and was on the Whole very satisfied. Good Price-Performance Ratio.

Especially: Buffet Breakfast, Spa, Views.

A pleasant experience overall: the room was big, clean and quiet. The terrace overlooking the lake was beautiful. The sunbathing area and pool were very nice. The hotel looked old though, and I felt it was a bit overpriced and overhyped. The one thing that bothered me about this hotel was: the other guests. I guess this is a result of the higher prices, but they were so. I don't know, pretentious. It was just hard to relax in my H&M beach dress with all those Channel bags around. Oh, another thing that got us off on the wrong foot: the room was not ready at check in time (3PM). They did make up for it with a complimentary drink, but still, it was unpleasant.

The Villa Sassa is for me Unbeatable when it comes to relaxing days in Lugano. I have NEVER been rude staff experienced, the location is phenomenal and the Spa has us very fallen.

Do not get the Honeymoon Package. Not as advertised, and staff was very unhelpful in rectifying the situation.
