We were often guests, but not for a few years. They didn't even think it necessary to ask why. There was also never a Christmas card. Since a few good employees are gone, it's not the same anymore. It is unfortunately the case that in Ticino tourism is not maintained like other regions, one guest is gone, there are new ones, too bad.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Friendly staff and above all a wonderful garden with palm trees and a nice pool.

A 3-star hotel but with 5-star room facilities, top cleaniness and helpful staff. Location is the best in lugano, it has a good view from room's balacony to the lake and close access to main train station and buses. Extremely recommended.

Beautiful hotel with a great swimming pool bar and restaurant! beautiful park too and play area for kids. Location is perfect if you travelling by train because is just off rail and near town centre. Great customer service too.

It's located near the train station and bus stops. They have parking and a lift from the ground floor if you can't take stairs. The staff is very friendly. They have all kinds of room and beds are very comfortable. I would extremely recommend this hotel and would return.

Newly Renovated Pool!

Excellent location just a few minutes walk from the Train Station and with views over the Railway line to the Town and the Lake. Bedroom was adequate and comfortable. Balcony was a nice bonus. Good Bathroom. Staff were friendly and the food was good. Lovely gardens to the rear. Swimming Pool was closed/empty. Easy downhill walk to the Lakeside Promenade and Funicular back up to the Station. Would definitely stay again, given the opportunity.

Room comfortable, to rely on the train road side has night view, but noisy miscellaneous, the other side of the accommodation by the kitchen, smoke smell, not comfortable.

Good location. Tastefully decorated room; Beautiful view of the lake and the mountains; Friendly and attentive service. Roads and railway noise does not penetrate the room when the window is closed; Quiet air conditioning. For a three star hotel highly recommended.

Good historic hotel, very friendly staff and very tasty food. Very good location in Lugano near the train station and still convenient for trips to the old town.

Due to noise problems with my initial booking, the Continental Parkhotel agreed to accommodate me. I was given a room in the back which I was grateful for, as it was quiet with a shared balcony and a view to the garden. The room was lovely with all amenities as expected and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed my stay here and this will without a doubt be my first choice for future Lugano stays.

Ideally located. Not overly expensive. The rooms are quite small but functional. Nice bathroom.

Every time I'm in Lugano, privately or mostly professionally, the Continental Parkhotel Lugano is my first choice. In addition to the clean little rooms, the park with palm trees is a grotto and pool of an eye candy that makes you feel like in the distance by the sea. The staff is multilingual and very friendly. The breakfast buffet exceeds all expectations with the wide range of pastries, egg, scrambled eggs, sausages, spiescs, doughnuts, cream trimmings and and, I think there is something for everyone here. I'm looking forward to the next time.

Nice hotel right next to the train station. Take rooms to the park. At night, the freight trains run every half a day.

Stayed in guest house; is offered only a fridge without beverages.

This was my favorite hotel of my 3 week trip. The room was large, the A/C was cold, the Wi-Fi was strong and fast, the staff was very courteous, the room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was a veritable feast. The hotel is located a short walking distance from the train station and the hotel provided us with a free city transport pass to be used on all city busses and the funicular to descend to the lower part of the city. There is also secure parking on the hotel grounds.

Very nice staff is nice, it's actually nicer rooms and feels more self sufficient then the expensive hotels I have stayed at down by the water. I like walking the hills down and back the location is also nice because you have a view.

Place is very nice, 10 min walk from downtown and the lake. Rooms are renovated, comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast.

Nice Hotel and very comfortable. The rooms are not that big but they have AC thing which in summer is a pleasure! The best thing is the location … About 2 blocks from Lugano Central train station which also connects to the funicular that takes you to the old Town and to the lake.

Hotel room was not comfortable. Bed was only and very uncomfortable. Bathroom was good. Breakfast was overpriced but fine. Staff was nice. The best part of the hotel was the outdoor swimming pool — very nice and relaxing. Bar staff was very friendly and helpful.

Everything is perfect, the staff at small care and prices including bar and restaurant competitive.
The design wants to reproduce the holidays 50 years before.
The trains next door don't really bother.

Convenient location from train station. Very comfortable room (we stayed in a Superior). Very friendly staff. Lovely grounds and pool. Happy Hour at the bar was excellent value. Great food and breakfast. Plenty of comfy sofas and chairs for relaxing. Liked it so much we booked a return visit before leaving.

The cheap price in relation to the area is justified by the need for a renovation. Great location Charming breakfast room.

The hotel is located near the station, convenient for those travelling by train. Decent food quality (tried both breakfast and dinner). The rooms (Classic/Liberty style) are not too spacious. Staff very friendly.

Historical structure. Clean and friendly Hotel. Breakfast room with lake view. The rooms behind have a view of the pool. Ample parking inside. Price commensurate with quality.

Can't fault it. We got upgraded to a better room which was nice (apparently we were booked into the annex building, but instead we got put in a room in the main building), the room itself was rather big, the Wi-Fi was reliable and quick enough to stream video, and the views of the lake were absolutely fantastic. The staff were friendly and it's very close to the train station. The hotel itself is quite high up, so whilst walking down into the city centre is no issue, walking back up the hill after a meal and a couple of beers could be a bit tiring! There's a funicular nearby, which was unfortunately closed when we were there. There's apparently a replacement bus service, but we were only there for a couple of days so didn't bother to figure out how to use it. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection to cater to most tastes. Lugano itself is a beautiful place, I'm sure I'll be back at some point.

You can only recommend very good hotel. We have felt very comfortable. Staff perceive very friendly and attentive. Many thanks to Mrs Figini at the hotel bar, was great with her!

Holidays such as at the beginning of the 19. Century: The palm garden, the swimming pool, the Bar, the elegant Retro-Look, the Grotto with Distillery and especially the friendly staff and the relaxed atmosphere, to convince one to stay longer than you really wanted to. No wonder Hesse here are supposed to be the first book written. Here, you want the whole summer to stay.

So I cannot rate the room or bed very well as my room was 8 feet wide and the bed was the hardest thing I have ever slept on, nevertheless, the hotel staff are wonderful. Joseph, the bartender was perfecto and the food here was absolutely amazing. I have travelled everywhere, and have never eaten better hotel food. The train station is nearby, but be watchful if it rains as it seems the gate stays down far too long while no trains are in sight. I am sure there are better rooms as I booked last minute during a Harley Davidson convention, but the staff and the food were wonderful. Even if I stay at another hotel, I may come back to eat and drink with the good people of this hotel.

Very noisy in the corridors. You hear every voice or steps. Small rooms. Cleaning ladies opened the door at 8am without knocking. Very expensive 200 CHF a night! Seems more to be a one or two star hotel. Remember me when I was a teenage without money and you take the less expensive hotel.

Good breakfast in a nice room overlooking the Lake. Advisable.
