Very professional staff, spacious and clean room. Not too much for my taste, old style with yellow curtains. Extraordinary bed view of the lake (I can not give my opinion on the view as I arrived at night and distributed before sunrise). The price is reasonable for a palace.

The multi-language reception (French, English, sadly no German but that seems to be usual in this part of Switzerland) was very helpful and friendly. I was impressed by the awesomely large and comfy room for the price I paid (usual two-people room). This hotel is in a very public area, meaning that, if you plan to visit Montreux's musical events, you'll just need to leave the hotel and you're almost there. The train station is ten minutes away when you're walking.

We ate a brunch on a Sunday lunchtime, and the buffet is excellent both in terms of quality and diversity!
I highly recommend you to go and test the Vitello tonnato, a real treat!
The service is nice and helpful even if we had an eboutic offer, this is very appreciable and expected in a hotel restaurant of such a standing.

Great hotel with great service. Get a room with a balcony with a lake view. Great location! They provided a city pass that got us free public transportation and some discounts at the sites. The only concern is that it is a little dated.

Bravo to all your wonderful staff, what kindness we are filled with happiness. Pity the little time on site we would gladly stayed. But it is promised we will come back with or without competition. Thank you for your welcome and your availability. Only happiness.

One night stay in this establishment which I found very nice. Spacious room, large bay window that allows to enjoy the view of the lake which is breathtaking. The place is very quiet, the hotel runs along the boardwalk that borders the lake. No complaints about cleanliness, spotless. I also took advantage of the spa area: Indoor pool, Jacuzzi, hammam and sauna. Very well maintained. I did not have breakfast.

Its an awesome place to be in montreux. Rooms have an excellent view of Geneva lake. Very clean rooms and staff is helpful and courteous. Main market place is quite near from here and most importantly the bus stop to go by bus to any placenis nust right outside the hotel. There is a beautiful garden surrounding the hotel. A must visit hotel.

Excellent reception. Staff Nice room with great view of the lake but that deserves a refreshing. Bathroom a little small a shower would be more suitable.
Our stay was short but we will return.

The view of the lake is spectacular. Location is ideal in case you want quick access to the train. The service is very good, they are polite and respectful.

We had a great stay at Royal Plaza hotel, the reception staff was very helpful providing us good information as we are here at Montreux for the first time. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities are good. Make sure you ask for a room with lake view if available. You don’t want to miss out the scenery there.

Beautiful view of the Alps and Lake Leman. Very good and varied brunch with baked goods, a hot buffet, accompanimations, cold dishes, an assortment of cheeses, and a beautiful dessert display.

Decent hotel in montreux. Location is very good, overseeing the lake Geneva. Having two restaurants. Food is ok for Indians. Having a indoor swimming pool with warm water. Gym is available. Early morning view from hotel lobby area is very good. You can see sunrise over snow topped mountains adjacent to lake Geneva. Awesome sights.

We will appreciate the quality of service that stays at the top from year to year. Any request is immediately and very kindly fulfilled. Nice spa, pool with lake view.

My partner and I have enjoyed our stay: the room was spacious, clean, and we had a beautiful, breathtaking view. However, the spa did not meet our expectations: we knew that sauna and hammam were separate, but the swimming pool was quite small and the water very cold. The jacuzzi was very nice. The service was excellent all throughout our stay. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, really enjoyable. The hotel could have better signalling: it was very unclear where the Spa was (it's a small door that looks like a beauty institute) + when coming from the Promenade to enter the hotel, we got lost trying to find the reception and had to go to the road side to find the entrance, there was nothing to show us the way. All in all, very pleased with the experience, the view and the breakfast were the best parts of the hotel.

Excellent buffet breakfast in the restaurant. The weather during my travel is mostly cloudy though, couldn't really enjoy the great view of the mountains. The lake is awesome.

Maintained the breakfast was a romance.

It is not like a 5 stars hotel. All thee things are very old, The service is not good enough. Especial the duty manager Mr Timour. His attitude is rude, not helpful, not friendly. Seems don't like us to disturb him. And don't care the feeling of the guests. He seems thinking that he is very smart. However, it is over what his thinking!

Luxorious and inviting hotel. Friendly staff who do great. Building is not new but well kept. Cozy bar and good pool area. Be careful, parking garage is very small.

We stayed in the Royal Suite. The furniture and carpets have come a little over the years, but the room layout is perfect. Overall, the price was limited justified.
The staff is very friendly and professional. The garage in the hotel offers enough space, but for larger vehicles the parking areas are a bit tight. The location is great, which you can't tell from the fitness center. Of the 5 endurance devices were 3 defective and 1 in very used condition. It has exactly one dumbbell bar, but the weight around it does not fit. If you want to make a bit of strength training, this hotel is out of place.

Rooms too expensive for their equipment, but the spa and location and very beautiful. The hotel is located in front of the lake, with possibility of having lake view. Breakfast good, but no more. As in many palaces (well I guess), everything is very expensive.

There is only the view that is worth the 5 stars for the rest… a small 3… bedding not terrible… hot buffet that is not… and if you are looking for benefits up to the advertised standing, this is not the place to spend your stay.

Great hotel, very friendly. Great Chardonnay and cocktails. Such a comfy bed.

I tested the terrace of this place, beautiful seen on the main void of Montreux and the lake. The service is fast and professional, one is well served although I found that it lacks a little human warmth, the atmosphere, rate obligates there is relatively stilted. The cocktails are very good and the "sprite" I ordered was perfect. For a drink in Montreux in a chic and luxurious place, it is an excellent choice. The rates remain correct even though it is a palace.

We booked a lake-view room that proved to be larger than expected with charming appointments. The hotel staff was welcoming, courteous, and very helpful. The hotel lobby is very attractive, and the hotel is beautifully situated on the shore of Lake Leman (Lake Geneva), adjacent to the headquarters of the Montreux Jazz Festival. We look forward to another stay in the next year or two.

This hotel is fine because of this good lake location and for the food. However, it is not worth the 5 stars. The facilities are quite old. Carpet everywhere, small elevator, no renovation in the bedroom.

We had a wonderful few days stay at the hotel, I was welcomed by a wonderful lady at the front desk who took care of our room check-in and check-out. Everything was great in the hotel, we enjoyed the beautiful view from the room terrace. And I wished if it was possible to extend my stay for additional days however, the hotel appeared to be fully booked.

Great hotel. It is so nice to be in a place that has a/c when it is 37 degrees Celsius outside. Amenities are great and it is really nice being right on the promenade. Waterfront balcony does not have a busy road in front and the view is amazing.

We had a relatively comfortable stay. It was very hot and muggy the week we spent in Montreux and it was difficult to get the room cool enough for comfortable sleeping. At other times of the year this probably would not have been a problem. The staff was very attentive. The food was good. The location was fantastic.

The only thing that was a little out of tune was the service at breakfast: slow, little attentive and almost "annoyed" of the service to be accomplished.

Met the expectations. Overlooking Lac Léman. Facilities are a little outdated. Overall good, its location is irresistible.

Just oozes comfort and class. Lovely rooms and spacious as well. All the necessary mod cons and a coffee machine in your room as well lake side rooms have breathe taking views well worth the upgrade.

Nice hotel, amazing view.

2 nights on the 7th floor with view on the Lake. We particularly enjoyed the intimacy of the large balconies with view of the Lake and the quality of the proposed equipment. Cleanliness was to the appointment, the staff friendly and efficient. Only downside, the restaurant and the main bar of the Hotel were renovating during our stay that we learned as a result of an e-mail received two weeks before our passage only.

Come for the visit to the Christmas market, we were surprised by the warm atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The view on the Lake and the mountains is breathtaking…

The staff is friendly but far 5 stars! Stammering, clients waiting unnecessarily. Holes of cigarettes in the carpets, worthy of the 1980s decoration. Reception unreachable. Poorly soundproofed rooms (between the TV of the neighbor and the antics of the couple above). Products obsolete in the fridge! Complex stay good for those seeking the low cost Montreux. Restaurant cancelled in view of the foregoing so untested. The price means that the view of the Lake.

This is not worth 5 Star. Location is very good. Direct by the lake. The rooms are quite old. Enough space. Wellness area was closed for maintance.

The 5-star Hotel and also the Restaurant does not deserve. The Hotel is getting on in years and would have urgently be renovated. You have to be in this Hotel not even a little bit of color to at least the walls and Ceilings in some areas of the hotel, again something to look better. The walls have scratches and on the Ceilings you can see fingerprints. This all seems not only since yesterday. On the doors are damaged fittings to see that with some simple steps could be resolved. In my room was the wardrobe already almost falling apart. The fittings falling down. There are several damages on the carpeting. The bathroom door has also been times its best time seen. At the bottom is the wood swollen, the hinge bolt are also not completely been used. The wet bar is a cheap fridge in a basic wardrobe set. As I, the closet door opened, and then the refrigerator door wanted to open, I would almost have the fridge pulled out, because he's different than the door struck was and also not firmly mounted. The Service also complies is not a 5 star Hotel. In a country in which there are multiple languages out there, if a Hotel should at least be able staff that speaks this language and understand it. This is unacceptable. The Service in the hotel restaurant is also miserable. Despite the pre-order is once the wine ran out. Something I had not even heard of let alone have to experience. The food was more than poor. The plates were warmer than the food on it.

Its not the best thu… Montreux palase the best thn you got swiss majestic 2nd.

I made the reservation by phone to have everything you need for my 4-month-old baby. But instead of crib had an extra bed, they had warmer as I was told the day of the reservation. We had to ask the slippers to get at the Spa since they were not in the room and told us that they only had a couple, that we would have to wait until the next day for the other pair. There was a wedding and although we were on the fifth floor was as if we were on the side since the music was heard. Just 5 stars for the view, the rest is 3.
